The 58-year-old was born and reared in Melbourne, Australia, and was previously married with two children. The family previously lived in Narre Warren, a suburb of Melbourne.

Skully, on the other hand, abandoned his wife and children and plunged into the world of crime, eventually becoming one of the worst pedophiles in history.
