Indiana Implements New Visa and Language Requirements for Migrant Truck Drivers

0

Indiana authorities are taking steps to revoke commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) from immigrants who cannot present valid work visas, with these licenses scheduled to expire at midnight on Wednesday.

In an announcement shared on social media Tuesday, Indiana Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith outlined new requirements for non-citizen CDL applicants. Now, applicants must possess one of three approved work visas and demonstrate their proficiency in English.

This development follows recent footage from Fox News, where federal safety officials in Florida encountered truck drivers unable to read road signs or communicate in English effectively.

Reports from state troopers indicate that at some Florida weigh stations, as many as half of the truck drivers fail to meet the English proficiency standards.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has raised concerns about widespread fraud, suggesting that illegal immigrants are acquiring commercial driver’s licenses, potentially leading to safety hazards. This highlights the importance of enforcing stricter regulations to ensure public safety on the roads.

In addition to the new visa requirements, Beckwith said any employers who “knowingly hire illegal drivers” without a valid CDL will face a $50,000 fine.

“This is a great first step in making our streets safer for Hoosiers,” Beckwith wrote in the statement. “Now it’s our duty to enforce these new laws and prevent any more senseless deaths.”

Deadly crashes have been reported nationwide involving drivers the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed were in the U.S. illegally or operating with CDLs they should never have had.

In February, an illegal immigrant truck driver from India allegedly ran a red light, causing a fatal crash in Hendricks County, Indiana.

Singh Sukhdeep received his commercial driver’s license in May 2025, despite being caught and released after crossing the U.S. border illegally in 2018.

In a Florida case, Harjinder Singh, an illegal immigrant from India, was charged after a tractor-trailer crash left three people dead.

The tractor-trailer, driven by Singh, allegedly made an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike through an “Official Use Only” access point in St. Lucie County, blocking all lanes of the highway and leading to the crash.

His brother, Harneet Singh, 25, also an illegal immigrant from India, was riding as a passenger at the time of the crash.

Harjinder Singh, who allegedly entered the U.S. illegally and obtained a CDL in California, is facing three counts of vehicular homicide, according to officials.

Kyle’s Controversial Actions Towards Amanda: West Demands Apology in Heated Confrontation

For fans of Summer House eagerly dissecting the latest episode for any hints about Amanda and West’s “relationship,” here’s the recap you’ve been waiting for. In light of the recent joint statement from West and Amanda, it might be time for Kyle to consider returning that Cartier watch. Many conversations this episode seem to age poorly, but ultimately, it becomes clear why West is such a staunch supporter of Amanda.

Summer House Recap: West Calls Out Kyle Over His Behavior Toward Amanda, Forcing Him to Apologize; Kyle Admits to Loverboy Financial Woes as Carl Seeks Investors; Plus, Dara Confronts Bailey

Kyle’s senior-home themed party not only showcases some of the best costumes but also some impressive dance moves. Amid the revelry, Carl and Kyle take a breather to discuss the past eight months. Kyle confesses he’s been somewhat distracted, prompting Carl to express his disappointment that Kyle isn’t investing in his venture, Soft Bar. Kyle then reveals that Lover Boy is facing serious financial woes, with a $175,000 loss last month, and is on the brink of bankruptcy unless a new investor is found. This revelation makes Carl realize the gravity of the situation, especially since Amanda is unaware of the company’s dire straits.

Meanwhile, Lindsay is seen flirting with Jesse, but her quest for a sugar baby doesn’t lead to much. Given her track record, it seems she’s more interested in finding financial security with a man rather than love.

Dara shares her grievances about the house, pointing out that her only issues are with people absent from the party, subtly referencing Bailey. She insists she’s not engaging in any shady behavior behind KJ’s back and plans to have a conversation with Bailey to resolve any misunderstandings.

Dara explains that the only negative thing she has to say about the house involves people who are not currently at the party (cough, cough Bailey!).  She is, in fact, not doing shady things behind KJ’s back, and so she plans on talking to Bailey to clear things up.

Speaking of Bailey, Carl misses her this weekend, especially after his icky conversation with Kyle, who always tries to control the situation by becoming the victim. Bailey is trying her hand at Carl and describes him as a teddy bear, but since her last horrible relationship, she’s a little nervous.’

Ciara worries about Amanda after Kyle’s nasty comments the night before.  Ciara tells Lindsay and Mia that Amanda feels like everyone’s talking about her.  Welp,  that comment didn’t age well. Ciara goes on to explain Lover Boy’s financial issues with Lindsay and Mia.  The girls seem shocked to find out Kyle is personally on the line for $4 million.  However, Ciara only cares about Kyle being a good husband to Amanda…like a GOOD FRIEND would be. Le sigh.

Ben keeps thinking about the last person he dated, Sabrina. He wishes she was there instead of being stuck flitting around with these other ladies…

West talks about the layers and depth of Kyle and Amanda’s relationship.  He tells Kyle that he cannot get stuff off his chest by being so mean to Amanda. Kyle is still yet to apologize to Amanda for the way he spoke to her, but he DOES apologize to Jesse and West.  Kyle shares that he is falling apart and gets upset when Amanda has fun with everyone else but him. West claims to “have Kyle’s back,” but, alas, here we are. Kyle wishes that while the guys are “flirting and playing games” with Amanda, they would also remind her to give her “husband a little attention.”

Ciara lets Amanda know that Lover Boy only has three months of payroll left.  Amanda refers to Kyle as an entrepreneur and explains she didn’t question the loan he took out. They do not have a prenup and they have separate bank accounts, but Amanda does realize that this is not good. On top of the financial sh*t, Mia and Ciara beg Amanda to stop letting Kyle talk to her the way he does.

Ciara points out that her parents are divorced because of the same way Kyle speaks to Amanda. Lindsay suggests that Amanda let Kyle see what life is like without her.  Ciara states that Amanda deserves to be taken care of and if she wants to leave Kyle for a bit, they are there for her. This is like watching a car crash in slow motion.

Kyle gets to DJing, his specialty, and Jesse lets Amanda know that West told Kyle off and made him apologize. Some of the group head out into the Hamptons nightlife, while the others stay home.  Kyle bemoans to Amanda that he wishes she loved him and admits that their marriage is in trouble.  Eventually, he drunkenly apologizes to Amanda. This whole situation worries Carl who shares that Kyle never faced a big thing in his life and now everything is coming to a head.

The next morning, Dara and KJ are whipping up some breakfast for the crew rocking matching aprons. Over food, they talk about the upcoming week. Ben asks if he can bring a plus one for Lindsay’s housewarming (hope Sabrina says yes!) and Ciara is heading to North Carolina.  She bought her grandparents’ house (that her grandfather built) and she is planning to renovate it and keep it in her family. Ciara gets emotional when Mia congratulates her on this huge news to honor her familial legacy.

West is not sure how to congratulate Ciara, but he, too, is proud. So, West can call Kyle out for his behavior, but is suddenly shy to congratulate Ciara? Interesting…

Before they head back to the city, Kyle asks Amanda for a hug.  She is still unsure why Kyle waited so long to apologize.  Kyle claims he “needs time to figure out why” he said what he said to her, after all, “a drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts.”

Kyle doesn’t feel like Amanda wants to be with him, but Amanda explains that the way he speaks to her and the things he says to her leaves her feeling disrespected. They both admit that their relationship is in big trouble, but Kyle wonders why they are not putting in the work to fix it.

They are back to the grind in the big city and Lindsay prepares for her housewarming party. She talks about transitioning her life to this apartment and shows off all of the things, right down to a pianist playing smooth tunes for her guests. Carl comes bearing gifts for the housewarming AND for Gemma, Lindsay’s baby. Truthfully, he is just happy to be invited!

When Bailey enters, Dara takes a moment to talk to her about running her mouth.  Dara confronts Bailey for spreading false statements about being alone in Ben’s room for an hour. Bailey admits she was wrong, despite video footage, but something tells me this is not over…

Master the Upper Seal in Sailor Piece: Step-by-Step Guide to Unlocking and Utilizing This Powerful Tool

In the Sailor Piece Moon Update, the Upper Seal stands out as a crucial item for players eager to explore new content. This Legendary-rarity material is essential for summoning the formidable Moon Slayer boss and unlocking the highly coveted Moon Slayer combat style. Unlike other summoning items like the Abyss Sigil and Chrysalis Sigil, the Upper Seal has a significantly lower drop rate.

Here’s how you can get your hands on Upper Seals in Sailor Piece.

All methods to get the Upper Seal in Sailor Piece

The Upper Seal can be found by defeating mobs across various islands, such as Shinjuku Island, Lawless Island, and Ninja Island. According to the game’s developer on their Discord channel, the drop rate is unspecified but is notably rarer than other boss-summoning items.

Players will have a better chance of obtaining Upper Seals from higher-level enemies. Repeatedly taking down Quincys in Soul Dominion (Level 10750), Arena Fighters on Lawless Island (Level 12000), and Ninjas on Ninja Island (Level 11500) can increase your chances of acquiring these materials. Employ Observation Haki to evade attacks and Armament Haki to enhance your damage output during these battles.

Notably, enemies of a higher level have a better chance of dropping Upper Seals. You can defeat Quincys in Soul Dominion (Level 10750), Arena Fighters in Lawless Island (Level 12000), and Ninjas in Ninja Island (Level 11500) repeatedly to gain the materials. Use Observation Haki to dodge the attacks of these mobs and Armament Haki for boosted damage.

Although any sword or style can be utilized to kill the mobs, the best ones are Atomic and Strongest Shinobi. Both have strong AoE skills and also deal heavy damage with their basic strikes.

Apart from farming high-level mobs, it is possible to acquire Upper Seals by trading. Click the purple Trade icon on the left side of the screen, select the player who wants to exchange the seals, and initiate the deal in the trade menu. You may need to give Legendary items or rerolls in order to get the Upper Seals.

Upper Seal is used to summon the Moon Slayer boss on Boss Island. To use this item, speak to the Boss Summoner NPC standing parallel to the Main Spawn crystal. If you possess an Upper Seal, 700,000 Money, and 700 Gems, hit the spawn button to make the Moon Slayer boss appear in the arena.

Upper Seals, alongside other items, are also required to unlock the Moon Slayer style. Teleport to Boss Island and head to the opposite end of the island to speak with the NPC that looks like Kokushibo from Demon Slayer anime. Give him the following items to unlock the new style:

  • “Six Eyed Demon” Title
  • 1x Moon Crest
  • 4x Crescent Shard
  • 9x Lunar Essence
  • 16x Demon Remnant
  • 25x Upper Seal
  • 37,500 Gems

Demon Remnant, Lunar Essence, Crescent Shard, and Moon Crest are items dropped by the Moon Slayer boss.

Additionally, the new item is needed to craft the F move of the Moon Slayer style. You will need 85 Upper Seals, alongside other items, to unlock the style’s ultimate from the Moon Slayer Mastery NPC on Boss Island.
