5 Netflix Shows Better Than Tires You’ll Love Binging

0

Netflix has built a reputation for cutting promising shows down before they have a chance to grow, leaving behind a graveyard of terrific one-season series that fans still mourn. Yet somehow, “Tires,” Shane Gillis’ workplace comedy, has made it to three seasons — the same number Fox originally gave “Arrested Development.” The series stars Gillis as Shane Flanagan, a mechanic at an auto-repair shop in West Chester, Pennsylvania, whose main talent appears to be making life harder for his cousin and co-worker, Will Jacobs, played by Steve Gerben.

Gillis does not come to “Tires” with much scripted screen-acting experience, and the show rarely lets viewers forget it. Critics have largely met the comedy with indifference, and it has not broken through as the kind of quotable, meme-generating hit that keeps streaming sitcoms alive in the cultural conversation. That may partly reflect how difficult it is for half-hour comedies to thrive in the binge-watch era, but even with that caveat, “Tires” never feels like essential Netflix viewing. Anyone searching the platform for sharp, reliable laughs would be better off steering clear.

Fortunately, Netflix has plenty of stronger comedy options that deliver what “Tires” struggles to provide: distinctive voices, memorable characters, and jokes that actually land. The following Netflix comedies are not merely better by comparison; they are acclaimed, inventive shows that stand on their own. In that context, spending time with Shane Gillis’ low-energy antics feels even less worthwhile.

BoJack Horseman

When “Tires” reaches for emotional depth, its efforts are often weakened by the limited dramatic range of its central performers. Viewers looking for a Netflix comedy that can be devastating one moment and wildly funny the next should turn to “BoJack Horseman,” one of the defining television achievements of the 2010s. What began as a Hollywood satire set in a world where humans and anthropomorphic animals coexist gradually evolved into a layered character study of BoJack, voiced by Will Arnett, as he confronts addiction, self-destruction, and the damage he inflicts on the people around him.

The darkest choices BoJack makes over the course of “BoJack Horseman” remain genuinely haunting, while the show’s most emotionally ambitious episodes are just as unforgettable. Few series have balanced visual invention and painful honesty so well, moving from an imaginative depiction of an Alzheimer’s-stricken mind to a throwaway gag about “Tom Hardy (who is a cat)” written on a whiteboard. That fearless tonal range powered some of the show’s boldest swings, including a nearly dialogue-free underwater episode, as well as its most crushing dramatic moments.

There’s never been a show like “BoJack Horseman,” and it reflected an exciting (and, unfortunately, often unrealized today) portrait of the kind of unorthodox programs only Netflix could house. It’d be egregious to spend any time watching “Tires” when the exploits of Todd Sanchez (Aaron Paul) are on the same platform.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return

“Tires” came from Shane Gillis putting up his own money for the show before Netflix stepped in to present it to the world. It’s admirable that Gillis so believed in this endeavor, even if the final product wasn’t exactly the best thing ever. For a superior Netflix show that was made possible through outside and independent financing, though, TV fanatics should instead check out “Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return,” the two seasons of this beloved cult show that were made possible by Kickstarter support.

For starters, “The Return” is automatically superior to “Tires” because it stars puppets. Puppets rock, and that’s doubly true when those puppets are Tom Servo, Crow T. Robot, Cambot, and GPC. To boot, new “Mystery Science Theater 3000” cast members like Jonah Ray, Patton Oswalt, and Felicia Day were a riot. Best of all, many of the Netflix era’s greatest chapters are on par with the best “Mystery Science Theater 3000” episodes from the original series. Outings centered on skewering “Mac and Me” and “Cry Wilderness” delivered one major belly-laugh after another. With these installments, the Satellite of Love crew proved they hadn’t missed a beat even after decades off the air.

Even on Netflix, the enjoyably homemade, ramshackle ambiance of the original “Mystery Science Theater 3000” endured. This was one streaming era revival that went as divinely as one could hope.

I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson

There’s no way you’re unaware of the glories of Netflix’s sketch comedy “I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson.” Quotes from the best “I Think You Should Leave” sketches have permeated every corner of the internet, as guys dressed in hot dog suits or Patti Harrison rambling about tables becoming common shorthand of expression. The show’s primary architect, Tim Robinson, may have started out on “Saturday Night Live,” but through three “I Think You Should Leave” seasons, he’s crafted a masterpiece of absurdist wit that’s surpassed even the greatest segments littering the best “SNL” episodes.

The genius of “I Think You Should Leave” comes from many places, but especially helpful is the show’s sketches going into unexpected territory. One segment about Robinson playing a guy who can’t stop talking about what a bad person he used to be eventually devolves into a flashback of Robinson’s character partying on a beach, staring at a baby in the distance. Another sequence set at a driving school similarly takes viewers on many loops and turns in a short period of time. Unpredictability, precise comic timing, and staggeringly committed performances make “I Think You Should Leave” a comedic masterpiece.

While “Tires” viewers scrounge for any meager laughs during a single episode, just one “I Think You Should Leave” segment will have you in stitches.

Mo

“Tires” stars Shane Gillis as a guy named Shane with a personality very similar to the real-life comedian. It’s far from the first time a comedic performer has portrayed someone that’s a clear stand-in for themselves. Larry David wrung countless “Curb Your Enthusiasm” seasons out of this concept, ditto Jerry Seinfeld with “Seinfeld.” In more modern terms, Ramy Youssef launched his career with the hit Hulu program “Ramy,” where he played Ramy Hassan. Then there’s the 2020s Netflix comedy “Mo,” which starred Mohammed Amer as the program’s titular lead, Mohammed “Mo” Najjar.

Like the show’s creator, Mo is a Palestinian-American living in Houston, Texas. “Mo” follows him trying to secure citizenship while dealing with personal problems on a daily basis. Right away, “Mo” secured the universal acclaim that eluded “Tires.” Critics were enthralled by its nuanced tone as well as the specificity imbued into its characters. Just because “Mo” delivered laughs didn’t mean that its creative team was going to phone it in and deliver shallow caricatures. In the process, “Mo” earned a prestigious reputation without sacrificing sizable laughs.

Though it only lasted two seasons, “Mo” proved to be one of Netflix’s more acclaimed comedies in recent years. While “Tires” is a more disposable example of a comedian anchoring a TV show as a variation on themselves, “Mo” was one of the best entries in this canon.

Lady Dynamite

Maria Bamford’s distinctive comedic voice has many wonderful attributes. One of these qualities, though, is how often pugs crop up in her stand-up performances and anecdotes. These cuddly and squishy critters are always a welcome presence in any pop culture property, from “Men in Black” to “Isle of Dogs.” Thankfully, when Bamford got her own Netflix show in the form of “Lady Dynamite,” she brought some pugs into the production. That alone makes “Lady Dynamite” a massive improvement over “Tires.” That Shane Gillis show doesn’t feature pugs, rendering it vastly inferior.

Even beyond its showcase of precious grunting canines, “Lady Dynamite” secured gloriously universal acclaim from critics and audiences alike. The show received high marks for brilliantly showcasing Bamford’s chops as a comedian, while being easily accessible to folks who’d never been exposed to her artistry before. To boot, the depiction of Bamford’s mental health struggles also garnered applause. Having Bamford play off of terrific performers like Fred Melamed, Mary Kay Place, Jenny Slate, and Ana Gasteyer likewise delivered plenty of laughs.

“Lady Dynamite” crammed so much into its Netflix run, a feat reflecting its toweringly ambitious nature. Deploying adorable pug shenanigans was just the cherry on top of this engrossing television sundae.

Putin Taunts Britain Over Alleged Plans to Target UK Defence Plants

0

Vladimir Putin appeared to smile as he escalated his rhetoric toward Britain, suggesting that whether Russian forces could strike UK factories was something he would only describe as a “military secret.”

Speaking in an interview with Russian state broadcaster RT, the Kremlin leader delivered the warning days after Britain agreed to provide Ukraine with classified plans linked to long-range missile production.

Pressed on whether British military-industrial sites on UK soil could be viewed as legitimate targets, Putin smirked and answered: “That’s a secret, a military secret.”

He was more direct about any British military facilities operating inside Ukraine, saying they would “absolutely” fall within Russia’s list of targets.

Putin made the remarks during a late-night press conference in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, following his attendance at the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation summit.

His taunt was the latest increasingly brazen threat from Moscow to target British military and defence companies after the UK increased its support for Ukraine.

Russian foreign ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova warned last week that ‘any British military installations and equipment in Ukraine and beyond its borders’ could be attacked in retaliation for Ukrainian strikes on Russia using British weapons.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham last week agreed to supply Kyiv with the classified blueprints for lethal Storm Shadow missiles, allowing them to be manufactured by Ukraine.

Zakharova’s threats left open possible attacks not only in Ukraine but against British interests in the UK or third countries, for example army troops now based at Tapa Camp in Estonia, just 75 miles from the Russian border.

She accused London of being ‘one step away’ from complicity in what Moscow calls terrorism and warned of ‘inevitable catastrophic consequences’.

In April, Russia’s defence ministry published a list of 23 sites in Britain and continental Europe allegedly involved in making Ukrainian drones or supplying their components.

British addresses included locations in Mildenhall in Suffolk, Ruislip in west London and Leicester.

Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, now deputy chairman of Putin’s Security Council and a close ally, declared: ‘The list of European facilities which make drones and other equipment is a list of potential targets for the Russian armed forces.’

He added the chilling warning: ‘When strikes become a reality depends on what comes next. Sleep well, European partners!’

The Russian embassy in London has separately warned that Britain will face consequences over reports that British-made drones were used for long-range attacks inside Russia, declaring: ‘The deeper its involvement, the higher the price it will pay.’

Any Russian targeting could involve hybrid strikes rather than direct attacks which risk triggering Nato’s collective-defence provisions.

Moscow is seen as more likely to employ sabotage, cyberattacks, intimidation or criminals recruited as proxies to target companies helping arm Ukraine.

During his speech on Tuesday, Putin claimed that Russia was winning the war in Ukraine.

In his most detailed comments on the war for many weeks, the Russian leader acknowledged that Ukrainian attacks inside Russia had inflicted real damage and said that drones posed a particular challenge.

‘The adversary began delivering strikes on our civilian facilities, including on refineries. Did it cause damage? It did,’ Putin said.

‘And why? Among other reasons, and above all, because they were not protected.’

But he said that Russia was advancing on the battlefield and told reporters: ‘I have no doubt the enemy will crumble.’

Rumours that Russia would be forced to order a new military mobilisation were ‘utter nonsense,’ he said.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned yesterday that his country’s drones would make Russia’s airspace ‘completely unsafe’ for the duration of the war, drawing accusations of ‘state terrorism’ from Putin.

Both sides have intensified long-range attacks in recent months and diplomatic efforts led by the US remain stalled more than four years into Russia’s full-scale invasion.

‘Today, we want to warn every airline that uses Russian airspace, every insurer and everyone who still uses Russia’s key airports: Russian airspace is becoming completely unsafe,’ Mr Zelensky said in his nightly address.

‘Ukraine does not threaten civilian aviation as such – not a single civilian aircraft. There will simply be drones in Russia’s skies on a scale that has to be taken into account,’ he said.

Air traffic at Russian airports has been repeatedly disrupted by the approach of Ukrainian drones, the number of which has increased in recent months.

‘Drone-infested skies are no place for civilian aviation,’ Zelensky said. ‘The sky over Russia is currently for drones… as long as the war continues’.

Putin responded by branding Mr Zelensky’s comments ‘a declaration of state terrorism’.

‘They are asking us to resume negotiations… but you don’t negotiate with terrorists,’ Putin said during the televised news conference.

The hardening stances came after fresh Russian missile and drone strikes killed at least 12 people in Kyiv and the surrounding region.

‘We in Ukraine do not want innocent lives to be lost. That is why we are warning our partners: the safe days in Russia’s skies are over,’ Mr Zelensky said.

Four and a half years into the war, Russia controls about a fifth of Ukraine. US-mediated peace talks broke off in February after the United States and Israel went to war with Iran.

Opinion polls suggest growing war fatigue in Russia and influential voices are warning about the strain on its economy.

But Putin struck a confident, hawkish tone as he rattled through a detailed version of developments on the front line, saying Russian advances were accelerating.

Russian troops had captured 270 sq km (104 sq miles) of the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine in August and two large groups of Ukrainian troops – one comprising 4,500 to 4,800 men, the other up to 2,000 – were surrounded, he claimed.

Russia continues to advance towards the cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, Putin said, adding that Moscow’s forces were preparing to launch massive strikes against energy infrastructure in Ukraine.

He also said, however, that Moscow was open to talks aimed at ending, rather than freezing, the war, and restated its willingness to talk to US President Donald Trump’s envoys.

‘If someone makes, or can make, a tangible contribution to this process, we are all in favour,’ Putin said.

‘The only thing we would want to avoid is the process spinning its wheels pointlessly.

However, if someone is capable of bringing something positive to these negotiations – which, as we understand it, are currently somewhat frozen – then, generally speaking, we are not opposed.’

It comes as Germany on Tuesday blamed Russia for an attempted ‘hybrid attack’ involving an explosive-laden drone at a strategic airport last month and announced diplomatic counter-measures.

Police used a robot to defuse the device found near a Ukrainian cargo plane, and another drone was reportedly found weeks later near the airport, also with traces of an explosive substance.

The European Union expressed ‘full solidarity’ with Germany, Nato assured that it would defend its members and countries including Britain, France and Poland offered strong backing.

Germany will close Russia’s consulate in the former capital Bonn later this month, and cancel the contract for the Russian House, a cultural centre in Berlin, said Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul.

‘We are tightening entry controls for Russian nationals’ and Germany would propose the listing of more Russian individuals for European Union sanctions, he added, as the Russian ambassador to Berlin was summoned.

Putin later branded the sanctions move ‘another mistake, a serious one’, saying it ‘clearly runs counter to the interests of the German people’.

The Russian embassy said in a message on Telegram that the ambassador Sergei Nechayev ‘rejected Berlin’s accusations as unsubstantiated, absurd’, and warned they would ‘not be without consequences’.

Germany’s top diplomat also vowed that ‘we are increasing pressure on the Russian shadow fleet’ – a term for the old oil tankers and other cargo ships with opaque ownership Russia uses to get around Western sanctions.

On Tuesday, a major power plant in Germany was targeted with ‘homemade explosive rockets’.

Local media reported that a key installation near the Janschwalde coal-fired power plant in Brandenburg was repeatedly targeted with rockets, while emergency services discovered and defused additional devices.

And today, police completely closed the train station in the southern German city of Augsburg after one object exploded and another suspicious object was found nearby. Trains were no longer running.

The first unidentified object exploded in a building passageway, officials said. Several people sustained minor injuries due to the loud sound of the explosion. Some windows were also damaged.

Explosives experts from the Bavarian state criminal police office were investigating at the scene. Reports have suggested the explosion is related to gang violence.

Moscow has already been accused of waging a shadow war across Europe through sabotage, cyber attacks, drones, disinformation and intimidation – tactics designed to cause disruption while staying below the threshold for a military response.

Russian cyber units have targeted critical systems including power plants since at least the mid-2010s.

On the day Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, a cyber attack against the Viasat satellite internet system caused outages across central and eastern Europe. The EU, US and UK later condemned the attack as Russian.

Nordic and Baltic countries have also recently reported increased GPS jamming and spoofing since 2022, affecting civilian aircraft, ships and drones.

US Embassies in Middle East Alert Americans to Unforeseen Escalation Risk After Latest Iran Strikes

0

Several U.S. embassies across the Middle East issued new security alerts Tuesday, urging American citizens to stay alert amid what officials described as the “potential for unforeseen escalation” after U.S. Central Command carried out additional strikes on Iran.

Nearly identical advisories appeared on the websites of the U.S. embassies in Jerusalem, Jordan and Qatar, warning that “Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise caution and heightened vigilance and should be prepared for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions.”

The alerts were issued shortly after CENTCOM announced that U.S. forces had “began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran” at approximately 12 p.m. ET.

According to CENTCOM, the military action was launched in response to recent alleged IRGC attempts to target commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as American troops stationed throughout the region.

“The strikes are large and powerful, and in retaliation for the Iranians’ failed attempt at adding sea mines to the Strait, which currently has no mines (They have been completely removed or detonated!), and the Iranians shooting eight missiles, all successfully knocked down, at our Military Base in Jordan,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday.

“If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran!” he added.

U.S. strikes over the weekend targeted two Iranian rocket launchers on an island in the Strait of Hormuz, the first such strikes in a month.

Iranian forces were preparing to launch rockets carrying sea mines into the strait when U.S. forces targeted Larak Island, U.S. Central Command said.

In response, Iran launched eight ballistic missiles targeting U.S. bases in Jordan.

The embassies also said Tuesday, “Due to tensions in the Middle East, the security environment remains complex with the potential for unforeseen escalation.

“U.S. diplomatic facilities, including outside the Middle East, have been targeted. Iran and groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or at locations associated with the United States and Americans throughout the world, including U.S. businesses and other institutions,” it continued.

“The situation in the Middle East remains fluid,” the message also said. “The Iranian regime is unpredictable, as seen by its recent decisions to attack areas in the region without warning or provocations as well as to expand attacks to areas not previously targeted (such as Egypt). Americans should remain vigilant, as merely because U.S. interests or businesses have not been attacked in a country in the past does not ensure their safety.”

Pregnant Influencer Killed in Alleged Kidnapping, Fire Attack

0

A pregnant Indian social media influencer has died almost two months after she was allegedly kidnapped, bound to a tree and set ablaze, The Indian Express reported.

Manjeet Kaur—who has 146,000 followers on Instagram—succumbed to sepsis Aug. 26 at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, according to The Indian Express. An autopsy, citing police, revealed she was pregnant, the outlet reported.

Chandigarh Police Inspector Shadi Lal told the publication that investigators are facing a major hurdle because the alleged attack dates back roughly two months. By the time police began searching for surveillance video, he said, much of the potentially vital CCTV footage had already been erased, with toll plazas typically storing recordings for only about 15 days.

Lal added that authorities still do not have a firm lead on the vehicle allegedly used or on the identities of the accused. He said even the victim’s mother has been unable to provide those details, noting that identifying the vehicle would have significantly helped the probe.

According to the report, Kaur’s mother, Kanta Devi, told police that on July 3, two people known to her daughter met Kaur and took her to Morinda, a town in Punjab in northern India. Devi alleged that once there, Kaur was attacked, tied to a mulberry tree and set on fire.

A friend reportedly discovered Kaur engulfed in flames, smothered the fire with a blanket and then rushed her to a hospital, The Indian Express said.

The 28-year-old sustained burns on up to 45 percent of her body and hospital records initially attributed her injuries to a liquefied petroleum gas cylinder leak, a PGIMER spokesperson told The Indian Express. She regained consciousness Aug. 5, the outlet reported, before she died weeks later.

Kaur’s mother has accused her daughter’s acquaintances of kidnapping—and alleged that police failed to interview Kaur before she died.

According to Devi, Kharar Sadar police did not come to the hospital to take her statement, even after they were informed, the Indian Express reported.

Deputy Superintendent of Kharar Police Ishan Singla insisted that his department fully cooperated with the family, while maintaining that the alleged crime is the responsibility of Chandigarh authorities.

“Since the place of occurrence falls under Chandigarh jurisdiction, the action was to be taken by Chandigarh Police,” Singla said, according to the Indian Express. “Kharar police provided full assistance to the victim’s mother, took her to the concerned police station, and facilitated the registration of the FIR [First Information Report] in Chandigarh.”

Chandigarh police are now investigating the case.

Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police Kanwardeep Kaur told the media, “A case of kidnapping and murder has been registered after receiving the deceased’s mother’s complaint.”

Spokespeople from PGIMER, Chandigarh Police and Kharar Police did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Oxygen.

Blake Lively Embraces Fall Style in Cozy Layered Outfit During NYC Outing

Blake Lively stepped out in New York City on Tuesday, emerging in public just hours after Candace Owens appeared to needle the actress by sharing a selfie with Justin Baldoni.

The Gossip Girl alum, 39, was photographed looking polished as she brought a cup of coffee to her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 49, who was waiting for her inside his car.

Leaning into autumn-ready style, Lively wore a soft grey knit cardigan with a coordinating skirt for the outing, which came days after new details surfaced about her unexpectedly modest payout from Baldoni.

She elevated the look with Khaite’s sought-after Marcy mesh ballet flats, priced at $950, and carried a burgundy suede Chanel bucket bag from the Fall/Winter 2026 pre-collection, a luxury piece retailing for $6,700.

Lively styled her blonde hair sleek and straight with a side part, finishing the ensemble with a pair of Chanel sunglasses.

She added a touch of sparkle to the look with a heart-shaped necklace and a sapphire ring.

Meanwhile, Reynolds was later seen attending the premiere of his new comedy movie Mayday at AMC Lincoln Square without his wife.

He cut a dashing figure in a grey suit paired with white sneakers. The actor way joined by Maria Bakalova and Sir Kenneth Branagh.

Lively’s outing comes a day after Owens shared about her random run-in with Baldoni, 42, last week, and took a jab at Lively.

‘There was an approximate 1 in 100 million chance that I ran into Justin Baldoni at an airport in Iceland on a Friday afternoon,’ the political commentator, 37, captioned a selfie that showed her cuddling up to the actor. ‘Just incredible.’

She added the hashtag #Cousins in a nod to her support of Baldoni amid his public feud with his It Ends with Us co-star Lively.

‘NOBODY messes with my cousin,’ Owens added.

In another subtle jab at Lively, Owens posted the photo to her Instagram Stories, accompanying the image with the Taylor Swift track My Tears Ricochet.

The song was used in It Ends With Us and Lively and Swift were previously close friends before their high-profile falling out.

One user was tickled by Owens’ trolling, writing: ‘Now Candace that’s just messy … got Taylor playing in the background.’

It comes just days after the Daily Mail revealed the star was to be awarded only a small fraction of legal fees she tried to claim from Baldoni after their bitter court battle.

On Wednesday, a judge ruled that Lively will be awarded just five percent of the amount she sought to recoup for defending herself against Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit

On Wednesday, a judge in New York ruled she will be awarded just five percent ($400,000) of the amount she sought to recoup ($8 million) for defending herself against Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit.

The judge said hours Lively had billed for her lawyers were ‘unreasonable’ and criticized the ‘discrepancies’ in the expenses she was trying to claim.

The court ruling came months after the same judge threw out most of the claims in Lively’s sexual harassment case against her It Ends With Us co-star and they agreed to settle the case with no money changing hands.

Judge Lewis Liman had previously dismissed Baldoni’s defamation countersuit against Lively, but he did allow her to seek legal fees solely related to defending that action.

In an order obtained by the Daily Mail, Judge Liman ruled: ‘The clerk of court is respectfully directed to enter judgment for Lively in the amount of $363,245.40 in attorneys’ fees and $44,206.35 in costs’.

Lively sued Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios production company in December 2024 for alleged sexual harassment on the set of the movie, and defamation.

Baldoni responded the following month with the $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and the New York Times, which was first to publish her claims.

In October last year, a judge dismissed Baldoni’s case and in May this year, after a judge dismissed most of Lively’s claims, she agreed to settle her claim. But the legal battle didn’t end there.

Weeks later, Lively filed court documents seeking to recoup her legal expenses from the drawn-out lawsuit.

Last month, Lively revealed in court filings just how much she was demanding: $4,544,094 from Wilkie, Farr & Gallagher and $2,951,432 from Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, two high-profile law firms.

However, the final bill will be $300,000 higher because of costs related to a recent hearing on June 1, bringing it to $8.3 million.

The news she’d receive a measly $400,000 after demanding an eye-watering $8 million following their bombshell settlement, coincided with her birthday, when her husband shared a gushing post calling her a ‘courageous and deeply kind genius.’

Lively and Reynolds first met in 2010 on the set of Green Lantern. They started dating the following year, in October 2011.

They tied the knot on September 9, 2012 in South Carolina and share daughters James, 11, Inez, nine, Betty, six, and son Olin, three.

Chelsea Blast Monaco as ‘Unprofessional’ After Camara Transfer Talks Collapse

Chelsea have accused Monaco of acting “unprofessional” after their deadline-day pursuit of midfielder Lamine Camara fell apart, even though the Senegal international had already undergone a medical in France.

The 22-year-old had been lined up for a £47.1 million switch to Stamford Bridge, but Monaco later informed Chelsea in writing that the deal would not go ahead, delivering the message shortly after the 23:00 BST transfer deadline had passed.

Chelsea had moved for Camara after sanctioning Enzo Fernandez’s £125m transfer to Manchester City, with the Monaco midfielder viewed as the player to fill the gap left in their midfield.

Chelsea left frustrated by Monaco

The Blues had previously seen two offers rejected for Camara before Monaco appeared to soften their stance and show a willingness to enter serious negotiations.

Chelsea believed a transfer agreement had finally been struck after Monaco lowered their asking price, a shift that came amid fresh uncertainty surrounding Folarin Balogun’s proposed move to Everton.

Camara subsequently underwent his medical in France on Tuesday evening, increasing Chelsea’s confidence that the move would be completed.

However, the London club were later informed that Monaco would not sanction the transfer.

Chelsea sources reportedly described the situation as “unprofessional”, while the French club did not provide an explanation for its decision.

Balogun deal linked to collapse

Sources familiar with the situation believe Monaco’s change of position was connected to Balogun’s transfer to Everton.

Monaco had been keen to sell the United States striker during the summer and were reportedly looking for a significant departure from their squad.

Balogun’s potential move to Everton had appeared uncertain, prompting Monaco to lower their valuation of Camara and allowing Chelsea to make progress.

The midfielder had featured in Monaco’s 2-0 victory over Marseille on Sunday, while Balogun was not included in the squad.

Once Everton’s move for Balogun appeared to regain momentum, however, Monaco seemingly reconsidered Camara’s departure.

Chelsea are now left without the midfielder they had targeted to replace Fernandez, who has completed his record-equalling transfer to Manchester City.

Camara, who joined Monaco from Metz in 2024, will remain with the Ligue 1 club after the dramatic collapse of his proposed move to Stamford Bridge.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and his wife, Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy, are facing a wave of online mockery after a particularly risqué bedroom revelation made the rounds again.

Sean, 54, and Rachel, also 54, discussed how they “get in the mood” during an earlier episode of their joint podcast, From the Kitchen Table: The Duffys.

The clip recently resurfaced on X, where it quickly went viral, showing Sean reflecting on how a shared love of music can strengthen a couple’s connection.

Rachel then added a more surprising detail, revealing that the couple had put together a special playlist meant to help set the stage for intimacy.

‘We have a get in the mood playlist,’ his wife then interjected with a laugh. ‘Let’s not lie about that. We have our love playlist.’

The couple – who have welcomed nine children over the years – even shared one artist who had made it onto the playlist: Sade.

‘There’s a little Sade on there, I love Sade,’ Rachel said, while Sean added: ‘I put up with Sade.’

‘I’m gonna give you my take on Sydney Sweeney’s breasts,’ he said in the video.

‘If we’re honest, men appreciate women. And men that appreciate women are not toxic.

‘God made us a certain way… [he made us] to appreciate and want to mate with a woman.

‘And women are made to want to be with a man. I think Sydney Sweeney is just a reminder that men are still men. And women are still women and that’s okay.’

His comments sparked even more backlash.

‘That’s not appreciation, it’s objectification,’ one person said.

‘So inappropriate,’ another slammed, while a third stated: ‘That’s creepy and unprofessional to say as a member of this administration.’

‘Sydney Sweeney is less than two years older than Duffy’s daughter. Gross,’ someone else pointed out.
