The video of a woman who died on Smith Machine in the Mexican city has gone viral on Twitter and Reddit.
In the clip, the woman died in front of he daughter while attempting a 405-pound ie 180 Kgs lift.
The weights appeared to be too heavy for her body, which crushed her head to death on the smith machine.
Two other people in the gym tried to free the woman by lifting the barbell. However, it was too late as the woman had already lost her breathing.
The footage has circulated on social media exactly on March 12, 2022. As of now, it has been viewed by over a million people.
Following the incident, many people have commented the woman had only one spotter on the left side.
She was unable to shrug the weight forward and position herself free.
These are worst-case scenarios that highlight the need of following safe gym practices.

The woman who died in the Mexican gym appeared to be between 35-40 years old.
She had brought her daughter to the gym, who as seen in the video must be in her early teens.

The Mexican woman was possibly a new gym-goer. The incident had happened in Peralvillo, Cuauhtemoc in Mexico City.
According to sources, the woman’s daughter who was seen wearing the yellow jacket was totally shocked after witnessing her mom dying.
She has been receiving phycological assistance. Meanwhile, the case is still being thoroughly investigated.
For the time being, the woman and her daughter must remain anonymous.
