A 41-year-old, Tetsuya Yamagami, has been charged with the shooting of former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

Sinzo was the longest-serving Prime Minister known for his work thriving the economy. The horrendous incident took place while he was campaigning for the election.

The police suspected Tetsuya Yamangami as a prime suspect, who is believed to be a resident of Nara City. According to the Japanese media, the suspect was not happy with the work of Shinzo Abe during his tenure and wanted to kill him.

A witness of the shooting clarified that the shooter, after the shot, didn’t rush to get away. Instead, he laid down the gun and remained on the spot as Abe’s security personnel caught him.

The weapon used in the incident was a semi-modified gun. After shooting, there was a large amount of smoke present.

The police authorities have now arrested Tetsuya Yamagami.

After the shooting, Tetsuya was tackled by the previous prime minister’s security team and eventually turned up to law enforcement. However, the questioning continues, and no fresh information has been made public by the police agency.
