Resilient Rhode Island High School Hockey Team Triumphs to Championship Glory After Tragic Ice Rink Shooting

0

In the heart of Providence, Rhode Island, the echoes of triumph filled the arena as Colin Dorgan, a high school senior, stood amidst a jubilant crowd celebrating his hockey team’s championship victory. The win, clinched by a dramatic goal in the fourth overtime, was a testament to determination and skill. Yet, amid the cheers, three seats remained poignantly vacant.

These seats were meant for Dorgan’s mother, brother, and grandfather, who tragically lost their lives in a shooting that occurred while Dorgan was engaged in another game with his Blackstone Valley Co-op teammates. Their absence cast a shadow over what should have been one of the brightest moments in Dorgan’s young career.

The incident sent ripples through the tight-knit hockey community, leaving many to question the future of the high school hockey season. Despite the tragedy, Dorgan showed remarkable resilience, not only continuing to lead his team as captain but also playing a crucial role in their ascent to the Division 2 boys’ state championship, culminating in a 3-2 victory on Wednesday.

The team’s journey has garnered national attention, particularly following Dorgan’s decisive goal in a double-overtime playoff game earlier this month, which secured their spot in the championship against Lincoln High School.

“For Lincoln High School, this is just another game,” Blackstone Valley head coach Chris Librizzi remarked with emotion before the match. “But for us, who have endured the aftermath of that shooting, it’s a testament to our collective strength and healing.” Librizzi’s words were underscored by tears, reflecting the deep impact of the tragedy on the team and their community.

A rowdy crowd in the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence applauded, cried and held their breath for three tense periods before Dorgan tied the score, leading to four nerve-wracking overtime periods. Finally Blackstone Valley’s Jaxon Boyes netted the winning goal.

The ending was a much-needed catharsis for a team that has grappled with grief and trauma for weeks.

Police have identified Robert Dorgan as the shooter who killed ex-wife Rhonda Dorgan and son Aidan Dorgan on Feb. 16 in the stands of the ice rink in Pawtucket. Authorities say the shooting was targeted. Colin Dorgan’s grandfather Gerald Dorgan was also shot and later died from his wounds, and two others were severely injured.

The chaotic attack was stopped after a handful of bystanders rushed the shooter as the crowd fled. Robert Dorgan, who police say also went by the names Roberta Esposito and Roberta Dorgano, ultimately died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Librizzi, a retired firefighter who has coached hockey for more than 30 years, struggled with what to do in the aftermath. The team took some time off, and the coach made sure they participated in 10 days of counseling sessions.

He also gave each player the option of not returning to play, while encouraging anyone who made that choice to still show up on the bench or in the stands to support the team.

Despite some initial hesitation, every player came back — including Dorgan, who took the longest to decide.

“I sent Colin a text saying, ‘Bud, playoffs are this Friday night, it’s your call,” Librizzi said. “He didn’t respond all day, but at about 9 o’clock at night, he sent me a text saying, ‘Coach I’ll see you tomorrow at practice.’”

The process has not been perfect. Librizzi had to stop the first practice back several times due to players being rattled. There have been tears, from the coach to family members to even unconnected people following the team from afar. Meanwhile questions remain about what life looks after the championship game.

Librizzi is in awe of his team and the outpouring of support from the hockey community in a time of need. Friends volunteered to stitch hearts with the initials of the three who died on the front of the team’s jerseys, and many Rhode Islanders are displaying hockey sticks outside their homes in solidarity.

“We’re all still struggling with it,” Librizzi said. “We just need to be family with each other, we need to be supportive of each other moving forward and to heal from this.”

Cold Case Breakthrough: Glamorous Real Estate Agent’s Murder Finally Solved with Arrest of Suspect

An Iowa woman has been taken into custody related to the long-unsolved murder of a local real estate agent.

The West Des Moines Police Department announced that 53-year-old Kristin Ramsey was arrested on Tuesday, charged with the first-degree murder of 27-year-old Ashley Okland.

Okland was discovered with two gunshot wounds on April 8, 2011, in a model home she was showing for Iowa Realty Co.

At the time of the murder, Ramsey was employed as an administrative assistant and sales manager for Rottlund Homes, the company that developed the townhouse where Okland was found, as reported by the Des Moines Register.

Okland’s case had stumped investigators for nearly 15 years, but authorities indicated on Wednesday that no additional arrests are expected.

Okland’s sister Brittany Bruce thanked officials for their years of dedication in seeking justice.

‘That Friday afternoon when Ashley was taken from us seems so long ago. We had lost our hope in finding answers and having any justice for Ashley,’ said Bruce.

‘It was really difficult to accept that the case had gone cold.’

Josh Okland, the real estate agent’s brother, also spoke and expressed a similar sentiment of gratitude to investigators.A spokesperson for Okland’s former employer, Iowa Reality Co., hailed the break in the case.

‘Everyone within Iowa Realty and related companies was relieved for the family of our friend and colleague Ashley Okland that an arrest was made for her murder,’ said the spokesperson to the Register.

‘Her tragic passing was something that not only deeply impacted our company and community, but the national real estate world as a whole.’

However, the organization said it was shocked to learn Ramsey is the suspect.

West Des Moines Assistant Police Chief Jody Hayes said Okland’s death has haunted the community for years.

‘Ashley’s story has kept many of us awake at night, revisiting the details over and over in our minds,’ said Hayes.

‘Searching for that missing piece that would tie everything together and lead us down the right path to identifying a person that was responsible for this act.’

Okland was found critically injured after an employee at the model home she was showing heard a commotion and went to investigate.

Unveiling the Personal Life of TV Host Kiki Shepard: Meet Her Husband and Children

The entertainment world has bid farewell to a cherished television figure, as the co-host of “Showtime at the Apollo” passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2026. At 74, Kiki Shepard succumbed to a massive heart attack in her Los Angeles residence, as confirmed by her representative.

Her sudden departure has left a void for fans who cherished her glamour and charisma on screen for 16 years. As they mourn, many have turned to social media with a lingering question: did the beloved host leave behind a husband and children?

Who Are TV Host Kiki Shepard Husband and Kids

Who Is Kiki Shepard’s Husband? The Rumored Marriage Details

Those hoping for a tale of romance may find the truth somewhat elusive. Despite the swirl of online speculation, Kiki Shepard never publicly confirmed being married. The rumors that circulated suggested a marriage to businessman John A. Rodgers around 1989, while other whispers mentioned a spouse named Ray Lambert. However, her official representatives have consistently stated that such claims are unfounded and that the host remained unattached, either by choice or by keeping that part of her life intensely private.

Similarly, Kiki Shepard’s maternal status remains a subject of speculation. Conflicting reports and entertainment sites have claimed she had two daughters, affectionately nicknamed LaLa and TayTay, though these details have not been substantiated. Her life, rich in mystery, continues to spark curiosity even after her passing.

Did Kiki Shepard Have Children? Facts About Her Kids and Stepkids

Conflicting reports have emerged about whether Kiki Shepard had children of her own. One entertainment site claimed she had two daughters she affectionately called LaLa and TayTay.

Yet these claims directly contradict official statements from her representatives following her death. Her family confirmed she had no biological children. The rumors about stepchildren from an alleged marriage also remain unconfirmed by any reliable source. The confusion highlights how successfully she separated her public persona from private matters.

Why Did Kiki Shepard Keep Her Family Life So Private?

The Apollo icon belonged to an era when celebrities maintained boundaries their fans respected. She built a four decade career without leveraging personal relationships for publicity.

She told interviewers her work defined her legacy, not her romantic history. This deliberate choice meant viewers knew her glamorous on stage persona without accessing her off stage reality. In today’s social media saturated world, her discretion stands as a testament to her values. She controlled her narrative completely.

Kiki Shepard’s Family Background: Parents, Sisters, and Close Relatives

Born Chiquita Renee Shepard in Tyler, Texas, she grew up surrounded by artistic influence. Her father John Edward Shepard coached sports and played semi professional baseball. Her mother Dorothy Hortense Simpson taught school and performed as a dancer.

She shared the spotlight with two accomplished sisters. Von Gretchen Shepard made history as Miss Black America 1974. Cassandra Pia Shepard built a career as a textile and jewelry designer. Her family statement called her a cherished sister, auntie, and friend who was their guiding light.

Unpacking ‘Cross’ Season 2 Finale: Luz’s Shocking Confrontation with Lance Durand

As we bid farewell to Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge) in the second season of Cross, the finale leaves us with much to ponder.

**Spoiler Alert: Details about the Season 2 finale of Cross, now available on Prime Video, are discussed below.**

In Episode 8, titled “Quemar,” the fate of Luz (Jeanine Mason) hangs in the balance. Will she complete her mission by eliminating Lance Durand (Matthew Lillard) and Nat Gancarz (Lou Jurgens)? Moreover, if she fails, who will hold these figures accountable for their corruption and criminal entanglements?

This season has been nothing short of intense, so it’s fitting that the finale delivers a high-octane conclusion. Whether you’re revisiting the episode for clarity or catching up for a discussion with friends, we’ve got the insights you need.

Dive into the Season 2 finale of Cross to uncover Luz’s ultimate fate, find out if Lance Durand survives, and explore the reasoning behind Alex’s challenging choice…

Cross Season 2 Ending Explained: Does Luz Kill Nat and Lance?

Yes and no. While Luz does manage to take out Nat, Lance’s personal bodyguard and the second-to-last person on her hitlist, she is stopped by Alex and his team before she can finish the job with Lance. In the final episode, Nat is sent to an urgent care after having what appears to be an allergic reaction, only for Luz to be waiting for her at the hospital, walking into her room and saying, “Sorry for the wait, but your time is up.” The two get into a physical fight but Luz manages to stab Nat and slit her throat, leaving her to bleed out on the floor as Luz exits, and a plaque on the wall shows that Luz’s mother worked at the urgent care.

How Does Alex and His Team Stop Luz From Killing Lance?

After hijacking Lance and his team on the side of the road in Iowa, where Lance is set to launch his big Prosperity Seed initiative, Luz takes Lance to the site of the big announcement and forces him to jump into his own grave. What’s worse is that at the bottom of the pit in the empty field is Nat’s body, which causes Lance to start crying. This is also the same spot that Lance walked on earlier in the episode, at his family farm, where his vision of Prosperity Seed started decades ago.

Just as Lance tries to negotiate with her, telling her that they’re really not all that different (sure, bud, that’ll get you far!), Alex and John (Isaiah Mustafah) arrive and confront Luz, who holds a gun to Lance’s head. She opts to toss Lance in the pit and hit the excavator to try and bury him in dirt. As John and Alex unearth (literally) Lance from the dirt, Luz flees and manages to get away.

How Does Alex Catch Luz?

After receiving an anonymous call from Luz — who still is set on bringing down Lance, even as she goes back into hiding — Alex is finally able to shed light on Aunt Clare (Michelle C. Bonilla) being responsible for setting up her mom. It had been revealed earlier in the season that Clare took $50,000 from Lance and his associates to deliver Luz’s mom on a silver platter, and, up until this point, Luz had no idea about her aunt’s complicity.

Ultimately, Luz asks her aunt to meet her at the U.S.-Canada border, where she confronts her about what she’s done, only for Alex to show up. Trying to make amends, Clare pulls a gun on Alex and tells Luz to run. Having watched her aunt practically take her own life, knowing now that Clare was the one who killed Donnie (Wes Chatham), and that there is no way out, Luz decides to get up on the side of the bridge and swandive backwards. This happens only after Alex begs her to get down and she reminds him that he promised to bring Lance to justice.

Does Luz Get Away With It in the End?

Here’s where things get really interesting. Unless you see the light leave someone’s eyes in a show or movie, they can always come back. Spoiler alert: Luz is alive! After jumping off the bridge in the Season 2 finale, we actually see her later on, taking part in a funeral parade for one of Lance’s victims in Mexico. While we never see her face, the audience is shown a shot of her distinctive back tattoo, which gives us reason to believe she survived the fall and made her way south to form a new life.

DECIDER actually spoke with series creator, Ben Watkins, about the decision to let Luz live, and he shared that it was not initially the plan, but that they fell head over heels (is this too on the nose?!) and had to keep her around. You can read more of his thoughts on the matter HERE.

Why Does Alex Cross Quit His Job At the End of Season 2?

After watching Luz presumably take her own life, but receiving a thumb drive with evidence of his wrongdoing, Alex is brought in to talk with his supervisors and finds out they have no plans to try and charge Lance. He winds up making a break for it and becoming a wanted fugitive in the process. While Kayla (Alona Tal) and the entire FBI attempt to triangulate his location, Alex once again flees and goes for the one person he knows will disseminate the information about Lance that is on the hard drive: Senator Pete Ashford (Josh Peck).

Locking himself in Ashford’s office and pleading with him to do the right thing, Alex hands off the hard drive and tells him that the only way they can both make things right is to out Lance publicly. Just as Alex hands off the drive, Kayla and her cronies barge in and arrest Alex.

Thankfully, the next scene sees Senator Ashford withdrawing his support for the Prosperity Seed project, unveiling the mountain of information against Lance and the conspiracy within governmental agencies to cover up his wrongdoing. He comes with the receipts, showing photographs of bodies being discovered on Lance’s property. Ashford then lists off the names and shows pictures of seven children whose bodies have been identified, as Lance attempts to run from the scene.

Having been wrongfully arrested and later set free, Alex ends Season 2 by handing in his badge and gun, telling his superiors that he simply cannot do this work anymore, knowing how many people at all levels were involved in protecting those in power. Will he return to the force? That’s a question for Season 3.

Wingman Stirs Trouble at Bars, Ends Night with Shocking Altercation: Police Report

Inset: Olajuwon Dickerson (Miami Dade Corrections). Background: The area in Miami Beach where Olajuwon Dickerson allegedly stabbed his friend after the victim confronted Dickerson for stealing away women that they met at bars (Google Maps).

A Florida bachelor party took a shocking turn when a man allegedly humiliated his friend by capturing the attention of all the women they encountered at Miami Beach bars. This led to the friend confronting him, resulting in a violent altercation where the man was stabbed, according to police reports.

Olajuwon Dickerson, 32, hailing from Massachusetts, now faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The charges stem from an incident where he allegedly attacked his friend during a night out with him and two other friends. This is based on an arrest affidavit accessed by Law&Crime.

The situation escalated to the point where Dickerson himself was stabbed. This occurred when the victim, in an act of self-defense, wielded a knife against him. Dickerson made a court appearance this week via a remote connection from the hospital, as reported by local TV station WPLG.

According to the affidavit, both Dickerson and the victim were in Miami Beach for a bachelor party and had accommodations at an Airbnb in the Miami Gardens area. “Witnesses reported they met some women at bars on Ocean Drive. The victim became agitated when the women focused their attention solely on Dickerson,” the document reveals.

Tensions boiled over after the group left the bars. The victim confronted Dickerson when the women they met decided to leave in a vehicle with Dickerson and another friend. The confrontation escalated when Dickerson exited the vehicle to engage with the victim, who was in a separate car, leading to the altercation, as detailed in the affidavit.

“The defendant approached and told him to get out of the vehicle,” the affidavit alleges, citing statements from witnesses. “All witnesses stated that immediately after the defendant approached [the victim] they saw blood … [The victim] was bleeding from the abdomen area.”

Police say the man told investigators that he “suddenly realized he had been stabbed with a knife and, in fear of being stabbed again, he began to defend himself” against Dickerson, who was stabbed in the arm.

“While witnesses were attempting to stop the bleeding on the defendant, [a witness] stated the defendant handed him a folding knife covered in blood,” according to the affidavit. “All parties stayed on the scene until police arrived.”

The knife that Dickerson allegedly used was located by cops, but he denied wielding it, according to police. He also “denied being in an altercation” with the victim, per the affidavit.

“The defendant stated [the men] left the bar, and he remembered nothing else,” according to police.

Dickerson has been ordered to have no more contact with the friend he allegedly stabbed. He is being held without bond.

Trenton Woman Faces Federal Prison for Orchestrating Multi-State Unemployment Fraud Scheme

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – A woman from South Carolina has been handed a federal prison sentence and mandated to repay funds due to her involvement in a scheme that spanned several states to illegitimately acquire unemployment benefits.

Ricki Johnson, aged 42 and hailing from Trenton, South Carolina, will be incarcerated for 54 months following her guilty plea to Mail Fraud, as confirmed by U.S. Attorney Margaret E. “Meg” Heap for the Southern District of Georgia on Wednesday.

In addition to her prison sentence, U.S. District Court Judge Dudley H. Bowen has instructed Johnson to make restitution payments and forfeit $104,632, with an additional mandate of three years under supervised release after her prison term concludes.

Evidence presented in court revealed that Johnson submitted fraudulent unemployment benefit applications electronically to around 18 states over a span of two years. Among these states, Georgia, South Carolina, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Mississippi, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania issued approximately $104,632 in benefits, some of which were provided via a debit card sent through the U.S. Mail.

Video Captures Suspect’s Dramatic River Escape as Officers Engage in Paddleboard Pursuit

0

In a rather unconventional pursuit, two law enforcement officers from Florida recently took to paddleboards to capture a suspect attempting to evade arrest. The incident unfolded earlier this week, casting a spotlight on the creativity and determination of the officers involved.

The sequence of events began when officers from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, alongside Daytona Beach Shores police, were questioning 28-year-old Chase Cruz in Volusia County. It was during this routine interaction on Monday, March 16, that Cruz made a sudden decision to flee on foot, catching the officers by surprise.

Bodycam footage captured the precise moment Cruz bolted, just as police were in the midst of reading him his rights. This spur-of-the-moment escape attempt didn’t end on land, as Cruz soon leaped into the nearby Halifax River, prompting deputies to pursue him into the water.

In an unexpected twist, the officers quickly transitioned from land to water by commandeering paddleboards to reach Cruz and bring him into custody. As a result of his escapade, Cruz now faces charges of loitering and prowling, along with resisting arrest, as confirmed by authorities from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

Cruz subsequently jumped in the nearby Halifax River, forcing deputies to enter the water to reach him.

Video posted to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Facebook page shows the two officers using paddleboards to catch up with Cruz, who can be seen floating in the water wearing the same blue hoodie he was talking to authorities in.

The university announced in an online statement that the flooding, which occurred on Sunday, severely damaged essential building systems, including electricity, elevators, water heaters, card access, and data infrastructure. Officials clarified that no personal belongings of students were harmed.

After assessing the damage, university staff concluded that repairs won’t be feasible before the semester concludes. Consequently, students will be relocated to new dorms between Saturday, March 21, and Monday, March 23, though they may not be paired with their current roommates.

Inside Chelsea: Rosenior’s Future, Enzo’s Potential Exit, Estevao’s Absence, and Transfer Window Strategies

0

Chelsea’s recent exit from the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain has left the team with the FA Cup and a top-five finish in the Premier League as their main objectives for the remainder of the season.

The decisive 8-2 defeat by the current European champions highlighted the significant gap between Chelsea and the top-tier clubs, despite the match being evenly poised until the 75th minute in Paris.

Following this Champions League setback, numerous questions have emerged for Liam Rosenior, the squad, and the Chelsea board to address.

Chelsea's humbling by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League was a stark reminder of the gap between the Blues and Europe's elite

Chelsea’s humbling by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League was a stark reminder of the gap between the Blues and Europe’s elite

Is Liam Rosenior facing mounting pressure?

Speculation on social media, particularly from international accounts known for their transfer rumors, suggests that Chelsea’s leadership is already growing impatient with Liam Rosenior’s performance.

When checking these claims, it has been insisted that we should take no notice of such speculation, and that it is not the case. Rosenior was appointed two months ago. He signed a six-and-a-half-year contract. We are told he maintains a good relationship with those upstairs at Chelsea, as he did when managing Strasbourg.  Agents of players say the squad like Rosenior and are behind him.

When Rosenior takes his pre-Everton press conference at 1.30pm tomorrow at Cobham, I imagine he will stress how much they still have to fight for this season. Co-owners Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly were both at Stamford Bridge for the PSG clash on Tuesday. Boehly is not a regular attendee at matches, but he made sure to be there for that one.

What he witnessed was a disastrous night to end a disastrous week. There can be no denying that. The Champions League is where this club wants to be. It is a primary target, has been since the season started, and they are in the chase in the Premier League – just a point behind fifth-placed Liverpool with eight games to go.

What would happen with Rosenior this summer if Chelsea missed out on the Champions League? Not a clue. No point in pretending otherwise. That would be a question for answering if and when that were to happen, and obviously Rosenior and Chelsea hope it will not.

Liam Rosenior is coming under pressure - mostly from abroad - and that will only increase if he cannot get Chelsea back into the Champions League next season

Liam Rosenior is coming under pressure – mostly from abroad – and that will only increase if he cannot get Chelsea back into the Champions League next season

What’s happening with Enzo Fernandez?

Chelsea’s vice-captain Fernandez has dropped the odd hint that he is open to leaving the club this summer – from switching agencies (he joined The Elegant Game in December) to the interview he gave to ESPN Argentina on his future after losing to PSG on Tuesday (‘I don’t know – right now, I’m thinking about being here. We will see’).

But are Chelsea open to selling Fernandez? I haven’t heard that is the case as of yet, but then I haven’t heard he is one of their untouchables, either. We talk of player power now, but his contract still has six years to run and that gives Chelsea an awful lot of power, too.

Who could afford the 25-year-old Argentina midfielder? PSG? Real Madrid? There has been no formal approach from those supposed suitors.

Will Enzo Fernandez be waving goodbye to Chelsea after he defends Argentina's World Cup crown this summer?

Why wasn’t Estevao Willian used against PSG?

I actually wrote an article this morning on how team news leakage is nothing new, how often information swirls around on matchdays, and how reporters regularly do not use what we are told – for a range of reasons.

Just as Chelsea were kicking off their second leg against PSG, I received a message to say that it was unlikely Estevao Willian would be used, despite making the squad for the first time in a month.

From what I understand, the 18-year-old Brazilian was brought in late due to two forced dropouts, and was mainly there to be back with the group amid his recovery from his hamstring injury.

I didn’t use it at the time because, well, the game had gotten going, and how daft would I look if Chelsea brought him on for the final five minutes when leading 2-0? As it happened, the tie slipped away from Chelsea, and so he didn’t play a single minute as planned.

Estevao Willian was back in the Chelsea matchday squad for the first time in a month, but did not get off the bench against PSG

Why is Rosenior trying new tactics at this stage of the season? Wouldn’t it be best to leave it as it is?

I’m no tactico, but Rosenior has told us he would be mad to rip up the tactics that the players were used to. Hence why, for a while, he was deploying similar strategies to Enzo Maresca. That has included having his full back invert into the No 10 position.

Maybe now that Rosenior has had some time at Chelsea – and finally a week without a midweek match – he wanted to try introducing his own ideas. That has caused some confusion on the pitch, as was the case when Newcastle scored the game’s only goal in their Premier League win at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Rosenior told us: ‘It’s a new way of pressing. Mistakes happen. They had nothing, but we gave them a goal.’

If you haven’t seen it yet, I would recommend watching Jamie Carragher’s fascinating analysis of it on Monday Night Football.

How did they improve Marc Cucurella’s contract without signing a contract extension? Or has it been signed and not announced?

Every year, the FA publish the transactions completed by each club in one big file. When the 2025-26 edition is released, either at the end of this month or the beginning of the next, it should have ‘updated contract’ next to Marc Cucurella’s name.

The club have never announced the new deal. Why? I suspect that is because it did not add additional years to his stay but was rather a way of increasing his salary as a reward for his performances.

When Chelsea signed Cucurella for £60million from Brighton in 2022, it was announced that he had signed a six-year deal until 2028. I don’t have the full details of the make-up of that agreement, though it could be that it is five years plus the option of an additional year.

When Chelsea confirmed Rosenior’s arrival as head coach in January, for example, his deal was stated as lasting for six-and-a-half years in public, though it is five-and-a-half years plus a year in private.

Chelsea have not commented on Cucurella’s situation, but it could be that they triggered the additional year within his contract earlier than usual as a reward, as doing so tends to trigger an automatic bump in wages.

There are rumours around right now that Liverpool have triggered the one-year option within Alisson Becker’s deal, but the club have not announced it. We may be looking at something similar here with Chelsea and Cucurella.

Chelsea have yet to announce Marc Cucurella's updated contract, which he initially signed in 2022 when joining for £60m from Brighton

Is there any news about the board tweaking their strategy a little?

I haven’t heard so, though I do occasionally think back to Rosenior’s January unveiling when we asked him about Chelsea’s side being the youngest in Premier League history.

After he had mentioned the youth successfully used by Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United in his answer, it was pointed out to the new Blues boss that Fergie also had experienced players such as Roy Keane, Steve Bruce, Eric Cantona, Gary Pallister, et cetera.

To that, Rosenior said: ‘Yeah, and you’ll see in time what will happen here and the discussions we’ve had.’ Maybe he meant the youngsters they have would gain experience with time, but it did make me wonder.

However, as I say, I haven’t heard anything to suggest a change from the current strategy which has seen them prioritise potential. We will see what the noise is sounding like closer to the summer.

Chelsea's squad is the youngest in Premier League history - could we see a shift to more experience this summer?

What’s happening with the BlueCo protest?

I was at the last one staged outside of Stamford Bridge before Rosenior’s first Premier League game in charge versus Brentford in January. Estimates said there were between 100 and 200 people involved, though it was odd hearing Enzo Maresca’s name chanted more times than when he was actually manager.

We will have to see what the next one looks like, once a date has been scheduled, with the ‘notaprojectcfc’ protest group behind it having set a series of rules this time, such as no Spurs songs or chanting about former or current players and managers, so as to not muddy their ‘BlueCo / Clearlake Out’ messaging.

The day after Chelsea’s 5-2 loss at PSG last week, the group uploaded a blog revealing what was said at what was supposed to be a confidential meeting with a ‘club director’ in early February. I’ve had it verified that it was with Chelsea board member Lord (Daniel) Finkelstein.

They will have their own reasons for going public with that debate rather than keeping it private.

My main concerns with that approach are: A) I suspect they will struggle to get an audience with Chelsea again after breaking that trust, which is not ideal for a group fighting for their voices to be heard, and B) it may also make the club think twice when considering whether to meet others who would like that dialogue for themselves, which would be unfortunate if so. Just my two cents as an outsider.
