Gigi Hadid Joins Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026 Lineup

0

The renowned Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is ready for a change of scenery.

Scheduled for its grand return in 2026, the iconic runway event will take place in Los Angeles, marking a departure from its traditional New York City spot, as announced by the lingerie giant on July 16.

“This year, we’re taking the show on the road to the birthplace of glamour, stardom, and icons… Los Angeles, California. It’s the City of Angels, after all,” Victoria’s Secret announced on Instagram, highlighting the city’s allure.

Unveiling more excitement, the brand confirmed Gigi Hadid as the first official cast member for the show.

In a playful video announcement, the supermodel exclaimed, “Get in, Angels, we’re going to LA!” sharing the “iconic” development with her fans.

Hadid, 31, made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in 2015, modeling both a sultry firefighter-themed getup and a gorgeous green butterfly-inspired look.

“I think I tried out two or three times before I got it, so you can imagine when I felt when I got my first show,” she said on Instagram last year, looking back at the major moment.

“I’m just so happy for her. She just wanted it so bad … I look back at pictures of that time and the world was so hard on her,” Hadid continued. “I deserved to be there. I continue to come back to this show just so happy for that girl that got the first show, and then also my teenage self who just watched the show.”

Ahead of her Victoria’s Secret catwalk debut, the model was criticized for her runway walk, her figure and the role nepotism may have played in her budding career. (Her mother is “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Yolanda Hadid; her father, Mohamed Hadid, is a luxury real estate developer.)

“No, I don’t have the same body type as other models in shows. No, I don’t think I’m the best at any given shows. Yes, I want to have a unique walk but I also know I have to improve. No, I’m not the first or the last model of my type in this industry,” Hadid wrote on Instagram in 2015.

“You can make up all the reasons you think I am where I am, but really, I’m a hard worker that’s confident in myself, one that came at a time where the fashion industry was ready for a change.”

Continued the style star, “Yes, I have boobs, I have abs, I have a butt, I have thighs, but I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m fitting into the sample sizes. Your mean comments don’t make me want to change my body, they don’t make me want to say no to designers that ask me to be in their shows, and they definitely don’t change the designers’ opinions of me.”

Indeed, following her first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Hadid returned in 2016, 2018, 2024 and 2025. Over the past decade, she’s also covered countless fashion magazines, walked for luxury labels ranging from Chanel to Versace, and become one of the industry’s highest-paid models.

While an exact date for the 2026 VS show hasn’t been announced yet, the event has been held in October in recent years.

Family Caught on Camera Running Out of Restaurant Without Paying

An Orlando restaurant finds itself at the center of a curious incident involving a family of seven who reportedly left without paying after enjoying a lavish meal.

Captured on surveillance cameras, the group relished a sumptuous spread valued at $300 before casually departing @ The Diner, all while allegedly dodging their substantial bill on Sunday.

The Florida-based eatery is now on a mission to track down these suspected dine-and-dashers, who are believed to have vanished during one of the restaurant’s most hectic periods of the day.

In an Instagram post, the restaurant revealed the family ordered a variety of dishes and appeared to be savoring their time there, only to later enact a seemingly well-planned exit in separate stages.

Sharing video evidence of the occurrence, the eatery indicated that it wasn’t until after the family had left that the staff discovered their departure was unpaid, leaving the team in a frantic state to unravel the event.

In the clip, a man wearing a white vest is seen leading the group’s exit, handing another woman in the group car keys as she slips away before pulling up in the getaway car outside.

Moments later, he quickly follows behind with a young boy in tow.

The clip shows the rest of the group remaining at the table, eagerly helping themselves to the extensive spread before another woman and a young girl make their move towards the exit.

The restaurant alleges that one woman remained behind at the table in an apparent attempt to make it seem as though she intended to pay the bill.

After the rest of the group had reached the waiting vehicle, video shows her sitting at the table for a moment, staring pensively, before she too stood up and hurried out, breaking into a sprint as she reached the door.

Strangely, no waiter appeared to notice any suspicious behavior, as staff continued clearing tables seemingly unaware of what was happening.

The restaurant issued a warning to other local establishments in the post, urging them to remain vigilant and watch out for similar situations.

‘Orlando beware!’ reads the caption on the video, accompanied by red exclamation marks.

It appears the restaurant has been unable to catch a break, as the post also notes that this was not the first time they had encountered such behavior, although seeing children involved was something they had never experienced before.

The post has since gone viral, attracting thousands of reactions, with many people expressing sympathy for the restaurant and calling for the family to be identified and held accountable.

Others suggested that the incident should be reported to police if it had not already been.

‘This is stealing, plain and simple,’ one user commented. ‘If you can’t afford to eat out, don’t.’

Another added, ‘Imagine teaching your kids that this is acceptable behavior.’

Some social media users also questioned whether the family had intended to pay before leaving, or whether there could have been a misunderstanding leading up to their apparent dine-and-dash ordeal.

However, the original poster insisted the departure was deliberate and claimed surveillance footage supported their conclusion.

Other comments also urged restaurants to charge up front to avoid any chance of theft recurring.

Dine-and-dash incidents can have a significant financial impact on restaurants, particularly independently owned businesses operating on narrow profit margins.

In some cases, servers fear they will be blamed for unpaid tabs, although labor laws in many jurisdictions restrict employers from deducting such losses from employee wages.

It is unclear whether the company has filed a police report.

The Daily Mail reached out to the restaurant for comment.

Memphis Mother Faces First-Degree Murder Charge After Man Discovered Hiding Under Child’s Bed

A Memphis woman now faces a murder charge after allegedly shooting and killing a man she found concealed beneath her daughter’s bed.

As detailed in an affidavit, Kendra Scott recounted to police, “I found a guy under my child’s bed, and I did what I had to do.”

Authorities identified the victim as Rodderius Morton, discovered on Thursday in Scott’s front yard with a fatal gunshot wound to the back of his head.

A local juvenile reported to police that Scott was shouting, “Who’s at my house?” and knocking on the door before entering the residence, where she ultimately found Morton hiding beneath the child’s bed.

Police say Morton and Scott got into an argument as he left the home, without a weapon, with Scott yelling “Get out of my house, —– !”

A witness told police that Morton came in through the back door of the home after he was invited in. The same witness said they heard a single gunshot as Scott and Morton were on the front porch.

Scott allegedly told this witness in the past if she “sees a boy in my house, I will put a hole in his —,” documents say.

Burger King Ranked Unhealthiest Fast Food by Doctor

The reigning fast-food monarch might be facing an unexpected overthrow.

For fast-food aficionados, this revelation may seem like culinary betrayal, yet a healthcare whistleblower is casting a spotlight on Burger King. Allegations suggest the chain’s flagship menu items, notably the Whopper, are laced with “toxic” and “banned” ingredients, eerily similar to those in Silly Putty.

Attempts to reach Burger King representatives for comment were unsuccessful, as they did not immediately respond to The Post’s inquiries.

Doctor of medicine Paul Saladino, who holds double board certifications, took to Instagram to inform his 3 million plus followers, “Burger King has concealed their food’s ingredients for years, but now we finally have the truth—it’s unbelievable, folks.”

Sitting in one of Burger King’s global outlets, Saladino performed a thorough breakdown of the Whopper’s alleged 85 ingredients. According to 2022 findings, these include various seed oils, processed sugars, and preservatives.

“In the bun, you have things like potassium iodate [which is] banned in Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand,” the influencer revealed, claiming the bread also contains Mono- and diglycerides. He explained that the chemical compound is a “preservative and dough conditioner which causes gut inflammation.”

“It’s not real food guys,” Saladino insisted before putting the King’s patties to the flame.

“They claim the burger is 100% beef cooked on a grill with no seed oils, but then they use a salt & pepper seasoning in the meat which has canola oil,” he said with disgust. “I can’t even.”

Saladino’s scathing review closely trails BK’s fiery “burger wars” with leading competitors McDonald’s and Wendy’s.

The viral food fight challenged industry bigwigs, including Tom Curtis, president of Burger King US and Canada, to scarf down their eatery’s tastiest meaty treat for social media clout. The big business beef, however, ended quietly with no clear winner crowned best.

Wendy’s, unfortunately, was named the No. 1 “least healthy” fast food chain by the World Atlas in 2025, outranking Taco Bell — which was recently fingered as a culprit in the cyclospora outbreak — Mickey D’s and Chick-fil-A. Burger King didn’t even make the top 10 list.

Still, Saladino didn’t mince words while breaking down the “chronic disease-“ and “obesity-“ inducing contents of the hotspot’s chow.

The doc served up a dissecting look into its Royal Chicken Spicy Sandwich, which he alleged contains “120 ingredients,” including “multiple dough conditioners, which can lead to gut issues, silicone dioxide, the nanoparticals of which may be inflammatory in the human gut [and] multiple seed oils.”

Turning his talons towards the poultry itself, Saladino continued, saying, “If that weren’t bad enough, [the patty is a] piece of processed chicken coated in flour and food starches, battered and fried in rancid oxidized seed oils, which have anti-foaming agents that are also found in Silly Putty, like dimethylpolysiloxane.”

“And three different types of sauces, one of which has over 25 different ingredients,” he added. “Guys, Burger King might just be the worst fast food restaurant I’ve ever seen.”

Saladino’s sickened viewers agreed.

“Look at the infinite list of ingredients. If that’s not a lab experiment, what is?,” quipped an irked commenter

“Murder King,” wisecracked another.

“If they don’t care about my health. Then I don’t care about their profits,” spat an equally outraged onlooker, in part, vowing to cease patronizing Burger King, McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Jack in the Box. “Girl, bye!.”

Tragic Flash Floods Claim Lives of Young Woman’s Family Members

0

A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded for a 23-year-old woman when flash floods claimed the lives of her mother, stepfather, and three brothers during a family hike in Utah.

Spencer and Katrina Long, both aged 44, along with their sons Thayne, 13, Gage, 12, and Reid, were swept away by sudden torrential rains while hiking near the Sunglow campground, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to the scene that night following the discovery of a young man’s body in the floodwaters.

Spencer, a respected Provo Fire Captain, and two of his sons were found later that night. Katrina and their remaining son were located the next morning.

Lydia Vernon, the biological daughter and sister of the victims, was absent during the ill-fated outing. She now confronts the harrowing reality of moving forward without five cherished family members, as noted on a GoFundMe page.

While Lydia, a recent nursing school graduate of Murray State University, tries to grieve her family, she has also been faced with sudden financial burdens, the fundraiser stated.

As of Monday morning, more than $200,000 had been raised to help her fund funeral, housing, counseling, and educational expenses, among other costs.

The tight-knit community also came together to welcome Lydia home, as several people held up American flags and lined the street of the family’s home in Mona, emotional footage revealed.

Firetrucks, an ambulance, police cars, and several fire department vehicles were parked outside the home.

A large US flag was also attached to a fire truck ladder and raised in the air over the home, the clip showed.

Smaller American flags were placed in the front yard to honor the late family.

Lydia’s surviving family has also taken to social media to share their support for her during this difficult time.

‘Our family is devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of our son, Captain Spencer Long, his wife, Katrina, and their sons Reid, Thayne, and Gage,’ Wendi Long, Spencer’s mother, wrote on Facebook.

‘They were taken in a flash flood near Sunglow Campground. Their daughter, Lydia, survives and needs our love and support.’

Wendi further detailed that Spencer was her and her husband’s eldest son, and someone ‘we all looked up to’.

‘Spencer served as a captain with Provo Fire & Rescue and brought to that role decades of hands-on experience as a wildland firefighter, paramedic, and search and rescue. He answered the call to serve, to protect, and to teach others,’ she said of her late son.

Wendi remembered her daughter-in-law as the ‘heart of their home’, and a successful cofounder.

After news broke of their deaths, the business shared that Katrina ‘led with kindness, grace, and unwavering compassion’ in her role.

And their three sons appeared to follow in Spencer and Katrina’s footsteps, with Reid recently returning home from a mission in Colombia that he went on with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), Wendi revealed.

She said that Reid, whom Katrina shared with her former husband Joshua Vernon, ‘carried a deep love for his church and calling’.

Meanwhile, Thayne, the eldest biological child that Spencer and Katrina shared, had his own business at the age of 13.

According to his grandmother, Thayne ran Juab Detailing, a local car detailing company.

He also enjoyed hockey, boxing, and spending time outdoors, Wendi shared.

Gage, the youngest of the children, also loved the outdoors and playing hockey. He also ‘struggled with his diabetes but he never let it get him down and always had a smile on his face,’ she added.

Maria Bartiromo’s Sharp Question Signals Waning Patience with Trump on Fox News

0

Known for her alignment with MAGA views, Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo raised a crucial question regarding Iran’s ability to attack American service members, despite President Trump’s past claims of having ‘obliterated’ the Iranian military forces.

On her Sunday show, Bartiromo discussed the issue with Victoria Coates, a former national security advisor. This came after a deadly Iranian missile strike hit a military base in Jordan on Friday, resulting in the deaths of two American soldiers. In a separate incident on Saturday, a third American soldier lost his life to shrapnel during the controlled detonation of an Iranian drone in Iraq.

Bartiromo expressed her confusion, stating, ‘CENTCOM has indicated that there will be significant retaliation, but I am puzzled by Iran’s ability to execute such attacks and continue to provoke both American and Gulf country military installations.

‘This is particularly perplexing since the US has been said to have obliterated Iran’s military power, a point the president frequently emphasizes.’

In response, Coates admitted that while Iran’s military is significantly weakened, they have reduced their missile launches from a hundred per day to merely ten, indicating a serious degradation of their capabilities.

She said: ‘There have been a number of days where they haven’t fired off anything, and they haven’t targeted Israel for months now.

‘So I think their capabilities are lessened, but they’re not zero, and that’s the important thing. They are a nuisance.’

US Central Command announced on Sunday night that forces began firing at Iran at 7pm EST, after a soldier was confirmed killed at a base in Northern Iraq.

CENTCOM vowed to ‘continue degrading Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz.’

Speaking with reporters on Sunday night, Trump said he feels ‘very badly’ about the American fatalities.

‘But you know, those great patriots were out there fighting [so] that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,’ he said.

‘Iran has been very, very badly damaged,’ the commander-in-chief continued. ‘They’ve lost everything almost militarily… We control the Strait; they don’t control anything.

‘So we’ll see what happens, but we hit them very hard again tonight, and we did that in honor of the…  three great patriots.’

American forces have already devastated Iranian missile depots, drones and air defenses in a barrage of airstrikes over the weekend, as the US military promised ‘swift punishment’ for the deaths of two service members.

Those US strikes concluded at 11.30pm on Saturday and were targeted at the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces responsible for the fatal attack on US assets in Jordan on Friday.

But on Sunday, CENTCOM announced that a third service member was then killed during a ‘controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone’ in Northern Iraq during action on Saturday.

On Monday those killed in the attack in Jordan were identified as Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas.

In addition to the two fatalities, one service member is missing in action, and four others were medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals in the attack.

The troops have since been discharged, CENTCOM said in a statement on Saturday.  The U.S. military has said the total number of deaths in the war with Iran is 17.

Iranian authorities said at least 50 people have been killed and more than 500 wounded in US strikes in the past three weeks, including eight killed in a strike on a bridge on Friday.

People working on ships, as well as foreign workers and others in Gulf nations, Israel and Lebanon have also perished in the conflict.

Tragic Shooting Near Lincoln Park Bar Claims One Life

CHICAGO (WLS) — According to Chicago police, a man lost his life following a violent altercation in Lincoln Park late Sunday evening.

The incident unfolded around 11:43 p.m. along the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

Authorities stated that the confrontation erupted near a local bar, during which an assailant shot a 30-year-old man.

The victim, identified as Malik McCorkle, sustained several gunshot wounds and was rushed to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A suspect has been apprehended, with charges expected to follow, police reported.

Last month, another shooting happened in the same area. A 39-year-old woman was shot outside a bar.

Marc Kramer who lives nearby was coming home Thursday night when he saw large crowds outside a nightclub near Webster and Lincoln Avenue.

He called the police, knowing a problem was imminent. Twenty minutes later, shots were fired.

“There were people on the street, in the middle of the street drunk, there was a crowd gathering,” Kramer said. “I called the police and it’s been a regular occurrence around here.”

Neighbors are getting fed up as this is the second shooting in this area the past few months.

In June, a 39-year-old woman was also shot just down the street at Belden and Lincoln to which
Alderman Timmy Knudsen said there would be additional patrols in the area.

“The alderman is aware of it, police are aware of it and it’s just gotten worse,” Kramer said.

“At this point, I think some action needs to be taken,” John Lowe, who lives nearby, said. “I think our alderperson needs to start looking at pulling some liquor licenses.”

Lowe has lived here for 30 years. He said some of these problem bars should have their licenses revoked, given the danger they’re bringing to the neighborhood.

“Some of the bars and taverns around here are great,” Lowe said. “They’re really good and really responsible. Other ones… it’s a problem.”

“Causing crime, it’s causing disturbances late at night. It’s not conducive to the neighborhood,” Kramer said.

Alderman Timmy Knudsen said in a statement in part, “Since earlier this summer, my office has led an aggressive push for further restrictions on late night bars on this stretch of Lincoln Avenue. I am hopeful and confident that the Department of Business Affairs

Burnham Extends Surprising Manchester Invite to Trump in First Phone Call

0

In what was probably one of the more awkward phone calls in recent political history, Andy Burnham spoke with Donald Trump today. This conversation marked Burnham’s first interaction with the US President since he was appointed as the United Kingdom’s seventh Prime Minister in just ten years.

Burnham quickly got down to business after stepping into Downing Street on Monday, making this introductory call to President Trump one of his initial engagements as the new head of the Labour government.

Given Burnham’s past outspoken criticism of Trump, the dialogue between them might have lacked warmth. Burnham has never been shy about voicing his opinions regarding Trump’s policies and rhetoric.

The tension has not been one-sided, as Trump has openly referred to Burnham as “extremely liberal” and dismissed him as merely “the mayor of a town,” minimizing his past role.

Despite any lingering tensions, Burnham extended an invitation to Trump during their Monday conversation, urging him to visit Manchester. This is where Burnham previously held office as mayor and where he plans to set up his ‘No10 North’ initiative. The invitation comes with the prospect of next year’s G20 summit taking place there.

The UK holds the presidency of the G20 summit in 2027 and Mr Burnham revealed for the first time that it will be hosted in Manchester during the call, according to The Times.

This is despite Mr Burnham having once suggested the ‘highly divisive’ Mr Trump wouldn’t be welcome in the North West city.

In April 2019, during Mr Trump’s first term as US President, Mr Burnham said ‘many different communities’ in Britain would be feeling ‘deeply unsettled’ by the American leader’s upcoming state visit to the UK.

In 2021, on the day of the US Capitol attack on 6 January that year, Mr Burnham claimed UK politicians should be ‘ashamed’ of dealing with Mr Trump

‘There are many people who live in this country who will be deeply troubled by this visit,’ Mr Burnham said at the time.

The then-Greater Manchester mayor added that he ‘wouldn’t welcome’ a visit to Manchester by Mr Trump as it would be ‘highly divisive and cause real protests on our streets’.

But, in comments to the Manchester Evening News, Mr Burnham did appear to perform a partial U-turn on his 2017 declaration that he would refuse to meet Mr Trump at all.

Mr Burnham said in 2019 that he would talk to Mr Trump, but only to call him out.

In further criticism of Mr Trump in 2021, on the day of the US Capitol attack on 6 January that year, Mr Burnham claimed UK politicians should be ‘ashamed’ of dealing with US President.

‘Any UK politician who gave Trump the time of day should be ashamed right now,’ Mr Burnham posted on Twitter at the time.

Last month, when Mr Burnham looked set to replace Keir Starmer as PM following his victory in the Makerfield by-election, Mr Trump labelled Mr Burnham as ‘extremely liberal’.

Asked what he knew about Mr Burnham, the US President said: ‘I don’t know, I think I see that he was, I guess, the mayor of a town.

‘I hear he’s extremely liberal, extremely, so that means he probably won’t open up the North Sea.’

But Mr Trump appears to have since been persuaded that Mr Burnham is likely to soften Labour’s stance on North Sea oil and gas.

The new PM has not confirmed reports that he is considering approving new fossil fuel production, particularly in the Rosebank and Jackdaw fields.

But, in a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, Mr Trump claimed Mr Burnham had said he would.

Mr Trump said: ‘The People of Aberdeen, in Scotland, are dancing in the streets because the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has stated that he will be opening up, all the way, the invaluable North Sea Oil!’

The president, a vocal supporter of fossil fuels, said further drilling in the North Sea would ‘make the United Kingdom, from a Poverty Stricken Disaster, to one of the Richest Countries anywhere in the World’.

In his latest attack on wind power, Mr Trump suggested the UK would ‘move the old and horrible looking windmills, which loom over and destroy the City of Aberdeen’.

Earlier on Sunday, Labour’s deputy leader Lucy Powell said Mr Burnham would stick to the party’s manifesto commitments on the North Sea while pursuing a ‘more pragmatic approach’.

Labour’s 2024 manifesto, which Mr Burnham has promised to honour, said the party would not issue new North Sea licences, arguing they would ‘not take a penny off bills’ or improve energy security while accelerating climate change.

But the incoming prime minister is said to be ‘open-minded’ about the policy.

He could claim not to be breaking the manifesto pledge by approving projects at the Jackdaw and Rosebank fields, where licences have already been granted, while still not issuing any new licences.

Ms Powell would not say whether Mr Burnham would back more drilling, but told the BBC she was not expecting a ‘change of policy’ but ‘more a change of emphasis’.

Prior to becoming PM, Mr Burnham indicated he would be willing to disagree with Mr Trump but would try to ‘meet him where he’s at’ while ‘respecting the office’.

‘I’ll just meet him where he’s at,’ Mr Burnham told former footballer and podcast host Gary Lineker last week.

‘And, you know, I like to think I’ve got some personality myself and I’ll just, you know, I’ll deal with him very upfront in the same way. I think he likes people to deal with him.

‘He described Manchester as some town when he was referring to my position. And I might have to, you know what Mancs are like, Gary, that won’t have gone down fantastically well in the city I used to represent.

‘But yeah, you know, it’s about being yourself, isn’t it? It’s about respecting the office, the relationship, the UK-US relationship.

‘But, you know, where you disagree, do it, but do it in a way that is kind of meeting him where he’s at.’
