Stranded Aussies in Fiji: Cyclone Chaos Leaves Travelers Feeling Unsafe

0

Exclusive: Melanie Harris touched down in Fiji this week with dreams of a peaceful tropical escape. Instead, she finds herself caught on the periphery of a category 3 cyclone.

Severe Tropical Cyclone Vaianu has been causing significant disruption on the island’s western side, especially around the popular tourist hub of Nadi.

Currently, Harris and her young son are staying at a hotel situated about an hour south of Nadi, where they have experienced firsthand the cyclone’s “terrifying” might.

“The wind is loud, relentless, and completely unpredictable,” Harris shared with nine.com.au, describing the storm’s intensity.

“You can hear it constantly, even through the walls,” she added, illustrating the cyclone’s unyielding presence.

“It just puts you on edge.”

Fiji has been buffeted by strong winds and rain, and local authorities have issued flash flood warnings in several provinces.

Harris said she heard objects being tossed around in damaging winds just last night while eating dinner at the resort where she’s staying.

She also reported multiple power outages at the resort, which have been particularly alarming at night.

“Everything suddenly goes dark and the wind is still howling outside,” she said.

”It just didn’t feel safe.”

Hotel staff have taped the windows on guest rooms.

Trying to reassure her young son and remain calm herself has been difficult.

“At one point, my son slipped on the wet tiles in the wild weather and smashed his head, which was absolutely terrifying,” Harris said.

“You’re already on edge, and then something like that happens.

“It just takes everything to another level.”

Nearly all of the activities and day trips Harris had booked have been cancelled, and she is waiting for refunds.

Hotel staff have been helpful but appear overwhelmed and under-resourced, Harris claimed.

“They have almost been downplaying the cyclone and don’t have much information to give,” she said.

Harris has been struggling to sleep and fears the situation could escalate without warning.

Tomorrow she plans to move to a different hotel in a more protected location.

She just hopes the cyclone won’t impact her flight home to Australia on Sunday.

A flight from Sydney to Fiji was diverted to Tonga’s capital, Nuku’alofa, yesterday due to bad weather and travellers are being warned to expect significant disruptions.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has urged travellers to be on high alert, warning parts of the country could be smashed by strong winds, heavy rain and flash flooding.

Another tropical cyclone, Cyclone Maila is currently tracking off the Solomon Islands and could hit Papua New Guinea.

The category 3 storm could still hit Australia, experts have warned.

Reversing Early Menopause: Breakthrough Treatment Shows Results in Just Three Weeks

Megyn Kelly has sparked intense debate across social media after delving into a once-avoided topic in women’s health: hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

In a recent episode of her podcast, the 55-year-old broadcaster openly shared, “I’m on it and I love it. It has resolved so many issues I didn’t even realize were hormone-related.”

The idea of starting hormone replacement therapy, more accurately referred to as menopause replacement therapy (MRT), often makes women uneasy due to its association with aging. However, it’s time to break free from that stigma.

There’s no need for women to endure the discomforts of perimenopause and menopause. I can attest to this personally.

As someone deeply invested in health advocacy and with years of experience interviewing leading medical professionals, I am well-versed in the developments of hormone replacement therapy. Despite my extensive research and understanding, I never imagined it would be relevant to my own life—perhaps due to a bit of pride.

I eat well, exercise, focus on sleep and take my vitamins. I ‘do everything right.’ So, when my doctor ran through the standard menopause symptom checklist at my recent annual gynecological checkup, I swatted them away with pride.

Hot flashes? No.

Stubborn belly fat? Absolutely not.

Brain fog? Yes — but I’ve been that way since birth.

Vaginal dryness? Nah.

Periods still regular? Completely.

Sex drive, ok? Solid.

Then she asked something I never saw coming.

‘Any shoulder pain?’

I froze. For months, I’d had a bizarre and maddening shoulder injury that nothing could alleviate.

I’d blamed it on my first Wyoming winter and a snow shovel. But as someone who can still crank out dozens of strict push-ups, I found it baffling and somewhat humbling that I couldn’t shake it.

‘Why are you asking about my shoulder?’ I asked.

It turns out that musculoskeletal pain, particularly ‘frozen shoulder,’ is a well-documented but underreported symptom of perimenopause.

Estrogen, one of that hormones that decreases in women’s bodies as they age, has potent anti-inflammatory properties, and as it drops, tendons and joints become inflamed and slow to heal.

My jaw hit the floor.

My doctor put me on the lowest dose estrogen patch plus a low dose of progesterone.

Within three weeks, my shoulder was 90 percent better.

One of my first thoughts was: why don’t more women know about this?

Well, we know the answer – and it has to do with one of the biggest travesties in American medicine.

Some women are prescribed estrogen patches, seen here, to treat menopause symptoms

Some women are prescribed estrogen patches, seen here, to treat menopause symptoms

Every major figure in the study of MRT — Dr Michelle Milovina, Dr Mary Claire Haver, Dr Lisa Mosconi, Dr David Sinclair, Dr Drew Pinsky, Dr Peter Attia (all of whom I’ve interviewed) — all share one thing in common: a white-hot, barely contained fury over a single study called the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI).

Launched in 1991, the WHI was meant to be the definitive word on women’s health. But in 2002, the WHI was abruptly halted when researchers claimed that estrogen plus progestin (a synthetic compound that mimics progesterone) dramatically increased the risk of breast cancer, heart disease and stroke.

The findings rocked the medical community and the media erupted. Doctors stopped prescribing the hormones overnight and an entire generation of women were essentially abandoned — terrified of the very medicine that could help them.

But the study was fundamentally flawed.

The average participant was 63 years old — over a decade past the critical ‘window of opportunity’ for hormone therapy. The WHI also used synthetic progestins and oral estrogens, forms now considered largely obsolete.

Look at data for women in their 40s and 50s today who take modern, bioidentical, transdermal (patch) delivery. The risk of breast cancer risk doesn’t just shrink, for most women, it virtually disappears.

One botched study and millions of women suffered needlessly. Countless others have even died from preventable hip fractures or heart disease because their doctors were too frightened to prescribe the medicine that could have protected them.

MRT, I believe, is a miracle for women because it helps maintain our biology at its source. Estrogen and progesterone aren’t just ‘sex hormones.’ They’re the female body’s master regulators, governing nearly every major system.

But, starting at 40-year-old, her estrogen and progesterone levels start to drop. And when they go, they don’t just take your periods with them. They take the biological scaffolding that hold everything together.

Jillian’s MRT Guidelines

If you are a woman in her late 40s or early 50s, talk to your doctor. But here is the catch: you must find a professional who has educated themselves.

My gynecologist told me flat out, ‘This is not taught in medical school.’ Much like nutrition, doctors are required to go outside the standard curriculum to learn how to treat patients this way.

Here are my guidelines you should know…

The Patch Over the Pill: Doctors in the know now recommend the estrogen patch (transdermal) over oral pills, because the patch delivers hormones directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the liver. This eliminates the increased risk of blood clots and strokes associated with oral estrogen.

The Progesterone Requirement: If you still have your uterus, you must take progesterone alongside estrogen. Estrogen causes the uterine lining to grow; progesterone is the ‘check and balance’ that keeps that lining thin and prevents uterine cancer.

Testosterone: It’s not just for men. For women struggling with low libido, muscle loss, or extreme fatigue, low-dose testosterone can be the final piece of the puzzle.

The brain: Estrogen fuels the brain’s glucose metabolism. When levels drop, the brain essentially begins to starve, producing the brain fog so many women dismiss as normal aging.

Even more alarming, long-term estrogen deprivation significantly increases the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Women already represent nearly two-thirds of all Alzheimer’s cases. This is not a coincidence.

Sleep: Progesterone converts in the brain to a neurosteroid called allopregnanolone, which activates GABA receptors essentially acting as a natural, safe sedative.

Women on MRT consistently report that the 3am wakeups stop. Deep, restorative sleep returns. Everything else follows.

Metabolism: Estrogen optimizes insulin sensitivity. Without it, the body becomes less efficient at processing carbohydrates and dramatically more prone to storing visceral fat, the dangerous kind packed around your organs, aka ‘menopause middle.’

Restoring estrogen restores metabolic flexibility. The weight that seemed impossible to shift suddenly responds again.

Heart and bones: Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the US. Not breast cancer, which is what almost everyone fears the most.

Estrogen keeps arteries supple and maintains healthy cholesterol ratios. It also governs bone-building cells. Without it, women can lose up to 20 percent of their bone density in just five years. The result of too little estrogen is osteoporosis, a ‘silent killer’ that announces itself only when a hip shatters.

Skin, hair, nails and joints: Estrogen is a primary driver of collagen synthesis, the structural protein that keeps skin firm, hair strong, and joints cushioned.

I’ve been open for years about using collagen peptides and they absolutely help. But here’s the critical piece most people miss: if estrogen is low, your body’s ability to use that collagen is compromised.

MRT and collagen supplementation aren’t competing strategies. They’re synergistic – one restores the engine, the other provides the fuel.

Additionally, the benefits of MRT are cumulative. Improved brain chemistry and progesterone-backed sleep lead to lower cortisol and more energy. When your insulin sensitivity is optimized, your metabolic flexibility returns.

Suddenly, you have the capacity to train harder, eat better and stay consistent. That’s when the results start to compound: stronger joints, healthier skin and better body composition — not from a single ‘miracle fix,’ but because the entire system is working in harmony again.

If you are suffering, don’t let pride stand in your way. We have the science to live better for longer. It’s time we start using it.

Zendaya Stuns in Timeless Backless Satin Gown at ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Premiere

0

Zendaya has once again captivated audiences.

The acclaimed actress and producer graced the red carpet at the “Euphoria” Season 3 premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, stunning onlookers in a brown satin halter gown designed by Ashi Studio. Her appearance was nothing short of radiant, as the rich, dark-chocolate hue of the gown complemented her elegance perfectly.

She opted for a classic and understated look, with her hair styled in a sleek updo. Her accessories were minimal yet impactful, featuring matching brown satin heels and a pair of diamond-studded hoop earrings that added a touch of sparkle.

In the much-anticipated third season, Zendaya, 29, returns to her role as Rue Bennett. The trailer teases moments of intrigue, with Rue denying a dubious trip to Mexico. The previous season, which aired in 2022, focused on Rue’s battle with drug addiction, and Zendaya has expressed a desire to delve deeper into her character’s journey towards sobriety.

Moreover, Zendaya hinted at the conclusion of the HBO series, suggesting to Drew Barrymore that “closure is coming,” indicating that Season 3 may mark the show’s finale.

“Euphoria, it cracked my heart open,” she said. “Rue taught me so much about life. I mean, that crew also has seen me grow up. I owe so much to that show.”

“Rue taught me so much about empathy and about redemption,” she continued. “She taught me a lot, and I’m very grateful for all of it.”

2026 is a huge year for Zendaya; she just wrapped her bridal-themed press tour for “The Drama” after appearing to marry real-life fiancé Tom Holland.

And, after “Euphoria” drops on April 12, she’ll continue to be out and about as she promotes her forthcoming projects including “The Odyssey,” “Dune: Part Three” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”

DePaul University Students Advocate for Reinstatement of Students for Justice in Palestine at Lincoln Park Campus

0

CHICAGO — DePaul University students are calling for the reinstatement of a student group focused on Palestinian issues, which they say has been unjustly suspended.

The students allege that the organization was put on hold last year and are pushing for it to be reactivated.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

Members of the Students for Justice in Palestine chapter at DePaul have stated that their group faced sanctions in 2024, with the suspension set to last until 2027.

According to the students, this action was taken as a consequence of their outspoken stance on alleged injustices against the Palestinian community.

“I should be looking forward to graduating and celebrating my achievements here,” said Tes, a Palestinian student affected by the suspension.

Through tears, Tes told the story of how her experience attending DePaul had only made her feel more marginalized, even questioning the possibility of her diploma being stripped away.

“My parents automatically were like, ‘Was this the right decision?’” Tes said. “We’ve seen students from different universities having their diplomas taken away, them not being able to walk the stage.”

She rallied Tuesday with other students who share the same feelings of discrimination on campus.

They say they received a letter from the university in 2024 stating that the Students for Justice in Palestine chapter would be sanctioned, claiming the chapter was antisemitic.

The letter was received after a pro-Palestinian encampment on campus was dismantled.

The Chicago office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, said that organization has now been suspended for the next two years.

“We have filed discrimination complaints with the Illinois Department of Human Rights. It is why we are committed to pushing for transparency, accountability and justice. Because this moment is more than one campus,” said Estrella Vazquez, district director for state Rep. Lilian Jimenez.

Their efforts have garnered support from other religious leaders.

“It is not antisemitic to be in solidarity with Palestinians,” said Rabbi Brant Rosen, with Tzedek Chicago.

“DePaul, you need to check yourself out. Live up to your Vincentian mission. Or take the name Vincentian and take the name Catholic off your identity,” said Father Michael Pfleger, with Saint Sabina Church.

The DePaul campus has been a hot spot for conflict between supporters of Israelis and Palestinians.

Hate crime charges were filed after two Jewish students were attacked outside a student center.

DePaul said in a statement, “As a Catholic institution, DePaul University compassionately upholds the dignity of all members of our diverse, multi-faith, and inclusive community. DePaul has no tolerance for any act of hatred or discrimination.

“The university is steadfastly committed to investigating every reported complaint of harassment or discrimination. Students, faculty and staff can report incidents online, by email, by phone, or in-person. Anonymous reporting options are also available. These reporting mechanisms are publicly stated in related university policies, posted on flyers on our campuses, and routinely publicized to our community in email communications.

“Free expression is a core value at DePaul. We draw a distinction between protected speech and action that violates our Code of Student Responsibility. Following a Student Conduct Process, this student organization was found to be in violation of multiple university policies and was sanctioned accordingly.”

Jackie O Opens Up About the Origins of Her Dispute with Kyle Sandilands

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had voiced her grievances about her former co-host Kyle Sandilands to their bosses at KIIS radio half a year before their partnership dramatically unraveled during a live broadcast, according to court documents.

This information emerged in a statement submitted on Henderson’s behalf in the Federal Court. It forms part of her lawsuit against ARN Media, the parent company of KIIS, following the abrupt termination of her $100 million contract.

ARN decided to cancel the groundbreaking contract with the popular radio pair after an incident on the February 20 episode of the Kyle and Jackie O Show. During that segment, Sandilands criticized Henderson’s “obsession” with astrology.

Henderson responded by saying, “that’s not fair,” and exited the studio in tears. This led to ARN dissolving their joint $200 million agreement. Meanwhile, Sandilands is pursuing his own legal action against the broadcaster on separate issues.

Henderson said ‘that’s not fair’ and left the studio in tears, before ARN ripped up their combined $200million agreement. Sandilands is suing the broadcaster separately over different grounds.

According to the court documents, obtained by the Daily Mail, Henderson started speaking with the head of KIIS network Derek Bargwanna and executive producer Natalie Penfold about Sandilands’ behaviour in mid-2025.

The complaints began on August 20 when Sandilands referred to Henderson’s ‘psycho babble’ and ‘weird psychological bulls**t’ and allegedly attacked her personal life during a live broadcast.

During that broadcast, he said ‘I am worried about you … that you’ll never find anyone’, ‘your real is not everyone’s real, and ‘Why don’t you just get rid of all of this rubbish that you’ve learnt…and go out and date and let everyone be free’.

He also referred to her ‘period time’.

Henderson filed her own lawsuit Tuesday, and is alleging the termination of her contract was a breach of the Fair Work Act

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has followed her former co-host Kyle Sandilands by launching a lawsuit against ARN

Henderson briefly left the live broadcast following those comments, before Mr Bargwanna and Ms Penfold went to see her about Sandilands’ comments.

The co-hosts had an argument on air three weeks later, on September 10, but Henderson claims Sandilands’ comments were censored out.

At 6.23am that morning, Henderson texted Mr Bargwanna, saying ‘I will not be spoken to the way I was(particularly off air)…’

Almost two hours later, Mr Bargwanna texted Henderson to say Sandilands wanted to share his weight loss success with her.

The message read: ‘Kyle is going to try and call you on air to share good news he lost weight. he wants to be your friend again etc.’

The following day, Mr Bargwanna texted Henderson again, saying ‘all ok today?’.

Henderson replied, telling Mr Bargwanna that female listeners were complaining about Sandilands’ behaviour and calling their on-air relationship ‘abusive’.

She also asked that ARN chairman Hamish McLennan and CEO Ciaran Davis be made aware of the situation.

Kyle Sandilands (pictured outside the Federal Court in Sydney) filed his own lawsuit against ARN in the Federal Court on March 23

‘Yeah it’s fine today. But let’s make sure Hamish [McLennan] and Ciaran [Davis] start to think about how to address this,’ she told Mr Bargwanna.

‘We are getting a lot of complaints from listeners, calling it an abusive relationship, women especially. I can send you though some [of] the examples.’

In his response, Mr Bargwanna said he had two conversations about the issue with Mr McLennan and Mr Davis.

Henderson is alleging the termination of her contract was a breach of the Fair Work Act, and is claiming compensation of at least $82.25million.

She is also seeking payment of a pecuniary penalty plus interest and costs.

This is a breaking news story. It will be updated with more information shortly.

Daylight Hammer Attack Suspect Tied to Biden’s Immigration Policies: DHS Report Highlights Policy Concerns

0

An undocumented immigrant from Haiti, initially detained and later released by the Biden administration in 2022, has been arrested following a brutal incident that took place in Fort Myers, Florida. The suspect, Rolbert Joachim, 40, is accused of fatally attacking a woman with a hammer outside a gas station in broad daylight.

According to records from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Joachim faces charges of second-degree murder and criminal damage to property. The violent act was captured on surveillance footage, which reportedly shows Joachim shattering the windshield of the woman’s car before approaching her and delivering fatal blows to her head with a hammer.

The victim, whose name has not yet been disclosed to the public, was reportedly employed as a store clerk at the gas station where the attack occurred. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been involved in the investigation, highlighting the alarming nature of the crime.

This tragic event has raised questions about the policies regarding immigration enforcement and the monitoring of individuals released after detention. The suspect, Rolbert Joachim, remains in custody as legal proceedings continue.

She was also the mother of two teenage daughters, according to a report from local outlet Gulf Coast News.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) assisted the Fort Myers Police Department in tracking down and arresting Joachim on Mango Street in Fort Myers.

Joachim first entered the U.S. in August 2022 and was released into the country under the Biden administration, according to DHS.

A federal judge issued a final order of removal against him later that year, but he was granted Temporary Protected Status — which expired in 2024.

“This illegal alien barbarically hit this woman in the head multiple times with a hammer,” DHS acting assistant secretary Lauren Bis wrote in a statement. “This heinous murderer was RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration. Not only did the Biden administration release him into the country, but they then gave him temporary protected status. Their reckless immigration policies cost this woman her life.”

ICE has lodged a detainer against Joachim, and he will be deported regardless of the outcome of the case.

“The arrest of this criminal is an example of how ICE and local authorities can work together to swiftly bring criminals to justice and make our communities safer,” Bis said.

Will There Be A Shrinking Season 4 On Apple TV? Or Is Shrinking Ending? Shrinking Season 4 Info:

On Tuesday, January 27, hours before Shrinking Season 3’s supersized premiere was set to stream, Apple TV announced a rare, incredibly early Season 4 renewal! Ahead of Season 3’s finale, co-creator Bill Lawrence teased Season 4 on X, writing, “Excited to start completely new story next year. Feels scary/risky/fun.” He also added, “We always pitched a three season story on #Shrinking, grief-forgiveness-moving forward. We wanted to stay true to that and end the way we planned.”

After “new story” sparked some confusion, the Shrinking showrunner explained, “I mean that if we came back Season 4 and Jimmy turned to Brian and said ‘I’ve been thinking about it, and I’m STILL really sad about my wife dying’ we’d stop watching along w everyone else. If you worried that Shrinking would move forward without Ford, fear not! Lawrence assured everyone that “Same gang” means the “Same EXACT cast next year.”

“He is not leaving the show,” Shrinking‘s co-creator stressed. “He’s not going anywhere. Not an accident that Alice goes to college in Connecticut.” The fact that Alice is going to college at Wesleyan University in Connecticut provides tons of bi-costal potential for the series. So fear not, Ford will return, and we can’t wait to see what the team has in store.

Tragic Accident: ‘Father Figure’ Strikes 3-Year-Old in Truck Incident, Say Police

0

Inset, left to right: Daniel Richard Bryant (Kent County Sheriff’s Office). Background: The area in Michigan where Bryant allegedly killed a 3-year-old girl (Google Maps).

A Michigan man, aged 33, is facing serious charges following the tragic death of a 3-year-old girl in his care. Authorities report that the girl was fatally struck by a pickup truck he was driving, during an alleged game of “racing” alongside the vehicle.

The suspect, identified as Daniel Richard Bryant, was apprehended last week in connection with the incident involving young Estella Johnson. Officials have suggested that alcohol consumption might have played a role at the time of the accident.

Bryant, who has been described by police as a “father figure” to Estella and is also engaged to her mother, is currently charged with reckless driving causing death and second-degree child abuse.

According to a statement from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, emergency services were dispatched shortly after 4 p.m. on April 3 to the 13000 block of Darcy Circle NE. They responded to reports of a child being hit by a pickup truck. Despite efforts to save her, Estella was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severe injuries she sustained.

Investigations revealed that Bryant was driving recklessly when the accident occurred, and authorities have highlighted the potential influence of alcohol. He is currently held at the Kent County Correctional Facility, and further charges may be filed as the investigation progresses.

The child was identified as Estella Johnson, according to MLive. The outlet reported that Bryant initially told deputies that he and the victim were “just racing up the street,” with the girl running alongside his truck in a Cedar Springs mobile home park at the time of the incident. Bryant said he had been driving back from a nearby family member’s home with another child when Estella began running next to the vehicle.

Bryant told investigators he was traveling around 10 mph when he heard the child’s sibling yell for him to “Stop.” At that point, Bryant said he realized Estella was underneath the truck, MLive reported, citing a probable cause affidavit.

Bryant also allegedly said the girl suddenly “ran under the truck,” Grand Rapids, Michigan, ABC affiliate WZZM reported.

Authorities, however, reportedly noted possible signs of reckless driving at the scene, including what appeared to be recent acceleration tire marks near the residence.

Bryant further admitted to deputies that he is an alcoholic and consumes about a half gallon of alcohol daily, according to investigators, and officers noted an odor of alcohol during his transport to jail.

Witness accounts paint a chaotic and heartbreaking scene in the moments after the crash. A neighbor who rushed to help told Grand Rapids NBC affiliate WOOD that he attempted CPR on the child, but was unable to resuscitate her.

“I was doing compressions on her chest, but by the time cops or paramedics got here, she was already gone,” the neighbor said.

Another neighbor described the emotional aftermath as the child’s mother arrived.

“I said, ‘Alyssa, you need to get home right now. Your daughter’s just been run over,’” the neighbor said, adding that the mother “just bawled” when she learned what had happened.

Bryant reportedly has prior driving-related offenses, including a previous reckless driving conviction. He is currently scheduled to return to court on April 15 for a probable cause hearing, records show.

Meanwhile, those who knew Estella are remembering her as a vibrant and loving child. Her obituary describes her as “curious, intelligent, outgoing, and feisty,” adding that she “loved to pretend, to explore, and to fully immerse herself in play.”

A judge on Monday ordered Bryant to remain in custody on a $500,000 bond, court records show.

Key Indicator Emerges for GOP in the Race to Succeed Marjorie Taylor Greene

0

Republican efforts are in full swing as they pour financial resources into Georgia’s runoff election scheduled for Tuesday. This race is crucial as it seeks to fill the seat of Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, with Republicans aiming to stave off any unexpected outcomes or a tight race with the Democratic contender, which could potentially lead to embarrassment ahead of the midterm elections.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, who once staunchly supported the MAGA movement but has since become a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump, revealed in November her plans to resign from Congress early in the new year.

In the special election held last month, Republican Clayton Fuller and Democrat Shawn Harris emerged as the top contenders. The election featured candidates from both political parties on the same ballot.

However, as neither candidate managed to secure more than 50% of the vote, the race has advanced to a runoff phase.

In response, groups aligned with the Republican Party have been investing in advertising campaigns to motivate GOP supporters to participate in the upcoming polls.

Punchbowl News reported Monday that outside Republican groups have spent more than $1.5 million on TV ads, digital ads and mailers to increase GOP turnout in a district that went for Trump by nearly 37 points. Greene won her district – against Harris – by nearly 29 points.

If Harris can winnow that margin down to single digits it could suggest the GOP is in for a shellacking in the coming midterms, in which they’re trying to hold onto their Congressional majority.

Still, the Republican panic is likely overblown, with prediction markets giving Fuller a 98 percent chance of a win in the deep red district.

‘They say whoever I endorse is going to win. But we have a lot of good candidates that want to take her place,’ Trump said on February 16.

The White House wouldn’t say whether Trump had forgotten that he had already made an endorsement in the race, instead pointing the Daily Mail to his original endorsement post.

Trump reposted the endorsement two days after the flight.

The Daily Mail found that Fuller previously donated $250 to James Mackler, a former Democratic candidate for the US Senate.

He also ran for Congress in 2020 and was endorsed by the With Honor Fund, a bipartisan group focused on electing military veterans with the aim of ending political polarization.

The group has endorsed Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans, with Emma Bloomberg, the daughter of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a Republican-turned-Democrat, sitting on the group’s advisory board.

Both Fuller and Harris are military veterans as the Iran war becomes a major voting issue.

Despite being a Democrat, his comments align more closely with Greene’s.

The former congresswoman is among those in Trump’s MAGA base who felt he should have stuck to his campaign promise of keeping the country out of ‘forever’ wars.

Reacting to Trump’s foul-mouthed Easter post, in which he ordered Iran to open the ‘F***in’ Strait, you crazy bas*****,’ Greene posted to X Sunday that she thought the 79-year-old President had ‘gone insane.’

‘This [is] NOT what we promised the American people when they overwhelmingly voted in 2024, I know, I was there more than most,’ she wrote. ‘This is not making America great again, this is evil.’

Harris, who’s also a cattle farmer, said in a CNN interview Saturday morning that Iran was a ‘war of choice’

‘We shouldn’t have been in it in the first place and Iran is not going to be an easy target,’ the Democrat continued.

When asked what his message was to voters who previously backed Greene, Harris pointed at the economy.

Clayton Fuller, the Republican candidate to replace Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, will likely win Tuesday's runoff against Democrat Shawn Harris, but the race has some Republican outside groups jittery and so they're funding ads to make sure GOP voters show up at the polls

‘I focus on kitchen table issues and making sure we’re taking care of the people here in Northwest Georgia, period,’ he answered.

Fuller, an Air National Guard veteran who was previously deployed at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which has been a focus of Iranian strikes, has been supportive of the war – though hasn’t made that support a centerpiece of his campaign.

‘Our country is safe because of what President Trump has done regarding Iran,’ he said at a debate last month at the Atlanta Press Club. ‘It is a death cult that cannot be negotiated with.’

The Republican hopeful also gave Trump high marks on the economy in the March 22 debate.

‘The policies of President Trump are working for the people of GA-14,’ Fuller said. ‘Again, he inherited the worst economic inflationary crisis than any president in the last 50 years.’
