Lindsay Clancy Mistrial: Lone Holdout’s Lawyer Rejects Law Claims

0

The attorney representing the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial is disputing the claim that his client refused to follow the law. Speaking with Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany, attorney Edward Paltzik said juror Michael P. Desronvil had no uncertainty about his position.

In a preview of an interview scheduled to air Monday on “Fox & Friends,” McEnany asked Paltzik whether Desronvil had ever experienced reasonable doubt after the jury foreperson sent the judge a note accusing him of refusing to apply the legal standard.

“Michael had zero doubt,” Paltzik said.

“Zero doubt. No doubt, and he had evidence to back up his position?” McEnany asked.

“A lot of evidence, a mountain of evidence,” Paltzik replied.

Desronvil was the only juror who did not reach an agreement after seven days of deliberations in Clancy’s trial.

The other 11 jurors were prepared to find Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse, not criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children. Desronvil instead continued to support a conviction.

Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Sept. 4.

Clancy admitted killing 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan at the family’s home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in January 2023.

Her defense maintained that postpartum psychosis made her not criminally responsible for the killings.

Prosecutors argued that Clancy understood her actions and had planned the killings.

Desronvil later said the physical evidence and witness testimony convinced him that Clancy knew what she was doing.

Prosecutors have not said whether they plan to retry Clancy.

She is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 29.

Fox News contacted defense attorney Kevin Reddington for a response to the accusations, but he did not respond to the network’s inquiries.

McEnany’s full interview with Paltzik will air Monday on “Fox & Friends.”

RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow on Heather’s Apology and Robert Jr.’s Homegoing

RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow Reveals Why She Accepted Heather’s Apology, Shares Off-Camera Convo With Whitney, and Talks Robert Jr.’s Homegoing, Meredith’s Facelift, Plus Shocking Status of Britani and Jared

Credit: NBCUniversal Media

Lisa Barlow revisited her complicated history with Heather Gay during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, including the apology Heather offered over their conflict on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.

Heather, 52, was accused of launching what appeared to be several unprovoked jabs at Lisa. During the interview, the 51-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star explained why she chose to accept Heather’s apology, opened up about an unseen conversation with Whitney Rose, 39, during season seven, and reflected on Robert Cosby Jr.‘s homegoing service. Lisa also weighed in on Meredith Marks‘ facelift, Britani Bateman‘s status with Jared Osmond, 55, and several other RHOSLC storylines.

Lisa said on WWHL that the loss of Robert Jr. changed her perspective and helped shape her decision to move forward with Heather.

“I accepted Heather’s apology because, after everything that happened with Robert Jr., I really needed some peace and a break,” Lisa explained. “You’ll see there are still other bumps along the way, but at that moment, I had enjoyed my time on Girls Trip and wanted to leave things there.”

Lisa also described Heather’s new boyfriend, Tripp, as “so nice,” though she joked that he was not quite as “sexy” as her husband, John Barlow, 50. Turning to Whitney’s apology, Lisa acknowledged that she still has a “soft spot” for her longtime co-star.

“I saw it as a beginning,” Lisa said of Whitney’s apology. She explained that viewers did not see the full extent of their off-camera exchange, which she described as much more direct. “I told Whitney, ‘I’m out of grace right now. This is it for me.’”

The two women ultimately agreed to return to the conversation later, Lisa said, adding that she hoped the remaining discussion would appear on the show because “a lot had to be dealt with.”

Lisa also reflected on the homegoing service that Mary Cosby, 53, held for her son, who died in February following a drug overdose. She called the gathering the “most impactful service” she had ever attended.

“Grief is incredibly difficult,” Lisa said, noting that Mary and her family transformed the service into a celebration of Robert Jr.’s life. She was especially moved by seeing Mary and Robert Cosby Sr. together, saying the couple appeared deeply in love, happy and supportive of one another.

Discussing Meredith Marks‘ facelift, Lisa insisted that Meredith had never needed cosmetic work. “She was already so beautiful—absolutely stunning—and she still looks stunning,” Lisa said.

When asked about Britani Bateman and Jared Osmond, Lisa disputed the idea that the pair had permanently called it quits.

“I just saw Jared, and he is completely with her,” Lisa revealed.

Lisa was also asked about Bronwyn Newport‘s romantic life. Although she admitted she had not been closely following the situation, she spoke warmly about Bronwyn’s former partner, Brandon Good, 32, calling him “adorable,” “cute” and one of the nicest people she had met.

After joking that Angie Katsanevas‘ hair was only a “six” and suggesting it was not her natural hair, Lisa addressed questions about Ashley Quai‘s husband frequently working in Florida despite Ashley seemingly being unaware of what he does there.

Lisa speculated that Ashley, who works in marketing, likely knows more than she chooses to reveal. “I think he retired from one job and moved on to something else,” Lisa said. “She probably just doesn’t want to discuss the details. It may simply be business privacy.”

During the WWHL: After Show, Lisa was asked whether she regretted posting a happy photo with John shortly after news broke that Whitney and Angie had split from Justin Rose, 58, and Shawn Trujillo, 55.

Lisa denied that the image was intended as a reaction to either breakup. “It had nothing to do with anyone in my cast,” she said, explaining that the tequila visible in the photo related to a business venture she shares with John. “John is my partner in life, in business and in parenting—he’s my partner in everything. To me, it was simply a post. I never connected it to them. Once they saw other things online, they assumed it was about them, but it wasn’t.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season seven airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.

How a Real-Life Fatal Attraction Led to Dianne Hood’s Death

0

One evening, Dianne Hood was walking out of a Colorado community center when a masked gunman confronted her in the parking lot.

The 32-year-old mother handed over her belongings, but the attacker pushed her down, shot her twice and ran off with her purse. Dianne was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

What first appeared to be a random robbery and shooting soon began to look like a carefully chosen attack.

“The fact that the robber attacked just one person when there were two people,” retired Colorado Springs Police Sergeant Tim Hogan said during a Sept. 27 episode of Oxygen’s Snapped, “led us to believe that Dianne was a target.”

What Happened to Dianne Hood?

Witness Karen Johnson told investigators that she and Dianne had just attended a support group for people living with lupus. She said the attacker was about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wore camouflage pants, a mask and gloves, and carried a long-barreled revolver.

“Karen said that her eyes met the eyes of the shooter,” investigative journalist Joyce Singular told Snapped, “and it looked like pure evil. Pure hatred.”

Johnson also remembered two seemingly minor details that later became important to the investigation.

“He picked up the purse and put it over his arm,” Hogan recalled. “She said he was running funny.”

Police found Dianne’s purse only a short distance away, with nothing missing. The gunman’s clothing was later discovered in a trash can in an alley. Investigators also recovered a bullet linked to a rare vintage weapon: a Colt .45 Peacemaker.

“If you know anything about that weapon, it’s the gun that won the West,” retired Colorado Springs Police Lieutenant Brian Ritz told Snapped. “It was the cowboy six-shooter.”

Even with those clues, detectives still had no clear answer to the central question: why was Dianne killed?

Investigators initially looked closely at Dianne’s husband, Brian Hood. He was eventually eliminated as a suspect because he did not match the witness’s description of the shooter and had been at home with the couple’s children when the attack occurred.

But as Brian publicly appealed for information about his wife’s killer, police received a tip that shifted the direction of the case.

Rich Schell, who owned a local flower shop, told authorities that Brian frequently visited his employee, Jennifer Reali. Schell said he had once caught the two sharing a kiss.

Who is Jennifer Reali?

Schell added that Jennifer’s husband, Army officer Ben Reali, kept a collection of antique firearms. That detail immediately drew investigators’ attention.

When questioned, Ben acknowledged that he owned a gun matching the weapon used to kill Dianne. After he turned it over to police, investigators noticed a strong odor of cleaning solvent.

Ben also identified the camouflage clothing as his own. He said that, after moving out of the home several nights before the murder, he had left both the clothing and the firearm with Jennifer.

Ben explained that their marriage had been troubled and Jennifer had asked him to leave. According to him, however, she wanted to keep his gun because she believed she might need it for protection.

“She kicked him out, but she wants him to leave a gun with her,” Ritz said. “It just happens to be the .45.”

Ben later told police that, the day after the murder, Jennifer asked him to return home—and to dispose of the gun.

Jennifer Reali’s “Fatal Attraction” Turns Deadly

Detectives wanted to get to know the woman at the center of Brian’s love triangle. They visited Jennifer at the flower shop, posing as customers, in part to document her physical description.

“A couple of things then started to make sense,” Hogan said. “The guy [was] running ‘funny,’ because males and females have a different gait. And the fact that the robber put the purse over his arm—that’s something a woman would do.”

Jennifer agreed to a police interview and admitted she knew Brian but denied having an affair. She also had an alibi for the night of the shooting: she had been jogging in the park.

“I said, ‘I believe you were running…because you had just shot and killed Dianne Hood,’” Hogan said. “She stood up and said, ‘Stop that! Stop that!’”

Jennifer did start talking, but only if Ben was present. When he entered the room, Hogan said, “She turned right to him and said, ‘Ben I did it.’”

While Jennifer confessed to pulling the trigger, she said it was Brian’s idea to kill Dianne so the two could get married—and so he could collect her life insurance money.

“She said Brian began talking to her about Dianne’s medical condition,” said Hogan, “and how she would be committing a mercy act, basically to kill Dianne.”

Brian even invoked their shared faith when introducing the plan.

“They were both very religious people,” prosecutor John Suthers told Snapped. “Brian had tried to convince her that they’re already engaged in sin and adultery, that was a serious sin, no more serious…than homicide, and they could be forgiven.”

According to Jennifer, she had lurked in the bushes outside the community center, then confronted Dianne, grabbing her purse to stage a robbery, before discarding the camo gear and driving home in her gym clothes.

On Sept. 14, 1990, Jennifer was charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy. Brian faced the same charges, along with solicitation.

“Brian Hood hires top-notch criminal defense lawyers,” Suthers said. “They immediately start spinning a ‘Fatal Attraction’ theory.”

While Brian’s defense acknowledged the affair, they maintained he knew nothing about a plan to kill Dianne and that he wanted to stay married—a decision they said had motivated Jennifer to kill.

“She did it because she wanted to get Brian,” Ritz said. “And she was willing to take that one excessive step to do so.”

Brian Hood and Jennifer Reali Sentenced for Dianne Hood’s Murder

During Brian’s trial in November 1991, Jennifer served as the prosecution’s star witness.

“Talk about riveting testimony,” Suthers said. “She told the whole deal, how they had discussed various means and had settled on this particular scenario.”

The jury ultimately found Brian guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and solicitation—but not murder. He was sentenced to 37 years in prison.

Three months later, on April 7, 1992, Jennifer went on trial, pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. However, she was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Jennifer was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

In December 2017, Jennifer was granted parole, and three months after her release, she died from pancreatic cancer at age 55.

Nathan Cleary Speaks From Hospital as Multiple Surgeries Loom

0

Nathan Cleary has spoken from his hospital bed after undergoing surgery for the horrific ankle injury he suffered during Penrith’s preliminary final defeat by the Newcastle Knights on Sunday.

The Panthers captain sustained a confirmed compound fracture of the tibia and fibula in his left leg.

Cleary shared an emotional update on Instagram, thanking those who had contacted him and promising to return to the field. In the accompanying photo, he raised both thumbs.

‘Surgery done… Thank you so much to everyone that has reached out, the support has been unbelievable.’

The Penrith playmaker acknowledged that the day after the injury had been among the most difficult of his career as he started to come to terms with the setback.

‘Yesterday sucked but it’s all part of the journey and it’s made me even more grateful for the people I have around me.’

He finished the post with a determined message: ‘I’ll be back.’

Cleary confirmed that the operation was complete but did not reveal any details about the procedure.

He also stopped short of offering a potential timeframe for his return to rugby league.

Instead, his message centred on the gratitude he feels towards those supporting him through the ordeal.

Cleary described the reaction to his injury and the messages he had received as ‘unbelievable’.

Several club sources told The Sydney Morning Herald that it was the worst leg break they had witnessed. In the immediate aftermath, Panthers medical staff helped paramedics keep Cleary’s leg straight because of fears that the injury could cut off the blood supply to his left foot.

Cleary’s foot was left pointing in a different direction, prompting urgent concern about circulation and the risk of serious complications.

Some Penrith staff reportedly only realised the extent of the damage when they saw the tackle replayed on Accor Stadium’s big screen before reaching him.

There were also fears the trauma could have caused syndesmosis damage, although that injury has not been confirmed.

The halfback was taken by ambulance to hospital for emergency surgery after Phoenix Crossland’s hip-drop tackle ended his afternoon.

Adding to his ordeal, Cleary had entered the match with a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot, a separate injury that also requires an operation.

‘He will have to get the other foot done as well, because that was broken,’ his father and coach Ivan said.

The Panthers had previously described that problem as a ‘stress-related bone issue’, with Cleary starting on the bench before entering the game in the 26th minute.

Less than 10 minutes later, he was receiving urgent treatment as shocked teammates and opponents gathered around him.

Newcastle’s Francis Manuleleua immediately signalled for medical assistance, while Cleary was given pain relief through a green whistle.

The Herald reported he could spend up to six months on the sidelines, provided there were no surgical complications.

His mother Bec was reportedly in tears in the crowd, while Ivan faced the distressing task of continuing to coach after watching his son suffer the injury.

‘That’s why I was probably even more emotional, because I knew how hard he worked and what he put himself through to actually get himself to play today,’ Ivan said.

The Panthers coach visited Nathan and their family at half-time, and later revealed his son had watched the remainder of the loss in the ambulance.

‘He watched the game in the ambulance apparently and made him feel worse,’ Ivan said.

Penrith captain Isaah Yeo described Cleary as ‘one of my best mates’ and ‘your brother out there’ as he reflected on the distress among the players.

Crossland was sent off and subsequently referred directly to the NRL judiciary, leaving his grand final availability unresolved.

Referee Gerard Sutton told the Newcastle hooker he had made a ‘definite action to twist’ before bringing his weight down on Cleary’s leg, creating an ‘extreme risk of serious injury’.

Despite playing the entire second half with 12 men, Newcastle won 22-14 to book a grand final clash with the Sydney Roosters.

2026 VMAs: The Night’s Most Memorable Worst-Dressed Celebrity Looks

Since 1984, celebrities stepping onto the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet have delivered some of pop culture’s most unforgettable fashion moments. But for every star who arrives looking flawless, there’s another who leaves fans wondering, “Why?” The 2026 celebration of music, fashion and film was no exception, with several celebrities missing the style mark in ways Charli XCX’s “Music, Fashion, Film” sandwich could not disguise.

Before the September 27 ceremony at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, viewers already had one major fashion moment to anticipate: Madonna was set to open the show. The “Bring Your Love” singer has long been known for taking bold style risks, and she established that reputation at the very first MTV VMAs with her iconic “Like a Virgin” wedding dress and cheeky “boy toy” belt. Other performers at the 2026 ceremony included Lisa, Shaboozey, Gunna, Kacey Musgraves, GENER8ION, Yung Lean, Sienna Spiro, Sombr, Teddy Swims and RAYE. Snoop Dogg hosted, while Taylor Swift — who still has not released photos from her star-studded wedding to Travis Kelce — received the inaugural Artist Director Honors award.

Swift’s new honor arrived shortly after the release of her “Cleveland!” bonus track, which poses the pointed question, “And with all of that money, why’s she dressed like trash?” We wouldn’t be quite so ruthless while channeling the late red-carpet critic Joan Rivers, but several of the night’s looks were undeniably disappointing.

Chanel West Coast took a wildcat to the wild wild west, and it went as you’d expect

Chanel West Coast’s most outrageous outfits have not typically leaned heavily into Western style, but that changed at the 2026 VMAs. The “Ridiculousness” personality appeared to be embracing her “Lil’ Bit Country” era, though the result was less “Choosin’ Texas” and more a confusing collision of trends. Leopard print, multiple layers, an oversized pendant and an asymmetrical skirt competed for attention. Even the addition of a cowboy hat couldn’t convince us that this city slicker was ready for the saddle.

Did someone give Bella Poarch a torch?

TikTok star Bella Poarch has traveled a long way from her lip-syncing videos, now sharing the VMAs red carpet with Madonna. Her deconstructed lace gown may have been intended as a tribute to the Material Girl’s famous bridal look, but there simply wasn’t enough fabric to make the reference work. Instead, the outfit recalled the Marie Antoinette-inspired dress Madonna wore to the 1990 VMAs after it had been scorched away, leaving behind a corset, lace thigh-highs and frayed, ragged layers.

Adam Lambert gave us American Horror Story: Idol

When excessive fabric is the only selling point of an outfit, the final result can feel like a whole lot of nothing. “American Idol” alum Adam Lambert is usually reliable when it comes to glamorous, theatrical fashion, but his oversized black robe ranked among the evening’s biggest disappointments. On a Ryan Murphy production, we might expect a dramatic surprise hidden underneath — perhaps enormous spider legs echoing the heavy-metal lettering on his headpiece. The feathered accessory spelling out his name was eye-catching, though similar head-turning pieces have already been worn by Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.

PinkPantheress’s polka-dot dress lacked bite

Wearing something this subdued to an event known for spectacular fashion should be “Illegal.” Ariana Grande landed on our 2025 MTV VMAs worst-dressed list for her “polka-don’t” gown, and PinkPantheress delivered a similarly sleepy take on the print trend. Between the ruffles, tiered floor-length skirt and oversized bust bow, the “Stateside” singer looked more prepared for a stylish lakeside brunch than one of music’s biggest red carpets.

Was Troye Sivan trying to smuggle an ostrich into the event?

The concept behind Troye Sivan’s look was easy enough to understand: Feathers and draped fabric can turn a basic suit into something more dramatic. Unfortunately, the execution missed the mark. Instead of elevating the “Party” singer’s tailoring from formulaic to fabulous, the feathered detail made it seem as though he was trying to rival Britney Spears’ famous snake moment by smuggling a feathered companion into the Peacock Theater.

Lisa was really sinking into that red recliner on her back

Lisa may not have landed among the night’s best dressed, but at least her plush red cape looked comfortable enough for a nap. The dramatic garment gave the impression that she was sinking into an oversized sofa chair or being wrapped up by Gossamer, the enormous, furry sneaker-wearing monster from the Looney Tunes cartoons. The cape’s cartoonish effect was reinforced by a gown that did little to refine the look, resembling a Victoria’s Secret nightgown expanded into a floor-length dress.

Instead of shedding that snakeskin on the red carpet, Tyla should have picked another outfit

If Tyla’s only objective at the 2026 MTV VMAs was to look ready for a “Hot & Sexy (Girls Trip),” she succeeded. Still, the “Water” singer had the star power to deliver something far more memorable than an outfit that might have left Britney Spears’ snake worried about its post-performance future. Tyla appeared to be shedding a low-rise snakeskin skirt from the late 1990s, paired with a bra that looked like a vintage Victoria’s Secret design. She looks stunning in almost anything, but this combination of dated clubwear and lingerie did not show off her full fashion potential.

At least Meek looked happy as a locker room loofah

Layering tulle over a dress and declaring it fashion is a long-standing red-carpet tradition, but some stars take the feminine impulse so far that they end up looking like shapeless loofahs. Why anyone would want to channel one of the most bacteria-covered objects in a bathroom remains unclear, yet Meek fully embraced the effect at the VMAs. The “Fabulous” singer added leg accessories that resembled football-pad laces and matching pants. So, even though Travis Kelce was not in attendance, Taylor Swift at least had a small reminder of him nearby.

Dave Grohl and Wife Jordyn Present United Front at MTV VMAs

0

Dave Grohl and his wife, Jordyn Blum, appeared together at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, signaling a show of unity two years after the musician’s paternity revelation placed their marriage under intense public scrutiny.

Grohl, 57, and Blum, 50, married in 2003 and share three daughters: Violet, 20, Harper, 17, and Ophelia, 12.

The Foo Fighters frontman sparked headlines in September 2024 when he announced that he had fathered a daughter “outside of my marriage.”

The child’s mother was identified the following February as Jennifer Young, a Florida-born rock music fan who now lives in Los Angeles.

By September, a source told People that Blum had forgiven Grohl and that the couple were “very happy” again.

The pair reinforced that impression on the red carpet outside Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, where Blum was seen wearing her wedding ring as she stood beside her husband.

The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Grohl for comment.

The couple were joined at the event by two of their daughters, creating a warm family scene as they posed for photographs.

With one arm around Blum, Grohl smiled at the cameras while his wife, dressed in coordinated black, beamed beside him.

The rocker embraced a relaxed look, pairing a slightly rumpled leather jacket with a turtleneck, jeans and leather shoes.

Blum’s fitted dress accentuated her waist before opening into a flowing, voluminous skirt.

Grohl attended the ceremony to accept the night’s top tribute, the Video Vanguard Award, alongside Nirvana, the band that launched him to fame during the 1990s.

Nirvana came to an end after frontman Kurt Cobain died by suicide in 1994 following a prolonged struggle with addiction and depression.

While walking the MTV VMAs red carpet, Grohl also reunited with Nirvana’s surviving members, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear.

Grohl has confirmed that his child from outside the marriage is a girl, but he has chosen to protect her privacy and has not publicly revealed her name.

However the little girl’s mother has publicly divulged that the baby was born on August 1, 2024, the month before Grohl took the news public, via Page Six.

Young noted that her daughter’s name was being kept under wraps ‘because there’s some really angry fans. Protecting her identity is really important.’

Although Young has no public social media pages and her present profession remains a mystery, she is known to have been a co-creator and writer of a series of comic books entitled Cannibal, according to League of Comic Books.

Last year, an insider indicated Grohl and Blum ‘never wanted a divorce,’ as they were ‘great parents’ and ‘idea of splitting up their family was too sad for both of them.’

Blum was said to have been ‘distraught’ at the news of the new baby, but the source noted that ‘the betrayal was painful for both of them.’

Grohl was said to have ‘felt terrible and begged her to forgive him,’ while Blum’s friends purportedly ‘encouraged her to fight.’

How would you handle public betrayal in a marriage—should forgiveness always come first?

When he publicly announced the birth of his youngest daughter, Grohl insisted both that he intended to be a ‘loving and supportive parent to her’ and that he was taking steps to ‘regain’ the ‘trust and forgiveness’ of his wife and their children.

In the immediate aftermath of the bombshell revelation, sources indicated Blum had been aware of the development for ‘a while’ before it went public, via People.

An insider exclusively informed the Daily Mail the following month that Blum was in a ‘state of confusion’ about the future of her relationship.

‘One day Jordyn Blum is ditching her wedding ring and vowing divorce from cheating husband Dave Grohl,’ said the source. ‘The next she’s at home wearing the ring and sobbing because she doesn’t want the marriage to end.’

By November 2024, an insider said Grohl was ‘no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife,’ according to People.

In March 2025, the couple were said to be in ‘counseling,’ with Grohl ‘doing anything he can to win back Jordyn’s trust,’ per Us Weekly.

Theranos Founder Elizabeth Holmes Shares Cryptic Prison Message

0

Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced Theranos founder, has issued a cryptic message from prison, once again insisting she is innocent and declaring: “The truth will set you free.”

Holmes, 42, wrote Sunday that she has spent “1,216 endless days and nights” behind bars as she prepares for a transfer to a halfway house.

Her X account has continued operating since she was sentenced for wire fraud in November 2022. However, Sunday’s message was the first to include the initials “EAH,” standing for Elizabeth Anne Holmes.

“I was silenced for a long time,” she wrote. “And then imprisoned. I am fighting to prove my innocence and come home to my babies and the love of my life.”

“I have now been imprisoned for 1,216 endless days and nights. During that time, as we fight for freedom, my loved ones have helped manage my account.”

“Billy is one of the people carrying that responsibility for me. He fights fiercely for me and our family. I love him beyond space and time.”

“Starting now, all posts in my own words will be marked – EAH.”

Holmes also thanked supporters who have sent her letters during her incarceration, ending the message with a reference to the Bible.

“Opening letters from my supporters at the end of unforgiving days constantly ignites the fire in my heart,” she wrote. “The truth will set you free. John 8:32. EAH.”

The mother of two also posted a loving pre-prison selfie with her 33-year-old husband, Billy Evans.

In the image, Holmes rests her head on Evans’ shoulder while wearing casual clothing and a dark blue Milwaukee Brewers baseball cap.

The timing of the photograph is unclear. Holmes is currently held at Federal Prison Camp Bryan, the same minimum-security, all-female facility where Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s former associate, is incarcerated.

Holmes is scheduled to move to the Austin Transitional Center, a privately operated 460-bed “community corrections center” in Del Valle, Texas, on Aug. 23, 2027.

She will remain under the supervision of the United States Probation Office.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to confirm the transfer, saying it “does not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual, including release plans,” in a statement to The Post.

“Additionally, per BOP policy, specific designation information cannot be released until after an individual arrives at their designated institution,” the statement added.

Residential reentry centers, commonly called halfway houses, help inmates prepare to return to the community. The facilities offer supervised support that can include employment counseling, job placement and financial management assistance, according to the Bureau of Prisons.

Holmes’ planned move comes while her commutation petition remains pending with the Trump administration. She submitted the request last year.

The founder of the now-defunct blood-testing company was convicted in 2022 on four counts of wire fraud and conspiracy for defrauding investors. She was also ordered to pay $452 million in restitution.

Holmes declined to plead guilty during her trial.

Prosecutors said Holmes lied to investors from 2010 to 2015 by promising Theranos’ technology could run many medical tests on a single drop of blood from a finger prick.

She was sentenced to 11 years and three months behind bars, but she’s eligible for release on Dec. 30, 2031, after having a year shaved off her sentence.

Despite being convicted, she maintains her innocence.

“I refused to plead guilty to crimes I did not commit,” she told People in February 2025.

Holmes’ month before she started her prison sentence will be documented in the Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim-directed movie, “You Can See Everything,” which will be released on Oct. 16.

The film was recorded in secret – and its first screening happened at Telluride Film Festival earlier this month.

A trailer, which coincided with the screening, was released and in the snippet, convicted liar Holmes told her co-star, Fielder, “I’m not deceiving you.”

Pope Urges France’s Faith Leaders to Uphold Europe’s Unity

0

METZ – Pope Leo XIV called on religious leaders Monday to promote peace, unity and reconciliation as he concluded his visit to France by highlighting the spirit of dialogue that helped lay the foundation for Europe’s post-World War II cooperation.

The pope traveled to Metz, an eastern French city near the borders of Luxembourg and Germany, for an interfaith gathering at a conference center named after Robert Schuman. The French Catholic statesman is widely recognized as one of the architects of European integration.

By choosing Metz as the final stop of his four-day trip, Leo underscored his call for Europe to draw on its long tradition of dialogue while confronting modern challenges including war, migration and growing political polarization.

Addressing Jewish, Muslim, Protestant and Orthodox representatives, Leo pointed to Schuman’s willingness to engage even with former adversaries. He said religious leaders share a duty to build relationships across national and religious boundaries in pursuit of peace.

“Indeed, to invoke God’s name in order to justify violence or oppression is to profane that name,” he said. “Religious discourse must constantly call for the disarmament of hearts and words.”

Large crowds and a military escort

Throughout his trip to France, a nation once known for its strong Catholic identity but now officially secular, Leo urged Europeans to reconsider the continent’s Christian heritage and its relevance to today’s moral and geopolitical debates.

During Sunday’s visit to the Catholic sanctuary at Lourdes, he criticized France’s recently approved medically assisted dying legislation as “false compassion.” The pope also drew enormous crowds across the country. About 800,000 people attended his Mass at Paris’ landmark Place de la Concorde, a turnout that exceeded organizers’ expectations.

On Monday morning, two French fighter jets escorted the Air France charter carrying Leo from Lourdes to Metz.

For his final appearance in France later Monday, Leo was scheduled to celebrate Mass at Metz’s Cathedral of St. Stephen. The landmark is celebrated for its soaring Gothic architecture and expansive stained-glass windows, including works created by 20th-century Jewish artist Marc Chagall.

The cathedral’s brilliant colored glass has earned it the nickname “Lanterne du Bon Dieu,” or “The Good Lord’s Lantern.”

A statesman who brought former rivals to the table

Schuman’s legacy is closely tied to the Schuman Declaration, issued in 1950, just five years after the end of World War II. The proposal called for France and Germany to place their coal and steel industries under a shared authority, transforming historic competition into cooperation.

As Europe struggled to recover from wartime devastation, the plan rested on the idea that linking the nations’ economies would make another conflict between them “not merely unthinkable, but materially impossible.”

The European Coal and Steel Community became the first in a series of institutions that eventually developed into today’s European Union.

Schuman, who took part in the resistance and was imprisoned by the Nazis, was designated “venerable” by the Catholic Church in 2021. The title represents a step toward possible recognition as a saint.

Treasury Secretary Bessent Warns Iran Has Two Weeks of Trade Left

0

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that Iran could have “nothing left to trade for anything” within about two weeks, once its remaining oil shipments reach China. He argued that the Trump administration’s economic pressure campaign has pushed Tehran “to its knees” and is prompting the regime to pursue a deal.

Bessent said roughly 15 million barrels of Iranian oil remain at sea as the United States enforces a blockade on Iran’s exports. Once those shipments are delivered, Tehran could be close to losing one of its last significant sources of revenue.

“I am confident, given that there are only 15 million more barrels of Iranian oil on the water, that Iran will have nothing left to trade for anything,” Bessent told Fox News’s Larry Kudlow on Sunday Morning Futures.

He estimated that the remaining supply would be delivered within approximately two weeks.

“Probably within the next two weeks, they are going to make their final deliveries of oil to China, and then they will have nothing,” Bessent said. “It is an empty set, and I believe they are feeling the pressure here and that’s why they want a deal.”

Bessent spoke as President Donald Trump rejected Tehran’s latest offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz while indicating that negotiations could resume this week. Trump said Iran is now seeking terms that Washington might have accepted before the war began.

“They want to make a deal, but it is not the deal that I want to make,” Trump told Axios on Sunday. “It is what we would have maybe agreed to a year ago. They overplayed their hand.”

Bessent said Iran’s offer to reopen the strait within seven days should not be viewed as a major concession, noting that millions of barrels of oil from other countries are already passing through the waterway under U.S. protection.

“The straits are open,” Bessent said. “If you take out the Iranian oil, which we are not letting out, we’re averaging now 15 to 22 million barrels a day; it was at about 20 pre-conflict.”

He presented the oil flows as a stark indication of the balance of power in the strategic waterway.

“Think of it this way: the score is United States, one billion — more than one billion barrels have gotten out — and Iran, zero.”

The blockade is operating alongside Operation Economic Outcast, a broad financial pressure campaign that Bessent launched at Trump’s direction in late August. The effort is aimed at cutting off Iran’s remaining economic lifelines and excluding the regime from the international financial system.

The initiative has reached beyond Iran’s borders. Treasury officials have contacted more than 50 countries, urging governments, banks, airlines, and companies to choose between preserving business ties with Tehran and retaining access to the United States. Jonathan Burke, Treasury’s assistant secretary for terrorist financing, recently carried that message to Iran’s commercial partners during visits to the Middle East and Europe.

Bessent pointed to several developments as evidence of the campaign’s impact. He said U.S. pressure led Turkey and Oman to take action against Iran’s Mahan Air, the United Arab Emirates to suspend Iranian airline service and restrict Bank Melli, and Turkey to act against Bank Mellat. Treasury has also widened its focus to Iran’s maritime, cryptocurrency, and other sanctions-evasion networks.

Bessent said Sunday that the combined measures are steadily cutting Iran off from the global economy.

“They are isolated from the world,” he said. “They are a pariah state.”

Trump echoed Bessent’s assessment Sunday evening, describing the economic campaign and U.S. military pressure as complementary parts of the broader conflict with Iran.

Asked by Fox News whether Treasury’s economic campaign could help the United States prevail, Trump said he expected both economic and military pressure to produce results.

“I think both,” Trump said. “I think we’ll win it both ways.”

He also said the United States had “already won it, really, from a military standpoint,” while warning that the campaign against Iran may not yet be finished.

“That doesn’t mean we’ve stopped that,” he said. “But we’re certainly winning it very big.”

Trump predicted the conflict would end “very soon” and cast preventing Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon as the overriding U.S. objective.

“And the key is Iran will not have a nuclear weapon,” Trump emphasized. “That’s the key to the whole thing.”

That nuclear demand is now at the center of efforts to revive negotiations. The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that mediators are pressing Tehran to offer a concession on its nuclear program following Trump’s rejection of Iran’s proposal, although Iran has so far given them little indication that it is prepared to do so.

Tehran has sought relief from the blockade and sanctions, access to billions of dollars in frozen assets and other concessions as part of a return to negotiations. Washington, meanwhile, has insisted that Iran address its nuclear program and sees little reason to surrender leverage that administration officials argue is strengthening by the day.

Bessent made clear that he sees the pressure campaign as serving a purpose beyond simply bringing Tehran back to the negotiating table: changing the terms under which Iran arrives there and ensuring that any new agreement is harder for the regime to abandon.

“My job is to make sure that, when they come with a deal, that they want to stick to it,” Bessent said, pointing to Iran’s failure to abide by the previous memorandum of understanding.

This time, he argued, Washington intends to negotiate from a dramatically different position.

“Next time, if there is a deal — and that’s at President Trump’s discretion — they will stick to it,” Bessent said. “Because they are on their knees.”

The tiny clues that exposed an Iran bomb plot at an RAF base

0

Seemingly minor details on a van outside a British military base may have helped expose a group of suspected terrorists after an alleged Iranian plot was stopped at the last moment.

One of three vans intercepted near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire yesterday drew suspicion because the phone number and business lettering displayed on its side appeared to be fabricated.

Five men were stopped in the vans, which were reportedly packed with explosives, around 350 yards from the airbase. RAF Fairford has been used by American forces to launch air strikes against the regime in Tehran.

The farmer who alerted police said the vehicles immediately seemed suspicious because the information painted on their sides did not appear genuine.

A major incident was declared, while images shared online showed one of the vans carrying the words ‘Fuel 2You’ in red lettering, along with a telephone number.

Social media users circulated the photographs alongside details of a legitimate company based in Beaconsfield called ‘Fuel2U’, whose branding is green and black.

Observers also noted that the number beneath the apparent fake business name — 0742 418 2599 — had been grouped in a 434 format, a style predominantly associated with Iran.

British mobile numbers are generally written in a 533 or 56 format, meaning the number would typically appear as 07424 182599 or 07424 182 599. The number was also found to be out of service.

When the Daily Mail called the number this morning, a recorded message stated: ‘The number you have dialled is not in service. Please check the number and try your call again.’

Others questioned the use of a red logo for a fuel delivery business, noting that petrol pumps in Britain are typically green. Red is the colour commonly used for petrol pumps in Iran.

Fuel2U issued a statement categorically denying any connection to the incident at Fairford, saying it was ‘extremely concerned’ that its name had been placed on one of the vans.

The fuel delivery company also urged the public not to threaten its employees, warning that any threatening messages would be reported to police.

A Fuel2U spokesman said: ‘We want to make it absolutely clear that neither the vehicle nor any of the individuals involved has any connection whatsoever with Fuel2U, its directors, employees or current business operations.

‘We are extremely concerned that our company’s name has been used without our knowledge or permission. We are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities and will assist them with any enquiries.’

It added: ‘Fuel2U strongly condemns any unlawful or dangerous activity. We thank the police, emergency services and specialist teams for their continuing work to protect the public and investigate this matter.

‘We understand that people may have questions, but we respectfully ask that members of the public do not contact or threaten our staff. Any threatening or abusive communications will be recorded and reported to the police.’

It is understood that Fuel2U has two vans and they were both in London yesterday.

The farmer also said that she spotted the vehicles ‘blocking the road’ while she was driving home, before seeing a ‘large group of hooded and ‘balaclava’d’ men’.

‘They would have seen the bright headlights,’ she said. ‘They probably thought we were the police (and) panicked.’

She added: ‘It would appear that by doing so I just derailed whatever they were planning.’

Officers arrived on the scene around 15 minutes after she dialled 999, she said.

A cordon was put in place near RAF Fairford and more than 80 evacuated households were unable to return home.

Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said he was ‘really grateful’ to the resident, who has asked not to be identified.

But he added that ‘she does only have a partial picture – and that’s as far as I wish to go this morning’.

US President Donald Trump said the alleged plotters were ‘looking to do big damage’ to the base. He added: ‘It was fantastic. Working with Britain, it was an amazing job.’
