On Thursday morning in Crawford County town, a car crashed with a tractor-trailer, killing two people of Venango County and injuring a third.

Jay A. Scott, 62, and Tracy R. Kope, 49, both of Cooperstown, were named as the deceased by Crawford County Coroner Scott Schell on Thursday in the late afternoon. At the scene of the collision, which occurred on Route 322 at Ridgeway Hill Road in Cochranton, they were both declared dead.

Crawford County 911 stated that the collision was reported on Thursday at 8:52 a.m.

According to Schell, a tractor-trailer drove off from Ridgeway Hill Road and struck the car’s trailer while it was heading west on Route 322, being driven by Kope and carrying Scott and another person.
