Teresa Giudice’s Daughter Milania Speaks Out on Assault Arrest: Exclusive Update

0

Milania Giudice, daughter of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, has spoken out for the first time about her recent arrest for assault. Addressing the incident, she remarked, “Sh-t happens in life,” illustrating her candid approach to the situation.

In a TikTok video released on Monday, the 20-year-old shared her perspective, saying, “It is what it is, you gotta learn from it. Just become a better person and talk about it.” These words reflect a mature attitude toward personal growth and accountability.

Milania, a familiar face in the Bravo universe, confessed that the arrest happened during a challenging period of her life back in May. “I was not in a good area in my life,” she admitted, hinting at a turbulent phase that preceded the incident.

She continued by explaining, “That happens, I’ve been through a lot in life and some other stuff happened to me.” Milania also addressed misconceptions about her life, saying the public may not know the full story: “Just because you guys think you know everything that happens in my life, you just really don’t.”

Commencing her video, Milania put an end to circulating rumors, clarifying that the supposed mugshot of her is not making rounds on social media. With this, she invites her followers to look beyond sensationalized headlines and buzz.

“I have one thing to say, I’m going to save the rest for tomorrow. But that ‘mugshot’ of me, if you guys really believe. That’s AI,” she insisted.

“I ate down in my mugshot,” the University of Tampa student added. “I looked fire. I mean, nothing to be proud of.”

Milania ended her video by reiterating that she “can’t believe” her fans think the mugshot photo is real.

“But that’s all I have to say for tonight,” she concluded.

Page Six confirmed Milania was arrested on May 14 for domestic violence, and charged with one count of simple assault, per a press release from Montville Township Chief of Police Andrew Caggiano.

The reality star set to appear in court on May 19, but apparently no plea was entered.

If you or someone you know is affected by any of the issues raised in this story, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1.800.799.SAFE (7233) or text START to 88788.

US Military Lends Support to Venezuela in Earthquake Aftermath Efforts

0

Efforts by the U.S. military are underway to aid Venezuela, which was hit hard by lethal earthquakes last week.

“Under the orders of the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), military assets from the U.S. continue to arrive in Venezuela today as part of the ongoing earthquake relief mission that the Venezuelan government requested, coordinated by the U.S. State Department,” SOUTHCOM announced in a press statement on Sunday.

SOUTHCOM highlighted that their operations remain entirely self-reliant, with personnel executing their mission without any dependence on local resources, striving relentlessly to provide essential aid to Venezuelans.

On Sunday, Jorge Rodríguez, President of the Venezuelan National Assembly, reported that the death toll from the earthquakes had escalated to 1,450.

“Marines on the ground, saving lives,” SOUTHCOM declared in a Sunday post on X.

“U.S. Marines in Venezuela are supporting U.S. and international first responders during search and rescue efforts in areas hardest-hit by the earthquakes,” the post, which included several photos, continued.

Revealing the Untold Marital Stories of Country Music Sensation Sam Hunt

0

It’s been a long stretch since fans of Sam Hunt last enjoyed a fresh album—2,274 days, to be exact. The wait for new music has been a topic of discussion and anticipation within the music industry and among his fans.

Hunt’s previous album, “Southside,” was released in 2020 and marks one of only two LPs in his discography. Despite his enduring popularity, his fans have had little new music to celebrate. The last time Hunt released a single, “Liberty,” was way back in November 2024.

Hopes were rekindled when Hunt embarked on an 18-date tour last year, sparking speculation that new tracks might be on the horizon. However, the tour concluded without any new releases, leaving fans wondering what’s next.

Considering Hunt’s impressive achievement of amassing over 16 billion all-time global streams— a billion of which are solely attributed to his megahit “Body Like a Back Road”—his absence from the studio is puzzling. Nashville, the heart of the country music scene, is undoubtedly buzzing with questions about his next move.

So, what has kept this chart-topping artist away from releasing new music?

Hunt, 41, has been living a slower life. The five-time Grammy-nominee’s posts have given fans a glimpse of his life away from the spotlight: fishing, bird hunting with his father and spending time with his three children, Lucy Louise, Lowry Lee and Weyman Allen, who he shares with his wife Hannah Fowler.

His wife Hannah Lee Fowler, 40, is said to be behind Hunt’s decision to ease up on his music career, with one insider telling the Daily Mail that she offered him somewhat of an ultimatum

It is Fowler, 40, who is said to be behind Hunt’s decision to ease up on his music career, with one insider telling the Daily Mail that she offered him somewhat of an ultimatum.

‘He is a homebody and loves his family, his farm but he also loves music. It’s been a long-time point of contention that those two things clash for Hannah,’ one insider told us. ‘The label got an EP and some singles out of him recently but touring heavily is probably not on the table for right now.’

Fowler’s concerns are not arbitrary. For the couple, who married in 2017, have had a tumultuous relationship, punctuated by a brief divorce filing in 2022. Fowler cited ‘inappropriate marital conduct.’ They never went ahead with the split, instead reconciling and welcoming their first child, daughter Lucy, just weeks later.

But sources claim Fowler has ‘always had a tight grip on [Hunt]’ even before allegations of his infidelity.

The two are believed to have met sometime in 2008 when Hunt was playing football for the University of Alabama Birmingham. Theirs was a rocky start, with the couple on and off until it finally ended when he moved to Nashville to kickstart his music career.

After the immense success of his debut album – named after Fowler’s hometown of Montevallo, Alabama – he told Entertainment Tonight how he flew to Hawaii where she was living seven times before finally convincing her to move to Nashville with him.

‘I had never visited Montevallo, but right before I left to go to Nashville, I met a girl from there,’ he told E! News in 2014. ‘A lot of the experiences I had with her and the relationship I had with her, that inspired a lot of the song writing on the album.’

After another brief off-again stint, Hunt announced in January of 2017 he had proposed to Fowler in Israel ‘by the Sea of Galilee.’ On par with their relationship, the proposal followed a fight the two had gotten into, he said.

‘Something came up that irritated her and I realized this may mess up my big plan to ask her to marry me that night, and it kind of agitated me more about this issue,’ he said. ‘It turned into this kind of fight that, fortunately, led to the perfect opportunity to ask her to marry me. So this little altercation we had actually worked out. It was a special moment.’

But their marriage, just months later, didn’t end the early alleged volatility – it seemingly got worse.

Sources claim there was always talk of his alleged promiscuity – something Hunt himself has alluded to in his lyrics. ‘I’ve gone off the deep end, company I’m keeping is messing me up/ The good girls at home sleeping, while I’m out creeping ’til the sun comes up,’ he sings on Single for the Summer.

In 2019 he was arrested for DUI in East Nashville after officers caught him swerving in and out of lanes and driving on the wrong side of the road. He pleaded guilty to two counts of DUI and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail with all time suspended except for 48 hours. He also lost his license for a year, had an interlock installed in his vehicle and attended an alcohol safety course.

Six years later, Hunt was arrested once again in Tennessee, this time for speeding and violating an interlock device. He was jailed and released the same day on $1,500 bond. He did not face any charges.

‘Sam’s wife had to deal with him getting caught driving drunk,’ one industry insider said of the incident. ‘So would you want your husband to ever do anything again?’

Hunt has often addressed his wife’s support in his lyrics, in particular how Fowler struggled with being a public figure.

On his 2020 single Locked Up he sang: ‘I knew you were down for me back when we met / But I didn’t know how down for me you’d really get / When you picked up my pieces and my only call.’

He sang about their earlier troubles on Drinkin’ Too Much, which was released two days before their engagement was announced in 2017.

‘I never wanted to be a heartbreaker / Turn your sisters and their friends into matchmakers,’ he sings on the track. ‘I know you think my dreams came true / Since you been gone, singin’ these songs are just something to do / The only dream I ever had was you.’

So it’s perhaps no surprise that Fowler would have reservations about him hitting the road.

‘Sam is literally one of the nicest humans in country music,’ said our insider. ‘Unfortunately, he’s in love with someone who has basically made it clear that if he loves her and wants her, he needs to take a step back from the music and touring and focus on her.

‘When he goes back on tour, he could be back to his shenanigans. She wants to keep him home to keep an eye on him.’

The decision is a sucker punch for many Country Music execs who feel the genre needs Hunt.

‘What’s missing from the genre right now? It’s Sam Hunt in a significant way. If Sam Hunt walked in right now and did the exact thing he did ten years ago, he would save Country Music,’ a second insider said.

Another added: ‘Sam started the whole content Golden Age. He was the first person in Country that was making highly-produced content that was strictly for social media and documenting touring in a big way. That lit the whole industry on fire and now he couldn’t be further away from that.’

Further away in both a figurative and literal sense, with Sam seemingly hiding out in his four-bedroom cabin outside of Nashville.

Hunt’s fans and the industry are in alignment in wanting more from him. His most recent post on Father’s Day left many wondering if new music was finally coming.

Even the caption, ‘Blackberries growing on the property line, staining little hands that look like mine,’ led many to believe he was teasing lyrics for an upcoming song.

‘This is what you call RICH IN LIFE. I’m seeing and hearing new music inspiration,’ one comment read.

Another added: ‘I’m hoping this means new song, which means new album, which means new tour.’

But unfortunately for fans, an industry exec has said there are ‘no rumblings of new music.’

‘He’s taken a back step,’ they said. ‘He’s taking time to focus on his family. I haven’t heard of anything imminent but he’s the kind of artist that could surprise us with something at any moment.’

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Hunt for comment.

Breakthrough Pancreatic Cancer Drug Offers New Hope for Advanced Stage Patients

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A groundbreaking experimental drug is offering a new glimmer of hope for patients battling pancreatic cancer—even those with advanced conditions.

Clinical trials have unveiled the potential of this new treatment, which not only extends the survival time of patients considerably—almost doubling it—but achieves this with significantly fewer side effects compared to traditional chemotherapy. This promising drug could soon become available at Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Known as daraxonrasib, this drug is being hailed as a major breakthrough in the fight against pancreatic cancer. According to doctors Ricardo Bello and Jose Trevino at the Massey Center, it represents a significant advancement in treatment options.

Despite pancreatic cancer accounting for only around 3% of all cancer cases in the United States, it stands as the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths, underscoring the critical need for more effective treatments.

Daraxonrasib works by directly targeting and combating a specific mutation in the ‘KRAS’ gene, a mutation known to spearhead the growth of cancerous tumors.

“About 90% of patients, even 95% of patients have mutations in the RAS pathway, in that family of genes,” Dr. Bello said. “But it was considered to be un-druggable.”

But a clinical trial showed patients’ life expectancies nearly doubled, from 7 months on chemo to 13 months with daraxonrasib.

It’s also in pill form, which means patients could administer it at home and avoid the injections for chemotherapy.

“This is giving hope where were, to some degree, hopeless,” Dr. Trevino said. “Patients who have already been treated with systemic therapy, that are already metastatic, were considered hopeless. That there was nothing more we could do. And now, this drug is giving promise.”

Daraxonrasib has not been approved by the FDA yet. The findings from the clinical trial are under review. The Massey Center is working on getting the medication for eligible patients while they wait for approval.

You can learn more about daraxonrasib and the results of the clinical trial here.

Comcast Restructures: NBCUniversal Spin-Off Ushers in New Chapter

0

Comcast announced on Monday its decision to divide its operations into two distinct companies. This strategic move will spin off NBCUniversal and Sky into a separate media entity, while Comcast retains its broadband and wireless services under its original corporate umbrella.

In an official statement, the company highlighted that this tax-free spinoff will empower each entity to independently drive its strategy, invest in growth opportunities, and enhance shareholder value.

Following the news, Comcast’s shares surged by $4.85, marking a 21% increase to reach $28.02 during premarket trading.

This reorganization will establish NBCUniversal as a standalone media and entertainment company. It will encompass Universal theme parks and networks such as NBC and Sky. Meanwhile, the assets remaining under Comcast will include brands like Xfinity, Xfinity Wireless, and Comcast Business.

The move follows earlier announcements from November 2024 when Comcast revealed plans to separate various cable networks like USA, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and Golf Channel, as well as CNBC and MSNBC, into a new company. Additionally, Fandango, the movie ticketing platform, and Rotten Tomatoes, the popular movie rating site, were also part of this spinoff plan.

Like other cable companies, Comcast in recent years has shifted its business emphasis away from traditional cable toward streaming and other sources of revenue, such as its movie studio, theme parks and home wireless and internet services.

Leadership of the new companies

Comcast co-CEO Mike Cavanagh will become the CEO of NBCUniversal. Comcast’s former chief financial officer, Michael Angelakis, will become the CEO of Comcast following completion of the separation. In the interim, he will serve as a strategic adviser.

Comcast chairman and co-CEO Brian Roberts will continue to be actively involved in the leadership of Comcast and NBCUniversal, working in partnership with the CEOs of both companies.

Comcast will retain a 19.9% ownership stake in NBCUniversal, the statement said. The transaction is expected to be completed in about 12 months.

Emma D’Arcy Reveals the ‘House of the Dragon’ Scene They Secretly Feared Filming

By now, whether they watch HBO’s House of the Dragon consistently or not, most people are aware that Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, affectionately known as Jace (played by Harry Collett), met his demise by the conclusion of the Season 3 premiere. However, an essential character was still unaware of this tragic news at the start of Season 3, Episode 2: his mother, Rhaenyra, portrayed by Emma D’Arcy.

**Caution: This contains spoilers for House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 2, available now on HBO Max**

In the opening sequence of Season 3, Episode 2, Baela Targaryen, played by Bethany Antonia, returns to Dragonstone bearing Jace’s lifeless form. She leads a solemn procession of dragonpit workers as they carry Jace through the castle, finally stopping outside Rhaenyra’s chambers. Upon arrival, Rhaenyra inquires about the battle, to which Baela replies with a stoic, “’Tis won.”

When Rhaenyra sets eyes on her eldest son’s body, she seems to drift into a state of shock. Instinctively, she reverts to motherly concern, gently asking, “Jace, what have you done?” Her court stands by, watching as she questions his lifeless form as if he were merely a child in minor trouble. Overcome with grief, she struggles to mentally confront the grim truth before her.

“It’s quite a challenge, to be honest. That scene was the one I truly dreaded in the series,” Emma D’Arcy confided to DECIDER. “Part of the difficulty stems from forming deep bonds with our fellow cast members, and each time a character’s death scene is filmed, it feels like losing a colleague from our group.”

D’Arcy also was keenly aware of the layers that could be found in the line, “What have you done?”

“It’s interesting hearing you say that line, ‘What have you done?’” they said. “I was cognizant of wanting to actually ask the question as opposed to it becoming kind of rhetorical. I just wanted it to sort of live and for her to hope for an answer because I think that that denial is the most honest.”

“I think that I think that that denial communicates how kind of intolerable the sort of dawning reality is.”

Helping her in the scene was co-star Harry Collett, who did stand in as a corpse for the entire day of shooting. Collett told DECIDER there were discussions about using a dummy, but he wanted to be there.

“It was hard, and Emma [D’Arcy] did an amazing performance. All of the reactions you see in [the] room are all very real,” Collett said. “I think there’s a scene where there’s a clip where Bethany [Antonia] actually has a tear rolling down her face, and that’s real. That’s just a real reaction to Emma’s performance.”

D’Arcy returned the compliment. “Harry Collett was totally beautiful on the day, and it’s a funny thing to have to do,” they said. “He gave me a very wide berth in the morning, and we hadn’t really spoken and we hadn’t talked. We hadn’t planned how to sort of approach it, but he caught me briefly at lunch and sort of said, you know, ‘I didn’t know, like the best way, but I just thought I’d give you sort of some space or whatever.’”

“I’m always just deeply touched by the sort of beautiful intuition and grace that actors have and the respect that we give each other,” D’Arcy continued. “He’s an ace person. He’s a really special person. I was very relieved when that day was over, actually.”

Collett was ironically relieved for a different reason. He almost fell asleep.

“Obviously I couldn’t do anything, could I? Because I was just dead,” Collett said. “I mean, we got to the end of the day where they were doing like wide shots and I was trying not to fall asleep because I had my eyes closed the whole day.”

“I was like, if I snore, I can’t snore being a corpse, can I?” he said. “While Emma’s doing this incredible performance, I can’t just go and snore.”

Luckily, he stayed awake, albeit dead.

House of the Dragon will return next Sunday, July 5 at 9 PM ET on HBO and HBO Max.

Comcast to Restructure: NBC and Sky Set for Spinoff in Two-Company Strategy

0

Comcast revealed on Monday its strategic decision to divide its media and technology sectors into two separate publicly traded entities. This move is a response to the shifting landscape in the entertainment industry, where more consumers are turning away from traditional TV packages in favor of streaming services.

The company’s plan involves a tax-free spinoff, which will split NBCUniversal and Sky into an independent media company. Meanwhile, the core of Comcast will focus on its broadband, wireless, and business services operations. This initiative marks a significant restructuring, aiming to better align with the evolving market demands, as per the company’s official statement.

The closing of this transaction is anticipated to occur within a year, pending necessary regulatory and board approvals.

Investor confidence surged with the announcement, propelling Comcast shares to rise by as much as 26% during early trading sessions. Once the transaction is finalized, Comcast shareholders will hold shares in both the newly formed media company and Comcast’s core business.

Comcast shareholders will own stock in both companies once the transaction is completed.

Comcast said it expects to retain a stake of up to 19.9% in NBCUniversal for up to one year following the separation before gradually monetizing the holding.

“This is a very exciting day for our company,” Comcast CEO Brian L. Roberts said in the press release.

“The transaction we are announcing will unlock a more entrepreneurial management approach and open up a multitude of new opportunities for each business.”

Under the shakeup, Mike Cavanagh will become CEO of NBCUniversal, while former Comcast Chief Financial Officer Michael Angelakis will return to lead Comcast as CEO following completion of the separation.

Tragic Skydiving Plane Crash in France Claims 11 Lives, Family Members Witness to Devastating Scene

0

In a tragic incident that unfolded on Sunday, a skydiving plane crashed shortly after takeoff in France, resulting in the deaths of all 11 people on board, authorities have confirmed.

The accident involved a Pilatus PC-6, a single-engine aircraft that went down not long after departing from Nancy-Essey Airfield located near the northeastern city of Nancy. Those who lost their lives included five skydiving instructors, five novice jumpers, and the pilot.

French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez reported that some relatives of the victims were present and witnessed the plane’s descent from the sky.

“Several family members of the victims saw the aircraft fall with their own eyes,” Nuñez stated, highlighting the profound emotional distress and psychological impact on those who witnessed the tragedy.

Meurthe-et-Moselle Prefect Yves Séguy said the aircraft suffered an apparent malfunction and “fell almost vertically,” narrowly missing a populated area after crashing roughly 300 yards from the runway.

Flight-tracking data from Flightradar24 showed the aircraft banked left after takeoff before disappearing from radar less than a minute into the flight.

France’s Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA), the country’s aviation accident investigation agency, said on X that it had opened a safety investigation into the crash involving the Pilatus PC-6. The agency said four investigators and one first-response investigator were dispatched to the scene.

Authorities have not determined what caused the crash, and officials cautioned that it is too early to speculate while investigators examine the wreckage.

Nancy Mayor Mathieu Klein called the crash “an immense shock that has plunged the Greater Nancy area into mourning” in a Facebook post, offering condolences to the victims’ families and those who witnessed the tragedy.

Klein said he visited the crash site alongside regional officials and praised the “remarkable professionalism and commitment” of rescue, medical and security personnel. He also announced that Greater Nancy would open a gathering space at Marcel Picot Stadium where residents could pay their respects and show solidarity with the victims’ families.

The Meurthe-et-Moselle prefecture said it activated a public information center Sunday afternoon to assist victims’ families and said the hotline would reopen Monday morning as recovery efforts and the investigation continue.

Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot described the crash as the country’s deadliest skydiving aviation accident in roughly three decades.

Alex Murdaugh Retrial and Motions Set for Monday Hearing

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A pivotal hearing in Lexington County scheduled for Monday is set to outline the proceedings for Alex Murdaugh’s upcoming retrial.

The hearing will be a platform for attorneys to discuss the retrial’s schedule and deliberate over several new motions presented by the defense. These motions include requests for further DNA analysis, access to a laptop, and a plea for Murdaugh to be unshackled during court appearances.

Murdaugh was found guilty in 2023 for the murders of his wife, Margaret, and son, Paul. The crimes occurred on June 7, 2021, at their Colleton County estate, leading to his life imprisonment sentence.

The former attorney from Hampton County has consistently proclaimed his innocence in the case, expressing his desire to vindicate himself from the onset of the original murder trial.

In a significant turn of events, the South Carolina Supreme Court overturned Murdaugh’s conviction this past May. The decision was influenced by allegations of jury tampering involving Rebecca Hill, the former Colleton County Clerk of Court, which raised concerns about Murdaugh’s right to a fair trial.

The allegations prompted a series of appeals by Murdaugh’s legal team. During a January 2024 evidentiary hearing, former Chief Justice Jean Toal individually questioned jurors about whether they heard or were influenced by comments from Hill before reaching a verdict.

Toal ultimately denied Murdaugh’s request for a new trial, finding that although one juror may have felt pressure, the juror testified under oath that her verdict was her own.

Murdaugh’s attorneys appealed that decision, and the state’s high court later agreed to hear the case. On May 13, the Supreme Court granted Murdaugh a new trial.

Ahead of Monday’s hearing, the defense filed several motions, asking that Murdaugh be allowed to appear unshackled during court proceedings when media are present and be given access to a laptop to assist in his defense, citing his background as an attorney.

The defense is also seeking to move the trial out of Colleton County and the surrounding 14th Judicial Circuit, arguing that extensive media coverage, documentaries, and public discussion have made it difficult to seat an impartial jury locally.

Murdaugh is scheduled to appear before Lexington County Judge Debra McCaslin, who is expected to address pretrial matters and potential timelines for the retrial.

You can watch a live stream of Monday’s hearing in this story and on our free streaming platform, WCBD+, available on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Samsung devices.
