However, Maddow had not mentioned the actual date that she would be back. Today, 1 April 2022, she turned 49 years old and fans are wishing her a happy birthday on social media.

Rachel Maddow is on vacation and she is not leaving the show on MSNBC.
As per the NY Times, she went on a hiatus since she was engaged in several other works at the same time. She had some podcast projects to focus on and to produce for her upcoming novel-based movie, Bag Man.
Maddow will hopefully be back on TV from April of 2022 as she had promised.
