Imposter Posing as CIA Agent Accused of Attempted Murder in Train Attack

0

A London resident is now facing serious legal consequences after purportedly impersonating a CIA agent and launching an attack on a man at Chicago’s Union Station, mistakenly identifying him as a hitman.

Chicago Police have confirmed the arrest of Zakir Ibrahim to Oxygen, noting that the 25-year-old has been charged with attempted murder following the incident that occurred on March 3.

According to court documents reviewed by Oxygen, Ibrahim allegedly confronted a 32-year-old Amtrak traveler inside Chicago’s Union Station. He reportedly brandished a knife, pressing it to the man’s nose, before stepping back and making a slashing motion towards his throat, narrowly missing by less than an inch.

Prosecutors stated that the victim had to quickly lean back to avoid having his throat cut.

In a statement provided to Oxygen, prosecutors emphasized that the act of slashing with the knife—characterized as a “lethal cutting instrument”—constituted a “substantial step toward killing” the victim, and pointed out that the assault happened “without provocation.”

Ibrahim allegedly made spontaneous “utterances” during the attack claiming that he was a CIA agent and believed the victim was a hitman, prosecutors alleged in the detention filings, describing him as suffering “a break from reality” during the incident.

The interaction was captured on surveillance footage and took place in front of several witnesses, including the victim’s wife, prosecutors said.

Amtrak Police Officers responded to the scene and ordered Ibrahim to the ground, per the complaint, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Chicago Police declined to provide any additional details of the case to Oxygen

The 25-year-old was booked into the Cook County Jail on March 4, where he continues to be held without bond, according to jail records reviewed by Oxygen.

His next court appearance is scheduled for March 27.

It’s unclear whether Ibrahim has retained an attorney.

Mexican National Caught Attempting Bridge Underside Crossing into US

A man from Mexico found himself in custody after he was caught climbing under a bustling overpass in El Paso, as shown in a video made public on Tuesday.

This incident took place near Loop 375, adjacent to the border wall in the Bridge of the Americas sector. The individual navigated the underside of the bridge, traversing the support beams while traffic flowed below.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that officers quickly arrived at the scene to detain the man.

The Bridge of the Americas serves as a major thoroughfare for both vehicles and pedestrians crossing between the U.S. and Mexico.

It’s not the first time migrants have used this tactic in the area. In November 2025, two individuals climbed beneath the same overpass, navigating between concrete support beams using wooden planks, according to a local outlet.

The latest incident highlights ongoing public safety concerns for both migrants and drivers, as some attempt increasingly risky methods to enter the U.S.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said on Instagram that agents remain vigilant as illegal crossing tactics evolve.

Iran’s Threat Sends Oil Prices Soaring to $110: Global Markets in Turmoil

0

Oil prices have surged close to $110 per barrel following reports from Iran of an airstrike on a facility within the world’s largest natural gas field. This development has sent shockwaves through global markets, prompting a significant rise in Brent crude prices.

By the close of trading in London on Wednesday, Brent oil reached $108.21 per barrel, a noticeable increase from Tuesday’s closing price of $101.95. While this figure remains below the recent conflict high of $119.25, it is still considerably higher than the $73.08 recorded on February 27, before tensions began to rise.

Amidst this backdrop of volatility, Kathleen Brooks of XTB offered her perspective, saying, “If you thought it would be a straightforward lead-up to the FOMC meeting later this evening, think again.” Her comment underscores the market’s current state of unease.

“Markets are back in panic mode,” Brooks continued. “The Brent crude oil price is surging and has risen by another 5 percent today. Meanwhile, the gold price has dropped by 2.8 percent and is below $5,000 per ounce. Bonds are being sold off, yields are climbing, and the dollar is gaining strength.”

‘Markets are back in panic mode. The Brent crude oil price is surging and is higher by another 5 per cent today, the gold price is down 2.8 per cent and is below 5,000 dollars per ounce, bonds are getting sold off, yields are surging, and the dollar is rallying.’

She continued: ‘Iran has warned Gulf nations that their energy assets and infrastructure are now legitimate targets…The risk is that an oil shipping crisis is morphing into an oil supply crisis.’

The increase followed a report that facilities belonging to Iran’s oil industry in South Pars and Asaluyeh were attacked on Wednesday, Iranian state media reported, prompting Tehran to warn that it would target energy installations across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Analysts have warned that any attack in South Pars would raise the possibility of retaliatory attacks by Iran on Gulf energy facilities, including those belonging to oil majors in Qatar.

The Brent crude oil benchmark hit $109.91 a barrel on Wednesday afternoon following that facilities belonging to Iran’s oil industry in South Pars and Asaluyeh were attacked

Qatar called it an Israeli attack without mentioning any U.S. role.

The Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson called it a ‘dangerous and irresponsible’ escalation that put global energy security at risk.

Qatar has fully shut its liquefied natural gas production because of the war, cutting 20 per cent of the world’s LNG supplies, and any damage to facilities could extend the outage beyond May.

Tasnim news agency said the attacks targeted petrochemical facilities in South Pars and added that the extent of the damage was ‌not yet clear.

Following the attack, Iranian gas flows to Iraq were halted as Iran diverted its gas domestically, a senior Iraqi official told Reuters. Tehran supplies between a third and 40 per cent of Iraq’s gas and power needs.

The Iran war has dealt a massive energy shock to the global economy by choking off exports of crude oil and liquefied natural gas through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has also attacked key export facilities in its Gulf neighbours, putting more upward pressure on energy prices, even though Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates are not taking part in the US-Israeli attacks on Iran.

In the case of South Pars, the energy shock would appear to have a different target: not Iran’s exports, but its biggest source of domestic energy supplies in a country that sometimes struggles to produce enough electricity.

Iran relies heavily on gas to produce electricity and heat homes.

It is the fourth-largest consumer of natural gas in the world, behind the US, China and Russia, according to the Centre on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, even though its economy is much smaller, In contrast to other Middle East countries, it uses gas for heating due to its cold climate and much of that use is subsidized, which discourages efficient use. South Pars is the main source.

A fire has been reported in Ras Laffan - arar's main site for production of liquified natural gas

A fire has been reported in Ras Laffan – arar’s main site for production of liquified natural gas

Although South Pars mainly supplies Iran’s domestic needs, global oil prices rose, and gas prices in Europe jumped 7 per cent on the news due to fears of Iranian retaliation on Gulf energy infrastructure.

‘The attack is a serious escalation which threatens retaliatory strikes on Gulf and Israeli production facilities,’ said Andres Cala, geopolitical analyst at energy intelligence firm Montel News.

Iran has suffered power shortages because of interruptions to gas supplies, even though on paper it has huge energy reserves. In July, public buildings had to shut down when a heat wave strained the power grid.

It comes as missiles caused ‘extensive damage’ in Qatar tonight, hours after Iran threatened to wage a ‘full-scale economic war’ by attacking energy facilities across the Middle East.

Video showed huge explosions in Ras Laffan – the country’s main site for production of liquefied natural gas – as well as Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh.

Energy sites in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar were evacuated after Tehran warned it would hit them with strikes in ‘the coming hours’.

‘These centres have become direct and legitimate targets ‌and will be targeted in the coming hours,’ the Islamic Republic warned.

Earlier, Israel said Iran’s intelligence minister Esmail Khatib had been killed in an overnight airstrike in Tehran, marking the latest assassination to hit the regime.

Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz, declared Khatib had been ‘eliminated’ and promised more ‘significant surprises’ today as the Israeli military hunts down high-ranking Iranian officials.

It comes as Iranians gather for the funeral of Ali Larijani, the assassinated security chief whose death was confirmed by Tehran last night. Larijani and military commander Gholamreza Soleimani were assassinated yesterday.

Revitalize Glute Strength Post-60 with These 5 Effective Standing Exercises

0

For those over 60, squats might not be the best solution for rebuilding glute strength. Instead, consider these five standing exercises that can revitalize your glutes more effectively.

Strong glute muscles are crucial for mobility and stability as we age. They play key roles in walking, hip stability, lower back protection, and assistance in activities like rising from a chair or climbing stairs. As these muscles weaken, individuals may experience a decrease in speed, stability, and increased fatigue during daily activities. In my experience coaching adults over 50, relying solely on squats isn’t always effective. This is often because squats don’t engage the glutes as efficiently as people assume, especially when issues like limited mobility or knee pain interfere with proper technique.

If the posture, depth, or hip involvement during squats isn’t spot-on, the effort tends to shift to the quadriceps instead. This is why I often recommend standing exercises that specifically target the glutes while minimizing knee strain. These exercises emphasize the contraction and activation of the glute muscles, rather than the simple up-and-down motion of a squat.

Furthermore, the functional benefits of standing glute exercises are significant. Since these exercises occur in an upright position, they strengthen the muscles in the same way they are used for everyday activities like walking, balancing, and stair climbing. Clients who consistently incorporate these exercises into their routines often notice a quicker improvement in strength and stability compared to traditional squat-focused workouts.

Another benefit of standing glute exercises involves functional carryover. Because these movements happen in an upright position, the muscles strengthen in the same posture used for walking, balancing, and climbing stairs. When clients train the glutes this way consistently, they often regain strength and stability faster than they do with traditional squatting routines alone.

The following standing exercises focus on activating the glutes from multiple angles while keeping the joints comfortable. Perform each movement slowly and concentrate on squeezing the glute muscles during every repetition. Over time, these exercises help restore the strength and power that keep the body moving confidently.

Standing Hip Extensions

Standing hip extensions directly target the gluteus maximus, the largest muscle responsible for pushing the leg backward and propelling the body forward during walking. I often start clients with this movement because it isolates the glutes without requiring complicated coordination or heavy resistance.

Extending the leg behind the body forces the glutes to contract while the hips remain stable. Many clients quickly realize how little these muscles were working during their previous workouts. With consistent practice, the glutes begin firing more naturally during everyday activities.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall while holding a chair for balance
  • Extend one leg straight behind you
  • Squeeze the glutes at the top
  • Lower the leg slowly
  • Alternate legs steadily.

Standing Kickbacks

Kickbacks strengthen the glutes through a slightly larger range of motion than basic hip extensions. I frequently use this movement once clients become comfortable activating their glute muscles.

The key involves keeping the torso upright while moving only the leg. When performed slowly, the glutes remain under tension throughout the lift and the return. This continuous engagement helps rebuild muscle endurance and strength.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with hands on a chair
  • Lift one leg backward in a controlled motion
  • Keep the knee slightly bent
  • Squeeze the glutes at the top
  • Lower slowly and switch legs.

Standing Side Leg Raises

Side leg raises activate the gluteus medius, a smaller but extremely important muscle that stabilizes the hips during walking and balancing. Weakness here often leads to hip instability and lower back discomfort.

I include this movement in nearly every glute-strength routine because it strengthens the muscles that keep the pelvis level while the body moves. Many clients notice improved balance after just a few weeks of practice.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall beside a chair
  • Lift one leg out to the side
  • Keep the torso upright
  • Lower the leg slowly
  • Repeat and switch sides.

Step-Back Toe Taps

Step-back toe taps strengthen the glutes while improving balance and coordination. This exercise mimics the backward hip motion used during walking and stepping, making it highly functional.

I often add this movement because it forces the glutes to control both the backward step and the return to standing. The muscles remain engaged throughout the entire movement, building strength and stability simultaneously.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart
  • Step one foot backward and tap the floor
  • Return to the starting position
  • Keep your torso upright
  • Alternate legs steadily.

Standing Glute Squeeze

The standing glute squeeze may look simple, but it teaches the body how to fully activate the glute muscles. Many people lose the ability to contract these muscles strongly over time, which limits strength during other exercises.

I often use this movement as a finishing drill because it reinforces strong glute engagement. When clients learn to contract these muscles deliberately, other lower-body exercises become far more effective.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart
  • Tighten both glute muscles firmly
  • Hold the contraction for a few seconds
  • Relax briefly
  • Repeat several times.

Unveiling the Family Background of Kouri Richins: Meet Her Parents and Discover Their Story

The Darden family from Utah never imagined their lives would become the focus of national attention. For years, they enjoyed a peaceful existence near the breathtaking Wasatch Mountains, far removed from the turmoil of criminal investigations and media scrutiny.

However, their world was irrevocably altered when Kouri Richins, the girl they nurtured, became embroiled in one of the country’s most sensational murder trials. With the guilty verdict handed down on March 16, 2026, the family faced a heart-wrenching dilemma: did they ever truly know the daughter and sister they cherished?

Who Are Kouri Richins Parents

Lisa Darden: Who Is Kouri Richins Mother and Her Supportive Role?

Lisa Darden, Kouri’s mother, has been a steadfast supporter of her daughter from the very beginning. She frequently visited Kouri in jail and passionately defended her in interviews, asserting her innocence to the public.

Lisa’s unwavering loyalty took many by surprise, especially as the investigation began to probe into her own past. Detectives discovered that Lisa’s former partner died from an oxycodone overdose in 2006, with Lisa listed as the beneficiary.

Ronald Horace Darden, who passed away on January 15, 2010—not 2004 as often misreported—was born in Sumter, South Carolina, and worked as an instrumentation supervisor.

Ronald Horace Darden passed away on January 15 2010, not 2004 as commonly misreported. Born in Sumter South Carolina, he worked as an instrumentation supervisor.

His obituary painted a picture of a loving father who cared deeply for his family. Kouri was just 19 when she lost him, a wound that shaped her young adulthood in ways only those close to her truly understand.

Ronnie Darden became his sister’s most vocal defender, telling reporters she was completely distraught after Eric’s death. He insisted Eric loved to party and likely died from an accidental overdose.

Prosecutors later alleged Kouri tried coaching Ronnie through a letter found in her cell. The document supposedly instructed him to create a false narrative about Eric’s drug use.

Kouri’s childhood was marked by instability. Court testimony revealed her father struggled with alcohol and spent time in jail, while her mother reportedly gambled heavily.

Internet Sensation and Mom of Three Tragically Passes Away Following Tummy Tuck Procedure

0

A popular TikTok personality, known for her candid insights into motherhood, has tragically passed away following complications from a tummy tuck surgery that resulted in severe brain damage, her family has confirmed.

Rachel Tussey, 47, underwent the cosmetic procedure in Cincinnati, Ohio, on February 25, during which she suffered an anoxic brain injury, depriving her brain of oxygen.

On March 5, Rachel’s husband, Jeremy Tussey, shared the heart-wrenching decision to remove her from life support and transition her to hospice care, as detailed on the family’s GoFundMe page.

Nearly two weeks later, Jeremy announced that Rachel, a devoted mother of three, had passed away on Tuesday due to her injuries.

“We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support we have received during this unimaginably difficult period. Last night, my wife Rachel lost her battle while in hospice care,” he wrote in a heartfelt message.

‘Rachel was an amazing wife, mother, and person who touched so many lives. We will carry her memory with us always.’

The Tusseys lawyer, Bernie Layne, also confirmed Rachel’s death in a statement from the family shared with The Cincinnati Enquirer.

‘It is with deep regret and sadness that we share the news of Rachel’s passing. We would like to thank everyone, around the world, who faithfully prayed for Rachel and our entire family throughout this extraordinarily difficult time in our family’s life,’ the statement said.

Rachel had shared her cosmetic surgery journey with more than 25,000 fans on TikTok, posting videos in the days leading up to the operation.

In one clip filmed shortly before the procedure, the mom of three appeared upbeat as she prepared for surgery.

‘Please pray. I know it’s gonna be great. I’ve waited a really long time for this,’ she told viewers. ‘I’m in good hands. I know God’s got my back. Let’s do this.’

The video showed Tussey sitting in a hospital bed wearing a medical gown, alongside the caption ‘#midlifeglowup #mommymakeover.’

However, Jeremy said the routine cosmetic procedure quickly turned into a nightmare.

In an emotional update posted to TikTok on March 3, Jeremy said he had been waiting for his wife in the recovery area when he received a call around 5:45 p.m. asking him to come back to the room.

He recalled briefly speaking with Rachel’s doctor, who was leaving for the day and allegedly reassured him that the operation had gone well.

Moments later, Jeremy said he heard Rachel calling out for him.

A nurse soon entered the room and began asking Rachel how she felt after receiving medication for pain, he said.

Jeremy then noticed something was wrong.

‘Next thing you know, I look down and her face is off color,’ he recalled. ‘I assumed it was from the surgery, you know, from a lack of blood.’

When Rachel stopped responding, medical staff rushed to perform CPR.

‘I’m just a dumb construction worker, but I could tell something was wrong,’ Jeremy said in the video. ‘But there was no sense of urgency.

According to Jeremy, staff eventually contacted Rachel’s plastic surgeon, who evaluated the situation before instructing them to call emergency services.

Rachel was transported by ambulance to TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital, where she was placed on life support.

Jeremy later revealed that doctors told him she had gone more than six minutes without oxygen.

‘I was told last night that she’s brain dead,’ he said in the heartbreaking update.

Layne previously told the Daily Mail that Rachel had no ‘medical or scientific pathway to recovery’ and had ‘profound irreversible brain damage.’

Rachel is survived by her husband Jeremy and the couple’s three children, Tristan, Alec and Livi.

Thumbnail of Jealousy

There are moments when I sense that others are envious of my lifestyle—and frankly, I can see their point.

My social circle includes influential figures, I have enjoyed living in Paris, and I frequently find myself aboard luxurious superyachts in Monaco. This is all part of my role as an ambassador for some of the world’s most prestigious champagne brands.

Essentially, my life revolves around indulgence and luxury, where enjoying fine champagne is part of my daily routine.

My life is centred around luxury — and I essentially drink for a living.

I started my career in finance and business, but after reading an article in my late 20s about champagne, I decided to ‘start over’.

I then read every book there was about the sparkling wine, and when I ran out of books, I wrote a letter to the author of my favourite.

He replied: “Get on a plane, and I’ll teach you everything I know.”

So, I bought a one-way ticket to France, and learned with him across Paris, Champagne and the French Riviera.

That was 21 years ago, and now I’m based in Melbourne, where I own two businesses importing champagne to Australia and running tours in the Champagne region.

‘I didn’t think I would like you’

I receive mixed responses from the people I encounter at the champagne masterclasses or dinners I run.

There will always be women who say to me: “Oh my God, I would love to be you; I want your life.”

Others will tell me I’m a genius because I “get to drink champagne from 9am to 9pm”.

But perhaps the most common thing I hear from new people, particularly women, is: “I didn’t think I’d like you, but you’re actually a nice person.”

I can’t say whether these comments are inspired by jealousy or envy, but either way, they bring up the issue of perception.

I appeared in the fifth season of Real Housewives of Melbourne, a show that arguably invites people to live vicariously through the successful and glamorous lives of others.

With any reality show, you’re sometimes going to come across less than peachy, and I also think the perception of my life being all glitz and glam was elevated.

Sure, I might be dolled up a lot of the time on social media, for work events and when I was on the show. But if you knew me, you’d know I’m also doing the grunt work in the warehouse in my jeans, t-shirt and work boots.

And truly, it’s taken so much time and effort to get to where I am.

The social media jealousy trap

I believe the glimpses we get of other people’s lives on television or Instagram can foster envy and jealousy — whether it’s about career, lifestyle or love.

For example, I had a friend of mine message me recently saying: “Oh my God, I’ve seen my ex-boyfriend with his new girlfriend on Instagram, and she’s skinnier than me”.

And I was like: “What the f**k? Why would you actually judge yourself based on another woman?”

I often receive hate comments on my social media accounts, and I can only assume the people writing them are acting out of jealousy.

I don’t have a personal social media account, and if I didn’t have businesses to run, I wouldn’t have it at all.

Jealousy mostly comes down to perception, and social media doesn’t help.

‘Jealousy is not about the other person’

Jealousy is not about the other person; it’s about you and how you perceive someone in relation to yourself.

Some people might think my life seems perfect, but it’s not — no one’s is. But it is colourful and unusual, so I can understand how some people might be envious.

So, when friends ask me if I’m offended when strangers tell me they didn’t think they’d like me at first, I say no.

As a woman in my industry, I’ve learned to let my guard down more quickly and let people in faster — so their initial perception doesn’t continue.

I’m not offended because they’ve gotten to know me, and their opinion has changed.

Over 20 Cats Discovered Deceased; 26 Animals Rescued in Major LaGrange Operation

LAGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — In a significant operation undertaken by LaGrange Animal Control on Friday, authorities uncovered a distressing situation involving over 20 deceased cats at a residence, while successfully rescuing 26 other animals.

The LaGrange Police Department reported that they were alerted to the plight of several animals left alone for days at a LaGrange home. This was due to the homeowner’s prolonged hospitalization, which left the animals without care.

On March 13, 2026, animal control launched a multi-day rescue mission. During this effort, over 25 cats and a single dog were safely removed from the premises and taken to a local shelter. There, they are undergoing medical treatment and assessments.

“Our foremost concern was ensuring the health and safety of these animals,” stated Sergeant Matt Fowler. “We are thankful for the opportunity to intervene and provide the necessary medical care for these pets.”

Tragically, during the search of the premises for additional animals, officers found over 20 cats that had died.

Officials say that due to the state of the home, code enforcement officers deemed it out of compliance and uninhabitable.

In a release put out on Wednesday, LaGrange Police say the city is working with the homeowner to bring the property back into code compliance.
