Joe Musgrove Provides Injury Update in Exclusive Chat with FaZe Rug

0

The San Diego Padres have been anxiously waiting to hear the answer to one of the most pressing questions this season: When will their star pitcher, Joe Musgrove, make his return to the mound?

At last, fans and followers might have a hint to quell their curiosity.

Well, sort of.

In a serendipitous moment captured on video by YouTuber and popular Twitch sensation FaZe Rug, Musgrove was cornered in a restaurant. The chance encounter was filled with excitement as the content creator, a die-hard Padres supporter, inquired directly about Musgrove’s comeback.

Musgrove, a seasoned pitcher known for his roots in El Cajon just a stone’s throw from San Diego, shared that he was about to embark on a rehab stint. While he remained tight-lipped about the exact timeline, he hinted to the streamer that his return is edging closer, saying it’s “within the weeks here.”

It stands to reason that the Padres ace will make it back to the rotation in time for the final postseason push.

Musgrove has been working his way back from having offseason Tommy John Surgery in 2024 and was expected to pitch for San Diego this season.

However, during an exhibition spring training game, Musgrove’s return suffered a major setback after throwing 60 pitches over two-plus innings.

The Padres’ right-handed pitcher then attempted to throw a bullpen session on March 8, but felt some discomfort and was shut down once again.

In July, he began ramping back up, tossing throwing bullpen sessions and was sent out for his first rehab assignment on August 4.

Musgrove has made three starts during his rehab. In his most recent start, Musgrove threw 4 ⅔ innings, striking out five, but allowed nine hits and five runs.

Since the All-Star break, San Diego has played much better baseball. They are 20-12 since the midsummer classic, while sitting in second place in the National League West. The Padres currently hold the final wild card spot with a 67-61 record.

But Musgrove may be needed to hold down that spot. The Arizona Diamondbacks are just one game back, with a slew of others not far behind.

6 Essential Leg Exercises for Men Over 60 to Stay Strong and Active

0

Feeling like climbing stairs has become more of a challenge after turning 60? Discover six daily exercises designed to maintain robust leg strength.

>

You might start noticing that your legs aren’t as strong as they once were during everyday tasks. Ascending stairs might seem more laborious, and getting up from a low chair might require extra effort. These subtle shifts signal the importance of reintroducing leg workouts into your routine before these everyday movements become even more challenging.

The exercises outlined here focus on movement patterns essential for men over 60. You’ll engage in squats, lunges, steps, hinges, lateral movements, and hip exercises performed on the floor. This variety ensures your legs are well-practiced in ways that translate to your everyday activities.

Consider these exercises as your go-to strength-building toolkit. Select three or four moves for a quick session, or cycle through all six at a relaxed pace. Focus on maintaining proper form, and finish your workout feeling capable of returning the next day.

Squat

Most men feel weak in their legs first on the way down. The squat trains the muscles that control every rep, then asks you to stand back up with purpose. It builds the strength you need for chairs, stairs, and any daily movement that starts with a bend. Use a box or bench if free squats feel rough on your knees.

Muscles Trained: Quads, glutes, hamstrings, core.

How to Do It

  1. Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart.
  2. Brace your core lightly.
  3. Bend your knees and push your hips back.
  4. Lower until you reach a comfortable depth.
  5. Press through your feet to stand tall.
  6. Repeat with smooth control.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 2 to 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps.

Best Variations: Box squat, goblet squat, counter-supported squat.

Form Tip: Keep your feet planted and stand up with control instead of bouncing out of the bottom.

4 Chair Exercises That Firm Sagging Arms Faster Than Gym Machines After 65

Walking Lunge

Walking lunges show you what each leg can handle on its own. One side may feel smoother or stronger, and that feedback helps you train smarter. The front leg has to catch your weight, hold steady, and drive you into the next step. Shorten the stride until the movement feels solid.

Muscles Trained: Quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves, core.

How to Do It

  1. Stand tall with your feet under your hips.
  2. Step forward with one foot.
  3. Bend both of your knees to lower into a lunge.
  4. Press through your front foot to rise.
  5. Step forward with the opposite leg.
  6. Continue moving with controlled reps.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 2 to 3 sets of 6 to 10 reps per side.

Best Variations: Reverse lunge, supported walking lunge, bodyweight walking lunge.

Form Tip: Push through your whole front foot to stand tall.

Step-Up

Step-ups look a lot like real life. You put one foot on a higher surface, press through it, and bring your body up with control. That’s the strength you want when stairs, curbs, and trail steps start feeling less automatic. The common mistake is bouncing off the back foot, so choose a lower step and make the top leg earn the rep.

Muscles Trained: Quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves, core.

How to Do It

  1. Stand facing a sturdy step or low box.
  2. Place one foot fully on the step.
  3. Press through that foot to stand on top.
  4. Bring your other foot up with control.
  5. Step back down slowly.
  6. Repeat on one side before switching.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 2 to 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps per side.

Best Variations: Low step-up, weighted step-up, step-up with knee drive.

Form Tip: Let the working leg lift you instead of pushing hard off the back foot.

5 Wall Exercises That Rebuild Hip Strength Faster Than Squats After 60

Romanian Deadlift

A lot of leg training hits the thighs and skips the hinge. The Romanian deadlift fills that gap by loading the hamstrings and glutes while you practice bending from the hips. It’s one of the most useful moves for keeping the back of the legs strong. Keep the weight light until you can feel the stretch in your hamstrings and keep your back position steady.

Muscles Trained: Hamstrings, glutes, lower back, core.

How to Do It

  1. Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand.
  2. Hold the weights in front of your thighs.
  3. Soften your knees.
  4. Push your hips back as the weights lower.
  5. Stop when you feel tension in the back of your legs.
  6. Drive your hips forward to stand tall.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 2 to 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps.

Best Variations: Bodyweight hip hinge, kettlebell Romanian deadlift, kickstand Romanian deadlift.

Form Tip: Squeeze the weights close to your body to control your hinge pattern better.

Influencer Santos Salazar Speaks Out About Attempted Murder Charges After Jail Release

0

Influencer Santos Salazar has broken his silence following his recent release from jail.

“I am feeling very blessed and grateful to be with my family again,” Salazar said in a TikTok video filmed alongside his attorney Nicholas Rosenberg. “I want to thank you for your service, what you have done for us and our family. Again, I feel like this opportunity to be out here in this free world, I’m going to take it very serious.”

Salazar, who welcomed a newborn with model Brianna Olsen in July, found himself embroiled in legal troubles when he was arrested on August 13 on accusations of attempted murder. However, four days later, he regained his freedom. This came after the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office opted not to file charges, as confirmed by jail records examined by Oxygen.

Why Was Santos Salazar Released From Jail?

Chief Venusse D. Dunn of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Communications shed light on the decision, explaining to Oxygen that the case had been returned to law enforcement officials for additional investigation.

In a TikTok video, Rosenberg revealed that he had proactively written to the District Attorney’s Office. His letter emphatically urged them to dismiss the charges entirely and to reject the case.

“After spending an entire day in court,” Rosenberg shared, “the district attorney decided to reject the case.” He elaborated, “This decision came after they evaluated the police report, reviewed my letter, and concluded that no charges would be filed based on the presented facts.”

What Was Santos Salazar Accused of?

The arrest stemmed from a Aug. 13 call to police related to a “domestic violence investigation,” a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told Oxygen.

Police were called to a home in the 3500 block of Wilshire Blvd. around 9:39 p.m. that night.

After investigation by detectives in the Olympic Division, Salazar was taken into custody and booked on charges of attempted murder.

Police declined to provide any additional details about the allegations.

Brianna Olsen Calls Allegations Against Santos Salazar a “Big Misunderstanding”

Olsen told TMZ on her way to visit Salazar at the jail that the couple was hoping to keep the details private.

“We think the charge is too harsh for the situation,” she added, while holding the couple’s son Sunday Ray in a baby carrier on her chest. “I think when everyone hears like what actually happened, like, they wouldn’t agree that it would be attempted murder.”

In another interview with the outlet just before heading into court for Salazar’s arraignment on Aug. 17, she described the arrest as just “a big misunderstanding.”

“He’s being accused of something he didn’t do,” she added. “So, that’s always hard to deal with.”

Though she declined to get into the specific allegations she said “several things” had led to Salazar’s arrest that night.

“Santos is only 21 years old. He’s definitely misunderstood, especially in this situation,” she continued. “So you know, we want him home. We have a newborn. We want to just have him home so that, you know, he can he can learn from this and just never go back.”

According to Olsen, Salazar was eager to be released from jail.

“He cannot wait to come home, be with his son, be with his family,” she told TMZ. “He deeply. deeply regrets like all the circumstances that went down that night that led to his arrest.”

She added that she was not seeking a restraining order against him.

Salazar and Olsen have amassed a large social media following on platforms including Snapchat and TikTok, frequently documenting their lives together.

Pink Wave: Hundreds Rally in Support of Lindsay Clancy During Child Murder Trial

0

Lindsay Clancy’s attorney acknowledges the tragic actions that led to the deaths of her children but contends she should not face criminal charges due to her mental illness.

PLYMOUTH, Massachusetts — Editor’s Note: This article contains material regarding suicide. For those in need of support, the U.S. national suicide and crisis lifeline can be reached by calling or texting 988. An online chat is also accessible at 988lifeline.org.

A sea of pink-clad supporters rallied together on Thursday, gathering outside the courthouse where Lindsay Clancy is currently on trial for the deaths of her three children.

Among the 300 individuals, predominantly women but accompanied by some men, many expressed a deep connection to Clancy’s story. They aimed to spotlight deficiencies in the mental health care system concerning women. Clancy’s attorneys maintain that while she did commit the acts, her mental state at the time exempts her from criminal accountability.

The trial, which is being shared through livestreams, has shone a public light on postpartum psychosis, a rare yet severe mental disorder that Clancy’s legal team argues afflicted her. This condition is often triggered by the stress, lack of sleep, and hormonal upheaval following childbirth. After the devastating incident, Clancy attempted suicide by leaping from a second-story window, resulting in paralysis from the waist down.

Prosecutors say the former labor and delivery nurse planned the Jan. 24, 2023, killings and contrived to get her husband out of the house by sending him to pick up medicine for one of their children and dinner for the family. They have also questioned the seriousness of her suicide attempt.

The rally Thursday, Aug. 20 was the first time during the nearly monthlong trial that supporters have come out in such large numbers.

“Women are being dismissed, neglected and ignored when we speak up,” said April Vincent, a 52-year-old paralegal from Providence, Rhode Island. “We’re scared because nobody takes us seriously. Nobody wants to hear us, and really, we just need to be heard. I’ve been dismissed plenty of times.”

The women, some wearing shirts with messages including “Peace For Lindsay” and “Justice For Lindsay,” stood silently for more than an hour ahead of Thursday’s proceedings. They broke into applause at the sight of Clancy’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington.

Toward the end of their rally, supporters formed a circle, said the Lord’s Prayer, held up their arms and formed hearts with their hands. Some held flags from different countries to show the support for Clancy was global.

Clancy, 36, has pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the deaths of Callan, Dawson and Cora Clancy, who ranged from 8 months to 5 years old. Researchers estimate that postpartum psychosis — which is more serious and less common than postpartum depression — afflicts 1 to 2 per 1,000 women after delivery.

Jeanne Zaborski, a 72-year-old retired nurse from Rockland, Massachusetts, said she hopes the cases raise awareness about postpartum health. She and many others at the rally said they had been following the trial almost daily.

“It’s very sad,” Zaborski said. “I am a mother. I am a grandmother. I have a sister who had problems after birth, and it’s just very sad. I hope Lindsay gets the care she needs and deserves and other women will come together like we did today.”

Rally organizer Renee Kimball implored the crowd to trust that Reddington “has Lindsay’s fight.”

“It’s important that we just be still, have a moment of silence and know that God is working through us for Lindsay and for the rest of the world that are going through similar things she is going through,” Kimball said.

Recently, an Iowa woman, previously serving as an administrator at a group home for adults with disabilities, has confessed to introducing hazardous substances into a patient’s intravenous line.

Halie Spidle, aged 37, has entered a guilty plea to three charges related to the administration of harmful substances, stemming from an initial accusation of attempted murder. As reported by CBS affiliate KCCI based in Des Moines, Iowa, Spidle was accused of injecting substances such as an algicide, and potentially brake cleaning fluid, into a patient’s IV at the New Venture Group Home located in Corydon, Iowa, on August 1, 2025.

Authorities allege the act was an attempt to end the patient’s life, although no motive has been disclosed for her actions.

The arrest of Spidle occurred on September 18, 2025, following an investigation by Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies, who claimed she inflicted “algaecide and/or brake cleaner” into the IV of an unsuspecting patient. Subsequent to her detention, Spidle was suspended from her role. An interview with an employee from Wayne County Public Health revealed that Spidle no longer held a position at the group home, though further specifics were not provided.

Spidle is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 22. She faces up to 15 years in prison.

Desperate Search: Family Scours Las Vegas Morgues for Missing New York Grandmother

0

A New York family is growing increasingly concerned as they search for their missing matriarch, who disappeared while on a visit to Las Vegas nearly two weeks ago. Her daughter has made the journey across the United States in a bid to locate her, scouring hospitals and morgues for any signs.

The missing woman, 63-year-old Alisa Goods, a beloved grandmother of five, was officially reported missing on August 10. This was two days after she had last been spotted spending time with a longtime friend in Las Vegas, her family has revealed.

“We have checked hospitals,” stated Kristen Goods, Alisa’s daughter, in an interview with FOX5 Vegas. “We have checked morgues,” she added, expressing the family’s growing desperation.

Kristen’s determination led her to travel from New Jersey to Nevada, driven by the need to assist in the search efforts for her missing mother.

“I’m extremely worried,” she told the station.

Goods had been staying with Roger John, a friend of about 20 years whom she had visited in Las Vegas many times before, according to her family.

John previously told KLAS-TV that Goods left his apartment around 12:45 p.m. Aug. 8 to take a bus to a nearby CVS to go shopping.

“Last I saw her, she was going down the stairs. And I said, ‘OK, see you later,’ And that’s the last time I saw her,” John told the station.

Goods’ family told FOX5 she was later seen at a store near Paradise and Flamingo roads, where she bought supplements and water.

Kristen said she did not personally see the CVS surveillance video but spoke with the store manager about her mother’s visit.

“I did not see the CVS footage myself, but I was privy to some of the footage,” Kristen said. “By talking to the CVS manager that she was there.”

Goods never returned to her friend’s home after the shopping trip.

John notified Goods’ family that evening and filed a missing person report two days later, according to FOX5.

The family said they initially had questions about John but stressed that police do not consider him a suspect.

“To us, he is not a threat, and he’s also been cleared by the police,” Kristen told the station. “There isn’t anything to investigate in terms of his knowledge.”

Kristen said she is frustrated that surveillance cameras have not provided more clues about where her mother went.

“I’m extremely frustrated because I would think that this town would have so much more surveillance because it’s such a bustling area,” Kristen said. “I would think that there was a way for facial recognition to be able to locate someone.”

The family also does not believe Goods could have traveled far on foot. They said she recently underwent several leg surgeries that make it difficult for her to walk for long periods.

Police searched within a 20-mile radius of where Goods was last seen, according to FOX5. Family members have also posted flyers throughout the area hoping someone will recognize her.

Days after Goods disappeared, her family began receiving text messages from her phone asking for money and eventually Bitcoin.

The family said it does not know who sent the messages or whether Goods still had her phone.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police told News Media on Wednesday that Goods’ missing person case remained active and detectives had not found anything suspicious.

Meghan McCain Slams Prince Harry, Meghan’s UK Move

0

Meghan McCain has launched a scathing critique against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, referring to them as “D-list royals” following their announcement to return to the UK.

The former “View” co-host didn’t hold back, tweeting on Wednesday, “Americans have a knack for seeing through pretenses, and we’re not fond of entitled grifters.”

She continued, “They couldn’t cut it here, and honestly, no one cares about D-list royals. I wish our UK friends luck, as they are your issue now.”

Page Six contacted representatives for Markle and Harry for a statement, but no response has been received yet.

McCain has consistently been outspoken in her criticism of Harry and Markle, including her derision of the actress’s “boring” lifestyle rebranding efforts last year.

“This is, like, her ninth rebrand. I actually had to review her show and her podcast, and it was horrible. It was so boring,” the columnist, 41, added.

On Wednesday, Page Six confirmed that Harry, also 41, and Markle, 44, along with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will return to the UK at the end of the month for “an extended period.”

“The palace was made aware of the move,” a source confirmed to us, noting that Harry’s father, King Charles III, was informed on Sunday.

“I know that Charles is the reason they are moving back,” an insider told Page Six.

Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, are already enrolled in school in Britain.

Our source added that while Charles, who is currently battling cancer, “looks forward” to spending more time with the Sussexes in a personal capacity, their role and status as private individuals and “non-working members” of the royal family will not change.

The monarch is also strict about upholding his late mother Queen Elizabeth II’s rule of “no half-in, half-out option” for working royals.

The Netflix stars will live in “a non-royal residence,” where they will “continue with their business enterprises.”

The move back across the pond comes six years after Harry and Markle left the royal family and moved to Canada and then California.

Though the Invictus Games founder has been estranged from his family since the move, he and Charles have been making amends.

Last month, Harry and Markle and their kids reunited with Charles during their visit to the UK, marking the first time the king had seen his grandchildren in four years.

However, the Sussexes had no contact with Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton.

Fugitive Wife’s Bold Escape: Walking Free After Murder

A woman on the run, accused of fatally shooting her police officer husband in their shared residence, has been captured on new surveillance footage casually strolling down the street in flip flops.

Karen Solomon, age 58, became a fugitive when police discovered her husband, Kurt Solomon, 57, dead in their home in Massachusetts early Tuesday morning.

On Thursday, the Worcester Police Department released video footage showing the alleged perpetrator wandering near a veterinary medical clinic, located about a mile away from where the incident took place.

In the surveillance video, Solomon appears to be slightly hunched over as she walks by the animal facility, at one moment glancing back over her left shoulder.

This Ring security camera footage was captured around 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday, just 10 minutes after police had discovered her husband’s lifeless body in their Wildwood Avenue home.

Worcester Police said detectives are ‘still actively searching’ for Solomon, who is believed to be armed and dangerous. They did not disclose how her husband died.

‘We ask the public to remain vigilant and if you see her or can provide any information, please contact the WPD,’ the department said.

Kurt Solomon served as a police officer with the Worcester force for 31 years, and his former colleagues are now having to investigate his untimely death.

Their leafy Webster Square neighborhood has been rocked by the tragedy, with neighbors telling local media there were no warning signs.

Karen Solomon was even known as a champion for first responders after co-founding FIRST H.E.L.P, a group advocating for the mental health of police officers.

She also wrote two books about the physical and psychological experiences of emergency responders.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early would not disclose how Kurt died, describing the situation as a domestic incident.

Public records seen by the Daily Mail indicated that the two were married and had lived inside their $370,000 home for several years.

Numerous agencies are now involved in the search for Solomon, which includes State Police, Homeland Security and the US Marshals Office.

Discover 3 Oscar-Winning Masterpieces Now Streaming on Prime Video (August 2026)

Prime Video offers an impressive selection of top-tier films available for streaming right now.

Among the must-watch lineup is last year’s Academy Award winner for Best Picture, One Battle After Another. This film, featuring the unparalleled talent of Leonardo DiCaprio, should be a priority on your watchlist this month.

Beyond recent hits, Prime Video is also a treasure trove of classic Oscar-winning films that’s worth exploring in August.

Indulge in the ’90s black comedy brilliance of Fargo, experience the emotional depths of Casey Affleck’s performance in Manchester by the Sea, or immerse yourself in the profound character study of Sound of Metal. Each of these films garnered significant acclaim upon their release and remain compelling viewing choices in 2026 and beyond.

‘Manchester By the Sea’ (2016)

In Manchester by the Sea, Lee Chandler, played by Affleck, is portrayed as a man weighed down by grief, isolating himself from the world. A devastating event in his past has driven a wedge between him and those around him, including his ex-wife, Randi (Michelle Williams). However, when his brother Joe (Kyle Chandler) passes away, Lee is handed the unexpected responsibility of caring for his teenage nephew Patrick (Lucas Hedges). As Lee grapples with stepping out of his cocoon, the central question is whether he can overcome his own struggles to forge a meaningful relationship with a teenager who barely knows him, and perhaps harbors little affection.

Diane Keaton and Sam Shepard in Baby Boom

Prime Video constantly adds new movies every month, and while most of them are modern hits like Bridesmaids with Kristen Wiig and Fighting with My Family with Florence Pugh, there’s always a handful of vintage classics, too. Watch With Us has curated a list containing only the best classic movies currently streaming on Prime Video. […]

It’s not inaccurate to describe Manchester by the Sea as one of the most depressing American movies made in the last 15 years. Lee’s past tragedy is horrific, and his response to it is equally hard to watch. But the film also contains strains of humor and hope, even with characters who have to grapple with such weighty issues as death. Manchester by the Sea won well-deserved Oscars for Best Actor (Affleck) and Original Screenplay (Kenneth Lonergan), and it was named one of the 10 best movies of the year by The New York Times, Rolling Stone and the BBC.

‘Sound of Metal’ (2020)

Riz Ahmed in Sound of Metal

Ruben (Riz Ahmed) is a drummer in a punk rock band who tours the country in an old RV with his girlfriend Lou (Olivia Cooke), who is the lead singer. During a loud gig, Ruben experiences a loud ringing in his ears. A visit to the doctor confirms the worst — Ruben has lost most of his hearing, and he’ll lose the rest of it if he continues to play loud music. Ruben insists on resuming his old life, but how can he last when his hearing gets progressively worse, and he relies more on Lou for help?

Nominated for seven Oscars, Sound of Metal won for Best Editing and, appropriately, Best Sound, but stars Ahmed and Paul Raci, as a deaf Vietnam veteran who shows Ruben that life doesn’t end when his hearing stops, deserved some statuettes, too. The film itself is terrific — an intelligent and moving study of a man whose whole life was making noise and who now has to appreciate the sounds of silence. The film’s ending is pitch-perfect — affirming, sad, hopeful and filled with grace. You won’t forget it, and after watching it, you wouldn’t want to.

‘Fargo’ (1996)

Frances McDormand in Fargo

Someone has kidnapped Jean Lundegaard (Kristin Rudrüd), and they want $80,000 to return her to her husband, car salesman Jerry (William H. Macy), in one piece. Meanwhile, pregnant police chief Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand) investigates the murders of three people on a desolate road outside Fargo, North Dakota. These two incidents seem unrelated, but as Marge digs deeper, she realizes there’s a deadly connection between them that could cause even more death — and endanger her and her unborn baby.

Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig and Ellie Kemper in Bridesmaids

Prime Video keeps adding so many stellar movies each month, you’ll probably never cancel your Amazon subscription. How could you with such hits as Project Hail Mary with Ryan Gosling and Masters of the Universe with Nicholas Galitzine available with a click of a button? This August, the streamer added a few more great films […]

Her work in Fargo won McDormand the first of her three Best Actress Oscars, and she’s sensational as a perpetually positive cop who has to investigate some pretty grim crimes. Her innocence is both beguiling – you root for her right from the get-go – and sneakily effective as everyone in the film keeps underestimating her. Beneath her cheery exterior is a shrewd detective who instantly suspects Jerry has something to do with his wife’s kidnapping, and she won’t stop until she finds out what his role is in the plot and what happened to Mrs. Lundegaard. After watching Fargo, you’ll never look at a woodchipper quite the same way again.
