Mind Over Matter: Child Prodigy Reveals Secret UFO Pilot Training

0

A man who claims to have been a former gifted child has recently revealed an extraordinary story, asserting that he was taken out of public school and secretly trained by the government to harness psychic abilities for military and UFO-related purposes.

Speaking on the American Alchemy podcast, Jordan Jozak said he spent years being pulled out of class by psychologists before being transferred to a specialized facility in western New York where he claimed he underwent experiments involving remote viewing, altered states of consciousness and attempts to control technology using the mind.

Identified only as Jozak, he contends that his recruitment was not merely about nurturing gifted children. Instead, the intention was to pinpoint those with exceptional cognitive talents and prepare them for future involvement in highly classified projects.

Jozak claims his journey began when he was inducted through the Gifted and Talented Education program, or GATE, after scoring remarkably high in specific academic categories during his childhood.

“I was part of the GATE classroom and drank the pink drink,” Jozak recounted to podcast host Jesse Michels, suggesting that this was just the beginning of a deeper, more complex training process. He astonishingly added that he was taught to pilot UFOs using only his mind.

The GATE program was established by state education departments, starting in California in the 1960s. It aimed to offer an advanced curriculum tailored for students who demonstrated high academic potential.

Many former students have claimed online that they were actually part of a secret CIA initiative to test the supernatural abilities of children with above-average intelligence. However, Jozak did not name the CIA as being involved.

Jozak said the memories of the experiments remained buried for years before resurfacing through severe flashbacks and nightmares in 2023, when he recalled being in labs.

The claims, which have not been independently verified, are among the most unusual to emerge from the growing world of UFO and consciousness-related whistleblower accounts.

According to Jozak, his story began around 2004 and 2005 when he was tested through his school’s gifted education program in Springville, New York.

He said it started around age nine when psychologists became interested in his ability to visualize information and solve certain academic tasks in unusual ways.

‘I could picture a word in my mind and then break apart the letters piece by piece,’ Jozak said.  ‘One of the things that these psychologists were fascinated about was my ability to spell because I was spelling at like a college level.’

At first, Jozak described the experience as a series of meetings with psychologists who would remove him from class for hours at a time.

‘I was being told that I was a very special kid. I had a very special brain, and no one else would understand,’ he said, adding that the situation escalated when he was around 12 years old.

Jozak said his parents were informed that he had become psychologically unstable and needed to leave the public school system.

He disputed that characterization, telling podcast host Jesse Michels that he was fine and that his parents attempted to move him from the school system without any luck.

‘I was refusing to go to school at one point, and people from the school district were actually showing up and removing me from the house. Like it was Stranger Things-level stuff,’ Jozak claimed.

According to Jozak, he was then enrolled in a program operated through Baker Victory Services, a New York organization that provided services for children with developmental, behavioral and mental health needs.

‘Baker Victory Services still exists today. It’s a much larger organization serving a lot of other purposes, which are good,’ he said.

‘The organization itself was not the problem. It was the exact location and the element that I was in.’

He described the facility as a highly controlled environment where he attended classes several days a week while spending the rest of his time working with psychologists and researchers.

‘I would attend school like a normal kid for like two to three days a week, and then for the other two to three days a week, depending on that, I was working heavily with a team of psychologists, researchers, psychiatrists,’ he said.

The most dramatic allegations involved what Jozak described as psychic training exercises.

He claimed researchers taught him techniques similar to remote viewing, a controversial practice that involves attempting to gather information about distant people, places or objects through mental concentration alone.

‘I had the ability to get out of my body, see in the other room, see things from a distance. And kind of shift my awareness visually,’ he said.

According to Jozak, he would enter deep meditative states while listening to audio stimulation designed to alter brain activity.

Researchers allegedly monitored his brain waves and encouraged him to repeat mental exercises that produced certain neurological patterns.

Some former GATE students have argued that the program was tied to the CIA’s Gateway Program that was developed in the 1980s to explore the limitations of human consciousness using sound, meditation and other techniques.

A document released by the CIA explains that these recordings typically featured a series of ‘non-verbal audio patterns’ masked by sounds like crashing waves or wind blowing through the trees.

Many alumni of GATE programs recalled being subjected to the same audio ‘tests’ at school.

Jozak claimed the training he experienced was intended to develop abilities that could eventually be used for intelligence gathering, advanced technology programs and UFO-related research.

‘I was in a psionic development pipeline for legacy program development,’ he said.

A psionic development pipeline represents the systematic approach to awakening, training, and applying extraordinary mental abilities, including telepathy, clairvoyance, or psychokinesis.

According to him, researchers believed some UFOs or other exotic vehicles could be operated through consciousness rather than conventional controls.

‘I would lie in a deep meditation. I would have some type of sedative and shift my consciousness into a set object or some vehicle and become it,’ he said.

According to Jozak, he was then instructed to manipulate the object mentally.

‘Pilot it up and down, move it left and right,’ he said, claiming that UFOs were not flown with joysticks, but with the mind.

He claimed researchers monitored his brain activity throughout the process in hopes of replicating the neurological signals involved.

‘From what I understand, what they were trying to do is build a brain neural interface that would reproduce the brain wave signals that I was sending out,’ he said.

Another extraordinary claim centers on what Jozak described as a mysterious crystal orb that researchers referred to as a ‘relic.’

The object, he said, appeared to contain a swirling white structure that seemed alive and responsive.

‘As I locked eye contact with it, the inside structure, it adapts and it likes changes,’ Jozak said.

He claimed the object appeared to react to his presence and later became a central part of his training.

Jozak said he has provided names, locations and other details to members of the intelligence community and government officials.

To date, no public evidence has emerged to substantiate his allegations, and no documentation has been released showing that such a program existed.

However, Jozak insisted the experiences were real and said they explain the traumatic memories that resurfaced decades later.

Georgia Senators Respond as DHS Shuts Down Social Circle ICE Facility

GEORGIA (WRBL) — Plans for a new ICE detention facility in Social Circle have been officially halted, as announced by city leaders on Thursday.

The update came through Congressman Mike Collins, who informed local officials that the proposed site for the detention center might be sold unless other federal agencies find a use for the land.

“We are optimistic that the land will once again become part of the local tax base, boosting the economic growth and sustainability of the Social Circle area,” city officials remarked in a Thursday statement. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our community during this period of uncertainty.”

The city expressed appreciation for the efforts of Congressman Collins, Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock, Senator Jon Ossoff, and other elected officials, alongside community leaders and advocates for their support of Social Circle residents.

Senator Warnock addressed the media on Friday, commending the Department of Homeland Security’s choice to abandon the detention center project in Social Circle.

I was proud to elevate the concerns of the people of Social Circle over the past four months. To pressure the administration to backtrack on their dangerous plans, including several conversations I had directly with the Secretary of Homeland Security, my former colleague here in the United States Senate. In March, I visited Social Circle to speak directly to the citizens there about their concerns. I promised the people of Georgia that I would walk with them as I worked for them. Grateful for this victory today for Georgia.

-Rev. Raphael Warnock, United States Senator from the State of Georgia

In a statement issued on Friday morning, Sen. Ossoff echoed similar sentiments.

“From the beginning, the Social Circle community united against this proposal, which risked overwhelming the city’s infrastructure. This news proves yet again that public pressure and opposition works. I congratulate Social Circle Mayor David Keener, City Manager Eric Taylor, and the entire community on this achievement, and I will continue fighting alongside Georgia communities against overreach by this administration.”

-Jon Ossoff, United States Senator from the State of Georgia

Social Circle is located roughly 40 miles east of Atlanta, in Walton and Newton counties, and currently maintains a population of 5,000 people.

Leadership Showdown Looms: Andy Burnham Poised to Challenge UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer

0

Andy Burnham has successfully reclaimed his seat in Parliament through a special election victory, positioning himself as a formidable contender against the unpopular Keir Starmer for the leadership of the Labour Party and, potentially, the role of prime minister.

Currently serving as the mayor of Greater Manchester, Burnham secured the Makerfield seat with a commanding 55% of the vote, triumphing over more than a dozen competitors. According to The Associated Press, his closest rival, Rob Kenyon from the right-wing populist Reform UK party, trailed significantly, garnering over 9,000 fewer votes.

Burnham, who last held a parliamentary position in 2017, hinted strongly in his victory speech that his return to the political arena is driven by aspirations of leading the nation.

“Everyone knows that politics isn’t working. Everyone can feel that the country isn’t where it should be. Tonight could, just could, be the turning point,” he declared, as reported by the AP. “This result will bring about a country that works fairly for everyone, everywhere.”

Following his win at the Makerfield by-election in Ashton, Burnham addressed his supporters, signaling a new chapter for both his political journey and the future of the Labour Party. His victory marks a significant moment in British politics, potentially heralding a shift in leadership and policy direction.

This special election, called by-elections in Britain, was unusually significant because the area’s Labour MP, Josh Simons, intentionally resigned to allow Burnham to win the seat and pursue leadership.

The potentially outsized impact of this election was juxtaposed with the strange scene that unfolded when all the candidates gathered on Friday morning to hear the results. Burnham stood in between an independent candidate dressed in a fox costume and another candidate known as “Count Binface”.

As his name suggests, “Count Binface,” whose real name is Jonathan David Harvey, was wearing a trash can on his head and regularly runs in U.K. elections to advocate for increased voter turnout.

Starmer congratulated Burnham in a social media post on X, saying voters “chose Labour’s campaign of hope and optimism over division and hate.”

When asked about Burnham’s intentions to oust him as leader, Starmer said he will fight to remain prime minister, a position he has held for nearly two years.

“I’ve said repeatedly I’m not going to walk away from that,” Starmer told reporters.

Starmer led the Labour party to a landslide victory in July 2024 and ever since, his popularity has been eroding thanks to a persistently high cost of living, an anemic economy and a scandal over his willingness to accept gifts from wealthy donors.

Last September, Starmer was slammed for appointing Peter Mandelson as the British ambassador to the United States, when it was known as early as 2019 that Mandelson had a friendship with convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Following an enormous public backlash, Mandelson was quickly dismissed from his post.

With Starmer as leader, Labour is increasingly losing liberal-minded voters to the Green Party, while also facing stronger challenges by Reform UK, a Nigel Farage-led party that advocates against mass migration and in favor of tighter border controls. Farage, an ally of U.S. President Donald Trump, said he was disappointed by Burnham’s victory.

Burnham is expected to head to London to be sworn in as soon as Monday. Under the British parliamentary system, the governing party can hold leadership elections in the middle of the term. The winner of such a contest can become prime minister without there having to be a national election.

Under Labour rules, a lawmaker can challenge the leader if they win the backing of a fifth of their party’s members in the House of Commons. Burnham has enough lawmakers on board to trigger a leadership contest, according to a report from The New Statesman.

According to the AP, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said Burnham and Starmer will “have a conversation about what comes next” in the next few days.

Woman Sentenced After Disturbing Incident Involving Infant

Left: Melissa Bilby and her daughter (GoFundMe). Right: Amanda L. Greger (Clermont County Jail).

An Ohio woman, found wearing a sweatshirt stained with blood after brutally assaulting her friend’s infant daughter during an overnight babysitting stint, has been sentenced to prison.

Amanda Leigh Greger, 38, received a prison sentence of at least three and a half years in May for the severe beating of the 1-year-old daughter of her friend, Melissa Bilby.

In November, as reported by Law&Crime, Greger was charged with inflicting injuries on the child, resulting in blood oozing from her right eye and a brain bleed. The injuries were so critical that doctors placed the baby in intensive care under heavy sedation.

On May 28, Greger entered a guilty plea to one count of felonious assault, according to court documents reviewed by Law&Crime. In exchange, prosecutors dropped additional charges, including child endangerment.

Greger also admitted to tampering with evidence. Authorities reported that upon returning home from her night shift in Goshen Township, near Cincinnati, Bilby discovered Greger asleep in the room with the infant. Greger was allegedly wearing a hooded sweatshirt stained with what appeared to be blood and vomit.

Investigators also discovered bloodstains “located throughout the room,” police wrote in the affidavit.

“The clothing [the victim] had been wearing was found in the washing machine, washed but still visibly stained,” the affidavit reads.

The victim’s mother confirmed that the stained clothing found in the washing machine was the same clothing that her daughter had been wearing when she left for work the previous evening and before she suffered the injuries.

According to the sentencing order, Greger did not speak at the hearing.

“The Court inquired of the defendant if they had anything to say on their behalf prior to sentencing, or if there is any good and sufficient reason why sentence should not be pronounced, and the defendant stated they did not,” the order says.

Following the baby’s admission to the hospital, Lindsay Bilby, the victim’s aunt, started a GoFundMe page for the victim and her family. The page identified the mother as Melissa Bilby and described Greger as a “lifetime friend” of Bilby’s whom she “trusted to protect and keep her kids safe while she worked to provide for them.”

The page also provided additional details about the victim’s injuries and prognosis.

“[The victim] was admitted to PICU [pediatric intensive care unit] with a brain bleed, bruised lungs, fluid along her spine, and fluid around her heart,” the fundraising page says. “She was intubated, then placed on a ventilator, and she is being kept heavily sedated to help her heal.”

Meet Andy Burnham: The UK Mayor Poised to Challenge Keir Starmer’s Leadership for Prime Minister

0

In brief

  • Former Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham has won a parliamentary set in Northern England.
  • It opens the path for Burnham to challenge prime minister Keir Starmer for leadership of the UK’s Labour party.

Andy Burnham, the much-lauded Mayor of Greater Manchester, has set the stage for a potential challenge against UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. After securing a parliamentary seat, Burnham’s recent victory may initiate what could be one of the most pivotal local elections in over sixty years.

Dubbed the “King of the North,” Burnham emerged victorious in the Makerfield by-election in northwest England, representing the Labour Party with a commendable 24,927 votes. His closest rival, the candidate from Nigel Farage’s right-wing Reform UK party, trailed behind with 15,696 votes.

With his win, Burnham is now positioned to either initiate or actively participate in a leadership contest to replace Starmer. The current Prime Minister is facing a steep decline in popularity, ranking among the least favored leaders in recent UK history. However, the burning question remains: when and how will Burnham decide to make his move?

In his victory address on Friday, Burnham issued a clarion call to his party, stating, “I do say to my own party, this is a final chance to change. There will be no second chance.”

Polling data underscores Burnham’s significant appeal; at 56, he stands as Labour’s most popular politician. Should a leadership contest unfold, Burnham is considered the frontrunner, likely to secure victory in a months-long campaign determined by party members. Meanwhile, some within Labour hope that Starmer might be convinced to step aside, thus avoiding a potentially fractious internal battle.

Who is Andy Burnham?

Andy Burnham is a career politician. He was first elected as the member for Leigh in Greater Manchester in 2001. By 2009, he’d risen to secretary of state for health in then-prime minister Gordon Brown’s cabinet, a post he held until the Labour government resigned following a general election in 2010, after which he became the shadow secretary of state for health.

When Brown resigned as Labour leader in 2010, Burnham embarked on the first of two failed leadership challenges, running on a personal philosophy of “aspirational socialism”. Burnham lost out in that ballot, which went to Ed Miliband. He would become the shadow secretary of state for education in Miliband’s cabinet.

Burnham’s second challenge came ahead of the 2015 general election, seeking to replace Miliband. He ultimately ran second to Jeremy Corbyn in the party ballot.

He was approached by the city of Greater Manchester in 2016 about potentially running for mayor and leapt at the chance, going on to win with 63 per cent of the vote. He has remained the mayor of Greater Manchester ever since — but will have to give up that role before taking up his parliamentary seat.

Burnham rose to national prominence again during the COVID-19 pandemic after he clashed with then-prime minister Boris Johnson’s Conservative government over the level of assistance provided to constituents and businesses during lockdown periods.

His clashes with the Johnson government were so popular with the public that they earned him three consecutive mayoral terms and the nickname “the King of the North”.

Andy Burnham’s political views

When asked about his political views in 2010, Burnham said he considered himself a “socialist” and repeated his philosophy of “aspirational socialism” throughout his first leadership challenge. As mayor of Greater Manchester, he described his policies as “Manchesterism”, which he also described as “the end of neo-liberalism” and “business-friendly socialism”.

Self-described as part of the “soft left” flank of the Labour Party, he described this philosophy as collectivist, internationalist and redistributive.

He has said that he considers nationalism to be an “ugly brand of politics”, putting him in direct opposition to far-right parties in the UK like Reform UK and Restore Britain.

Socially, Burnham’s views are broadly left-leaning, stating that he is a supporter of LGBTQI+ rights and voted in favour of same-sex marriage in 2013.

He has also voiced some support for the transgender community on several occasions, but retracted his support for transgender people being allowed to use single-sex facilities after a UK Supreme Court decision on the statutory interpretation of the terms man and woman.

On immigration, Burnham’s views have changed over time. In 2016, when shadow home secretary, he told the press that he opposed migration caps and a bill that would require landlords to run immigration checks to flush out illegal immigrants.

In May, however, Burnham said that he supported UK home secretary Shabana Mahmood’s plan to limit immigration — both legal and illegal.

The third leadership attempt

Starmer’s leadership has been rocked by several policy U-turns and a scandal over his appointment of Peter Mandelson, a former associate of Jeffrey Epstein, as the UK’s ambassador to the United States.

Dozens of Labour MPs have called on Starmer to quit, and several ministers have resigned, as national surveys suggest Reform would win the next general election, expected in 2029.

But the 63-year-old ex-lawyer has refused to quit, insisting his landslide election victory over the Conservatives 23 months ago gave him a five-year mandate to govern.

Party rules dictate that any leadership candidates must be sitting members of the parliamentary Labour Party. Amid growing impatience within the centre-left ruling party, now-former Labour MP Josh Simons stood down in Makerfield to clear the way for Burnham’s attempt to return to parliament and run for leader.

The unprecedented move thrust the little-known political district into the spotlight, handing its electorate of roughly 77,000 people an outsized say in influencing Starmer’s fate.

Turnout was 59 per cent, the highest in a by-election for seven years, with more than 45,000 votes cast.

Where things stand now

All eyes now turn to when Burnham will make his move against Starmer, as Labour will now also face a tough fight to replace him as mayor.

Burnham is due to be sworn in as a member of parliament on Monday.

He will be able to easily muster the support of 81 of Labour’s 400-plus MPs — the minimum needed to kickstart a contest.

Starmer has repeatedly said he will fight any challenge, warning his party against a potentially bitter leadership election, but Burnham allies are hopeful ministers can persuade the premier to step down instead.

Another of Starmer’s main rivals, former health minister Wes Streeting, said this week he would force a contest soon unless the prime minister announced when he would stand down.

Unveiled: Trump’s Secret Correspondence with Iran – A New Chapter in US-Iran Relations

0

The Issue: Various concessions to the Iranian regime made in President Trump’s 14-point peace deal.

President Trump’s approach to the Iran deal has sparked comparisons to policies from the Obama era, as noted in the June 17 article titled “For Tehran, with love.”

Despite Israel’s significant efforts in targeting key figures within the Iranian regime, critics argue that the president missed an opportunity by not taking further action to dismantle the remaining drone and missile production facilities.

Many citizens anticipated a regime change, hoping for a substantial shift they believed would be delivered under Trump’s leadership. However, they found themselves disappointed by the lack of decisive transformation.

David Obremski

Wayne, NJ

The Iranian people weren’t let down by the United States. The United States, along with Israel, did everything that it set out to do: It took out the missile launch sites, Iran’s navy, its leadership and nuclear capabilities.

It’s now time for the Iranian people to rise up and take their country back.

Dan Gardner

Staten Island

Iran is getting its frozen assets back. Their leadership, the same leadership our own president labeled “bad people” who “must go,” remains firmly in power. No regime change. No surrender.

We poured billions into this effort that could have transformed our own society. Instead, we spent it on a “war” that ended with Iran’s government untouched and its nuclear ambitions still alive.

If this is what victory looks like, then the bar has been set so low it’s underground.

Alan Swartz

Verona, NJ

It seems to me that The Post is using inappropriate and false statements from unreliable sources to downgrade Trump’s efforts to force Iran to reverse its policies and become a country of peace.

I’m sure that Iran will not get any cash or relief from sanctions until they prove that they’re sincere in following the final agreements. If not, then, as Trump says, we will bomb the hell out of them.

Richard Ketay

Newark, NJ

Has Trump gone soft? Has he succumbed to accepting an ephemeral deal with Iran, for the sake of “trumpeting” a “deal” before the upcoming elections?

The president’s done so much good, it’s sad to see him squander it for what appears to be a specious “deal” with our and Israel’s No. 1 one sworn enemy.

Jack Weinberg

Manhattan

The agreement with Iran is the worst deal Trump could have made. Each point favors Iran, allowing it to buy time with further negotiations.

The people of Iran are the true victims, and Israel should prepare for a tough road ahead.

The Issue: Identity politics surrounding Karmelo Anthony’s 35-year prison sentence for murder.

After hearing Rep Jasmine Crockett fueling racial tensions regarding the killing of Austin Metcalf, one wonders if any other African American leaders can speak candidly about what happened (“Stab-slay jury nailed it: judge,” June 16).

If one wants to heal race relations, an honest appraisal of this senseless killing is a good place to begin. Time to put away the race card.

Peter Cooper

Bronxville

People who posted edited photos of themselves urinating on the grave of murder victim Austin Metcalf are not trolls, they are something much worse. They’re ignorant, misguided people whose minds have been so poisoned that they have lost the ability to evaluate any situation, including murder, other than through a lens of racial politics. Apparently they actually can’t think anymore.

This has nothing to do with racial justice, and the inability of people to see this is a failure of parenting, education and our society at large. A life was ended and many others are ruined, including that of the killer, all of which is an unspeakable tragedy.

Anne Hathaway has joyfully announced that she is expecting her third child.

The 43-year-old star of “Mother Mary” shared the heartwarming news with her followers through an Instagram video on Friday, proudly showcasing her growing baby bump.

In the video, Anne, a mother of two, steps into view dressed in a white linen ensemble that initially conceals her belly. She then gracefully removes her arms to reveal her pregnancy.

Anne and her husband, Adam Shulman, whom she met in 2008 and married 14 years ago, are already parents to two sons: Jonathan, who is 10, and Jack, who is six.

She included the Barbara Lewis song Baby, I’m Yours in the post and also made this the caption of her announcement.

As the clip concludes, a beaming Anne offers a radiant smile before exiting the scene.

Anne received congratulations from her celebrity pals, including Gigi Hadid who wrote: ‘YESS MOMMMMYYYYY’.

Suki Waterhouse said: ‘So happy for you’.

Others in the comments section, said: ‘Ahh congratulations! God I just love when women rock every part of life’; ‘Aww congratulations’; ‘Omggg congratulations!’

Anne had recently been spotted in a selection of flattering looks which disguised her blossoming bump.

This included appearances in early June in New York in a floaty blue co-ord and at the Louis Vuitton Cruise Show in a stomach-skimming grey dress in May.

Anne has previously opened up about her ‘complicated’ journey to motherhood and her desire to welcome a third child into their family.

She made the claims speaking to WSJ Magazine in March 2022, saying: ‘I could see us going for another one. There’s this tendency to portray getting pregnant, having kids, in one light, as if it’s all positive. But I know from my own experience, it’s so much more complicated than that.

Anne also spoke about how motherhood changed her for the better and altered her experience of living, telling the publication: ‘I didn’t feel fully landed and fully here until I was a mom.

‘It’s not like I was lacking integrity, but it made me want to be completely, on every level, true to my word. And that meant stopping any nonsense that I had going on inside myself. And it’s little breaks that you give yourself sometimes when you know that you’re not being your best self.’

Anne has historically kept her family life out of the spotlight and previously revealed the reason behind her decision.

In a November 2023 interview with PORTER, she said: ‘It’s something I feel is not just essential for my health – I’m on a team, it’s my family, and it’s not just about me.’

‘My family has needs, and one of the needs of children is that they need to be able to define their own lives.

‘It doesn’t even occur to me to link the two up, except through gratitude that they serve each other so beautifully. But they serve each other through me, and not through a space that’s outside of myself.’

Anne recently told how she has made a ‘conscious shift’ to stop living life as a ‘stressed person’ because she didn’t think it was ‘fair’ for the people around her to have to cope with her feeling under pressure and overwhelmed in various areas of her life.

She told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: ‘You can’t have a good time at a party if the hostess is stressed or she’s letting her stress show.

‘I just decided that it wasn’t fair for me to move through my life as a stressed person. I don’t want my kids to be around it, I don’t want my friends to be around it, I don’t want strangers to be around it, I don’t want people I work with to be around it.

At the end of the clip, delighted Anne flashes a huge grin before walking out of the frame

‘So I’ve done a lot of work to figure out how to metabolise differently, so that way I don’t feel overwhelmed by all that’s coming at me and that I’m participating in, but I actually feel really excited by it.’

She has stopped trying to find ‘balance’ in her life and believes looking for harmony is much more realistic.

She said: ‘Before, there was this focus that was really uncompromising and uninterrupted.

‘And I just can’t tell you anymore what life is like without kids, but kids interrupt you all the time.

‘My friends and I talk about it a lot, and we actually feel very defeated by the concept of balance.

‘If the weight shifts in one direction, you then have to bounce it up on the other side, and we find that it winds us up as opposed to making us steady. We’re like, ‘We seek to harmonise our life.’

Anne and Adam met at the Palm Springs Film Festival and wed in 2012 in Big Sur, California.

Anne has had a great year with the success of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Next she will star in The Odyssey with Matt Damon, Charlize Theron, Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.

But two years ago she admitted that she didn’t always feel so secure about her career.

She said she is now ‘way more comfortable in [her] skin’ than she was 20 years ago.

The Oscar-winning star told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I certainly am way more comfortable in my skin in my 40s than I was in my 20s. I felt lost in my 20s.

‘I felt this pressure to have it all figured out and I thought that because I didn’t know everything about myself, I was somehow doing something wrong. But it turns out, that’s what your life’s for.’

While Anna has had huge career success, she considers her family to be her number one priority in life.

She explained: ‘When I started out, when I first became a mom, people were like, “Oh, how are you going to balance it?” and I’m just like, “Balance? What are you talking about?”‘

She also said that Christopher Nolan saved her career.

The acclaimed actress recalled being portrayed as ‘toxic’ prior to starring in Interstellar in 2014.

She told Vanity Fair: ‘A lot of people wouldn’t give me roles because they were so concerned about how toxic my identity had become online.

‘I had an angel in Christopher Nolan, who did not care about that and gave me one of the most beautiful roles I’ve had in one of the best films that I’ve been a part of.’

She admitted that the director changed the course of her career.

Anne said: ‘I don’t know if he knew that he was backing me at the time, but it had that effect. And my career did not lose momentum the way it could have if he hadn’t backed me.’

Gilgo Beach Serial Killer’s Ex-Wife Breaks Silence: ‘Justice Served with Maximum Sentence for 8 Grisly Murders

0

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. — Asa Ellerup, the former spouse of convicted Long Island serial killer Rex Heuermann, expressed through her lawyer on Friday that the 62-year-old architect “received what he deserved” after a New York judge imposed the maximum sentence on him this week for multiple murders committed between 1993 and 2010.

“She feels the punishment fits the severity of his crimes, and clearly, he got what he deserved,” stated Ellerup’s attorney, Bob Macedonio. “You cannot take the lives of eight people. She has never, and would never, support any such actions.”

According to Macedonio, Heuermann has not communicated with his ex-wife or their children since his transfer from the Suffolk County Jail on Thursday. He is currently being processed at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville, New York. However, the specific location where he will serve his sentence remains undisclosed.

Ellerup infamously revealed that she now sleeps in the room where her ex tortured and killed seven of the eight victims in the latest episode of “The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets” docuseries on Peacock.

“The brutal truth is that Rex Heuermann said he dismembered the bodies in this room,” she says in the episode. “That is the brutal truth. OK. Now. There’s me. I’m in this room. And I’m here because I do feel spiritual. I am trying to say spiritually, in my own way, that I am really sorry for what these victims went through.”

Judge Timothy Mazzei ripped into the hulking Heuermann at sentencing Wednesday, calling him a “coward” and “small man” for the “despicable” murders of eight women, all around 100 pounds and 5 feet tall.

“Mr. Heuermann, as Mr. Tierney said, I know that you’re sorry you got caught. I assume that you’re sorry for what you’ve done to your wife and children. Are you a little bit sorry for what you did to these poor, innocent women?” Mazzei asked. “Eight women that you strangled to death — at least eight, that we know of. Are you at least a little bit sorry for that? Yes?”

“Yes, I am,” Heuermann responded.

“You know what, you’ve been described as a very big man, but you’re a disgusting and despicable small man, if you’re a man at all,” an audibly emotional Mazzei replied. “And you’re a coward.”

He sentenced Heuermann to three consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole, to be followed by four consecutive terms of 25 years to life.

After dismissing three lesser charges, Mazzei ordered the bailiffs to “Get him out of here.”

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said afterward that local authorities expected to be rid of Heuermann before the end of the week. He was gone the following morning.

Ellerup filed for divorce shortly after Heuermann’s arrest outside his Manhattan office on July 13, 2023. Police soon descended on the family’s Massapequa Park home, the only ramshackle house in an otherwise upscale suburban neighborhood about 35 miles east of New York City.

Since his 2023 arrest, Heuermann was charged with the murders of seven women, and he confessed to killing an eighth during a change-of-plea hearing on April 8.

Tierney has declined to speculate about whether there are more victims, saying what he thinks “doesn’t matter” — and that if investigators obtain more evidence, it would be presented to a grand jury in pursuit of a new indictment.

Italy’s Meloni Dismisses Trump’s Photo Request Allegation Amid Diplomatic Tensions

0

ROME (AP) — The Italian government united in protest on Friday against remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed that Premier Giorgia Meloni had “begged” for a photograph with him at the recent G7 summit. This strong rebuttal from Italy signaled a growing fatigue with Trump’s self-aggrandizing statements.

Italy’s Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, promptly cancelled his planned visit to the United States over the weekend, labeling Trump’s assertions as “serious and offensive” not only to Premier Meloni but to Italy as a whole.

In response, Meloni released a video statement categorically dismissing Trump’s remarks as “completely fabricated” and expressed disbelief that he would concoct such a story about a longstanding ally. She firmly stated, “Italy and I do not beg.”

The controversy stems from an interview Trump gave, aired on Friday morning by the La7 network. Although the reporter’s question centered on Ukraine, Trump veered off-topic, bringing up Meloni and their interaction at the recent G7 meeting in Evian-les-Bains, France. During the summit, footage captured Meloni and Trump engaged in conversation, at times seated together on a small sofa.

La7 reported that Trump claimed Meloni had “begged” him for a photo opportunity. He allegedly said he wasn’t compelled to oblige but agreed out of a sense of pity for her. The network has provided a dubbed version of the interview online, although the original English audio is unavailable.

Meloni is astonished and defiant

In her video, Meloni said she was responding to Trump’s claims because “certain things deserve an immediate response.”

“Donald Trump’s statements are completely fabricated. I am frankly stunned,” she said. “I don’t know why the president of the United States behaves this way toward his own allies. After all, this isn’t the first time this has happened.”

It was an apparent reference to an interview Trump gave to Italian daily Corriere della Sera in April in which he criticized Meloni’s refusal to back the U.S.-Israel war in Iran. Meloni didn’t respond publicly at the time.

By Friday, it appeared she had had enough of his boasts and broadsides.

“I can only say that it’s a shame he doesn’t show the same resolve toward the enemies of the West, toward the enemies of the United States — toward leaders with whom he, on the other hand, is much more accommodating,” Meloni said Friday. “But there’s one thing he must remember: Italy and I do not beg.”

The White House did not return an immediate request for comment on Meloni’s remarks.

Meloni had initially sought to build on longstanding strong U.S.-Italian ties when Trump began his second mandate, and had positioned herself as a “bridge” between Washington and the European Union. She was the lone EU head of state to attend his inauguration.

But relations have frayed over the U.S. war in Iran, which Meloni has said was illegal, and Trump’s position on Ukraine, which Italy strongly supports. Trump’s tariffs and strong U.S. support of Israel over its war in Gaza have been other points of contention.

Italian officials close ranks around Meloni

By Friday afternoon, solidarity with Meloni had poured in from across the government and political spectrum, and included a call from President Sergio Mattarella, Italy’s widely respected head of state.

“Whoever attacks @GiorgiaMeloni attacks all of us,” posted Transport Minister Matteo Salvini.

Justice Minister Carlo Nordio referenced the sacrifice of American troops in World War II in underlining the harm to U.S.-Italy relations caused by Trump.

“The thousands of crosses marking the graves of American soldiers who died to free us from Nazi-Fascist dictatorship did not deserve such a painful blow to our fraternal ties,” Nordio said on X.

Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said he didn’t believe Meloni would ever beg someone for a photo, “not even under threat.”

“I can, however, imagine how much it cost her to set aside what Trump had said weeks ago, to serve the interests of Italy, of Europe, and of the West,” Crosetto posted on X. “Jokes of this kind do no good to anyone: neither to the USA, nor to Italy, nor to the alliance.”

Tajani had been due to travel to the U.S. on Sunday to take part in an Italy-U.S. business forum in Miami during which he was to have meet with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to a U.S. State Department announcement of the meeting.

A ‘fantastic’ friendship frays

Meloni had long been considered one of Trump’s closest allies in Europe, trying to act as a mediator between the often conflicting interests of the U.S. and the EU.

They had gotten off to a strong start, and the two leaders are ideologically aligned on many issues. As the head of a far-right party, Meloni backs curbing migration and promoting traditional values.

Weeks before Trump’s 2025 inauguration, Meloni met Trump at his Mar-a-Lago retreat, a visit that she said went “beyond expectations.” It was, she said at the time, “an opportunity to confirm a relationship that promises to be very solid,’’ adding diplomatically, “I don’t know if I can say privileged.”

In the months after, Trump had praised her repeatedly, as “fantastic,” “incredible,” beautiful and a friend.

But stark differences emerged over Ukraine, after Trump wavered in his support while Meloni kept backing Kyiv after Russia’s invasion in February 2022.

More recently, she sharply warned against U.S. threats to take Greenland by force, saying she didn’t believe Washington would go so far and that regardless Italy would never support such a move.

Fox News Anchors Challenge Kash Patel on Security Shortcomings at Correspondents’ Dinner

0
Fox News anchors put Kash Patel on the hot seat Monday morning, demanding answers about security failures at the White House Correspondents' Dinner attended by Donald Trump and his top cabinet members. Cole Tomas Allen, 31, was taken into custody at the dinner Saturday night in Washington. Allen was detained after attempting to attack the dinner while armed with a shotgun, handgun, and knives. The suspect exchanged gunfire with Secret Service agents at a checkpoint outside a ballroom hosting the President and First Lady. 'They did a great job on on the ground, but they remain reactive. The proactive approach is still under great scrutiny. The President United States is averaging an assassination attempt once a year,' Fox anchor Lawrence Jones told Patel.

Fox News hosts grilled Kash Patel on Monday morning, pressing him for explanations regarding security lapses at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which was attended by Donald Trump and key cabinet members. The incident involved the arrest of 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen on Saturday night in Washington. Authorities detained Allen after he attempted to disrupt the dinner while armed with a shotgun, handgun, and knives. The suspect engaged in a shootout with Secret Service agents at a checkpoint outside the ballroom where the President and First Lady were present. “They did a great job on the ground, but they remain reactive. The proactive approach is still under great scrutiny. The President of the United States is averaging an assassination attempt once a year,” stated Fox anchor Lawrence Jones to Patel.

'So who's going to do the investigating of the procedures Secret Service can't investigate themselves,' Jones continued. 'There's still people in leadership at the Secret Service that were responsible for Butler.' 'How does that happen?! It was a failure, right?!' Patel sidestepped the questions but conceded the Butler shooting was a 'total failure.' The FBI director also said he's been in contact with Secretary Markwayne Mullen and has offered the FBI's full resources to improve security coordination with the Secret Service at future events involving the President. 'I think we are going to do it entirely differently,' Patel added. 'You heard the President say on Saturday night that we're going to do this again in short order.'

Jones further questioned, “So who’s going to investigate the procedures? The Secret Service can’t investigate themselves. There are still people in leadership at the Secret Service who were responsible for Butler.” When pressed for answers, Patel acknowledged the incident as a “total failure” but avoided direct responses. He mentioned that the FBI director has been in communication with Secretary Markwayne Mullen, offering the FBI’s full support to enhance security coordination with the Secret Service for future presidential events. “I think we are going to do it entirely differently,” Patel added. “You heard the President say on Saturday night that we’re going to do this again in short order.”

Patel said he is already in talks with the White House and federal law enforcement partners to shore up security for the next dinner. 'We got to do a couple of things differently, and we're already talking about it, and that's the good thing. And we're going to be better postured for the next event.' The suspect worked part-time for the last six years at a company that offers tutoring to aspiring college students in Torrance, California. He travelled across the country via train from California to DC armed with multiple firearms and knives. When asked by Fox anchor, Patel refused to say whether the suspect's behavior had been flagged to the FBI prior to the dinner shooting.

Patel also indicated that discussions are already underway with the White House and federal law enforcement agencies to bolster security measures for upcoming dinners. “We need to change a few things, and we’re already talking about it, and that’s the good part. We’ll be better prepared for the next event,” he stated. The suspect, who had been working part-time for a tutoring company in Torrance, California, for the past six years, traveled by train across the country to Washington, D.C., carrying multiple weapons. When questioned by Fox about whether the suspect had been flagged to the FBI before the incident, Patel declined to provide specifics.

'All those questions will be answered in the complaint, the criminal complaint that's being presented,' Patel said. 'I just can't get ahead of my partners at Department of Justice, and especially can't get ahead of the federal magistrate that it's being presented to but we have answered all those questions, and that's that's what we've been working towards.' A manifesto details how suspected gunman was targeting the President and his senior cabinet officials. Allen is expected to be arraigned in DC on Monday for two counts of wielding a firearm during a crime of violence and one count of assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon.
