A person who was close to Barry wrote, “I just heard this devastating news. Barry Andrews was a mentor to me in my early adult years. He always took the time to help or answer a call whenever I reached out. This is truly a loss of epic proportions. Rest in Peace, Barry. Deepest condolences to his family.”

Apart from that, the memorial service is scheduled for September 22, 2023, at Highland Park United Methodist Church at 1 p.m.

Barry Andrews was born to a sound family background in Electra, Texas, to his parents Jewell and Homer Andrews. His parents raised him in Corpus Christi.

Talking about his educational background, Barry went to Carroll High School and later graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos.

He and his wife Lana are high school sweethearts, and the pair tied the knot in their senior year. Being married for more than five decades, Barry and his wife gave birth to two kids, Blake Andrews and Natalie Andrews McGuire.

Apart from that, Barry is also survived by his brother, Trey and his sister, Judy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Andrews may be made in support of Baylor Scott & White Hospital or the M.D. Anderson Foundation.
