Nembhard has represented Canada in many international competitions. He averaged at the 2021 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Latvia, where he guided his team to a bronze medal.
He began his basketball career while attending Montverde Academy. In June 2020, he committed to play collegiate basketball for Creighton, beating out Ohio State, Stanford, Florida, and Seton Hall.
