Helicopter footage from Chopper 7 captured the scene, showing a house cordoned off with crime scene tape in the 200 block of Green Bay Road in Highwood at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Highwood officers were dispatched to conduct a welfare check on a man reportedly in a highly intoxicated and suicidal state. A relative, who was not present at the scene, had informed 911 that the man’s ex-girlfriend was also in the home with him.

According to a statement from the Highwood police, upon arrival, officers discovered the man had barricaded himself in a bathroom. The man allegedly claimed to be armed and warned officers, expressing hope they were wearing protective vests. He then emerged suddenly with a pistol aimed at the officers, prompting one officer to fire their weapon, striking the individual.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Investigators recovered what appeared to be a “replica pistol.”

Paris Jackson Acknowledges Credibility in Allegations Against Her Father

0

This evening, Jaafar Jackson, nephew of the legendary Michael Jackson, is set to grace the red carpet in Berlin for the premiere of the biopic “Michael,” where he portrays his iconic uncle. Accompanying him will be his father, Jermaine Jackson.

The occasion is being promoted as a ‘global fan celebration,’ complete with a pop-up exhibit, opportunities to hear from the film’s cast and crew, and exclusive behind-the-scenes insights, sure to captivate loyal fans.

Anticipation is high as enthusiasts are expected to turn out in droves to support the film, which boasts a hefty $150 million production budget, upon its release on April 22.

Spanning 130 minutes, this cinematic portrayal concludes with Michael Jackson’s release of “Thriller,” marking the zenith of his solo career. The film is poised to become a significant cultural moment, potentially earning billions at the box office, fueled by the enduring and passionate global fanbase.

However, not highlighted in the official ‘making of’ narratives are the serious allegations surrounding Michael Jackson, which have led to his 28-year-old daughter, Paris, opting not to attend the premiere in Berlin or the U.S. premiere in Los Angeles on April 20, despite residing in the city.

For the film, meant to secure Jackson’s legacy as one of the greatest talents in modern music, has instead become subsumed by the most serious allegations over his private life and finances and is in danger of being overshadowed by a growing number of lawsuits – some of which are horrifying.

Last year it emerged that at least a third of the film had to be junked after it depicted as false the allegations of sexual abuse levelled by the family of Jordy Chandler in 1993.

Lawyers for the Jackson estate – which funded and produced the film – were reminded that they had signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) regarding those allegations and that it explicitly lasted even after Jackson’s death.

Costly chaos followed. Millions were spent in reshoots – reports suggest $50million though the producers claim only $15million – and the film was completely rewritten. The entire final third – which reportedly saw Jackson being ‘targeted’ by ‘lies’ over sexual abuse was removed. All scenes filmed at Jackson’s Californian home Neverland were also junked and release was put back by a year.

It’s possible that some of that later-period material will be resurrected for a second film – which Lionsgate wants to make – even though it will have to exclude allegations of the abuse of young boys which shaped Jackson’s final years of exile and retreat.

Meanwhile, there are renewed allegations of predatory paedophile abuse by the singer, most notably from the Cascio family who say he sexually abused four of their five children, calling them the Applehead Gang.

Those allegations bubbled to the surface after the now adult children watched the documentary Leaving Neverland in 2019.

In it, Wade Robson and James Safechuck told the story of how they were groomed and abused by Jackson as children, and how they and their families travelled the globe with the pop star at the height of his fame.

The Cascio children – who had met Jackson through their father Frank, an employee at a hotel in New York where the singer had stayed – then realised they had each been subjected to the same abuse, including rapes, but had kept it a secret from each other, allegedly under Jackson’s orders.

They have now filed a complaint in California against Jackson’s estate and against all of the adults working for him, whom they said complicitly enabled him to carry out this abuse. The complaint said he would ply them with wine and spirits and use code words for extreme sexual abuse such as ‘going to Disneyland’.

A sickening cache of photos showing Jackson cuddling two of the Cascio children – Dominic and Aldo – was released this week.

Another piece of evidence can also be revealed in the shape of a handwritten note from Jackson to the family, telling them not to believe the ‘garbage’ being circulated about him in the Press. Lawyers for Jackson’s estate deny all claims of wrongdoing and say the action is a financial shakedown.

The estate is at the centre of further legal action brought by Jackson’s daughter Paris. She has received around $65million from the estate but believes its lawyers may have been overcharging and helping themselves to unwarranted gratuities during their 16 years in charge. She also questions why they are still involved, so many years after Jackson died. That may not be the worst of the difficulties between Paris and her father’s estate. Many will remember her as the sweet girl who spontaneously paid tribute to her father as ‘the best Daddy ever’ at his funeral in July 2009.

‘I just wanted to say, ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine – and I just wanted to say I love him so much,’ she said. She then collapsed crying in the arms of her aunt, Janet Jackson.

However that adulation has apparently given way to something more ‘complicated’.

Previously Paris has said she doesn’t believe her ‘kind-hearted’ father could have sexually abused anyone and denounced those suggestions as ‘lies’.

Recently however, she appears to be in retreat from that position. It can be revealed for the first time here that those close to the Cascios say Paris has – devastatingly – come to believe that the stories about her father being a paedophile are likely true.

A source said they understand Paris will ‘go public’ when she feels ready. ‘Paris has stayed in touch with the Cascio family and she is especially close with their mother, Connie. There have been some very candid conversations over the years between Paris and the Cascio family and, based upon those, Paris knows exactly what her father did,’ says the source.

The insider adds: ‘This will come out officially from Paris in time but it’s going to come out when Paris wants it to come out.’

She is said to be sympathetic to the Cascios, whom she got to know well as a child, even though, should their claim succeed, it will cause her significant financial loss. Sources close to Paris say this is an overstatement and oversimplification of a very complex situation. They say that if she now believes her father might have been a paedophile, it is not something which she shares with them, or intends to share with the world. We’re told her feelings about her father and his legacy are ‘complicated and private’.

Notably, she has recently erased some tattoos on her body which reference Jackson, including a logo based on his initials which she had on her finger in 2016. It’s now obscured by an overlaid pattern. A large tattoo of Jackson’s face on her arm, also inked in 2016 – taken from the cover of his 1991 Dangerous album – now has a fat, ridged scar, apparently from self-harming, running across it.

And in 2019, after the release of the Leaving Neverland documentary, Paris said: ‘There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said in regards to defence.’ That is some way away from proclaiming her father’s innocence.

And last summer, Paris took some by surprise when she distanced herself from the forthcoming Michael biopic.

She posted on social media: ‘I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest/didn’t sit right with me, and when they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life. Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.’

She expanded her comments on Instagram, saying: ‘So I just butted out and left it alone because it’s not my project. They’re going to make whatever they’re going to make. A big reason why I haven’t said anything up until this point is because I know a lot of you guys (the fans) are gonna be happy with it.

‘A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in the fantasy and they’re gonna be happy with it.’

That implied that what she’d seen of the film presented a version of events, presumably around the alleged abuse of Chandler, with which she didn’t agree.

She went on: ‘The narrative is being controlled and there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it.’

Born in 1998, Paris is the middle of Jackson’s three children. He had a financial arrangement with nurse Debbie Rowe – the birth mother of oldest child Prince as well as Paris – which gave him full custody of both children.

He and Rowe were legally married for two years. It is not known who acted as the surrogate for the youngest child, Blanket, also known as Bigi.

During her childhood, Paris and her siblings often wore masks in public to hide their faces.

After Jackson died of acute intoxication with the surgical anaesthetic propofol, having been given the drugs by Dr Conrad Murray, the Jackson children were taken into the care of their grandmother Katherine and Michael Jackson’s brother Tito.

Paris was enrolled at the exclusive Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California, but she later attended a residential school. In an interview in 2017 with Rolling Stone magazine, Paris said she had been sexually assaulted by a stranger when she was 14 and had attempted suicide multiple times due to ‘self hatred’. She added that she continued to idolise her father at that time, saying: ‘He’s brought me nothing but joy.’

However, in October 2020, she claimed that while at therapeutic boarding school in Utah, she and other students had been subjected to extensive abuse, in response to similar allegations in Paris Hilton’s documentary This Is Paris.

Jackson posted to her Instagram account: ‘As a girl who also went to a behavior modification ‘boarding school’ for almost two years as a teenager, and has since been diagnosed with PTSD because of it, and continue to have nightmares and trust issues, I stand with @ParisHilton and the other survivors.

‘The other girls I’m still friends with to this day that went to the boarding school with me all have the same symptoms of PTSD and nightmares and trust issues. This is child abuse… Let’s start with Provo [Hilton’s school] and keep going from there.’

More recently she has been open about her past drug abuse which led to her developing a hole in the septum of her nose, large enough to pass a spaghetti strand through. She said in January last year that she was grateful to have been clean of heroin and alcohol for five years.

‘Hi, I’m pk (Paris Katherine) and I’m an alcoholic and a heroin addict. Today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol. To say that I’m thankful would be a poor euphemism. Gratitude hardly scratches the surface.’

She added: ‘It’s because I’m sober that I get to smile today. I get to make music. I get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. I get to feel heartbreak in all its glory. I get to grieve. I get to laugh. I get to dance. I get to trust. I feel the sun on my skin and it’s warm. I’ve found that life keeps happening regardless of whether I’m sober or not, but today I get to show up for it.’

She works as a model and musician and was engaged to music producer Justin Long before they broke up in July 2025. In that same month, she launched a legal action against the lawyers controlling her late father’s estate, raising concerns about ‘irregular payments’ including so‑called ‘premium payments’ for unrecorded attorney time.

Earlier this month executors John Branca and John McClain said that Paris had torpedoed a deal which they had agreed with Prince, 29, and Bigi, 24.

Paris and Prince Jackson attend the Michael Jackson diamond birthday celebration in 2018 – but the siblings now live largely separate lives

The executors said this week that they ‘believed they had reached an agreement spearheaded by the efforts of counsel for Bigi Jackson, who stated in email communications that he spoke for all three siblings and their counsel on the issues.’

However lawyers for Paris then said the agreement was not acceptable. They have now presented demands which the estate says is ‘radically different from what the parties had seemingly agreed to just a week prior.’

A source close to Paris said that ‘from the moment she filed an objection, Paris Jackson has been the victim of a disgusting, outrageous smear campaign by the executors and their attorneys.

‘These lawyers are using Jackson family resources to mock, belittle and attack her for demanding transparency and accountability from the people who control every aspect of her family’s finances.’

The source added: ‘To be clear, there was never any deal on the table from any party that would have settled all issues between Paris and the executors,’ because of the addition of exceptions and ‘loopholes’ which would have made it ‘unworkable’. Their demands would have allowed executors and those same attorneys to continue operating without any accountability.’

The three siblings live largely separate lives. At times their lawyers have submitted common filings from them in the legal action, at others they act separately.

They were last seen together on the red carpet for the opening of MJ The Musical in London in March 2024. Before that they were last together in 2022, to support the musical when it opened in New York.

Given the circumstances, nobody is expecting an encore.

ICE Files Detainer for Undocumented Immigrant Charged in Fatal Shooting of Missouri Teen

0

In an exclusive report, Fox News has revealed that the Department of Homeland Security has issued an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer for an undocumented immigrant implicated in the tragic murder of a 15-year-old boy. The young victim is said to have pleaded for his life before his untimely death.

Yefry Archaga-Elvir, originating from Honduras, along with additional suspects, allegedly deceived Miles Young into thinking he was going to a meeting with a girl. According to DHS, a prosecutor in the case recounted how Archaga-Elvir obstructed Young’s car and pursued him on foot, ultimately shooting him in the chest with a handgun.

Witnesses reportedly heard the heartbreaking final plea from Young, “I just don’t want to die.”

Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis commented, “Miles Young was tricked into meeting an untimely death under the guise of a rendezvous. Unfortunately, he was met with a ruthless attack by this undocumented individual who later boasted about the crime.”

This tragic incident occurred in March 2026 in Missouri, where 15-year-old Miles Young fell victim to a calculated ambush. Authorities have identified Yefry Archaga as a suspect in this case.

“This animal was released into our country by the Obama administration. ICE lodged an arrest detainer requesting Missouri not release this depraved killer from jail into American neighborhoods,” Bis added.

According to DHS, a probable cause affidavit revealed Archaga-Elvir allegedly made a “braggadocios” phone call regarding the killing of Young.

The department says Archaga-Elvir was arrested in Texas as an accompanied minor in 2015, but he was released by the Obama administration.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., also weighed in on the arrest and ICE detainer lodged for the suspect, saying Archaga-Elvir should have never “been in Missouri in the first place.”

“A child in my home state of Missouri was ambushed and murdered by an illegal alien,” Hawley told Fox News Digital. “Miles Young begged for his life. The criminal never should have been in Missouri in the first place.”

“He must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and all criminal illegal aliens must be deported so this tragedy never happens again,” Hawley added.

Court documents obtained by KY3 show alleged premeditation prior to Young’s death.

The suspects used two vehicles to block Young from escape, and tracked his location before carrying out the attack.

A fundraising page was set up for Young following his death, where his family grieved their loss in a post.

“Miles was a compassionate, loving, and kind 15-year-old who brought light to everyone around him,” his family wrote. “He was a big brother, a son, a grandson, and a friend… full of life and always showed care for others.”

“No parent should ever have to outlive and bury their child,” the statement continued.

Unlike many “sanctuary” states and jurisdictions, Missouri law RSMo § 67.307 promotes cooperation with federal immigration officials, and prevents the state from adopting policies that block or limit interaction with ICE or related agencies.

Fox News Digital reached out to Republican Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe, but did not receive a response in time for publication.

Shocking Crime: Man Googles Surveillance Reset after Allegedly Killing Elderly Girlfriend and Dumping Body in Pool

In Florida, a man faces arrest several months after dialing 911 to report his girlfriend’s lifeless body in her swimming pool.

Michael Rowland, aged 50, was taken into custody by the Ocala Police Department on Monday. The charges relate to the death of his 72-year-old girlfriend, Diane German. Rowland had initially contacted emergency services on the morning of December 28, 2025, claiming to have discovered German floating in her pool at her Ocala residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

As detectives delved deeper into the case of the well-known restaurant owner’s demise, they began to find discrepancies in Rowland’s account.

The arrest report, accessed by local ABC station WCJB, details Rowland’s narrative: he claimed to have discovered German in the pool and leapt in to pull her out. Initially, police noted water inside German’s house, which matched his description of events.

Nonetheless, investigators also uncovered an empty, drenched phone case in the garage. German’s phone, reportedly retrieved from Rowland’s van, was said to have been submerged. Yet upon inspection, the phone showed no evidence of water exposure, contradicting Rowland’s testimony.

A closer look at German’s phone revealed that all activity stopped around 9:30 p.m. the previous night, police said. The arrest report notes that Rowland was seen on surveillance cameras arriving at her house around the same time. After 9:30 p.m., German reportedly stopped responding to messages.

When investigators searched Rowland’s phone, they said they found an internet search for how to reset a video surveillance system.

The medical examiner found evidence that German had been strangled before she ended up in the water. Her death was ruled a homicide.

According to reporting by Ocala-based news outlet Ocala StarBanner, German owned the popular Wolfy’s Restaurant after a long career in the restaurant and catering businesses. She lost her husband in 2020 and leaves behind two adult children and a grandchild.

Friends and family told police that she and Rowland had been arguing and were breaking up, according to the arrest report. Police said Rowland denied that it was true.

Rowland was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, on Monday and charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. He will be extradited to Marion County to face charges. Court records did not list his next court date.

Seal’s Unexpected Nap Causes Traffic Delays on Bustling Coastal Highway

0
Drivers passing through Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula were treated to a rare sight after a snoozing seal blocked traffic, delighting motorists despite causing delays.

Authorities were alerted to a unique traffic situation on Point Nepean Road in Dromana, close to Anthony’s Nose beach, around 9 a.m. The commotion was due to a live seal basking in the sun right on the roadway of this popular coastal spot.

Drivers soon realized that the seal, affectionately named “Sammy” by the local community, was calmly napping on the busy road’s left-hand side.

The unexpected visitor caused brief traffic disruptions, with delays lasting up to five minutes as police officers arrived to manage the situation, ensuring Sammy’s safe relocation.

Traffic was temporarily halted in both directions for several hours. Motorists were advised to steer clear of the area, and traffic cones were set up to shield the marine visitor.

By 1 p.m., the seal had been safely moved, and all lanes were reopened to normal traffic flow.

Zoos Victoria’s Marine Response Unit (MRU) responded to the incident.

Sammy has been safely returned to the water, VicTraffic confirmed.

Seals are a common sight along the Mornington Peninsula, however the MRU warns not to approach as they can be dangerous if they feel threatened.

Sammy is a regular roamer along the tourist region, with locals often spotting the seal on adventures out of the water.

Unforgettable Moments: First Tee Augusta Girls Embark on a Magical Journey at The Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Spending a Thursday at The Masters is a dream come true for many, and for a group of four friends from First Tee Augusta, that dream became a reality. Among them was a first-time visitor, eager to experience the prestigious tournament’s opening round.

“It’s been amazing,” said Lacey Tillman, brimming with enthusiasm. “I woke up really excited to be here. I feel a little nervous, but just a bit.”

Brighton Morgan shared similar sentiments, appreciating the welcoming atmosphere. “The Masters is such a friendly place,” Morgan remarked. “I love meeting new people every day; it’s truly a warm environment.”

As they explored Augusta National, the group couldn’t help but soak in the unique ambiance of the iconic venue.

“I don’t know what heaven’s like, but this is as close to heaven as you can get,” one of the friends mused, capturing the magic of the day.

“I would like to get a whole bunch of souvenirs. My mom and grandma asked to get a lot of souvenirs, so I’d like to get those.”

“I’m excited to see some of my favorite golfers. I’m excited to shop.”

First Tee provides so many benefits for the kids, no question about it. But talk to their coach and he’ll tell you he is constantly reminded of why he volunteers.

“Just to see the light come on. And when they hit that first ball, they’re beaming.”

These girls work so hard at First Tee to sharpen their golf skills.

“It’s actually a really fun sport. It’s not easy, but it’s really fun,” said Lacey.

It’s about so much more than golf though. It’s about developing a skillset to carry you through life.

“Just when they engage with each other, show some of the core values such as courtesy, respect, responsibility. And so just to see that, as they grow in the sport.”

And all their hard work is already paying off.

“The First Tee helps me to improve my skills when meeting people. At my church I get nervous when I talk to everybody. At the First Tee I engage in conversations with people.”

Picture perfect weather and a perfect way to gain a greater appreciation for a game that’s teaching these girls so much.

As they go through life, hopefully they can rely on what they learned at the First Tee.

Salt Fork’s Russell Honored as WCIA 3’s Top Athlete of the Week

CATLIN, Ill. (WCIA) — Morgan Russell is dedicating herself beyond regular practice hours to excel in softball.

“I’ve invested a significant amount of effort at home, taking advantage of warm days to practice hitting off the tees,” Russell shared. “Heading to the gym and pitching with my dad catching has significantly improved my skills.”

This dedication has already borne fruit in early 2026. Just last week, Russell achieved an impressive 7-for-9 with 5 RBIs at bat, in addition to striking out nine opponents from the pitcher’s mound.

“Morgan exudes a unique blend of energy and passion that is truly rare,” remarked Kalyn Learnard, head softball coach at Salt Fork. “It’s exciting to see her bring the same enthusiasm she showed last year back to the field this season.”

Russell’s hard work has also earned her eligibility for a $1,500 cash award that will be awarded to one male and one female student by the end of the academic year.

Cheryl Hines’ Surprising Fashion Choice: A Look Back at a Bold Outfit

Cheryl Hines, long celebrated for her Emmy-nominated portrayal in “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” found her world shifting dramatically following the conclusion of the beloved HBO series in 2024. In recent years, her spotlight has been shared, and often overshadowed, by her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s political endeavors and controversies, particularly as he assumed the role of US Secretary of Health and Human Services under Donald Trump’s second administration. Once known for her daring fashion choices on the red carpet, including a particularly revealing dress at an Emmy after-party in 2022, Hines now appears to be rethinking her style.

For decades, Cheryl Hines was simply known for her Emmy-nominated role in “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” but the HBO comedy series ended its long run in 2024, and her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his many scandals overshadowed her fame. As an actor, Hines wore some pretty scandalous outfits, many of which we doubt she’d wear now that her husband is US secretary of health and human services in Donald Trump’s second administration. Among them? The revealing dress Hines wore for an Emmy after-party in 2022.

Hines stepped out in a dark, long dress with a blue sequined pattern that featured cutout details around her chest. Hines’ neckline plunged into her midsection, while spaghetti straps held it together, further highlighting her bust. The detailing along the neckline called for little accessorizing, with Hines keeping things simple with small gold hoop earrings and matching rings. Hines looked confident in her revealing look, taking to Instagram to share it with her fans. The reaction to it was mixed, though.

Cheryl Hines, like many in Hollywood, was traditionally aligned with Democratic ideals. Her marriage to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in 2014 reflected this shared political stance. However, Kennedy’s departure from the Democratic Party in 2023, when he launched an independent bid for the presidency, marked a pivotal shift in both their lives. Now, firmly entrenched in the political right, Hines remains a supportive spouse, subtly adapting her public image to align with their new political reality.

In recent public appearances, Hines has embraced a more conservative wardrobe, reflecting her husband’s political transformation. At the 2025 Oscars, she opted for a classic all-black strapless gown, notable for its elegance and modesty, featuring a knee-length slit that was far from provocative. Similarly, at the opening night of “Les Misérables” at The Kennedy Center in June 2025, Hines chose a long gown that was both understated and sophisticated, offering minimal skin exposure and complemented by subtle detailing along the hemline. This evolution in style marks Hines’s quiet yet clear adaptation to her changed personal and public circumstances.

Cheryl Hines is in her politician’s wife era now

Like many Hollywood stars, Cheryl Hines was a lifelong Democrat with pretty liberal views. And when she married Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in 2014, so was he. He left the party behind in 2023 when he announced he intended to run for president as an independent. A lot has happened since then, and now he’s one of the champions of the right. And Hines has stood by her man, and her fashion choices seem to have adapted accordingly.

For the most part, Hines has opted for more subdued looks, even for Hollywood-related events. At the 2025 Oscars, she went for a classic strapless all-black gown (seen below). While it featured a slit in the skirt, it wasn’t revealing at all, stopping right at the knee. She went for a similar, albeit even more conservative, style for the opening night of “Les Misérables” at The Kennedy Center in June 2025 (seen above). Her long gown showed virtually no skin, and aside from the detailing along the hemline, was pretty plain.

Hines has proved she’s ready to defend her husband, controversies and all. But that doesn’t mean it has been easy. She has faced plenty of backlash, with most of her Instagram posts containing political commentary. Besides, as a Democrat, she also had to come to terms with RFK Jr.’s decision to end his independent campaign and side with Donald Trump. “I was guarded about it. It was complicated,” she said on “The View” in 2025.

Afrika Bambaataa, whose real name was Lance Taylor, was born on April 17, 1957, in the Bronx, New York. A visionary DJ, rapper, and producer, he played a pivotal role in the birth and evolution of hip-hop culture, standing shoulder to shoulder with fellow pioneers like DJ Kool Herc and Grandmaster Flash.

Who was Afrika Bambaataa?

Growing up in the Bronx River Houses, Bambaataa was deeply influenced by his parents, who hailed from Jamaica and Barbados and instilled in him a sense of activism and a love for diverse music. During his youth, he became a “warlord” in the Black Spades gang, a position he rose to amid the challenging backdrop of violence and poverty that marked the South Bronx.

In the early 1970s, seeking to channel the energy of former gang members into something constructive, Bambaataa founded the Universal Zulu Nation. This movement aimed to foster a positive cultural force rooted in peace, unity, love, and creativity, using music and knowledge as its guiding principles.

Planet Rock, which he co-created with Soul Sonic Force in 1982, combined hip-hop and Kraftwerk-inspired electronic influences. The song helped pioneer the electro-funk sound and left an indelible mark on global dance music, especially techno.

Follow-up singles like Looking for the Perfect Beat solidified his image as a hip-hop innovator. Bambaataa was instrumental in bringing hip-hop to a global audience via Zulu Nation chapters, foreign tours, and cultural outreach.

However, his later years were marred by serious claims of child sexual assault that went back decades. He disputed the allegations, resigned from the Zulu Nation in 2016, and faced many civil lawsuits.
