Mallory McMorrow married Michigan-born and raised husband Ray Wert with whom she has their daughter, Noa. They live with their rescue dog, Detroit.
Growing up, her family was very involved in church. She sang in the choir. Her mother was a CCD teacher. One day, their priest called a meeting with her mother and told her that she was not living up to the expectations of the church because she was divorced and because he didn’t see her with them at mass every Sunday.
Her mother used to volunteer at a soup kitchen every Sunday. Mallory McMorrow was taught at a young age by her mother “that Christianity and faith were about being a part of a community, about recognizing our privileges and blessings, and about doing what we could to help others”.
