Michael Sanft Biography – Michael Sanft Wiki

Now at the forefront of SOS Injury Lawyers, based in the bustling city of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sanft has amassed an impressive tally of over 150 jury verdicts throughout his storied career. He has successfully advocated for his clients’ rights at nearly every level, even litigating at the prestigious 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, while securing positive outcomes for a multitude of clients.

His reputation amongst Nevada’s legal circles as a seasoned and respected attorney gives clients at SOS Injury Lawyers a strategic advantage. They are dedicated to ensuring that responsible parties are held to account, providing a strong defense for those affected by corporate misconduct.
Sanft’s journey began thousands of miles from Las Vegas on the island of Tonga. At the age of 12, his family moved to America, opening a new chapter in his life. Later, inspired by his heritage, he performed as a dancer at the Polynesian Cultural Center while studying at BYU-Hawaii, as detailed in his biography.

He pursued his legal ambitions at Brigham Young University and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from J. Reuben Clark Law School by 2001. Today, he practices law within the state of Nevada.
Tupac Shakur Murder Trial
Currently, defense attorney Michael Sanft has taken on the representation of Duane “Keffe D” Davis. Davis stands accused of playing a pivotal role in the 1996 murder of renowned rapper Tupac Shakur. During the defense’s opening remarks, Sanft dismissed the prosecution’s allegations as mere storytelling, asserting the lack of concrete evidence against Davis. Nearly three decades have passed, and yet, police investigations have failed to unravel a conclusive account of the fateful night.
He called the investigation “biased,” “sloppy” and “incomplete.” “Just look at the actual facts. What facts do you have to support any of what Keffe D said in any of his interviews or the book?” Sanft told the jury. Sanft further said the accounts he gave in interviews and his memoir could not be corroborated.
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s Heartfelt ‘Godmother Pact’ Unveiled: What It Means for Fans
It’s unlikely that Blake Lively will become a godmother to Taylor Swift’s future children, and not only due to their recent falling out. Sources reveal that Selena Gomez, rather than Lively, is the front-runner for this cherished role. Swift and Lively’s friendship blossomed in the mid-2010s, with the pair often seen together. Before rumors of a rift emerged—reportedly tied to Lively’s legal issues with Justin Baldoni—Swift was already a godmother to Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ daughters, while they also have one son.
Speculation suggests that Swift distanced herself from Lively following a string of negative publicity. As evidence of their estrangement, Lively and her family were notably absent from Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce. Insider reports from the Daily Mail indicate that Lively was probably never a top contender for godmother anyway, given Swift’s long-standing friendship with Gomez. The “Shake It Off” singer and Gomez have been inseparable since the late 2000s, a bond much stronger than her history with Lively.
Allegedly, Swift and Gomez have pledged to be godmothers to each other’s kids. While Swift did not have bridesmaids at her wedding—details of which remain largely private—she did honor Gomez by speaking at her wedding. Early in 2026, fans noted that Gomez displayed a cherished photo of her and Swift as teenagers on her mantel, hinting at their profound connection that will likely extend to future godchildren.
Taylor Swift reportedly no longer sees Blake Lively’s kids
Recent reports suggest Swift has distanced herself from Lively and Reynolds’ children. Sources have disclosed to the Daily Mail that Swift has even stepped down as their unofficial godmother. As there was no formal agreement, the relationship waned naturally as her friendship with Lively cooled. Nonetheless, insiders emphasize that Swift still cherishes Reynolds’ and Lively’s children, according to gossip from Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack.
Connections with children often hinge on the parents’ relationships, and with Swift and Lively parting ways, her role in their lives has diminished. Though one source mentioned that choosing Gomez as godmother was “a slap in the face” for Lively, it seems she is not vying for the role. The practical decline in Swift’s interaction with Lively’s family precludes such a possibility. Meanwhile, Swift’s deeply rooted friendship with Gomez continues strong, suggesting this choice was best for all. Hopefully, the children are not too affected by her absence.
Revealed: Insider Leaks Surprising Truth About Trump’s Young Aide
In an era where media accountability is under scrutiny, the recent character attack on Natalie Harp has raised significant eyebrows, spotlighting the often partisan nature of political discourse.
The controversy began when Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff, whose remarks seemed to echo the infamous rhetoric of yesteryear, insinuated that Harp, a vital aide to Former President Donald Trump, had become embroiled in a scandal reminiscent of Monica Lewinsky. This assertion, thrown around during a callous reference, undermines Harp’s professional dedication.
Ossoff’s comments suggested that Trump was more interested in personal indulgences than governance, claiming he preferred to venture on lavish trips with Harp on an opulently acquired aircraft. His speech, heavily scripted and broadcasted from a teleprompter, painted a picture of a politically motivated narrative more interested in theatrics than facts.
Critics of Ossoff’s tirade argue that the remarks were not just offhand comments but rather a premeditated smear, designed to diminish both Harp and Trump in a single blow.
The mainstream media, often champions of defending individuals against injustice, faced questions about their response. Did they stand by Harp, a young woman’s reputation at stake, or did they allow the narrative to slip by unchecked? Such developments continue to provoke discussions about the integrity of modern political journalism.
They cheered.
‘His “travel with Natalie” line… showed a sophisticated understanding of the social media environment,’ spewed CNN’s Brian Stelter.
If you’ve ever doubted that many mainstream media minions are really just hunchbacked goblins carrying dirty water for Democrats… behold the smearing of Natalie Harp
‘[Trump] doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar,’ said Ossoff.
The New York Times dutifully followed. ‘[Harp] caught the president’s eye,’ during a TV appearance in 2019, they suggestively wrote, identifying Harp as a ‘platinum blonde geyser of positivity, there to buck [Trump] up when the going gets rough.’
Look, I don’t fault Americans for curiosity. And if you choose to work for the president, the scrutiny comes with the territory. But the seeing these MeToo warriors turn on their heels to do the Democrats’ bidding is just too much to ignore.
But who is Natalie? She’s Trump’s ‘body woman,’ ubiquitously by his side, through thick and thinning hair. Every president and big-time politico has one.
President Barack Obama relied on Reggie, a former Duke basketball player. Homophobe Washington gossips were convinced these fellas got sweaty doing more than playing hoops.
Hillary Clinton was famously joined at the hip to Huma Abedin (now Mrs Alex Soros, ick!), and tongue waggers swore there was a genuine Sapphic connection betwixt them.
Joe Biden didn’t have a ‘body man’ because he was basically a walking corpse shuffling through the West Wing looking for ice cream.
But my point is that the arrangement is not that strange. What does give me pause are – the letters.
Harp reportedly leaves Trump gooey notes that, frankly, border on the bizarre. ‘I also am sorry if I was an embarrassment walking the course in Scotland,’ she wrote to Trump after she was seen running behind his golf cart during a May 2023 trip.
‘I want things to always be right between us. I also know I’ve been distracted all week (forgetting to eat throughout the days, and even forgetting to sleep, and only catching a couple hours at a time),’ she continued in the letter published by the Daily Mail last year.
‘With all my heart, Natalie,’ she closed.
Why the seemingly fanatic devotion? Well, Natalie credits her boss with saving her life. Not romantically, literally. She was diagnosed with an almost certainly fatal form of stage-two bone cancer in 2018, and after two failed rounds of chemo rolled the dice on a non-FDA approved treatment thanks to Trump’s Right-to-Try legislation.
After the experimental gamble saved her life, she gushed: ‘I’m not dying from cancer any more thanks to President Trump, I’m living with cancer.’
The fetching loyalist is also known as ‘the human printer,’ reportedly carrying a portable printer to rattle off news articles for the luddite commander-in-chief.

A close friend of the president who knows Natalie confided to me: ‘She works her a** off, she’s a really good kid and loyal as can be. Jon Ossoff was way out of line, there was no reason to attack Natalie. She hasn’t done anything wrong.’
Maybe that’s why reaction from the White House and conservative circles has been so swift. They knew that biased journalists would take this insult and run with it.
Trump’s first term inspired whispers of body doubles and ‘fake Melanias’ who, according to conspiracy theorists, filled in for the crowd shy First Spouse. Now that Melania is doing even fewer public appearances (you can’t really blame her after the family has endured more assassination attempts than the Avengers), weirdos like Jon Ossoff have had to invent new scandals.
But I’m not buying this one. Let’s remember, folks. President Trump is 80. He’s not exactly the notorious Casanova of decades ago.
And to the Dems and their media ghouls: Scoring political points by dragging a hardworking cancer survivor is rancid, even by today’s standards.

Simona Halep Hits Back at Nick Kyrgios with Fierce Mockery Amidst His Positive Cocaine Test Scandal
In a fiery turn of events, former tennis world number one Simona Halep has launched a scathing attack on Nick Kyrgios after the Australian admitted to testing positive for cocaine.
The 31-year-old Kyrgios disclosed his provisional suspension from the sport following a positive test for benzoylecgonine, a metabolized form of cocaine, during a competition in Mallorca on June 22.
Owning up to his actions, Kyrgios expressed his profound disappointment and accepted full responsibility for what he termed a significant lapse in judgment.
Known for his vocal stance against drug use, Kyrgios has not shied away from criticizing fellow athletes who have failed drug tests in the past.
In 2023, he harshly condemned Halep during her doping scandal, dismissively calling her ‘a potato,’ as she faced her own suspension from the sport.
Simona Halep has hit back at Nick Kyrgios following his positive cocaine test
Australian tennis star Kyrgios publicly berated the former No 1 during her doping ban
Halep took to social media on Wednesday and said: ‘Never kick someone when they’re down’
‘I’d imagine if I was taking similar things to be banned for 4 years, I’d have about 5 slams. Potato,’ he wrote.
‘I run on bananas and coke cola in 5 set battles. And my record in them speaks for itself. Maybe players should just stop taking shady s***.
‘Look yourself in the mirror at the end of the day and say yep I did it right. Not hard.’
Following Kyrgios’ admission of cocaine use on Wednesday, Halep took to Instagram to have her say, sharing a photo of a bottle of coke and a bunch of bananas in a not-so-subtle dig at the Australian.
She later posted: ‘Never kick someone when they’re down. Life has a strange way of changing positions and an even stranger way of revealing the difference between an accident and a choice.’
Kyrgios said on social media on Wednesday: ‘I wanted you to hear it from me first. I recently failed a drug test in Mallorca after testing positive for cocaine.
‘I made a huge mistake and I take full responsibility for it.
‘I am sorry to my fans, my family, my sponsors, and everyone close to me. Above all, I’m sorry to the kids who follow me. I know the example this sets and I’m deeply disappointed in myself.
‘I’m not going to make excuses, but I do want to give some context about where I’ve been. The last couple of years of injuries have taken a huge toll on me, both physically and mentally.
‘My body hasn’t been able to do what my mind expects it to do, and coming to terms with being near the end of my career has been harder than I ever imagined.
‘I’ve always said I didn’t choose tennis – tennis chose me. But letting go of something that has been my whole life is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face. At times I’ve felt helpless and alone.
Kyrgios admitted to testing positive for cocaine while he was in Majorca, Spain
‘None of that excuses what I did.
‘However, the good news is that this has given me a wake-up call. For the next 28 days, I’ll be stepping away from social media and public life while I focus on getting myself right.
‘I’d ask that people respect my privacy during that time, and most importantly the privacy of my family.
‘I’m sorry. I’ll do the work and come back better. Nick.’
Kyrgios played in Majorca at the Association of Tennis Professionals 250 event in late June, losing his singles match to fellow Australian Adam Walton in straight sets on June 22.
He later withdrew from the doubles, where he and partner John-Patrick Smith had been due to play Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic the following day.
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), the sport’s anti-doping body, has since announced that Kyrgios has been handed a mandatory provisional suspension.
A statement read: ‘The International Tennis Integrity Agency has provisionally suspended Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios under the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme.
‘Kyrgios provided a sample during an ATP 250 event in Mallorca, Spain, on June 22, 2026. On July 17, 2026, a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)-accredited laboratory confirmed the presence of benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine.
‘Cocaine is a stimulant and substance of abuse on the WADA Prohibited List and is banned in competition under the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme. If taken out of competition, reduced sanctions apply for substances of abuse.
‘Because of the nature of the substance, a provisional suspension is mandatory and has been in place since August 4, 2026.
‘Kyrgios, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of 13 in October 2016, has the right to appeal the provisional suspension, but has not done so to date.
‘As with all Tennis Anti-Doping Programme cases, ITIA support is available to Kyrgios.
‘While suspended, Kyrgios is not allowed to play in, coach at, or attend any events organised or sanctioned by World Tennis, WTA, ATP, the Grand Slams, or any national association.’
Hayden Panettiere’s Father Shares Heartfelt Grief and Anger
Jack Coleman, renowned for his portrayal of Hayden Panettiere’s fictional father on the acclaimed series Heroes, has broken his silence about her tragic passing at just 36 years old.
“I’m devastated. Wrapping my head around this loss has been challenging, and words alone feel insufficient,” shared Coleman, now 68, through an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday, August 19.
Reflecting on their bond, he added, “From the first day on the Heroes set, over two decades ago, Hayden’s entrance was unforgettable—she joyfully exclaimed ‘daddy’ and warmly enveloped me in a hug. From then on, I was her daddio. To me, she was Haydini, a true magician in spirit.”
“Her talent was astonishing. I remember filming a pivotal scene where, on cue, tears would effortlessly fall with each take,” Coleman reminisced. “When I praised her for this, she humbly corrected me, saying, ‘It’s not about technique. I’m no trained seal. I feel deeply, and the tears simply appear.’ She was just 16 at the time.”
Coleman also reflected on the intense media attention Panettiere received after Heroes became a success.
“By 17 she was #1 on IMDB Pro. She was routinely asked obnoxious questions, mostly some version of ‘when are you going to go off the rails?’ Today, we’d recognize those questions for the misogynistic provocations they were,” he wrote.
“She was hunted. Everywhere she went, there were photographers with 300-millimeter lenses — the kind that can make even the most innocent activity look sinister,” Coleman said. “Once, when she came to our house, paparazzi hid in the bushes behind our yard and drove onto neighbors’ lawns. They were predatory. No one, especially a teenager, should be targeted that way.”

Coleman said that he is filled with “sorrow and regret” but also “anger.” He wrote, “But that’s for another time. Right now I want to remember an extraordinary young woman who was blessed and cursed. She was vulnerable. She felt everything. It made her a remarkable actor and susceptible to the heartache and thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to.”
“I love you, Hayden. I’ll miss you. I’m so sorry you suffered. I’ll remember how happy you were on set and on the European press tour; how you championed [Coleman’s daughter] Tess when she was being bullied; [and] your commitment to animal welfare and the courage to put yourself in harm’s way to protect them,” he wrote. “I only wish you had been given that same protection.”
“Goodnight, sweet girl. And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest,” the actor concluded.
Panettiere was found unresponsive inside an apartment complex in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday, August 16. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy conducted by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office found no signs of trauma that could have contributed to her death.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” the actress’ father, Skip Panettiere, said in a statement to Us on Sunday. “We ask for privacy as our family takes time to process this unimaginable loss.”
Essential Dark Matter Season 1 Recap to Ready for Season 2

To refresh your memory or catch up on the twists and turns before the new season unfolds, be sure to check out Looper’s informative video.
Diverging from the similarly named 2015 Syfy series, this “Dark Matter” centers around Edgerton’s portrayal of a physicist who finds himself unwillingly swapped into another dimension by his own parallel universe doppelgänger. As his double attempts to assume his identity for mysterious motives, Jason, with the help of his counterpart’s girlfriend, Amanda Lucas (Alice Braga), embarks on a tumultuous journey to reclaim his life in the right reality.
The path back isn’t without its challenges. As Season 1 unfolds, viewers are drawn into the enigma of countless realities beyond just two, overwhelming our hero with intricate obstacles. Debuted in May 2024, “Dark Matter” has been a captivating presence on Apple TV, appealing particularly to fans who relish the gripping narratives of series like “For All Mankind.”
Audience and critical acclaim for “Dark Matter” Season 1 set high expectations for its continuation. Based on Blake Crouch’s acclaimed 2016 novel, the series is a masterclass in storytelling with a high-caliber ensemble cast. Alongside Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, and Alice Braga, the show features notable performances from Jimmi Simpson, Oakes Fegley, and Dayo Okeniyi, making it a standout on the streaming platform.
Dark Matter offers mystery and intrigue
“Dark Matter” Season 1 was enjoyed by both audiences and critics, so the fact that its story is continuing is welcome. Apart from the twisty tale (which is based on Blake Crouch’s 2016 novel of the same name), the show boasts a typically top-notch cast for an Apple TV show: Along with Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, and Alice Braga, “Dark Matter” features the talents of Jimmi Simpson, Oakes Fegley, and Dayo Okeniyi.
The trailer for “Dark Matter” Season 2 suggests that the show intends to continue as it started, taking us to realities both fantastic and dystopian, with plenty of action and mystery — and, of course, plenty of alternate-universe character counterparts. Whether it can retain the tension of the first season remains to be seen. For now, at least, “Dark Matter” remains one of the 10 best sci-fi shows on Apple TV, and Looper’s video above is the best recap on its mind-bending story so far.
Meet Kaydee: The New Eagle Competing for Big Bear’s Shadow’s Attention
In a delightful update from Southern California, Big Bear’s renowned bald eagle nest welcomes a new guest, captivating viewers with her presence.
A regal entrant, a young female eagle affectionately dubbed KD1, or “Kaydee” by her growing fan base, has made her debut alongside Shadow, the resident male eagle renowned for his nurturing role alongside his previous long-term mate, Jackie.
This past Saturday, August 15, marked a significant event as Shadow and Kaydee were spotted spending considerable time together in the nest, prompting excitement among the Friends of Big Bear Valley’s online community on Facebook. This rendezvous followed Shadow’s initial return to the nest from a hiatus since July 23, a notable sighting as it marked the first joint visit for the eagles.
The sighting occurs in the poignant aftermath of losing Jackie, whose heartwarming journey with Shadow has been closely followed by millions of nature enthusiasts via the Friends of Big Bear Valley’s live-stream cameras nestled in the San Bernardino National Forest.
Tragically, Jackie passed on August 10 after enduring over three weeks of intensive treatment at the Ojai Raptor Center. It is believed that Jackie succumbed to injuries sustained from an altercation with other birds. Her loss has been a heartbreak to many who cherished her story.
While multiple spellings of the new eagle’s name have been shared online, including “Katie,” in an update Wednesday, Friends of Big Bear Valley shared that the eagle will be called “Kaydee.”
Who is Kaydee?
Kaydee is KD1, a banded female bald eagle previously spotted around Big Bear Valley. Because of her band, observers have identified her as a younger eagle from Southern California.
The Friends of Big Bear Valley group has cautioned against reading too much into the interactions just yet. Bald eagles are wild animals, and Kaydee spending time near Shadow does not necessarily mean she will become his next mate.
That distinction hasn’t stopped fans from getting invested.
On the Friends of Big Bear Valley Facebook page, commenters have been sharing their excitement, grief and plenty of jokes about Shadow’s new companion.
“I have an addiction to watching for HOURS now,” one commenter wrote, adding that while they were “still missing Jackie,” they “absolutely adore this new lil lady that is keeping him company.”
Another fan imagined what Shadow’s dating profile might look like ahead of mating season.
“Recently widowed, handsome middle-aged man, chortles well, excellent fisherman and nest builder, superb father, has secure roost tree and 14-story tall mansion overlooking Big Bear Lake,” the commenter joked. “Check him out, ladies!”
For others, Kaydee’s arrival has taken on a more sentimental meaning.
“I think Jackie sent this beautiful new lady to take care of her beloved Shadow,” another commenter wrote. “It’s so great that we will be able to continue to see new babies in the nest. Just have to wait
CBP Officers Confiscate 850 Pounds of Khat Hidden in 12 Suitcases on London Flight
Customs officers at a Maryland airport intercepted nearly 850 pounds of khat hidden in 12 suitcases, allegedly brought in by two travelers from London.
The two individuals, U.S. citizens from New York, arrived at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport on August 13. Upon arrival, they were directed to secondary inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials.
As officers examined their luggage, what initially seemed to be a substantial amount of tea leaves was uncovered. However, subsequent testing confirmed the substance as khat, scientifically known as Catha edulis, CBP reported.

The CBP officers’ discovery of the large quantity of items mislabeled as tea leaves led to the identification of the material as khat upon testing, officials stated. (U.S. Customs and Border Protection)
Authorities said each traveler had six soft-sided suitcases filled with khat. The seized material weighed approximately 847 pounds and had an estimated street value of about $100,000.
The men were released pending further investigation, CBP said.
Khat, also known as Abyssinian tea and African salad, is typically grown in East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula and is chewed for its amphetamine-like effects, according to CBP. Dried khat leaves can also be boiled to make a stimulant tea.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), khat contains two central nervous system stimulants — cathinone, a Schedule I controlled substance, and cathine, a Schedule IV controlled substance.

CBP officers seized approximately 847 pounds of khat with an estimated street value of about $100,000 at a Maryland airport. (U.S. Customs and Border Protection)
Symptoms of khat toxicity can include delusions, loss of appetite, difficulty breathing and increased blood pressure and heart rate, according to the DEA.
The World Health Organization classified khat as a drug of abuse in 1980.
The discovery came just days after CBP officers seized another 412 pounds of khat from unclaimed traveler baggage at the same airport.
In that case, CBP said officers “spooked” a suspected smuggler, who fled the inspection station and left the khat behind.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized nearly 850 pounds of khat allegedly carried in 12 suitcases by two travelers arriving from London. (U.S. Customs and Border Protection)
“Customs and Border Protection officers have observed substantial quantities of khat being smuggled in commercial shipments, but smuggling loads of this volume inside traveler baggage is a bit unusual, and not any more successful,” CBP’s Baltimore Area Port Director Adam Rottman said in a statement.
“Khat is illegal and poses severe health risks to users,” Rottman continued. “CBP will continue to seize khat and other dangerous drugs when we encounter it and we will work with our law enforcement partners to hold smugglers accountable.”
CBP officers seized roughly 46,000 pounds of khat last fiscal year and nearly 20,000 pounds during the current fiscal year so far, according to the agency.
