Their arrival in Brisbane followed an extended wedding celebration in Sicily with a group of close friends.

Jett and Lily married in the hilltop town of Taormina on September 4, later taking their guests on a boat trip along the Italian coast.

Images posted to social media showed the group enjoying cocktails and beers on the bow of a yacht, while also playing a personalised card game featuring the couple’s new married name.

The lavish Taormina ceremony came after the pair quietly exchanged vows at a Brisbane courthouse in June.

Earlier this month, reports revealed that the couple had begun married life in an unusual fashion, surrounded by friends.

Meanwhile, Jett was dapper in a loose-fitting grey suit worn with a white dress shirt and pinned cream flowers, which matched Lily’s bouquet, to his lapel.

The couple posed up a storm in front of a rustic, historic building, embracing and sharing celebratory kisses.

After the wedding, Jett’s divorced parents proved they are friendly exes as they partied together at his reception.

Documenting the nuptials, the Olympians could be seen sitting across from one another and enjoying wine and pasta with their extended family and friends.

Grant, 63, sat alongside Jett while Lisa, 64, sat with her husband, Mark Tabone, proving that the blended family all gets along.

After two weddings and a sun-soaked honeymoon, Mr and Mrs Kenny are clearly loving every minute of married life.

Patrick Clancy Says He Suffered ‘Massive Traumatic Panic Attack’ During Wife Lindsay Clancy’s Trial

0

Taking the witness stand at Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial forced Patrick Clancy to revisit the most traumatic experience of his life.

In July, he described the events of Jan. 24, 2023, when he discovered his children, Cora, 5, and Dawson, 3, dead inside their home. Lindsay was found outside, bleeding after jumping from a second-story window. Their 8-month-old son, Callan, died four days later at Boston Children’s Hospital.

“Testifying is very difficult,” Patrick said during a Sept. 20 interview with 60 Minutes. He recalled taking a break before prosecutors played the 911 call, which he knew would be “just horrific.” In a back room, he said, he experienced a severe traumatic panic attack.

“My heart was pounding,” Patrick recalled. An ambulance was brought for him, and medical staff offered medication. He declined, telling them, “I don’t want it, because I want to go back and I want to finish this so I can be done with this.” He returned to the courtroom and completed his testimony.

During the interview, which also included his wife, Rachel Danis, Patrick revealed that he experienced suicidal thoughts after the deaths of his children.

“There was a time where I didn’t think I would live to see my 35th birthday,” said Patrick, now 36. “And I was completely fine with it.”

Although Rachel did not testify, Patrick spent two days on the stand discussing Lindsay’s mental health, their former marriage and what happened on the day their three children died.

The trial also fueled a wave of conspiracy theories across social media.

Patrick told 60 Minutes that the online rumors were “deeply harmful to the legacy of my children.” He said they distract from the central issue of perinatal mental health and have caused “real harm to real people,” including himself.

“It’s painful to see,” he continued. The speculation, he said, has made it harder for him to appear in public. He also worries that people exposed to “lie after lie after lie” may eventually accept those claims as true.

What Happened in Lindsay Clancy’s Murder Trial?

Lindsay’s trial concluded after more than a month of testimony and seven days of deliberations. The 12 jurors ultimately could not reach a unanimous verdict.

Lindsay faced three counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors argued that she intentionally killed Cora, Dawson and Callan on Jan. 24, 2023, before trying to take her own life.

Her defense team acknowledged that she killed the children but argued that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis and had been overmedicated. As a result, they maintained, she was not criminally responsible for her actions.

How Did Patrick Clancy Meet Rachel Danis?

Several months after the children’s deaths and Lindsay’s arrest, Patrick left Massachusetts for New York City. That spring, he was jogging in Manhattan when he met Rachel. Their chance meeting developed into a relationship and eventually a marriage.

With the trial bringing renewed attention to their relationship, Rachel has pushed back against online criticism of her marriage to Patrick.

“I don’t understand how the story has been so twisted,” she said in a 60 Minutes teaser. Rachel described Patrick as “the most selfless father and supportive partner,” adding, “I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”

Convicted Cannibal Who Dismembered Roommate Moves Closer to Release

0

Daniel Rakowitz, the convicted killer once branded the “Butcher of Tompkins Square Park,” has reportedly been transferred from a maximum-security psychiatric hospital to a facility with fewer security restrictions. The move has prompted speculation among hospital workers that he could eventually be considered for release.

Rakowitz, now 65, was prosecuted in 1991 over the 1989 killing and dismemberment of his roommate, Monika Beerle. During the trial, testimony alleged that he later gave some of her remains to homeless people in New York’s Tompkins Square Park.

A jury determined that Rakowitz was not criminally responsible because of insanity. He was subsequently confined to the Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center on Wards Island, a maximum-security psychiatric institution.

But sources recently told the New York Post that Rakowitz was transferred about two years ago to the Manhattan Psychiatric Center, which is also located on Wards Island but operates with a lower level of security.

One unnamed source claimed the center has been “letting people out prematurely every day” and suggested Rakowitz could eventually be among those allowed to leave.

“They [hospital administrators] kept it a soft opening, like letting people know just before they moved him,” the source said. “They’re trying to get us used to it.”

The source added that employees were stunned when they encountered Rakowitz walking through the lower-security section of the hospital.

Kirby generally receives patients committed through the court system, while Manhattan Psychiatric Center provides both inpatient treatment and outpatient care.

Newspaper clippings said at the time that a holdout juror was responsible for the 'not guilty' verdict

Contemporary newspaper reports claimed a lone juror was behind the jury’s “not guilty” decision

The Manhattan Psychiatric Center also has transitional-living arrangements designed to help some patients move toward greater independence after hospitalization.

New York’s Office of Mental Health, which supervises the state-operated hospitals, declined to confirm whether Rakowitz had been transferred, citing patient privacy rules. The Daily Mail has also requested comment from the agency.

In 2010, Rakowitz asked the New York Supreme Court to move him to a less restrictive institution. The request was rejected, and he was ordered to remain at Kirby.

Then-Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance said the ruling “continues to protect the residents of New York.”

The case drew widespread attention after Rakowitz was acquitted by reason of insanity. Earlier this month, The View co-host Sunny Hostin said she had been the lone holdout juror in the Rakowitz trial while discussing the Lindsay Clancy case.

Clancy faced trial for the deaths of her three children. Jurors were reportedly prepared to return a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity after hearing arguments about postpartum psychosis, but one juror objected, resulting in a mistrial.

“The reason I feel so strongly about this holdout juror is because I was a holdout juror in a case, in the Daniel Rakowitz case,” Hostin said.

Hostin explained that she believed Rakowitz was experiencing psychosis at the time. “He did not mean to kill her, and once he killed her, he panicked,” she said, describing allegations that he dismembered Beerle, boiled parts of her body and distributed them to unhoused people.

Rakowitz was a known character in the East Village for selling marijuana and walking around with a live chicken, pictured above. He has been held in a maximum-security facility, but has reportedly been moved to another center on Ward's Island

Rakowitz was a familiar figure in New York’s East Village, where he reportedly sold marijuana and walked the streets with a live chicken. After years in a maximum-security psychiatric hospital, he has reportedly been transferred to another facility on Wards Island

Hostin recalled that jury deliberations were intense, and one of her fellow jurors threw a chair at her amidst a heated discussion.

The co-host’s claims were later called into question when unearthed newspaper clippings cited the holdout juror as an unemployed man who wanted the trial to continue so he could be paid and get free meals.

The New York Times reported at the time that one holdout juror convinced the others not to deliver a guilty verdict.

‘We don’t think he intended to kill her. But once he did, he dismembered her body in an effort to commit the perfect crime,’ juror Asuncion Cummings was quoted in the Times after the case concluded. Asuncion Cummings is Hostin’s full maiden name.

After jurors delivered their decision, Rakowitz thanked them and said he hoped ‘someday we can smoke a joint together.’

‘The prosecution had an overwhelming case against me. But I’ll be getting out soon and I’ll sell a lot of marijuana so I can bring to justice the people who actually committed this crime,’ he added.

Rakowitz testified during the trial that he would rather go to prison than a mental hospital because he did not want to be medicated.

He denied killing Beerle, who was a 29-year-old dance student, but did confess to dismembering her, then bleaching and boiling her bones.

One witness testified that Rakowitz served a homeless man at the park soup that contained a human finger.

Before the nauseating crime, Rakowitz was a known character in the East Village neighborhood for selling marijuana and walking around with a live chicken. He called himself the ‘God of Marijuana.’

“I love you.”

Ayers’ post arrived nearly one week after Dart suffered a season-ending left knee injury in the Giants’ 28-6 loss to the Rams.

The injury occurred just seven snaps into the game, when Dart was hit high and low by two Rams defenders and landed awkwardly on his knee.

Although an injury of that nature would typically end a player’s season, the 23-year-old quarterback chose to undergo surgery immediately in hopes of returning later this season.

Giants head coach John Harbaugh has likewise declined to rule Dart out if the team reaches the playoffs, despite the injury generally requiring four to six months of recovery.

“I was excited that they were going to get to it right away,” Harbaugh said. “That was something that could be done quickly, so that was good.”

Hamas leader’s ex-bodyguard reportedly received UK asylum, citizenship

0

A former bodyguard to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh allegedly secured asylum and British citizenship before being accused of helping plan a terror attack targeting Jewish people in Europe.

The man, referred to as Mr X because of legal restrictions, was reportedly granted refugee status in the UK in 2015. At the time, he was alleged to have previously served on the personal protection team of Haniyeh, who then led Hamas in Gaza.

He was also reportedly arrested in Egypt over claims that he supervised a tunnel used to move weapons and gold into Gaza.

Mr X, a married man in his forties and the father of children, is now facing extradition to Germany. Prosecutors accuse him of helping organise a planned attack in October 2025 against Israeli diplomats, pro-Israel rallies and Jewish communities in Germany or Austria.

Investigators believe the alleged attacks were timed to fall close to the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks, which killed about 1,200 people.

He is also due to stand trial in Britain in an unrelated criminal case. Should he be found guilty, he would serve a prison sentence in the UK before being sent to Germany to face accusations of obtaining weapons for Hamas.

National Crime Agency officers arrested the alleged former Hamas bodyguard in central London last November after intelligence about the suspected plot was passed to Mossad and German intelligence and security agencies.

German authorities coordinated with international partners, including the UK, in an operation that led to the detention of seven suspects and the seizure of weapons, among them an AK-47 rifle.

An indictment obtained first by German newspaper Bild says Mr X, who remains in custody in Britain, is accused of delivering weapons to a storage unit in Vienna.

The indictment further alleges that he recorded a video of himself standing before a Hamas flag while masked and carrying a weapon. In the footage, he reportedly described the proposed attack as retaliation on behalf of the Ezzidine al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing.

Prosecutors claim that in July last year he transported five handguns, ammunition, woollen hats, neck warmers and gloves from Berlin before placing them in a rented storage facility in Vienna.

A law enforcement source described Mr X as an “essential” participant in the alleged operation, according to The Sunday Times.

Despite claims that the alleged plot ranked among Germany’s most serious recent terror threats, Mr X cannot currently be identified. His lawyer argued that naming him could affect the outcome of the separate UK criminal proceedings.

Sources say Mr X joined Haniyeh’s security detail around the time Hamas secured a decisive victory in Palestine’s legislative elections.

Haniyeh went on to lead Gaza for the following decade after Hamas defeated its rival Fatah in a civil conflict and took control of the territory.

Egyptian authorities are believed to have detained Mr X sometime between 2009 and 2012 over allegations that he ran a tunnel used to smuggle guns.

He left Gaza in 2012 and reached Britain by 2015, where he reportedly joined other senior Hamas figures and members of the group’s predecessor, the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Home Office, under then-Home Secretary Theresa May, granted asylum to the alleged former Hamas security operative. It remains unclear how much officials knew about his suspected involvement in the group’s internal operations.

He was later granted British citizenship and settled with his wife and children in a suburban home near an English city.

The father has used two properties in the same English city in recent years but does not own either of them.

Mr X changed his name at least once, according to sources, with Companies House records showing UK entities incorporated under several identities.

He left positive reviews for local businesses under a Google Maps account as recently as two years ago – all while attending protests outside the Israeli embassy.

Online pictures show him standing alongside Haniyeh, including one where he escorts the Hamas leader in Gaza through a throng of supporters holding Kalashnikovs.

Haniyeh was assassinated by Mossad in Tehran in July 2024, just months after the October 7 attacks.

As a vocal spokesperson and intermediary for Hamas on the world stage, Haniyeh had described the October 7 attacks as ‘an earthquake that struck the heart of the Zionist entity’ and vowed to continue the fight to ‘liberate… all our land’.

But for years, the ‘overall leader’ of Hamas had lived a life of luxury outside of Gaza, drawing the ire of many Gazans who felt he had become ‘out of touch’ after rising to the top of Hamas’ political structure in its early years in power.

As he decried poverty in the beleaguered Gaza Strip, Haniyeh became the wealthiest of Hamas’ leaders, jetting between five-star hotels in Doha and Istanbul while Hamas siphoned millions in international aid for military use.

Police found Mr X’s pre-recorded video while raiding a property and it is believed the clip was filmed in Vienna.

Seven others were last year arrested over the alleged planned attack including two German citizens, one Dane, one Bulgarian and three Lebanese suspects.

A German intelligence asset, who allegedly went rogue, is alleged to have been a co-conspirator of the plotted terror attack.

The Daily Mail has approached the Home Office for comment.

Top NFL Draft QB Prospect Knocked Unconscious in Frightening Hit

0

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore was knocked unconscious by a frightening hit during the Ducks’ matchup with USC, then taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Moore is widely viewed as one of the leading quarterback prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft after choosing to return to Oregon for his junior season.

His latest college appearance, however, was interrupted by a disturbing incident with 10 minutes left in the first half at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Facing second-and-nine, Moore moved forward through the pocket and scrambled beyond the line needed for a first down.

Near the 12-yard line, he began a feet-first slide. USC defender Desman Stephens II lowered his shoulder and delivered a forceful blow to Moore’s head as the quarterback went down.

Moore appeared to lose consciousness immediately. His body stiffened, while his arms moved into an unusual position commonly described as a fencing response.

The Oregon quarterback was struck in the head by a shoulder as he slid for a first down in the second quarter.

Moore was loaded straight into an ambulance and rushed to hospital after lengthy treatment

After receiving lengthy treatment, Moore was placed in an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital.

The collision immediately sparked a confrontation, with Oregon players and coaches rushing toward Stephens II. The USC defender appeared to celebrate before Moore’s teammates challenged him.

Officials ultimately ejected Stephens II for targeting, while medical personnel continued treating Moore on the field.

The defender was also seen smiling and exchanging high-fives with USC teammates on the sideline while Moore remained down, drawing heavy criticism across social media.

An ambulance was brought down beside the field after Moore had been stabilized. As he was loaded inside, his Oregon teammates gathered nearby and prayed for him.

According to the NBC broadcast, Moore had movement in his arms and was transported to Los Angeles General Medical Center for further evaluation.

NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay said the officials made the correct decision in enforcing the targeting penalty and ejecting Stephens II.

“The moment he begins his slide, he is considered defenseless,” McAulay explained.

“The defender leads with his shoulder and makes forcible contact with the head and neck area. There is no question this is targeting.”

Moore is one of the top quarterback prospects expected to enter the 2027 NFL Draft

Moore is regarded as one of the premier quarterback prospects expected to be eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft.

Both teams also received unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for their reactions, meaning all players on both sides were one unsportsmanlike penalty in the rest of the game away from being ejected.

Play resumed with Oregon trailing 10-3 and former Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola replacing Moore at quarterback. He threw a three-yard touchdown pass to cap off the drive that Moore orchestrated before being hurt.

Even USC fans were enraged by Stephens’ reaction to the injury, with TrojansWire writing on X: ‘Forget about any Big 10 suspension for Desman Stephens. USC should not allow him to play for the Trojans again. He doesn’t seem to care. Not showing any contrition for that is *completely* unacceptable. No place in the program for that.’

Another user wrote: ‘How on Earth does Desman Stephens celebrate this? In what world of sports is this even remotely close to being considered a good play? Kick that idiot out of college football. Im mind blown.’

A further response read: ‘This is the USC player that tried to end Dante Moore’s career. Desman Stephens is very pleased with himself. Absolutely disgusting behavior after sending someone away in an ambulance.’

Moore was projected to be one of the top picks in the most recent NFL Draft before he decided to stay in school.

He has had a mixed start to the season, losing to Oklahoma State in a Week 2 upset, but NFL Draft expert Todd McShay recently insisted he is still right on course to be a top-five pick.

‘Dante looks good. Like Dante is still making the throws,’ he noted. ‘There’s an element you want to see as an evaluator though where at some point – we all know the level of poise he has, and the way he carries himself, and the maturity he has, and the smarts he has at that position is all highly coveted – but at some point a quarterback has to kind of take the reins of the team.

‘Whether its vocal, whether its by example, just setting the bar. ‘This is the expectation.’ We now are going to see the rest of the season what Moore is made of in that regard…. Moore’s going to be a top-five pick. This is not a Cade Klubnik or Drew Allar situation where they’re overrated.’

Reba McEntire Reveals Dolly Parton’s Missed Call Before Her Mother’s Death

0

Reba McEntire says she missed a call from Dolly Parton and was never able to reconnect with the country music legend before Parton died roughly a month later.

“She did call me the last of July, and I was in a meeting and I missed her call,” McEntire, the singer behind “Fancy,” told Entertainment Tonight in an interview released Friday.

McEntire said she repeatedly tried to reach Parton afterward, but the two never managed to speak. “I tried to get back in touch with her, and I couldn’t. Never made connection,” she said.

When McEntire, 71, learned on Aug. 25 that “Dolly’s gone,” she said her immediate thought was, “I’ll never know why she called me.”

Even so, McEntire said she remains hopeful that she will “find out one day.”

Earlier this month, McEntire paid tribute to Parton at the Emmy Awards, performing the late singer’s song “Appalachian Memories.”

Dressed in a sparkling white gown, the “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” singer delivered an emotional rendition accompanied by a live symphony.

After Parton died last month at age 80, McEntire also remembered her longtime friend and fellow country star in a heartfelt social media tribute.

“Well, I just got the news that my buddy Dolly passed onto the higher and greater side,” McEntire wrote. “Dolly, thank you for all the wonderful things you did for us here on earth.”

“Your love, your music and you gave so much with your huge huge heart,” she continued. “There will never ever be another you. We will remember and cherish every memory and every note you ever played and sang.”

McEntire added that Parton was “gonna have a blast in heaven singing all her favorite songs with all her family and friends who have gone on before her.” She also said she would “never forget” either the first time they met or their final conversation.

“I hold it with love in my heart,” McEntire said of those memories.

During her Entertainment Tonight interview, McEntire described her last completed conversation with Parton as “really special.” Although she knew Parton was busy, McEntire said, “I didn’t want to let her go.”

Parton’s cause of death was confirmed the day she died, when her representatives revealed that she had been privately battling cancer.

“After bravely facing a brief battle with cancer, Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones,” her representatives said in a statement to Page Six Tuesday. They did not disclose the type of cancer.

Days later, Parton’s loved ones gathered in Nashville, where the “Jolene” singer was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum beside her late husband, Carl Dean.

Dean died in March 2025 at age 82.

After Parton’s death, her sisters Freida and Stella cryptically addressed online rumors of a family feud. The speculation followed the reported firing of Parton’s nephew and head of security, Bryan Seaver.

Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, has since sued Seaver, accusing him of attempting to extort money and making deadly threats. However, insiders told Page Six they fear Nozell simply “wants the family out of the picture.”

Pope Leo Draws 800,000 Worshippers to Paris for Major Outdoor Mass

0

Pope Leo XIV drew an estimated 800,000 people to central Paris on Saturday for a vast open-air Mass, filling one of France’s most historic public spaces as he urged Catholics to share their faith openly in an “increasingly secularized society.”

Crowds waving flags lined the Champs-Élysées and Place de la Concorde as the American pope traveled about 1.2 miles through the French capital in the popemobile before celebrating Mass.

The Vatican estimated that 800,000 people attended—about 200,000 more than the number who registered ahead of time.

Families and other worshippers gathered along the route, lifting babies and young children toward the popemobile as Leo greeted the crowds on his way through Paris.

“Seeing you gathered here,” Leo told the faithful, was like looking upon the “heirs of France’s long and beautiful history of faith,” according to Vatican News.

He urged French Catholics to share that religious inheritance rather than keep it to themselves.

“Let it overflow, so that those you meet may be refreshed and their thirst satisfied,” Leo said. “From this beautiful city of Paris, I pray fervently that the living water of the Holy Spirit may flow throughout France.”

The Mass took place against the backdrop of France’s longstanding commitment to secularism, giving the event added significance.

Place de la Concorde was once an execution site during the French Revolution, where the devoutly Catholic King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette were guillotined. Today, the square is strongly linked to the French republic and is a regular venue for Bastille Day celebrations.

The choice of the square for a papal Mass drew criticism from advocates of France’s strict separation of church and state, who said a different location would have been more suitable.

The gathering also created a vivid contrast with another major Paris spectacle held just two years earlier.

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics sparked international controversy over a tableau featuring drag performers. Christian leaders and other critics said the scene mocked Christianity.

While in Paris, his agenda includes a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, a prayer service at Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the open-air Mass along the Champs-Élysées. The French Bishops’ Conference said the ceremony “included scenes of mockery and derision of Christianity,” adding that Christians worldwide had been “hurt by the outrageousness and provocation of certain scenes.”

Critics widely viewed the tableau as a parody of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper,” an interpretation disputed by Olympic organizers.

Leo’s visit comes as France records a notable rise in adult conversions, even while overall participation in Catholicism continues its decades-long decline.

According to The Associated Press, annual adult baptisms in France have tripled since 2016, reaching 13,000 this year. Overall baptisms, however, have dropped sharply over the longer term—from 513,000 in 1980 to 186,000 in 2024.

Leo thanked French families, young people, catechumens and new Christians for bearing witness to their faith in what he described as an “increasingly secularized society,” according to Vatican News.

The scale of the pope’s reception was already apparent the night before the Mass as some 80,000 young people packed France’s national stadium Friday for a vigil featuring fireworks and a theatrical retelling of the country’s Catholic history.

“Thank you for your courage! Thank you for your presence,” Leo told them in French. “Thank you for your faith. You are the saints of France!”

At Saturday’s Mass, Leo invoked France’s Catholic heritage and drew on the biblical image of “living water,” telling worshippers that Jesus Christ could satisfy humanity’s desire for “life, truth, unity, peace, communion, and happiness.”

He also invoked French Catholic saints including Irenaeus, Martin and Francis de Sales while praising those who continue to work for “life, the family, truth, peace, fraternity and justice.”

The sea of people rivaled some of the largest public celebrations to fill the Champs-Élysées in recent decades, including France’s World Cup victories in 1998 and 2018, according to the AP.

Leo’s four-day trip to France began Friday with a visit to the restored Notre Dame Cathedral, the first by a pope since the devastating 2019 fire.

He traveled Saturday night to Lourdes, one of the Catholic Church’s most visited pilgrimage sites.
