The teacher served in the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School for the last 17 years, Lydia Martinez, her aunt, stated in a statement. Evo was a loving mother and wife who loved and enjoyed hiking and running, as per the elementary school’s website.
Her aunt, Martinez, added, “I’m furious and more terrified that these shootings continue. These children and the teachers are innocent. Rifles should not be made easily available to anyone. This is my hometown, a small and beautiful community of less than 20,000.”
Moreover, she stated, “I never imagined such incident would ever happen to especially loved ones. All we can do is pray hard for our nation, state, schools, and especially all families.”

On Tuesday, an 18-year-old gunman identified as Salvador Ramos opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, killing at least 19 children and two adults, one of whom was recognized as teacher Evo Morales.
Evo, a loving mother, wife, and teacher, was shot dead in the shooting. According to the school’s website, she has been an educator for 17 years and co-teaching with Mrs. Garcia for five years.
Governor Greg Abbott said in a statement, “Ramos horrifically and incomprehensibly carried out the mass shooting alone at Robb Elementary School, Texas, before being shot dead by the police officers.
