Hulu’s true-crime Candy featuring Jessica Biel released its trailer on April 13, 2022. The series is based on the real-life killing of Betty Gore.

In the new trailer, Biel is seen in the character of housewife-turned-ax-murderer Candy Montgomery. The trailer also features Melanie Lynskey.

The preview begins at a baby shower for Gore who is touched by Montgomery s’ generosity, compassion, and friendship.

Then the two-minute trailer shows Candy a suburban housewife turning into an insane evil woman.

She then kills her friend Betty Gore after embarking on a month-long love affair with Allan (Pablo Schreiber), Gore’s husband.

The movie also features actors like Raúl Esparza and Timothy Simons. It has been directed by Marvel Legion’s maker,  Michael Uppendah.

The crime drama series is set to be released on May 9, 2022, with a new episode for five nights until May 13, 2022.

Candy Montgomery is a housewife married to an electrical engineer Pat Montgomery.

She becomes the murderer of Betty Gore on June 13, 1980, who was killed by an ax. However, the manner of the death in which she was killed remained conflicting.

Candy was eventually charged with murder and released on bail, with her church’s full backing.

She then hires  Dr. Fred Fason, a psychiatrist, and clinical hypnotist, to help her remember the murder. Ultimately, it was revealed that Montgomery had childhood trauma that resulted in her adult personality.

Betty had challenged her about her affair with Allan and had attacked her in the first place, she told the jurors.

As mentioned in Daily Mail, Betty had received 41 blows on her body, of which nearly forty happened when Gore was still breathing.

Candy was proven not guilty by the jurors, ultimately she moved to Georgia. She reportedly lived as Candace Wheeler, a mental health therapist.

Jessica Biel has been married to fellow singer and actor, Justin Timberlake. They began dating in the year 2007 and got married on October 19, 2012.

Together the couple is blessed with two sons together: Silas, born in April 2015, and Phineas, born in July 2020.

Viktor Medvechuk was arrested in Ukraine because of his close alliance with President Vladimir Putin. Medvedchuk was pictured several times with Putin and also President Putin to be a personal friend.

For years, he was tolerated in Ukrainian political circles because he was viewed as a vital line of contact with the Kremlin.

According to ca. news, Medvedchuk also served as a go-between for Russian-backed rebels who took control of eastern Ukraine. During the conflict with Russia in eastern Ukraine in 2014, he participated in peace talks, notably as a member of Ukraine’s negotiating team for a prisoner exchange.

Medvedchuk, according to Ukrainian officials, was involved in the unlawful selling of coal from separatist-controlled territory in Ukraine’s east. Last year, Ukraine nationalized an oil pipeline owned by Medvedchuk and shut down many television stations linked with him in the media.

The court also handed over Medvedchuk’s detained boat “Royal Romance” to the Asset Recovery and Management Agency, as per Odessajournal.
