In July 2017, they became the fourth-morning program in the more than 50-year history of WIVK. They first worked together at WHMA in Anniston, Alabama, in the early 1990s.

Kris Rochester and Tony Randall are natives of Alabama and Ohio, respectively. According to Rochester, they met in Alabama, moved to San Diego, and subsequently performed on a syndicated show for around ten years in Nashville, according to Rochester.
