RHONY Recap: Carole Radziwill Returns After 8 Years, Talks JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette

RHONY Recap: Carole Returns After 8 Years and is Grilled About John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, Erin Apologizes to Jessel and Calls Out Pile-On After Hailey Confronts Her

“I can’t believe I’m back.” Eight years after stepping away from The Real Housewives of New York City, Carole has returned to television. Plenty has shifted since viewers last saw her, but some things remain unchanged: these women still know how to fight. Daisy plans a brunch in hopes of lifting Sai’s spirits, though lingering tension between Jessel and Erin threatens to derail the day.

Carole has also found her way back to writing since her last appearance. In true New York fashion, she even keeps office hours from her car during street-cleaning time so she does not lose her parking space. Erika meets up with Carole, and viewers learn that Martha Stewart is the surprising link connecting everyone. At this point, someone should hand Martha an apple and welcome her into the friend group.

With “Love Story” capturing the public’s attention, Carole’s book—written years earlier—has landed on the bestseller list. Her connection to JFK, Jr.’s family has only fueled the renewed fascination. During her conversation with Erika, Carole reveals that a man she once dated auditioned to portray her late husband in the show. Needless to say, it is an especially strange twist.

Meanwhile, Erin and Abe are confronting serious water damage at their Hamptons home after a pipe bursts through the bedroom ceiling. Seeing the destruction firsthand leaves Erin devastated, as the damage has suddenly torn through a house filled with treasured memories.

Erika reveals that she grew up in Waco, Texas, and spent two years with the WWE. She later helped develop a program for Rumble Boxing and contributed to a program for Equinox. She leads a workout class with Daisy while Hailey watches from the “audience,” although neither woman proves to be an ideal fitness student.

After class, Daisy invites the group away for the weekend. When Erika attempts to get details about Sai’s situation with her husband, Daisy makes clear that she will not say a word. A girls’ getaway sounds promising, and Erika decides that, since the more the merrier, Carole should come along too. Still, with Erin and Jessel set to share a room again, the trip could quickly become uncomfortable.

Hailey is beginning to see Erin as someone who talks too much behind people’s backs. Erin does not hesitate to discuss Hailey’s lavender marriage, while Hailey says she tends to black out whenever Erin speaks to her. She compares Erin to “strawberry jam”—something people either want or do not. Her meaning is clear: Hailey finds Erin boring.

Later, Sai speaks with her lawyer about assets as she navigates the separation. The stress is overwhelming, and she is deeply concerned about what her husband may seek from the split.

Daisy says her son remains the central priority in her marriage. She is trying to arrange a date night with her husband, but their packed schedules make it difficult. The couple often clashes over Daisy’s career, particularly because makeup work cannot always be scheduled far in advance.

Daisy’s girl brunch is underway. When Erin arrives, she admits that everyone is going through some sh*t and Erika does not know the real reason why the ladies have gotten together.  When Jessel arrives, she is less than thrilled to see the “pest” Erin.

Sai arrives at the celebration, but the only two people who know why they are having said celebration are Jessel and Daisy. Even Sai realizes she does not have a lot to celebrate right now, so she is just as confused as the others.

Daisy talks about her son’s tutor having a crush on her and they all get a good laugh out of that.  According to Sai, Daisy has two addictions…shopping and attention. Noted.

Erin makes a toast to Sai and manages to make a dig at Jessel kicking her out of the party last week. Awkward. Carole does not understand the underlying message, which in turns gets Erin and Jessel off and running about the party. Erin admits, once again, that she talked about Jessel, but Jessel did not think she had conflict with Erin. Erin feels like the connection they had after their dads passed away has since drifted.

Carole points out that Erin said Jessel was obnoxious and thirsty, which is not what Erin was hoping for. They begin fighting over dermatologists and Sai is confused: wasn’t this supposed to be a feel good lunch? Erin takes ownership for talking about Jessel and Jessel apologizes for kicking Erin out of her party.

Just as things almost get wrapped up, Hailey confronts Erin for bringing up personal things to her date.  Erin begins to feel like it’s a bit of a pile on.

As a change of subject, Daisy asks about “Love Story” and Jessel wants to know if Carolyn Bessette was a b*tch. Carole explains that she is not watching the show because it’s too much, considering Carolyn was one of her best friends and JFK, Jr. was a cousin through marriage.  When Jessel asks about Carolyn Bessette summer, Carole is confused and perplexed. Jessel refers to Carole as a “walking human vibe diffuser.” Jessel continues to probe and wonders if the family is cursed and it’s just all too much, making everyone uncomfortable.

After the whole thing, Carole leaves right before the brunch burlesque show begins. While the show goes on, Erin whispers to Daisy that Jessel is a “clout chaser.”  Erika looks on and sees that Erin is a bit two-faced.  Didn’t she just make up with Jessel? …and yet here we are…talking sh*t about her all over again. Some things will never change.

Filing Alleges UVU Knew of Rooftop Security Risk Before Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

0

The family of Charlie Kirk has submitted a notice of claim, the formal step that can precede a lawsuit, against Utah Valley University, the state of Utah and several people connected to campus administration and security planning. The filing alleges that lapses by those parties contributed to the wrongful death of the Turning Point USA founder.

“The risk of a rooftop shooter should have been especially top-of-mind given the attempted assassination of President Trump, Charlie Kirk’s close friend and political ally, by a rooftop shooter the previous year,” the filing states. The Sept. 9 document was signed by attorneys Loren Washburn, Brett Parkinson and Clifford Parkinson, who represent the Kirk family.

Among the claims outlined in the notice is an alleged conversation between Turning Point USA staff and UVU Police Chief Jeffrey Long. According to the filing, organizers said students had told them that the roof of the Sorenson Center was accessible. The building was described as “pretty close” to Kirk’s scheduled speaking location and sits directly west of the Losee Center, the building from which authorities say the fatal shot was fired.

“If this is true, it would be nice to either have it controlled access or allow one of my guys to be there as well,” a TPUSA representative allegedly wrote to the police chief, according to the claim. “If possible.”

Long allegedly responded: “I got you covered.”

Kirk, 31 and the father of two children, was killed in a campus courtyard on Sept. 10, 2025. Authorities have said a lone shooter positioned himself on the rooftop of the Losee Center, across the open area from the event. Tyler Robinson, 23, the man accused in the shooting, entered a not-guilty plea through his attorneys during an arraignment held nearly a year later.

“His murder was entirely preventable and, in fact, would not have happened had the State of Utah and UVU followed through on their stated security promises, which included protecting the rooftops surrounding the quad where Charlie was speaking,” said Brett Parkinson, an attorney for the Kirk family. “Those failures not only robbed Charlie Kirk of his life, but also robbed his family of their husband, father, son, and brother, with impacts that will compound for the rest of their lives.”

The prospective plaintiffs in the filing are Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, and their two juvenile children. It also acknowledges potential claims from his parents, Robert and Kathryn. The filing does not specify monetary damages. In addition to the wrongful death claim, it also raises a claim of “state-created danger” under the U.S. Constitution.

Kirk, who built TPUSA into the country’s largest conservative campus and youth-oriented activist organization in the country, also spoke at the Republican National Conventions in 2016, 2020 and 2024. He had become a personal friend of the president’s as well as other prominent figures, including leading Utah politicians, the notice continues.

As a result, he had detractors, faced death threats, and publicly spoke about that before his assassination.

“You should not have to walk around with security for your entire family and for myself just because you support a politician or political candidate or certain values,” he said at an event in May 2025.

“We get death threats,” he continued. “People want to murder us.”

Political violence was on the rise as Kirk geared up for TPUSA’s 2025 campus speaking events, titled, “The American Comeback Tour.” The filing references the numerous attempts on Trump’s life, the home invasion hammer attack on California Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, and the murders of former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark.

“Tragically, the UVU Parties failed to rise to the occasion,” the filing alleges. “Through a series of stunning failures and reckless decisions, the UVU Parties created a foreseeable danger to Charlie.”

The allegations include a failure to perform a meaningful risk assessment or understand the significance of Kirk’s visit to the UVU campus. Campus police allegedly did not have a written security plan or hold a security briefing in advance.

The second was “walking [Kirk] into a fishbowl” — surrounded on all sides by tall buildings or other elevated positions. “The UVU Parties could have declined to approve the Tour event in the outdoor quad location, or could have moved the venue indoors or to a more secure location, as it had done for controversial speakers in the past,” according to the filing. The school also failed to dedicate additional resources for the outdoor venue despite the allegedly greater risk.

There were only six campus police officers assigned to the event, while Kirk’s appearance attracted roughly 3,000 spectators, according to the filing.

“On information and belief, [UVU Campus Police] Chief Jeffrey Long requested approval from then-UVU President, Astrid Tuminez, to allocate more than the six officers — which represented only 25% of the UVU police force — but his request was denied,” the filing continues.

After the denial, campus police did not seek additional resources from neighboring departments, such as the Orem or Provo police departments, according to the filing.

“The UVU Parties’ planning was so deficient that when Mr. Kirk was shot first responders were not available and Mr. Kirk was transported to Timpanogos Regional Hospital in a private vehicle, not an ambulance,” the notice continues.

The school and its leaders also had “exclusive power” that TPUSA and Kirk’s security team did not have, such as authority to create a security perimeter, use physical barriers, deploy metal detectors or use other “common sense safety measures like those utilized at sporting events on campus.”

Although the campus had a security camera system, footage was not monitored in real time, according to the filing — and there were no drones to monitor rooftops or any other part of the “sprawling outdoor event.”

“After-the-fact review of the footage at the Preliminary Hearing in the criminal prosecution of the alleged shooter Tyler Robinson showed the shooter running across the roof of the Losee Building to a ‘sniper’s nest,'” attorneys for the Kirk family wrote. “If such footage had been monitored in real-time, Kirk’s tragic death could have been avoided.”

Despite warnings to the police chief about rooftop access in the area, the Losee Center rooftop was not secured. This, according to the filing, happened despite the fact that students were known to frequent the rooftop and people often found discarded “beer bottles and other trash” or paraphernalia there.

Together, all of the alleged failures placed Kirk’s life in danger, according to the filing.

“He was legally entitled to believe that when the UVU Parties approved the Tour event to be held on campus on September 10, that the UVU Parties would only hold the event in a venue and with associated security measures that made the event safe for him to attend and participate in,” the notice reads. “Instead, Mr. Kirk was exposed to the danger of a rooftop shooter that took his life.”

Army Officer Cleared of Cover-Up Allegation in Sexual Assault Case Involving Teen Soldier

0

A senior Army officer has been cleared of claims that she tried to conceal an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage soldier who later died by suicide.

Colonel Samantha Shepherd, the Royal Artillery’s regimental colonel, was formally acquitted on Wednesday during the second day of her court martial after prosecutors withdrew the case against her.

The allegation stemmed from a report made by 19-year-old Gunner Jaysley Beck after a social gathering held during a training exercise in July 2021.

Gunner Beck was discovered dead at her Wiltshire barracks five months later.

Col Shepherd had faced accusations that she intentionally suppressed a complaint that Warrant Officer Michael Webber, 43, had sexually touched Gunner Beck.

It had been claimed that she did not relay the complete account of the alleged assault to the regimental adjutant, who was responsible for discipline, in an effort to prevent a service police investigation into the regiment.

But after prosecution witnesses gave evidence on Tuesday at the Military Court Centre at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire, Commander Paul Patterson, appearing for the prosecution, told the court that the charge against Colonel Shepherd would be withdrawn.

Colonel Samantha Shepherd faced an allegation of conduct prejudicial to good order and service discipline under Section 19 of the Armed Forces Act 2006. She was cleared on Wednesday.

Judge Advocate Edward Legard then addressed the court martial board, made up of an Air Commodore, a Royal Navy captain and an Army colonel.

He said: ‘The Crown has concluded that there is insufficient evidence upon which you could safely and properly convict Colonel Shepherd of the charge that she faces.

‘At my direction I am going to invite you to formally return a verdict of not guilty against Colonel Shepherd.’

Col Shepherd was acquitted of conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline under the Armed Forces Act 2006 and was allowed to leave the court with her barrister.

Her co-defendant, Major James Hook, remains on trial facing the same charge.

Catterick Military Court in North Yorks has been told that Gunner Beck took her own life in December 2021 after the incident the previous July when Warrant Officer Webber tried to kiss her and touched her leg in a sexual manner.

Gunner Beck was found in her car early in the morning of July 13 2021 in an upset state after the incident at a social event during an adventure training exercise at Thorney Island in Hampshire.

She first told Major Hook, who was then a captain and in charge of the training course, what had happened to her, and the matter was then taken to Col Shepherd, the regimental colonel of the Royal Artillery at the time.

Cdr Patterson said the allegations made by Gunner Beck were not treated seriously enough.

He said: ‘The prosecution case is that she told each of them about an incident that had happened… and she told each of them enough to understand that she may have been sexually assaulted.’

In his opening statement, the prosecutor said that Warrant Officer Webber, Gunner Beck and Lance Corporal Drew Tudor were drinking together until the early hours of the morning of July 13.

Later that morning, Lance Corporal Tudor found Gunner Beck asleep in her car and she told him about what happened with Warrant Officer Webber.

Cdr Patterson said the lance corporal went to speak to Major Hook who got in the car and Gunner Beck repeated what she had said.

Cdr Patterson said Hook and Gunner Beck then went on a walk and the officer gave the teenager until noon to decide whether she wanted to make a complaint.

Cdr Patterson said of his actions: ‘Far from empowering her, this could be seen as leaning on her.’

It is alleged that he tried to discourage Gunner Beck from making a formal complaint by telling her that Webber would ‘almost certainly’ get into trouble.

The trial against Major Hook continues.

Trump Faces Republican Backlash Over Prolonged Iran War

0

House lawmakers have voted to end the war in Iran, passing a war powers resolution designed to prevent President Donald Trump from continuing military action without approval from Congress.

The late Tuesday night vote was 220-204, closely mirroring earlier votes this summer. A handful of additional Republicans joined Democrats in backing an effort to bring the conflict to a close.

None of the previous resolutions has reached the president’s desk, where Trump would be expected to veto the legislation.

‘Remember when Donald Trump said that this war would last just a few weeks?’ said Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., who served as a Marine in the Iraq War and led the push for the resolution.

Moulton said Congress must ‘actually ask tough questions, as the Constitution directs us to do, rather than be subservient to another warmongering administration.’

Rep. Brian Mast, a Florida Republican who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee, questioned what military assets Democrats would seek to pull from the region, arguing that Iran remains a threat.

Mast said Trump opposes ‘forever wars’ and is working to end what he described as decades of hostilities involving Iran.

‘They are a continuous ongoing threat to the United States,’ Mast said. ‘Enough is enough.’

House lawmakers voted to end the war in Iran, approving a war powers resolution that would restrict President Donald Trump’s ability to continue military operations without congressional authorization.

Trump has remained publicly committed to the Iran campaign, while War Secretary Pete Hegseth is facing a fresh challenge from Republican Rep. Thomas Massie, who introduced articles of impeachment accusing him of unlawfully continuing military action

The War Powers Resolution of 1973 would give Congress a mechanism to limit the president’s use of military force without congressional authorization.

The action is likely the last House vote on the Iran war ahead of the midterm elections, where the conflict overseas is playing a substantial role in the political campaigns.

The war that Trump launched on February 28 has dragged, with on-again, off-again deadly missile strikes being exchanged and causing havoc in the region for nearly seven months.

Before voting even began, Representative Thomas Massie read aloud articles of impeachment against War Secretary Pete Hegseth on the House floor, putting the secretary’s conduct during the Iran war in the spotlight as lawmakers weigh whether or not to invoke the War Powers Resolution.

He accused Hegseth of unlawfully continuing US military action against Iran without proper authorization from Congress.

Massie’s move could force House Republicans into an uncomfortable showdown over Hegseth’s conduct, although impeachment itself is far from certain.

The Kentucky congressman filed the measure as a privileged resolution, meaning the House must take it up within two legislative days, setting the stage for a potentially explosive vote.

And Massie did not give his party a heads-up that he was doing this, according to Axios.

Massie has been one of the most outspoken Republican critics of the Iran war and of Trump’s use of military force without congressional authorization.

In July, he said the Iran war had ‘significantly weakened’ the United States, and in 2025 he introduced his own bipartisan War Powers Resolution with Democratic Representative Ro Khanna.

The vote on Tuesday comes after the House already passed two similar Iran War Powers resolutions this year, with a small group of Republicans joining Democrats both times.

In June, the House passed H. Con. Res. 86 by 215-208, with four Republicans breaking with their party to support it.

Those Republicans were Representatives Tom Barrett, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Warren Davidson and Thomas Massie.

On July 23, the same four Republicans again voted with Democrats as the House passed H. Con. Res. 89 by 214-208.

The House Clerk’s official tally shows four Republicans voting yes and 207 Republicans voting no.

The July vote marked the second time the House had successfully approved an Iran War Powers resolution.

In the previous House actions, four Republicans voted to halt the war in Iran, but that number rose to seven in Tuesday’s war powers vote, including GOP lawmakers from battleground Iowa, Rep. Zachary Nunn and Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, and retiring Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina.

They joined GOP Reps. Tom Barrett of Michigan, Warren Davidson of Ohio, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky voting in favor of the war powers resolution, with all Democrats.

Fitzpatrick has argued that his support is rooted in congressional authority rather than opposition to US military action against Iran.

After voting for an earlier resolution in May, Fitzpatrick said the United States was safer after Iran’s nuclear capabilities had been degraded but argued that the country was also a nation governed by the rule of law.

He said the War Powers Act requires conflicts lasting more than 60 days to come before Congress and said lawmakers had to follow the law as written.

Fitzpatrick had also introduced his own War Powers legislation back in April designed to comply with the 1973 law while allowing more time for cease-fire negotiations.

Barrett also has a similar view.

After voting for the June resolution, the Michigan Republican said ‘Congress has the exclusive authority under the Constitution to declare war and authorize the use of force.’

He argued that the War Powers Act had given the president temporary authority that had expired and that Congress should decide the scope and limits of the Iran mission.

Barrett has also proposed his own authorization for use of military force, which would establish specific objectives for the Iran operation, prohibit an occupation or nation-building in Iran and impose reporting requirements and a deadline on the conflict.

Massie and Davidson have also voted for both House Iran War Powers resolutions.

Last week Trump said he expects the war to end immediately after the November midterm elections, while reports have indicated that some of his senior advisers privately warned the conflict could continue much longer.

Congress has tried repeatedly to alter the trajectory of the war against Iran, but efforts to limit the Trump administration’s military action remain a longshot so long as the president is able to fend off or veto the measures.

While the Constitution gives Congress the authority to declare war, it also gives the president authority as the commander in chief to engage in some military actions.

The War Powers Act, created in the aftermath of the Vietnam conflict, sought to put a more specific time limit on the president’s power, requiring congressional approval for sustained military actions after 60 or 90 days.

Lawmakers are heading home at the end of the week to campaign nearly full-time, with less than 50 days to go before the elections that will determine control of Congress as Democrats try to wrest power from Republicans.

Voters are confronting high prices, particularly for gas at the pumps, as the conflict disrupts the flow of oil resources through the vital Strait of Hormuz.

The Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday that the war has cost more than $380 billion  as of August 1, and is projected to be costing between $2 billion and $3 billion monthly, depending on the intensity of the fighting.

The budget office projected inflation will be 0.5 percentage points higher than expected heading into 2027 due to the war.

House Speaker Mike Johnson acknowledged at a press conference Tuesday the need to bring gas prices down.

But the Republican speaker said he believes the Iran conflict is entering a ‘new phase’ as allies step up to help stabilize the region. When that happens, he said, ‘you´re going to see, as the president said, anytime gas prices will go down again, the cost of groceries will as well.’

Johnson said Trump expects the shift after the election, and the speaker added, ‘I’d love it to happen today.’

Trump himself had promised not to involve the US in foreign wars when he won a second term in the White House, and his actions against Iran are weighing on the Republican Party that controls the House and Senate.

Most Americans say the war in Iran has not been worth fighting, according to an AP-NORC poll in July.

Ted Cruz Says No Clear GOP Presidential Successor to Trump Is Emerging for 2028

0

Sen. Ted Cruz said Republicans will face a defining internal battle over the party’s direction ahead of the 2028 presidential race, arguing that there is no clear successor who can replicate Donald Trump’s singular political appeal.

In the latest episode of “Pod Force One,” the Texas Republican — a 2016 presidential contender who has acknowledged his own continued interest in the White House — told host Miranda Devine that the GOP should expect a crowded, competitive contest to choose President Trump’s successor.

Asked whether Vice President JD Vance or Secretary of State Marco Rubio could simply inherit Trump’s mantle, Cruz said Republican voters, rather than party leaders, would settle the question through a robust primary campaign.

“I think we are going to have a full and vigorous primary and discussion,” Cruz said. “I think the voters are going to decide who are we and what do we believe, and that matters.” He added that Trump stands apart as a political force: “President Trump is a unique historical figure. I’m going to say right now, there is no Donald Trump on the horizon to succeed [him].”

Cruz repeatedly declined to delve into a potential 2028 Republican primary matchup involving himself, Vance or Rubio, saying such speculation can wait until after the midterm elections.

“There will be plenty of time to have these conversations,” he told Devine. “We are less than two months out from the midterm election. This is the most consequential midterm I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Still, Cruz offered his assessment of the likely Democratic field, warning that the party’s ideological shift could lead to a far-left candidate reaching the Oval Office in 2029.

Full Episode

“I think the Democrat Party has gotten radical and extreme, but what’s dangerous is radical and extreme can win,” Cruz said.

Every week, Post columnist Miranda Devine sits down for exclusive and candid conversations with the most influential disruptors in Washington on ‘Pod Force One.’ Subscribe here!

“I don’t want to wake up in two years and find a radical, left-wing zealot in the White House, and I think there’s a very real danger of that,” he warned, while adding that someone like Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, a Democrat who is often described as a centrist, has no shot at winning the party’s nomination.

On the GOP side, Cruz explained that “as a party, we’re going to have a discussion … I think voters are going to say, ‘All right, who’s got the backbone, who has the strength, who has the record to continue this?’”

“And no one’s going to step into [Trump’s] shoes, but we’ve got to keep winning … and who can produce it?”

Cruz said the debate taking place within the GOP is about both foreign policy and economics.

“Economically, are we a small government, free market conservative party? Or are we a big government nanny state party?” he said.

“And related to that, on foreign policy, are we an isolationist party? Do we want to just withdraw from the world? Or do we believe in American leadership in the world?”

Amanda Knox Defends Lindsay Clancy’s Husband Patrick Amid Scrutiny

0

Amanda Knox is weighing in on Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial and the conspiracy theories that have accused her husband, Patrick Clancy, of having a role in the deaths of their children.

“While the court of law tried Lindsay, the court of public opinion tried Patrick,” Knox wrote in The Free Press on Sept. 14. “There is no one ‘right’ way to react to trauma, or to grieve, but when the lens of suspicion falls on you, everything is wrong.”

What Did Amanda Knox Do?

Knox drew from her own experience in a case that captured worldwide attention. In 2007, she and her then-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were convicted of killing her roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia, Italy. Both spent nearly four years in prison before their convictions were overturned in 2011. Rudy Guede was later convicted in Kercher’s death and received a 16-year prison sentence; he was released in 2021.

Knox’s case differs significantly from that of Lindsay Clancy, who admitted to killing her children—Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan—at their Massachusetts home in 2023. Lindsay Clancy’s case ended in a mistrial on Sept. 4. Still, Knox said she saw parallels in the way the public has scrutinized Patrick Clancy.

She pointed to the “relentless scrutiny” surrounding her own behavior, including kissing Sollecito outside a police station and her widely discussed cartwheel. Knox also addressed the attention directed at Patrick Clancy, who has remarried and now lives in New York City. She said both cases generated unsubstantiated theories, including claims that Patrick drugged Lindsay, killed their children and then convinced her that she was responsible.

“Online sleuths have picked over every twitch of his face in the courtroom, every iota of footage that shows him going about his life, every decision he’s made since the death of his children,” Knox wrote. “Online sleuths parsed the time stamps on his pharmacy receipt and the surveillance footage of him buying dinner, claiming that his jacket in the CVS video had a different zipper style (three-quarter zip as opposed to full zip) than the one he wore at the restaurant, and speculated that he had swapped his clothes to hide bloodstains.”

Amanda Knox Defends Patrick Clancy

According to Knox, such unsupported narratives may say more about the people spreading them than the person at the center of the allegations.

“I think it’s easier to embrace such conspiracies when there is a void to fill, and often that void is an ignorance, willful or not, about how secure we are,” she wrote. “A belief that we are secure from foreign threats, that young women are secure in their own homes from rapists and murderers, that children are safe with their mothers. The alternative is almost too intolerable to ponder.”

Knox also cited the initial praise Patrick Clancy received after running the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2024, in honor of his children. She described the race as a “public act of mourning” that later prompted suspicion from some observers.

“Patrick Clancy was coping too well,” she wrote. “This isn’t how someone who’s grieving should act. He should be too busy crying to train for a marathon. He must have done it.”

For Knox, it’s a dead-end mentality.

“There’s no exit from that logic,” she wrote. “The trial in the court of public opinion never ends, and every day Patrick survives and thrives will be entered into the evidence against him. Because when people decide you’re guilty, it doesn’t matter how you perform grief. It’s always wrong.”

Patrick Clancy’s Attorney Slams Conspiracy Theories

The update from Knox comes after Patrick’s attorney called out conspiracy theories earlier in the month in a blistering statement.

In the Sept. 8 statement, the attorney threatened legal action against those behind the “relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign” aimed at the grieving father.

“This campaign of misinformation has been launched and promoted by minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists,” Patrick Clancy’s lawyer Howard Cooper wrote, per CBS News, “who appear intent on boosting their own social media profiles and potential profit by publishing what they know to be outright falsehoods that Patrick was somehow involved in the death of his young children and other vile claims.”

Oxygen previously reached out to Patrick Clancy’s attorney for comment.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Daughter Faith Stuns in New Photos

Nicole Kidman has long been admired for her acclaimed performances, striking beauty, and high-profile Hollywood romances, but her statuesque height is another of her most recognizable traits. During her years-long marriage to country star Keith Urban, Kidman often stood taller than her husband, a sweet detail frequently visible during the couple’s red-carpet appearances. Now, as the pair’s daughters enter adulthood and make more public appearances, fans have been quick to notice their resemblance to their famous mother. Their eldest, Sunday Rose, has already stepped into the modeling world, bringing confidence and poise to the runway. Whether Faith Margaret ultimately follows her sister into modeling or chooses a path closer to either of her parents, she appears to have inherited Kidman’s impressive height.

Kidman and Faith Margaret attended the US Open in September 2026, both embracing an effortlessly polished look. The Oscar winner wore jeans, sneakers, and a button-up shirt, while her daughter chose a maroon dress with sandals and draped a white shirt over her shoulders. Faith Margaret was also photographed holding her mother’s hand in a tender moment. Because she has made relatively few public appearances over the years, seeing Kidman and Urban’s youngest daughter was a treat for many fans. Still, the most striking detail in the photos was how nearly identical the mother-daughter pair appeared in height, with both showing off their elegantly long frames. Should Faith Margaret decide to join Sunday Rose in modeling, her height would certainly be an in-demand asset.

Nicole Kidman doesn’t just share strong genes with her two daughters

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban kept the lives of their two daughters largely private until the girls reached their teenage years, making fans especially eager for updates about them. Interest has been particularly strong around Faith Margaret, while Sunday Rose has become more visible since launching her modeling career. Despite the family’s guarded approach to public life, Kidman’s bond with both daughters is evident. The “Practical Magic” star has made maintaining an open, close relationship with them a priority. Speaking with Allure in 2025, Kidman called herself “their guide” and explained that honest communication is central to her parenting. “If they want to tell me to be quiet, they can. I’m able to apologize to them. I’m able to stand up to them. I very much like the relationship we have. It’s nice to be able to say that,” she said.

Beyond spending quality time together, Kidman and her daughters have shared several notable public moments. She attended the 2026 Met Gala with Sunday Rose, while Faith Margaret appeared alongside her mother in a Clé de Peau Beauté beauty campaign in 2025, suggesting she may have an interest in modeling herself. In an interview with People, the “Babygirl” star described working with her then-14-year-old daughter as a “magical, dreamlike experience.” Kidman said, “She’s my baby, and it was a sweet little way to capture her at 14. It was one of those things where you say, ‘This isn’t a job. This is actually a gift.’” More mother-daughter collaborations may be ahead.

Father of Missing 3-Year-Old Noah Pleads for Help Finding Son

The father of missing three-year-old Noah Woods has urged the public not to stop searching, saying he “cannot go another night knowing he’s out there alone”.

Officials said at 5am that there had been no confirmed sightings of Noah, who is non-verbal and partially deaf, since he ran ahead of his grandfather and disappeared into an alleyway at about 3pm on Tuesday.

Hundreds of volunteers joined police overnight as the search for the boy continued across the Suffolk village of Brantham.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday morning, Noah’s father, Rhys Woods, said emergency services now believed his son may no longer be in the area immediately surrounding the playground where he vanished.

He appealed for people to “please don’t give up on him” and asked the community to keep looking, adding: “He is out there somewhere.”

Noah is mildly autistic and is not expected to respond when his name is called. He is white, has curly ginger hair, and was last seen wearing a Bluey cartoon T-shirt, shorts and white trainers.

The alleyway where he disappeared leads towards a newly built housing estate, a pond and a railway line.

“We still have nothing. All the emergency services and all of you have shown how strong this community is, with people coming from far and wide also,” Mr Woods wrote.

‘The emergency services are very confident that the high risk areas (Decoy pond, railway lines) are all clear.

‘This means knowing our boy, he has gone even further, could I ask that all of you brilliant people out there today expand further if you are able to?

‘I cannot go another night knowing he’s out there alone, please don’t give up on him guys. He is out there somewhere and I appreciate every single one of you.’

Noah’s great uncle, Tony Malcolm, who was part of the search team, described him as ‘a lovely little kid’.

Residents were urged to check their gardens, sheds and outbuildings. A Coastguard helicopter was seen circling the village, which is near the estuary of the River Stour.

And passengers on trains between Manningtree and Ipswich were told that their services would be run at a reduced speed because of the searches.

Volunteers from Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue used a boat to search Decoy Pond, the local beauty spot Noah was seen running towards.

Police dog units joined the search overnight, and thermal imaging cameras were deployed.

Just before midnight, volunteers who joined the hunt were told to go home for the night and rest, but many remained on the streets.

Sarah Keys, the clerk of Brantham parish council, said around 500 people had stayed up all night to carry on searching for Noah.

The village hall stayed open during the night and the council also printed out hundreds of maps for volunteers to use in their searches as well as setting up two WhatsApp groups for them to stay in touch with each other.

Ms Keys said: ‘There were about 1,000 people out at one point. I think local people are just feeling devastated. Everyone just wants to pull together and help.’

Dozens of locals gathered at the village hall from 8.30am in the hope of getting a police briefing about where to search, but many decided to head off on their own before a senior officer arrived to talk to them.

Ms Keys choked back tears as she told the crowd: ‘I know your feet are itching to go out and look for that little boy. We just want to find him.’

Around 200 locals who had arrived at the hall by around 9.30am were split into two groups with fitter people being allocated to search muddy tracks and fields while others were told to concentrate on the paved areas of the village.

In a Facebook post just after 5am on Wednesday, Brantham Parish Council said there had been no confirmed sightings of Noah.

‘The search for Noah continues this morning,’ the post said.

‘If you are able to help with the search today, please keep safe and take care of yourselves. Search in pairs where possible, wear high-vis clothing and take extra care around roads, water, woodland and other potentially dangerous areas. Please take a fully charged mobile phone with you.

‘Please also check your own property thoroughly, including gardens, sheds, garages, outbuildings, vehicles and under or behind furniture.

‘If the police ask you to move away from an area, please follow their instructions. This may be to allow specialist search activity to take place.’

Last night, Brantham Parish Council wrote on its Facebook page: ‘We have been completely overwhelmed by the support received from the Brantham community and from visitors from far and wide and our thanks go to the emergency services and all the volunteers who have joined the search so far.

‘The Village Hall will be open all night with toilet facilities and drinks if you need it.

‘The emergency services will be continuing their search throughout the night.’

One police officer manning the cordon last night urged the public to allow officers to get on with the job themselves.

He told the Harwich and Manningtree Standard: ‘We have been given information and we want to search this bit with our teams now that we have got the teams here.

‘You’ve got dog units looking for any sort of tracks, and then we’ve got thermal imaging going throughout the wooded area.

‘At this time of night with this light, it’s harder for members of the public – we want to make sure we can do that with all of our equipment we’ve got.

‘The more people we have got in there [in the woodland] the harder it is going to be for us, especially with scents – if there is a scent or a track or anything like that, we don’t want that to be changed in any way.

‘If there are people in there, the thermal imaging is going to pick up them as opposed to obviously all of our goal to find the little man.’

Suffolk Police said anyone with information about Noah’s whereabouts should contact them.

They said: ‘Police are appealing for help to locate a missing three–year–old boy in Brantham.

‘Noah was last seen at approximately 3pm [on] Tuesday 15 September, when he became separated from a relative after visiting the playground in Merriam Close.

‘Noah is reported to have run off down the alleyway beside the playground towards the new build housing estate.

‘Noah is described as white, with curly ginger hair. He is wearing a white Bluey t–shirt, shorts and white trainers.’

A spokesman for HM Coastguard said: ‘We are assisting Suffolk Constabulary with an incident at Brantham by sending an HM Coastguard helicopter and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Felixstowe and Holbrook.’

Married at First Sight groom set to wed twice in 2027 series

0

For most Married At First Sight participants, navigating one TV marriage is challenging enough.

However, one groom set to appear on the show’s 2027 season is reportedly being given a second chance to find his match.

Daily Mail understands that Melbourne carpenter Chris Colombo will become a two-time groom when Nine’s headline-making social experiment returns for season 14.

His unexpected return to the altar is set against the backdrop of a major cheating scandal, with alleged secret texts, flirtatious glances and off-camera romantic links placing multiple Married At First Sight relationships under pressure.

Earlier this month, Chris quietly wed his new bride, pilates instructor Chloe, at a tightly guarded ceremony in Western Sydney.

Producers reportedly kept the event hidden from the wider cast, who were sent instead to the wedding of former Love Island Australia contestant Zac Nunns and TikTok influencer Vanilla Milla.

While many Married At First Sight contestants find one marriage difficult to navigate, Chris Colombo is reportedly taking on the experiment for a second time.

Chris secretly tied the knot with his second bride, Chloe, at a Western Sydney ceremony earlier this month.

Chris’s comeback was finally revealed at the experiment’s fourth dinner party, when he entered the room alongside a new group of intruder contestants and left the assembled cast stunned.

Now Daily Mail can reveal his MAFS journey is set to take another extraordinary turn, with Chris later being handed another chance to find love and marrying for a second time during the experiment.

Yes, even by MAFS standards, things are getting complicated.

And Chris won’t be the only groom creating chaos.

The shock second wedding comes after Daily Mail revealed the upcoming season will be rocked by a major cheating scandal, with one controversial groom accused of privately messaging multiple brides behind their partners’ backs.

At the centre of the brewing storm is Byron Bay father-of-two Wintah Cunnington, 29, who is paired with Perth cosmetic injector Kodie Wyatt.

Religious, celibate and fiercely uncompromising, Wintah is already shaping up to be one of the season’s most divisive characters.

He also reportedly entered the experiment believing the marriage would be legally binding and was less than thrilled to discover the rather important detail that MAFS weddings are ceremonial.

And his extraordinary second shot at love will unfold as the experiment becomes engulfed in a sprawling cheating scandal involving secret messages, wandering eyes and romantic connections that threaten to blow several marriages apart

Yes, a groom on MAFS was apparently horrified to learn he wasn’t actually married at first sight.

But that may soon become the least of his problems.

While insiders insist Wintah entered the experiment genuinely hoping to find a wife, he is also accused of messaging several other brides away from their husbands.

It makes for an awkward contradiction for a groom whose intentions have otherwise been described in unusually wholesome terms.

‘He isn’t there for sex, clout, followers,’ one insider tells Daily Mail. ‘If he has a disagreement or doesn’t align he’s happy to leave the situation.’

According to the source, Wintah simply wants to leave the experiment with a wife.

The increasingly obvious question is whether it will be his own.

‘Wintah will definitely be the talk of MAFS next year,’ another insider said. And there is no shortage of competition.

Sources say the 2027 season will feature cheating scandals, mass walkouts, celebrity cameos, same-sex couples and an Eliot Donovan-style redemption arc, with several dinner parties descending into chaos.

Wintah came looking for a marriage certificate. He may leave with a very different reputation.

Nothing vanilla about these intruders

Just when the original couples thought they had enough problems, the intruders arrived.

Former Love Island bad boy Zac Nunns and his influencer bride Vanilla Milla are expected to cause immediate friction when they enter the experiment.

Their arrival is understood to have raised eyebrows among the original cast, with questions swirling over their backgrounds and why they were selected for the show.

Vanilla is facing claims from cast members about a ‘racy’ past, along with accusations she was brought into the experiment specifically to cause trouble.

Those are claims being made within the cast rather than an established explanation for why producers chose her.

‘Some of the cast had already made up their minds about why she was there. They thought her arrival was designed to provoke a reaction, and that became part of the argument.’

But while Vanilla’s history is expected to attract plenty of attention, Zac has baggage of his own.

Daily Mail can reveal the former Love Island contestant previously had a romantic connection with another bride taking part in the experiment.

And when that history emerges, it threatens to turn an already tense dinner party into open warfare.

‘His connection with another bride becomes a topic at the dinner party. Once it comes up, there are questions about their history and who knew about it,’ a source said.

It also leaves another tantalising question hanging over the experiment.

Did producers know?

Exactly how Zac’s previous relationship comes to light, and how Vanilla reacts when it does, is set to become one of the season’s earliest flashpoints.

Sources say the fallout became so heated that one couple refused to immediately continue filming.

‘They were unhappy with how things had played out and wanted to speak to production before filming anything further,’ the source added.

Incoming!

Chris, Zac and Vanilla aren’t the only intruders being thrown into the pressure cooker.

Scottish bride Nicole Monaghan is also entering the experiment and has been paired with topless waiter and tradie Kol Regev.

Perth-based recruitment consultant Nicole is described as a lover of health, beauty and fashion who spends her downtime exploring cafes, staying active and making the most of the coastline.

Other brides have described Nicole as ‘an absolute sweetheart’ who ‘doesn’t put up with bulls**t’.

Which could prove useful.

Insiders tell Daily Mail that Kol is expected to become one of the show’s most controversial grooms thanks to his outspoken views.

Sources say the pair get off to an icy start, with Nicole unimpressed by some of his opinions.

‘She is not a fan of his very strong views, and people on set said to expect Andrew Tate comparisons.’

With secret romantic histories, alleged private messages, second weddings and couples threatening to walk away, the 2027 experiment appears to have found a new gear.

But despite the chaos, insiders insist it isn’t all betrayal and broken vows.

Daily Mail is told the upcoming season will also deliver ‘plenty of love’, with several couples already discussing the possibility of relocating interstate to remain together after filming.

Turns out a few of them really did sign up for a marriage.

The others may just have to work out whose marriage it is.

5-Year-Old Boy Dies in Car as Parents Host Party Inside Home

0

The parents of a five-year-old boy have been arrested after he died in a hot car outside their Arizona home while the family held a post-church party.

Theo Sabo was discovered unresponsive inside the overheated vehicle outside his family’s $1.1 million home in Peoria on Sunday.

His parents, Anca Sabo, 45, and Mihail Sabo, 50, have been charged with negligent homicide and child abuse for leaving him in the vehicle as temperatures reached 105 degrees, Fox 10 reported.

Police said the family arrived home at about 1pm after attending the baptism of another child. Theo was not reported missing until approximately 3.45pm, while the gathering was underway.

Relatives removed Theo from the vehicle and began CPR before firefighters transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to court records, Mihail told investigators that, shortly after the family returned from church, he instructed his unnamed 14-year-old son to take Theo out of the car.

The teenager told police he did not recall being asked to remove his younger brother from the vehicle.

“It appears that it was either a miscommunication between who or which family member was supposed to get the child out of the car,” police community relations officer William Kennedy said.

Theo Sabo, 5, died after being left inside a hot car outside his family’s Arizona home during a party on Sunday.

His parents, Anca Sabo, 45, and Mihail Sabo, said they had asked their unnamed 14-year-old son to take the boy out of the car.

During a court hearing on Monday, the parents’ lawyer, Leah Dodd, called the circumstances a “tragedy.”

‘Mom is hosting a party at their home, assumes dad is gonna get [the boy]. Dad asks the 14-year-old. That’s not asking a young child to get another child out of the vehicle,’ Dodd said in court footage obtained by @collectcallfrom.

‘He was sleeping, and there was a lot going on, but this does not deviate from what a normal person would do in this situation.’

The attorney also argued abuse and negligent homicide charges were not appropriate.

‘She called 911, she administered life-saving efforts, she answered all questions of detectives. This is not someone who is running away,’ Dodd said.

‘Everything that she and her husband did upon finding the child in the vehicle was standard care.’

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the boy’s cause or manner of death.

During the hearing, Anca begged the judge to let her see her other children.

‘I want to see my kids. Please let me see my kids,’ she said through tears.

The parents were given a $150,000 bond each and ordered not to have contact with each other, but the judge did allow supervised visits with their other children.

Both Anca and Mihail have a status conference scheduled for September 21 and a preliminary hearing on September 23.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the Sabo family to support Theo’s funeral and memorial expenses, and has raised over $223,000 as of Tuesday.

‘The Sabo family experienced the unimaginable heartbreak of losing their precious little boy, Theo,’ the fundraiser said.

‘If you know the Sabo family, you know how deeply loved they are and how much they have poured into their community through serving, loving, and giving to others.

‘As the Sabo family walks through these incredibly difficult days, we want to surround them with love, prayer, and practical support so they can focus on grieving, being together, and honoring Theo’s precious life.’

The Daily Mail contacted the Peoria Police Department, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and the couple’s defense attorney for comment.
