The left-back had signed for the Everton FC in the year 1967 and has played for 179 times wearing the mercy side jersey.

After leaving Everton, he played for Wrexham in the Football League and for the Wrexham and Tulsa Roughnecks.

Darracott has previously held coaching positions at Everton, Manchester City, and Blackburn Rovers. Also worked as a scout for Bolton Wanderers.

In 2008, Darracott worked for his former club,  Wrexham as the assistant to manager Dean Saunders. Yet again, he had a spell at Blackburn Rovers.
