Mallory attended Loyola University Chicago and earned a BA in Public Relations and Advertising in 2011. She began her career in 2005 as a promoter for OnSite Promotions, where she stayed for two years.

She then worked as a Brand Ambassador for Banana Republic beginning in 2010 and lasting nearly a year. She completed her Summer Fellow Internship at Big Shoulders Fund after working for Banana Republic.
