Tommy Dysart was an Australian stage, television, and film actor who was most known for his work in dramas and comedies on television, as well as character roles in films and miniseries. He was also active in a number of charitable organizations and believed in giving back to his community.

In 1940, he was born in Scotland to Scottish parents. Later, he moved to Australia and naturalized as a citizen in order to pursue better acting possibilities.

Over the years, he appeared in a number of blockbuster films, including The Man from Snowy River (1982) and Against the Wind (1978).

What Illness Did Tommy Dysart Goggomobil Die From?

Tommy Dysart is alleged to have died due to illness after a brief battle. The sickness has not been known yet, to determine that, medical tests will be performed to establish the particular ailment that killed him.

The actor has been in good health for the majority of the year, despite some minor health difficulties that come with aging.

In the early 1980s, Dysart made a brief appearance in the series Prisoner, in which he played the nasty and icy prison guard Jock Stewart, which is possibly his most well-known acting role.

Stewart claimed to Judy Bryant, a fellow prisoner, that he was the one who murdered her lesbian lover, fellow prisoner Sharon Gilmour after he was discharged from the prison service.

This revelation ended a murder-mystery storyline in the series, but it also began a long-running story arc in which Bryant periodically escaped from jail in an attempt to take her revenge on Stewart.

Meet Tommy Dysart Wife

Joan Brockenshire, an actress, was Tommy Dysart’s wife.

Joan began acting when she was seven years old, performing on shows like “Young Seven” and “Stairway to the Stars.” Joan’s character in Prisoner was Tina Britten. She is one of the most well-known musicians in Australia.

Joan’s remarkable abilities have landed her roles in shows including The Sullivans, Bell Bird, Cop Shop, and Prisoner, as well as musical theatre.

She is well known for portraying Tommy’s wife in the iconic Australian television advertisement for Yellow Pages, in which he phones a series of mechanics about his broken Goggomobil.

What Was Tommy Dysart Net Worth?

Tommy Dysart has a net worth of one million dollars. Official sources, however, have not revealed the exact figure. His acting career provided him with most of his riches.

He appeared in a well-remembered tv commercial for the Yellow Pages in the 1990s, in which he calls a series of mechanics about his malfunctioning Goggomobil.

He was also noted for appearing in advertising for Don Smallgoods as a recurring character who resembled a Mafia leader.

In the early 2000s, he continued to advertise Shannons Insurance as Goggomobil. The concept was based on a person searching for vehicle parts in the same way as any car enthusiast would.

Shannons dropped the advertising after Telstra filed a Supreme Court challenge, but continued to use Dysart and the accent.
