Sian Williams is a Welsh journalist known for her work with the BBC. She hosts Mind Matters with Dr. Sian for 5 News which is a  regular one-on-one interview show

Williams has a Doctorate in Psychology and ran a weekly mental health segment. She recently left Channel 5 as a news anchor but will probably still host a few shows as special projects.

 

Where Is Sian Williams Going After Leaving Channel 5?

Sin Williams is leaving Channel 5 as a news anchor but will be taking up a wider role. She announced she has decided to leave her daily new presenting role on Thursday.

Dan Walker is replacing Sian Williams to present 5 News after she announced her departure earlier this month. He has a huge task to step in the shoes of Williams.

Although Williams didn’t share full details on why she is leaving Channel 5, she must be seeking new challenges and we wish her all the best for her future.

What Happened To The BBC Presenter?

Sian Williams joined the BBC in 1985 and started as a reporter and producer for local radio stations in Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds, and Manchester.

From 1990 to 1997, she became an editor for BBC Radio 4’s The World at One and  PM programs and also edited many programs for Radio 4 and BBC Radio 5 Live. She was appointed the main female presenter of BBC Breakfast in 2005 and was in charge of programs outside of news and current affairs.
