Chiang received his secondary education at Queen’s College, Hong Kong, and then received a B.S (Hons.) in electrical engineering and mathematics in 1999, M.S. in electrical engineering in 2000, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 2003 at Stanford University. 

In 2004, Chiang became an assistant professor at Princeton University and, in 2008, an associate professor with tenure. In 2011, he became a professor, and in 2013, the Arthur LeGrand Doty Professor of Electrical Engineering. He is among the youngest faculty at Princeton University to become an endowed chair professor.

Chiang was named dean of the College of Engineering at Purdue University in 2017. He is among the youngest in modern history to become the leader of a major college in an American University at 40. In 2021, he was named Executive Vice President of Purdue University while continuing as Dean of the College of Engineering.

The Purdue University Board of Trustees announced its unanimous election of Chiang to become the university’s 13th president on January 1, 2023, being Mitch Daniels’s successor.

Michael Bellah, the culprit of this merciless crime, is still in prison. She was from Josephine County, and she dialed 911 to complain that her violent ex-boyfriend was attempting to break into her home, but in reply, she was told that there were no officers on duty to help her.

The operator replied, “I don’t have anybody to send out there.” You know, if he comes into your house and violates you, can you ask him to leave?

The woman clarified that her ex-boyfriend, Michael Bellah, had put her in the hospital just weeks prior and had been attempting to get rid of him.

The accused, Michael Bellah, was later taken to jail and pleaded guilty to kidnapping and assault.

Michael Bellah’s case had been in the headlines for several years. The story has come into the limelight after Josephine County residents narrowly defeated a ballot measure that may have stopped tragedies like this.

Due to the number of deputies at Josephine County’s Sheriff’s Department having been cut, seeking the termination of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act – a multimillion-dollar annual federal aid payment for timber-producing counties.

The remaining officers were only accessible from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday.

The woman’s miserable call came on a Saturday. The county dispatcher conveyed her call to the state police, but at the time of the crime, there were no state troopers within easy reach to help her.

Several sheriff’s department officers have expressed grief about this case. One of them said the risk she was reporting was real. The state police wanted her ex for heartless violations. We’re not using the woman’s name because it’s NPR’s policy not to name the victims of sexual assault. She told dispatch her ex had hurt her before.

After all the incidents, Finnerty dropped out of Duke as a sophomore and spent a year with his family. Then, he went on to Loyola College in Maryland to get his degree.

During the 2008/2009 season, Finnerty was included in the Tewaaraton Trophy shortlist, which is granted yearly to the best lacrosse player in the country.

Reportedly, the case against Collin Finnerty and two other players was later dropped by the prosecution.

Reade Seligmann married a year before the wrongful rape claim, according to reports. All three players’ lives were impacted by the Duke lacrosse case.

In the spring, three Duke members, David Evans, Collin Finnerty, and Reade Seligmann, were charged with felony rape, kidnapping, and sexual misconduct in connection with an alleged event on 13 March at a Duke lacrosse team event.

After the complainant stated that the accuser could no longer say with any certainty that she had been assaulted. Nifong dropped the rape allegations against the three Duke athletes.

The accused did not indicate that she was attacked by Seligmann in her December interview. Later, she claimed he was involved but only stood by and watched while others sexually abused her.

Crystal Mangum’s allegation resulted in the Duke lacrosse case. She was a stripper during the party, which was held at Duke University’s 610 North Buchanan Boulevard residence.

When the rape case occurred, Mangum was 16 years old. She was North Carolina Central University student and an exotic dancer.

The lady claims she was raped, assaulted, and suffocated for half an hour by the Duke players into a bathroom.

Mangum called authorities complaining that white men standing outside of the house where the party was held had hurled racial epithets at her and attempted to sexually assault her with a broomstick.

The state’s attorney general’s office delayed almost one year to discharge the accusations and declare the athletes innocent of the accusations made against them.

A 9-year-old kid Robby Taylor from Arkansas died after two pit bulls attack him two years ago. He was mauled and killed by two dogs after walking outside to check his family’s mailbox.

He was reported missing at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020, reportedly from his Mount Vernon residence according to the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office.

The 9-year-old had gone to check the mail but never made his way home after that said his mother. It was his sister who found him in the field behind the mailbox.

He was found dead when his mother noticed reportedly many dogs escaping from a field near their house, indicating an apparent dog attack.

The tragic case is still circulating on social media, causing uncounted astonishment despite being two years, as nobody had ever imagined that one day, something worse will be thrown in front of them.

Later, the involuntary body of the baby was taken into custody following his discovery near Mount Vernon on Thursday morning of May 28, 2020, following a suspected canine assault.

A 9-year-old boy named Robby Taylor Arkansas was mauled and killed by two Pitbulls on the 28th of May 2020 after he had gone to check the family mailbox.

The vicious dog attack claimed the life of the Arkansas kid. Two canines were reportedly taken into custody by the Conway Animal Shelter from home on Chambers Lane.

Whereas, the owner of two pit bulls who killed Taylor while walking to get the mail has been caught eight months after the tragedy. The two dogs claimed the life of an innocent kid.

The owner of the dogs, Lisa Young, 26, had been charged reportedly with negligent homicide and faced a maximum sentence of one year in jail if convicted.

While the Pitbulls killed the boy, Lisa was not at her home. Trey Wyatt, who was at home, was charged reportedly with negligent murder, evidence tampering, and 4 additional drug-related charges.
