0

A Colombian mayor has reported the discovery of a body believed to be that of a missing American. The individual is suspected to be a 32-year-old flight attendant from Texas, Eric Fernando Gutierrez Molina, who worked for American Airlines and had recently vanished while in Colombia.

“Since last Sunday, efforts have been underway to locate Eric Gutiérrez, a missing U.S. national,” stated Medellín’s Mayor Federico Gutiérrez in a Friday post on X, translated from Spanish.

During a press conference on December 19, 2025, held by Mayor Federico Gutierrez in Medellín, he shared, “Tragically, a deceased individual has been discovered in the area between Jericó and Puente Iglesias.”

Montana Senate Hopeful Pledges New Draft Legislation Targeting Graham if Elected

0

A Libertarian candidate with slim odds of winning a Senate seat in Montana has made headlines by vowing to propose a bill that would enlist Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) into military service should he secure a victory.

Tom Jandron, the candidate in question, declared his intentions on Wednesday via a post on the social media platform X, stating, “I’m running for US Senate. If elected, the first bill I introduce will draft Lindsey Graham into any conflict he publicly supports while in office.”

Jandron’s campaign website notes that he is a retired member of the Montana National Guard and has served in Afghanistan, underscoring his military background.

His pledge comes as a response to Graham’s vocal support for the Trump administration’s continued military engagements with Iran, positioning Jandron as a critic of Graham’s hawkish stance.

Jandron is a retired member of the Montana National Guard and a veteran who served in Afghanistan, according to his campaign website.

His criticism of Graham follows the war hawk’s outspoken support for the Trump administration’s continuing military operations against Iran.

The U.S. and Israel launched joint strikes on the Middle Eastern country at the end of February, following failed nuclear deal negotiations.

Graham has encouraged the White House to “take” Kharg Island, a major oil export hub off the coast of Iran.

GOP Rep. Nancy Mace (S.C.) slammed Graham for his support for these military operations, calling him “Washington’s war machine.”

The senator has recently taken a softer tone amid ongoing peace deal negotiations between the U.S. and Tehran. President Trump said Thursday he would temporarily pause strikes on the country’s energy infrastructure while Iranian officials review a 15-point plan to end the conflict.

Graham expressed his hope on Thursday that the U.S. can secure agreements from Iran to limit its ballistic missile program, cut its ties with terrorist groups and cease developments of nuclear weapons.

“If diplomacy can achieve these objectives, I would not only support it, but I would also prefer it because war literally is hell,” the senator wrote on the social platform X.

Jandron is running to replace Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) after Daines announced he was retiring merely three minutes before the filing deadline in early March. Daines endorsed Kurt Alme, the Republican U.S. attorney for the District of Montana, in the race.

Two candidates are challenging Alme in the Republican race, and five candidates are running for the Democratic spot in the midterm election. Jandron is one of two libertarians in the race and will participate in the state’s primary election on June 2.

Tragic Loss: Israeli Airstrike in Lebanon Claims Lives of Renowned Journalists Ali Shoeib and Fatima Ftouni

0

BEIRUT — An Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Saturday tragically claimed the lives of three journalists who were reporting on the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, according to statements from their respective television networks.

Al-Manar TV, an outlet associated with Hezbollah, announced the death of Ali Shoeib, a veteran correspondent, during the airstrike in the region. The Israeli military claimed that Shoeib was a Hezbollah intelligence officer, although they did not provide any supporting evidence for this assertion.

In a related development, Al-Mayadeen TV, a Beirut-based pan-Arab broadcaster, reported the deaths of their reporter Fatima Ftouni and her brother Mohammed, a video journalist. The siblings were killed in the same airstrike in the Jezzine district. Fatima had been delivering a live report from southern Lebanon moments before the attack.

The incident has drawn sharp criticism from Lebanese officials, with President Joseph Aoun denouncing the airstrike as a “flagrant crime” and emphasizing that it contravenes international laws and agreements designed to safeguard journalists.

Top officials in Lebanon condemned the strike, with President Joseph Aoun calling it a “flagrant crime that violates all laws and agreements that protect journalists.”

Al-Manar said in a report that an Israeli airstrike targeted journalists, leading to the “martyrdom of the icon of resistance media.” A well-known Lebanese war correspondent, Shoeib had covered south Lebanon for Al-Manar for nearly three decades.

The Israeli army claimed that Shoeib was “operating systematically to expose the locations of (Israeli) soldiers operating in southern Lebanon.” The army also accused him of maintaining contact with Hezbollah militants and inciting against Israeli troops and civilians, without elaborating.

Al-Manar TV did not respond to the Israeli allegations but described its correspondent as “distinguished by his professional and credible reporting of events.”

Israel’s claim mirrored past Israeli military allegations against Palestinian journalists that it targeted in its war on Hamas the Gaza Strip, accusing them of being Hamas militants posing as reporters.

The Israeli military did not mention the two others who died in its statement.

Since the last Israel-Hezbollah war began on March 2, Israel’s air force has struck Hezbollah’s civilian targets, including the headquarters of Al-Manar and the group’s Al-Nour radio station.

Saturday’s strike came days after an Israeli airstrike on an apartment in central Beirut killed Mohammed Sherri, the head of political programs at Al-Manar TV, along with his wife.

The latest deaths bring the number of journalists and media workers killed this year in Lebanon to five.

The Committee to Protect Journalists said that freelance photojournalist Hussain Hamood, who used to collaborate with Al-Manar TV, was also killed Wednesday in the southern city of Nabatiyeh.

Maude Apatow’s Directorial Debut Stumbles: Financial Hurdles Challenge Star-Studded Project Featuring Notable Nepo Babies

0

This year was set to be particularly thrilling for Maude Apatow, a notable figure in the realm of “nepo babies.”

At 28, the actress is a key player in the eagerly awaited third season of *Euphoria*. In addition, she was on track to make her directorial entrance with the film *Poetic License* slated for release in May.

Maude, the daughter of actress Leslie Mann and acclaimed filmmaker Judd Apatow, took the helm of her debut film, casting her mother in the lead role.

Leslie Mann, now 54, steps into the shoes of Liz, a former therapist on the brink of having an empty nest, who unexpectedly becomes the centerpiece of drama between two inseparable friends vying for her attention.

The film’s ensemble is a veritable showcase of Hollywood’s next generation, with at least half of the cast linked to famous relatives.

But things haven’t gone exactly according to plan as this week it was reported that the indie film distributor Row K who picked up the movie are money-strapped.

No less than half the cast of Poetic License boast celebrity relatives (L-R, Andrew Barth Feldman, Dustin Hoffman’s son Cooper and Maude’s mother Leslie in the movie)

Deadline has reported that off the back of this Maude is now looking for a new distributor for the project as Row K is no longer able to ‘fulfill its legal obligations on the film’s acquisition’.

The publication has previously claimed the movie was picked up for around $7million but now that money is nowhere to be seen.

It was meant to be released in May, hot on the heels of Euphoria’s April release, but it has since been pushed back to October.

The trouble comes in the wake of another of its projects – Dead Man’s Wire starring Bill Skarsgård and Al Pacino – having a disappointing $2.2million take at the domestic box office.

Row K are thought to have spent $5million on North American rights and another $5million on marketing ahead of the Oscars.

Row K principals Christopher Woodrow and Raj Singh said on Friday: ‘Row K’s release of Dead Man’s Wire has provided an important opportunity to evaluate and refine our strategy as a new entrant building in a highly competitive marketplace.

‘Like many early-stage companies, we moved quickly to establish a slate and are now taking a more measured, disciplined approach – prioritizing commercially viable titles, strengthening our internal infrastructure, and aligning our team accordingly.’

Row K only launched eight months ago but Variety reports that there have been problems with unpaid bills and financial concerns.

Multiple sources told them that ‘cash flow has been an increasingly urgent issue’ and claimed that vendors and consultants ‘haven’t been paid for months’ which has caused much of their work to be halted.

Maude has embraced nepotism with her upcoming project, casting several stars who have had a leg up in the industry owing to their famous backgrounds.

Maude – who began acting at the age of seven with a role in her father’s comedy film The 40-Year-Old Virgin – is set to make her directorial debut with the film.

She unwittingly found herself at the centre of the nepo baby discourse in 2022 when a X/Twitter user expressed her shock at learning the Euphoria star had two famous parents.

The viral tweet prompted a raft of fans to share other examples of nepo babies in the industry, with New York magazine going as far as to call 2022 ‘The Year of the Nepo Baby’.

Maude was among a slew of celebrities who have famous parents to feature on the magazine’s front cover, which quipped: ‘She Has Her Mother’s Eyes. And Agent.’

The actress has previously confessed she was ‘sad’ to see the backlash, telling Net-a-Porter: ‘At first it was sad. I try not to let it get to me because I obviously understand that I’m in such a lucky position.

‘A lot of people [in a similar position] have proven themselves over the years, so I’ve got to keep going and make good work.’

Notably, Maude landed her first film roles as a direct result of her father – featuring in his movies Knocked Up (2007), Funny People (2009), and This Is 40 (2012) during her childhood.

The films also starred her mother Leslie and sister Iris.

Maude went on to star in Euphoria, while Iris appeared on the Netflix series Love.

Last year, Maude teamed up with director Olivia Rosenbloom to launch Jewel Productions, a film and television production company.

The pair’s first film in the works is the aforementioned Poetic License, but they already have plans to create another two movies.

Jon Bon Jovi's son Jake

Nico Parker - the daughter of Thandiwe Newton and Ol Parker

Poetic License will star Cooper Hoffman – the son of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Nico Parker (right) – the daughter of Thandiwe Newton and Ol Parker, Jon Bon Jovi’s son Jake (left) and Maisy Stella – the daughter of MaryLynne and Brad Stella

Discussing the venture, the pair shared: ‘We have both always been drawn to flawed and complicated characters and using comedy as a tool to tell their stories.

‘We are so excited to launch Jewelbox and hope it can be a home for artists with distinct voices and perspectives to develop compelling original ideas.’

Poetic License will star Cooper Hoffman – the son of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Nico Parker – the daughter of Thandiwe Newton and Ol Parker, Jon Bon Jovi’s son Jake and Maisy Stella – the daughter of MaryLynne and Brad Stella.

Poetic License running into money troubles at Row K comes as Hollywood turns its back on indie movies.

The rise of streaming has massively impacted how people consume their film content – with many films now going straight to platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

2025 saw a sea of films like After the Hunt, The Smashing Machine, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere and Christy flop at the box office.

In addition A24’s Marty Supreme failed to scoop any Oscars at this year’s ceremony.

It remains to be seen who will pick up Maude’s directorial debut project – but for now the nepo babies will have to wait a little bit longer before they see themselves on the big screen again.

Retired Sergeant Faces Sixth Sexual Assault Charge Involving 14-Year-Old Victim

0

A former Michigan police sergeant, now retired, is facing a new legal battle as he is accused of a sixth sexual assault, allegedly involving a 14-year-old girl in 2002.

Benjamin Wagner, 68, who currently resides in North Carolina, is allegedly connected to a series of abductions and sexual assaults that occurred on Detroit’s west side from 1999 to 2003. These incidents reportedly targeted young women aged between 14 and 23, as reported by Click On Detroit.

The latest charges against Wagner are linked to an event that took place on October 15, 2002. Prosecutors claim Wagner intercepted a 14-year-old girl on her way to a bus stop on Trinity Street, near Outer Drive, as she was heading to school.

Investigators allege that Wagner, wielding a firearm, coerced the girl into a remote location where he committed the assault.

The victim, now 37, sees these charges as the start of a long-awaited journey towards justice.

“She has lived with what happened to her for 23 years,” noted Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, praising the survivor’s courage in choosing to hold her attacker accountable.

Investigators have identified a consistent and predatory “double life” led by Wagner during his time with the Detroit Police Department.

The six cases currently on file reveal many commonalities and were all within a 5.5-mile radius of Wagner’s former residence on Bentler Street.

In this latest case, Wagner faces several high-level felony charges, including Kidnapping, First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct (2 counts) and Third-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct (2 counts).

While the prosecution builds its case around these decades-old kits and survivor testimonies, Wagner’s defense attorney maintains that his client has no prior criminal record and emphasizes that these remain unproven allegations.

The timeline below of Wagner’s alleged sexual assaults started in 1999:

  • November 10, 1999: Wagner reportedly pointed a gun at a 17-year-old woman before he sexually assaulted her. The victim was steered away from the Chalfonte and Mark Twain area as she walked home from work.
  • January 31, 2000: A 23-year-old woman had a gun reportedly held to her head by Wagner and was ordered away from the area of the 18400 block of Wyoming, and was then sexually assaulted.
  • September 28, 2000: Wagner allegedly pointed a gun at the face of a 15-year-old girl in the 19800 block of Florence. He is said to have grabbed the victim as she walked to a school bus and sexually assaulted her.
  • November 19, 2000: A 20-year-old woman was attacked from behind as she walked to a friend’s home in the 8500 block of West McNichols. Wagner is accused of having gun to the victim’s back and sexually assaulting her after forcing her to a different location.
  • October 15, 2002: Wagner’s sixth and newest charge emerged for a 14-year-old girl.
  • April 15, 2003: A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted, reportedly by Wagner after he emerged from an alley and kidnapped her in the 19000 block of Ferguson and took her to a different location.

Judge Shawn Jacque is set to preside over a probable cause conference on April 7, followed by subsequent court appearances on April 14, according to Click On Detroit.

Man Arrested for Murder After Burned Remains Found on Property Following Cremation Discussion

0

Joseph Taylor (Butte County District Attorney”s Office).

In a chilling discovery, a California man’s property has become the center of a grisly investigation, resulting in his arrest after authorities uncovered a burned human skull and other remains. This unsettling find has led to the arrest of 52-year-old Joseph Dexter Taylor, who now faces multiple charges, including murder, illegal firearm possession, carrying a concealed weapon, and arson, as reported by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.

The tragic events unfolded at a residence on Ricky Road in the quiet, rural area of Hurleton, located east of Oroville. This small city lies approximately 70 miles north of Sacramento. The victim, believed to be 33-year-old Chris Kidwell, lost his life under these disturbing circumstances.

The breakthrough in the case came on March 21, when two individuals dialed 911, alarmed by what they suspected were human remains—specifically a skull—found at the aforementioned residence. This prompted an investigation, as detailed in a press release from the Butte County District Attorney’s Office.

According to the release, an unsettling visit occurred early on March 20, when Taylor showed up at their home, agitated and speaking erratically about a cremation. The visitors also noticed that Taylor bore burn marks on his legs, a detail that now holds significant weight in the ongoing investigation.

“The two men said Taylor arrived at their home in the early morning hours of March 20, appearing agitated and talking about a cremation,” the press release reads. “They noted that Taylor had burn marks on his legs.”

The defendant was charged later that same day, according to the sheriff’s office.

Evidence from the ensuing investigation led law enforcement to believe the remains belonged to Kidwell, a man who had been living on Taylor’s property since sometime in late 2025, according to Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey.

A confirmation of the identification is forthcoming, authorities said, pending a DNA analysis. Kidwell’s family previously contacted the sheriff’s office on March 20, after unsuccessfully attempting to contact him for about a week, according to the DA’s office.

“Evidence from the investigation indicates Kidwell was shot before Taylor burned his body,” the DA’s press release goes on.

The sheriff’s office took stock of the investigation in their own press release, relaying the order of events after the 911 call.

“Deputies responded to the location and confirmed the presence of the remains,” the press release reads. “Detectives obtained a search warrant for two parcels on Ricky Road and recovered the human remains along with additional evidence related to the investigation.”

The sheriff’s office goes on to say their investigation was “extensive” and uncovered evidence “leading them to believe” the defendant was responsible for the victim’s murder.

“Taylor was already in custody at the Butte County Jail on an unrelated felony arrest warrant,” the sheriff’s office press release goes on. The DA’s office said that prior warrant was related to a firearm offense.

The investigation is said to be ongoing.

The defendant is currently being detained on a no-bail hold and also has pending arson cases in Lake County, the DA’s office said.

Taylor appeared in court on March 26, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges. He is next slated to appear in court on April 2.

Discover the Bizarre Fridge Habit That’s Sparking Outrage: Why Thousands Are Shocked by This Boyfriend’s Unusual Stocking Strategy

0

A man who claims his kitchen could rival a grocery store found himself puzzled when his girlfriend remarked that there was “never anything to eat” at his place.

This tech professional, living solo, showcased his kitchen setup through photos, revealing a food storage system that could be mistaken for commercial-grade meal prep.

In his freezer, he boasts an impressive stash: over 40 pounds (18.1 kg) of various ground meats, more than 35 pounds (15.8 kg) of ribeye, 14 pounds (6.3 kg) of American wagyu ribeye, 15 pounds (6.8 kg) of New Zealand lamb shoulder chops, and neatly portioned seafood, all expertly vacuum-sealed and organized.

His refrigerator is where things get particularly intriguing.

Stocked within are no less than 12 jars of jam, approximately 15 protein drinks, apples, eggs, crab meat, carrots, zucchini, six cans of sparkling water, 14 blocks of cream cheese, a variety of cheeses including parmesan and Kraft slices, and an array of sauces.

And that is before you even open the pantry, which he says contains 2kg tubs of peanut butter, every type of nut imaginable, nearly 15 varieties of cereal, every kind of pasta, and multiple loaves of bread and bagels.

So why is his girlfriend still ‘hungry’?

It is simple – the man doesn’t have enough ‘snacks’ that don’t need to be prepared.

A man who insists his kitchen is 'basically a grocery store' has been left scratching his head after his girlfriend claimed there was 'never anything to eat' at his house

The jam section in particular caused a thousand eyebrows to raise.

The boyfriend revealed he bought the extensive jam collection specifically for his girlfriend, who loves St Dalfour and enjoys it in the morning when she stays over.

‘She loves it so I bought every flavour they had. I’ve never even tried it,’ he admitted.

Not everyone was impressed.

‘Love jam. Love variety. I limit myself to two kinds at a time to avoid throwing out a half-empty, mouldy jar every few months. This looked wasteful to me unless he’s going through an exorbitant amount of jam,’ one commenter wrote.

‘It’s an objectively large amount of jam. Do you spread it on your steaks too?’ another asked sarcastically.

Others questioned whether the fridge was less about nourishment and more about aesthetics.

‘Are you just trying to make your fridge look fuller?’ one asked.

‘Your fridge is performative,’ another added.

If the jam was excessive, the cream cheese was baffling.

By most counts, there were around 14 packages of cream cheese and at least seven packs of Kerrygold butter visible.

‘I am baffled by the volume of cream cheese – and really all the cheese. Unless there’s a family of six here, I can’t see how anyone would eat this much butter and cream cheese before it goes bad,’ one person commented.

The boyfriend explained he makes bagels five times a week and enjoys baking cheesecake occasionally – hence the dairy surplus.

Beyond the spectacle of the fridge itself lies a more relatable tension.

His girlfriend visits four or more times a week, often arriving around 7pm after work. Both enjoy cooking, but both work long hours – sometimes from 6am until midnight.

In other words, it may not be about quantity, but convenience of preparation.

Despite the online criticism, the boyfriend insists the food will not go to waste

‘She means snacks. We need to graze!’ one commenter suggested.

Another summed it up from a lifestyle perspective.

‘I’m hungry right now. It looks like the only things I can have in less than five minutes are carrot sticks, apples, or Greek yoghurt and jam. I’m good with that, but she wants more no-effort snacks.’

The fridge is full – but it requires effort. Meat needs thawing, pasta needs boiling, vegetables need chopping. Even bagels need toasting and schmearing.

After a long workday full of decision fatigue, what people want is not a wagyu ribeye but two-minute noodles or a packet of chips.

‘I would like to introduce you to something many a woman in my life has been a fan of: carbohydrates,’ a man wrote.

Despite the online criticism, the boyfriend insists the food will not go to waste.

He receives grocery stipends from work, had gift cards to spend, and shares generously with his nearby family.

Still, the internet remains fascinated by the image of 12 pristine jars of jam and a battalion of cream cheese blocks.

French Authorities Successfully Prevent Potential Paris Bomb Plot

0
French police have thwarted a suspected bomb attack outside a Bank of America building in Paris, authorities said.

Authorities apprehended one individual while another managed to flee.

The national anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office, or PNAT, told The Associated Press that it has opened an investigation into alleged terrorism-related offences.

The charges under investigation include attempted arson or using hazardous methods, crafting incendiary or explosive devices, possessing and transporting such devices with the intent to cause significant damage, and participation in a terrorist organization.

A suspect is currently in police custody.

“Kudos to the swift response of a unit from the Paris police prefecture, which successfully prevented a potentially violent terrorist act last night in Paris,” stated Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez.

“Our vigilance remains extremely heightened,” Nuñez added.

“I commend all security and intelligence forces, fully mobilised under my authority in the current international context.”

RTL radio, citing police sources, reported that the incident took place early Saturday (Paris time) when police officers spotted two suspects carrying a shopping bag near the premises of the Bank of America in the 8th arrondissement of the French capital.

One of the suspects, holding a lighter, was attempting to ignite a device, RTL said, while the second suspect managed to escape.

The Paris police prefecture declined to comment.

Since the Iran war broke out, French authorities have increased personal protection of some figures from the Iranian opposition and stepped up security around sites that could be a target, including sites linked to US interests and to the Jewish community, Nuñez said earlier this week.

Inside Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ Adorable Photo Moments: A Peek Into Their Love Story

Blake Lively recently delighted fans by posting some affectionate photos from her London getaway with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, after the duo made a stop in Wales to support his team, Wrexham.

The celebrity couple jetted to the UK earlier this month to witness Wrexham face off against Premier League giants Chelsea in the FA Cup’s fifth round, held in the Welsh northeast.

While in the UK, Blake and Ryan took the opportunity to enjoy London, with Blake sharing a collection of photos capturing their experiences in the city.

The pair roamed around London and paused for a coffee date at a charming cafe with red stone walls, adding a touch of romance to their adventure.

Blake also showcased her holiday fashion, snapping a mirror selfie on UK Mother’s Day. She was dressed in a chic black and white gingham shirt dress, layered with a stylish two-tone knitted cardigan, and accessorized with an array of bold jewelry.

During her trip to London, Great British Bake Off super fan Blake also shared a photo from a catch up with former host Prue Leith.

‘Thank you @wrexham_afc and all the players and everyone who works at that stadium for the performance of a lifetime. ♥️The greatest 10,000 people to share an emotional roller coaster with is in Wrexham.

‘*shout out to everyone (like my sweet sister in slide 10) who thinks someone is taking a photo of their cute outfit, when it’s really a video.’

Despite Wrexham, which Ryan notably owns with fellow actor Rob McElhenney, being eliminated from the FA Cup, the pair looked happier than ever as they watched from a private suite at the Racecourse Ground earlier this month.

Blake and Ryan stepped onto the field after the game to pose for a sweet photo after the Deadpool star had made his debut as a football commentator on Sky Sports during the match.

Elsewhere during their trip to the Welsh countryside, the Gossip Girl star and the Red Notice actor enjoyed a date to an Owl Sanctuary where they held the nocturnal birds of prey.

Blake looked stylish as she wrapped up in a khaki long waterproof jacket which she teamed with a matching winter hat, a brown suede shirt, checked trousers and tan shoes.

Meanwhile Ryan cut a smart figure in a beige jumper which he layered under a navy coat and trousers as he held a large owl.

The pair cosied up for a loved-up selfie as they beamed into each other’s eyes during the outing.

Ryan captioned the post: ‘What a week.’

It comes just two months before Blake is set to go to trial for her lawsuit against Justin in May in New York City.

The actress filed a lawsuit in December 2024 where she accused Justin of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign against her. The pair had previously starred in the 2024 film It Ends With Us, which Justin also directed.

Justin responded with a $400 million lawsuit against the actress as well as filing a $250 million libel claim against the New York Times which reported on Lively’s allegations. The case was later dismissed by a judge in June of last year.

Last month in February, Blake and Justin attended a settlement hearing in NYC – but the actress abruptly left following six hours of negotiations.

She made her way out of the courtroom while also accompanied by her lawyer Michael Gottleb at the time.

Just minutes later, Justin also exited the courthouse and was joined by his wife Emily for support.

His attorney Bryan Freedman had been asked if settlement conversations could resume and he simply replied, ‘I don’t know that he will.’

A previous settlement conference had taken place on January 22, but neither Blake or Justin attended.

Guitarist Perry Bamonte Bequeaths Multi-Million Dollar Estate to Widow

Perry Bamonte, renowned guitarist of The Cure, bequeathed a substantial seven-figure inheritance to his widow upon his passing at 65 years old.

The talented musician succumbed to a brief illness, departing this life on Christmas Eve the previous year.

Bamonte’s entire estate and personal belongings were entrusted to his wife, Donna Bamonte, whom he married in 2009.

Donna was named the executor of his will, inheriting a substantial sum of £1.4 million.

Residing together in Crediton, near Exeter, Devon, Perry and Donna had no children.

The gross value of his estate was £1.9m, but about half a million was deducted.

His grant of probate document reads: ‘The last will and testament of Perry Archangelo Bamonte was proved and registered before the High Court of Justice.

‘The application has stated that the gross value of the estate in the United Kingdom amounts to £1,983,419 and the net value amounts to £1,444,123.’

Perry – born on September 3, 1960 – wrote his will on May 22, 2024.

It reads: ‘I give all my personal chattels not otherwise specifically gifted by my will or any codicil free of inheritance tax to Donna absolutely.

‘My trustees shall hold by residuary estate and the income thereof upon trust for Donna absolutely.’

Perry – who also played the keyboard – performed over 400 shows for The Cure over 14 years.

After his music career he was a keen fly-fisherman and also drawing.

Perry and Donna rehabilitated and retrained racehorses and ran a ‘retirement home’ for them.

Police investigated his passing after receiving a report from a family member who had been ‘alarmed at something he was told’.

But Donna believed the investigation was ‘bulls***’ and asserted that he ‘died of terminal bowel cancer, nothing more’.

She revealed he was diagnosed with the deadly disease in 2020 and was given the all clear a year later.

However, she explained it returned in 2024 and was diagnosed as terminal prior to Mr Bamonte’s death in December.

‘His doctors can confirm he was first diagnosed in 2020 and had the all-clear in 2021, but there was a recurrence in 2024,’ she told The Sun.

‘I have had no contact with the police since his death. This is all complete and utter nonsense.’

The Cure’s official website confirmed the news that the musician passed away over Christmas following a short illness.

In a statement, they said: ‘It is with enormous sadness that we confirm the death of our great friend and bandmate Perry Bamonte who passed away after a short illness at home over Christmas.

‘Quiet, intense, intuitive, constant and hugely creative’, “Teddy” was a warm hearted and vital part of the cure story. “Looking after the band” from 1984 through 1989, he became a full time member of The Cure in 1990, playing guitar, six string bass and keyboard on the Wish, Wild Mood Swings, Bloodflowers, Acoustic Hits and The Cure albums, as well as performing more than 400 shows over 14 years.

‘He rejoined The Cure in 2022, playing another 90 shows, some of the best in the band’s history, culminating with the show of a lost world concert in London 1st November 2024.

Perry was one of five siblings and grew up in Basildon, Essex.
