Inside the Tragic Day: Lindsay and Patrick Clancy’s Journey Before the Unthinkable Happened

0

Their morning was spent joyfully crafting a snowman, yet as dusk settled, tragedy enveloped Lindsay Clancy’s household with the loss of her three children’s lives.

On January 24, 2023, Lindsay, who works as a labor and delivery nurse, committed the unthinkable: she strangled her daughter Cora, aged 5, along with her sons Dawson, 3, and Callan, only 8 months old. Following this harrowing act, she attempted to end her own life by jumping from the second story of their Plymouth, Massachusetts residence.

Her husband, Patrick Clancy, returned from running errands to a scene no one should ever face—his wife lying severely injured in their yard and their children lifeless in the basement.

Although Lindsay’s responsibility for her children’s deaths is undebated, the ongoing trial will determine the intent behind her actions. Her defense team posits that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time she committed the killings.

As this high-profile trial progresses, witnesses reveal more about the tragic events leading up to that fateful evening, shedding light on the circumstances preceding the heartbreaking discovery.

Here’s everything to know about the timeline the day Lindsay and Patrick’s children were killed:

Lindsay Clancy, Patrick Clancy’s Children Spent Their Last Morning at the Doctor and Playing in the Snow

The morning of Jan. 24, 2023 began much like any other. Lindsay took her daughter to a doctor’s appointment for a routine physical.

“As far as I can recall, it was a very normal visit,” pediatrician Lindsay Rosshirt testified, according to DWS News. “I mean, no kid is happy to be there for a checkup, but I didn’t notice anything out of the norm. She seemed perfectly well behaved, and mom seemed appropriate as well.”

After the visit, Lindsay sent her mother and Patrick pictures of Cora and Dawson playing in the snow and building a snowman, according to The Boston Herald.

Lindsay Clancy Conducted Searches for Children’s Medicine, Takeout

At 4:02 p.m. that afternoon, Lindsay searched “kids Miralax” on her phone, the outlet reported.

Eleven minutes later, she searched for “take out 3v,” a reference to the Plymouth restaurant ThreeV and then used Apple Maps to determine how long it would take to travel to the restaurant.

Prosecutors have argued that Lindsay was looking for a way to get her husband—who had been working from his home office in the basement that day—out of the house. Her defense attorneys argued the evidence suggests she was in the midst of a severe mental health crisis at the time.

At 4:48 p.m. Lindsay called the Kingston CVS Pharmacy to ask about about medication sold by the store.

“She was inquiring if I carried a product in stock,” general manager Angela Krause said in testimony streamed by East Idaho News. “It was like a constipation medicine.”

According to Krause, the female caller was looking for Pedia-Lax, a digestion aid for children.

“Did she appear to have any difficulty understanding you or the questions that you were asking her?” the prosecutor asked, to which Krause responded, “No, ma’am.”

Asked by the prosecutor if Lindsay’s voice was slurred or impaired, Krause replied, “Not at all. It’s a very normal interaction.”

Minutes later at 4:53 p.m., Lindsay texted her husband to ask whether he would want to get takeout that night.

“I didn’t cook anything,” she texted, according to The Boston Herald. “It’s been a long day.”

After Patrick replied affirmatively, Lindsay texted,“Okie dokie,” then added “Check the menu when you can,” according to The Daily Mail.

Lindsay called the restaurant to place an order of risotto and a Mediterranean power bowl at 5:10 p.m.

Patrick Clancy Seen On Surveillance Footage Entering Pharmacy

Patrick left the house a few minutes later. He testified July 29 that his last memory of his kids was Dawson sitting on the couch, eating chicken nuggets and green beans, per The Associated Press.

Patrick was spotted in surveillance footage shown to the jury entering the Kingston CVS pharmacy, about two miles from his home, at 5:32 p.m. and walking to the children’s medication aisle.

While he was there, he was seen in the surveillance footage calling Lindsay to ask her a question.

“She was pretty quiet. It sounded like she was busy,” he testified, per the AP. “I remember hanging up thinking she was probably in the middle of giving baths or something like that.”

Before leaving the store at 5:37 p.m., Krause testified that Patrick purchased a package of Wild Berry Skittles and the Pedia-Lax.

Patrick Clancy Picked Up Carryout Order From Plymouth Restaurant

ThreeV Restaurant hostess Saria Sweeney testified, per the East Idaho News, that Patrick picked up the take out order from the restaurant at 5:54 p.m.

The jurors were also shown footage of him entering the restaurant.

Patrick Clancy Returned Home, Places Panicked Call to 911

Patrick reportedly returned to his house at 6:09 p.m. and testified, according to ABC 13, that he immediately noticed the “house was really quiet.”

Patrick called out for his family, then searched the children’s rooms and bathroom before heading into the master bedroom.

“I just saw blood everywhere,” he testified about entering the room, “and the window was open.”

According to The Boston Herald, Patrick placed a panicked call to 911 at 6:11 p.m. after finding his wife injured, but conscious in the yard.

“Look at me,” he can be heard telling her, per the AP. “Say my name.”

While trying to help Lindsay—who had cuts to her wrist and neck—Patrick asked her what happened.

“During this time, he asked the defendant, what did you do?” Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague explained at a Feb. 7 arraignment. “She responded to him, I tried to kill myself and jumped out the window.”

Patrick told the dispatcher he wanted to go check on the children.

Moments later, he was heard howling and crying after finding the three children dead in the basement, where they had been strangled with exercise bands.

Patrick yelled, “She killed the kids!”

Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth at 7:28 p.m., while baby Callan was pronounced dead three days later, according to The Boston Herald.

Prosecutors have argued that Lindsay “acted intentionally, rationally and swiftly” that day when she killed the children during the small window of time that Patrick was out of the house, per CNN.

However, her defense attorneys contend that Lindsay should not be held criminally responsible for the killings because she was in the suffering from postpartum psychosis that prevented her from thinking clearly.

Patrick Clancy—who has since remarried—has voiced support for his ex-wife telling The New Yorker in 2024, “I wasn’t married to a monster—I was married to someone who got sick.”

The murder trial remains ongoing.

Discover If Your Car Was Tracked by Flock Cameras Online

0

Curious to find out if your vehicle’s license plate is part of the publicly available Flock camera audit logs? With rising privacy issues following reported misuse by some officers, this information could be crucial.

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — A new digital tool, “Have I Been Flocked,” allows individuals to delve into public records and uncover whether law enforcement’s Flock camera systems have scanned their license plates.

Jason Hunyar, residing in Dunwoody, Georgia, began questioning the use of Flock Safety cameras after discovering what he claimed as inappropriate applications through open records requests in his locality. He collaborates with a platform that aggregates the audit logs released to the public, enabling drivers to investigate whether their license plate numbers appear.

Visitors to the site can input their license plate numbers to conduct a search. Hunyar mentioned that the website incorporates data from agencies throughout Central Georgia.

“For those residing in cities utilizing Flock, you can use ‘Have I Been Flocked’ to identify which agencies are conducting searches and what those searches entail,” said Hunyar.

The website relies on public records requests, which means its information may be incomplete, outdated or unavailable for some agencies. Hunyar encouraged residents to submit their own requests for Flock audit logs from local departments.

“People can still contribute when you’re talking about audit logs from their local agency,” Hunyar said. “It’s the people’s information. It’s our open records.”

Flock cameras use automated license plate readers to capture vehicle information. Law enforcement agencies can search the system as part of investigations, but recent allegations of misuse have increased public concern about how the technology is accessed.

Three former Bibb County sheriff’s deputies in Macon, Georgia, were arrested on Aug. 10 after an internal audit allegedly found they used Flock license plate data for personal, non-law-enforcement purposes.

A Milledgeville police major was charged with misusing Flock cameras on Aug. 13.

Caleb Reynolds, from Monroe County, said he didn’t know much about Flock cameras or the Bibb County cases.

“It’s kind of scary, the way technology is advancing so rapidly,” Reynolds said. “I’m definitely going to be looking into that website.”

Hunyar said his own concerns began after learning a camera in his neighborhood had been hacked.

“I can’t convey how unsettling it was to know that these cameras were just being broadcast live” online, he said. “It was a very unnerving feeling.”

Flock announced new privacy and accountability measures Wednesday, including reducing how long data is available from 30 days to seven days.

The company also said it will use automatic lockouts when its system flags potential misuse, preventing further searches until a supervisor reviews the activity. Existing customers may retain their current data settings unless they opt into the shorter retention period.

Confession Shatters Silence: Luigi Mangione Admits to Shooting Brian Thompson in NYC

0

In a chilling courtroom confession, Luigi Mangione admitted to the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson right outside a bustling New York City hotel. With a plea of guilt on federal stalking charges, the details of the December 2024 tragedy unraveled.

The 28-year-old Mangione recounted the harrowing event, acknowledging his role in taking the life of the 50-year-old executive while Thompson was on his way to a conference in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

“I shot Mr. Thompson and he died,” Mangione confessed forthrightly to the judge on Friday. “I understood that my actions would place him in fear of death or bodily injury. I knew what I was doing was illegal.”

This admission was part of Mangione’s plea to charges of interstate stalking that resulted in death, as well as stalking through the use of interstate facilities—a serious escalation of the legal stakes for the Maryland resident.

While federal murder charges against Mangione have been dismissed, he is not yet in the clear. A separate state trial looms on the horizon where he will face charges for the murder of Thompson, scheduled for next month.

Thompson’s grieving family came face-to-face with Mangione for the first time at the hearing.

They watched as Mangione revealed that ‘after years of enduring pain from a broken back’ he learned about the UnitedHealthcare investor conference.

Mangione said he traveled to Manhattan and emailed the company posing as an investor managing $58 billion and got information about the location within an hour, then printed a gun with a 3-D printer.

Mangione, 28, was charged by both federal and state prosecutors with gunning down Thompson, 50, in Midtown Manhattan as he walked to a conference on December 4, 2024

Both stalking charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. His sentencing hearing has been scheduled for December 18.

While there is no formal plea deal in place, the judge said there

The shock plea comes just weeks before Mangione is slated to go to trial on state murder charges.

Legal experts believe the federal plea could be a tool by his star legal team to get his state charges thrown out because of New York’s double jeopardy laws.

Federal and state governments can prosecute for the same conduct because they are considered independent of each other, but under New York state law, double jeopardy can come into play when a prior prosecution for the same conduct ends in a conviction by guilty plea or a resolution at trial.

‘In New York state, there’s more robust protections for defendants around the double jeopardy laws. And so that could be a real issue here, at least one that would merit litigation, if not dismissal,’ CBS News legal analyst Caroline Polisi said.

Retired FBI Special Agent James Gagliano suggested Mangione made the move so he could spend his sentence in a cushy federal prison rather than a state facility.

‘What is confounding to all of us is why the Southern District would be doing this without working with the state because the only thing that can be the possible outcome here is, Luigi Mangione’s attorneys are trying to get him to the comfy confines of FCI Otisville and avoid Sing Sing, Attica, Clinton or places like that in the state system,’ Gagliano told Fox News.

A legal expert previously told the Daily Mail that a plea deal might be the next move in his case so Mangione can get a lower sentence than if he went on trial.

‘Any time they’re going to get a penalty that’s anything better than Mangione spending the rest of his life in jail, that’s a victory,’ former federal prosecutor David S. Weinstein said.

Weinstein said that the double jeopardy law is also another major benefit if a plea deal is presented.

‘If they [Mangione’s legal team] craft their resolution in a way that allows the NY state law to apply then it takes care of the New York state case.

‘If they say these are crimes that arise out of the same matter then they can’t prosecute him.

‘They will file a motion to dismiss based on double jeopardy, so there won’t be a trial on Sept 8th,’ he shared.

Mangione was in court earlier this week on Tuesday where the judge ruled that the jury for his state trial will be anonymous because of the high-profile nature of the case.

Since his capture, Mangione has gone on to attract a large fan base – mainly of women – who show up to court in support of the alleged killer.

An online defense fund for him has raised more than $1.5 million since his arrest in December 2024. He has also received a significant amount of fan mail and emails while locked away inside Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.

For his trial, jurors’ names and personal information will remain a secret from the public, the judge ruled, adding that both the defense and prosecution need to come up with questions for prospective jurors.

That questionnaire will determine how much possible jurors know about the case, their experience with the law, and more factors, NBC News reported. The judge will have the final say on what they are asked.

The judge also acknowledged the number of people expected to be allowed in the main courtroom, and what should be done about the large crowd.

More than 80 news outlets, including independent journalists and major publications, are set to cover the trial.

Surveillance video of the killing showed a masked gunman shooting Thompson from behind.

Police say ‘delay,’ ‘deny’ and ‘depose’ were written on the ammunition, mimicking a phrase used to describe how insurers avoid paying claims.

Reclaim Leg Strength After 65: The Chair Routine Transforming Lives in Just 10 Minutes

0

Feeling unsteady on your feet after 65? This quick and effective 10-minute chair routine helps you regain your leg strength effortlessly.

>

The strength in your legs plays an essential role in day-to-day activities as you age. It directly impacts how stable you feel when rising from a chair, your confidence when navigating a curb, and the ease of executing everyday movements. Stronger legs not only enhance these experiences but also contribute to an overall sense of physical capability.

Incorporating a chair routine into your exercise regimen offers a controlled approach to improving leg muscle strength. With the chair’s support, you gain a visible target that encourages you to focus on precise repetition, making workouts feel less overwhelming. Such routines are invaluable for maintaining consistency, ensuring that your exercise habits are sustainable and enjoyable over time.

This straightforward 10-minute session involves just two exercises yet covers a comprehensive range of leg movements. The chair sit-to-stand exercise mirrors the actions of rising from a seat, enhancing those muscles. Meanwhile, the chair-supported reverse lunge introduces single-leg exercises that independently target strength and stability in each leg.

As you perform each cycle, keep a steady rhythm and embrace each round as an opportunity for practice. This approach encourages the development of stronger legs through precise movements, improved control, and incremental advancements that will gradually become evident in daily tasks.

The 10-Minute Chair Leg Strength Routine

What you need: A sturdy chair and enough space to stand in front of it and step back safely. Choose a chair that stays planted and gives you reliable support. This routine takes 10 minutes and alternates between two chair-supported leg exercises.

The Routine:

  1. Chair Sit-to-Stand: 5 rounds of 40 seconds
  2. Chair-Supported Reverse Lunge: 5 rounds of 40 seconds

Directions

Set a timer for 10 minutes. Perform Chair Sit-to-Stands for 40 seconds, then spend 20 seconds breathing and setting up for reverse lunges. Perform Chair-Supported Reverse Lunges for 40 seconds, then spend 20 seconds returning to the chair and resetting.

Alternate between the two exercises until you complete five rounds of each. Move with control, use the chair as needed for balance, and keep every rep within a range that feels strong. Here’s how to do it.

4 Daily Exercises That Firm Side Fat Faster Than Gym Classes After 60

Chair Sit-to-Stand

The chair sit-to-stand builds leg strength through a movement you already use every day. You practice shifting weight into your feet, standing tall, and lowering back down with control. That makes it useful for the quads and glutes, and it also helps your knees feel more supported during simple daily tasks. The chair gives each rep a clear starting and ending point, which makes progress easier to feel over time.

How to do it:

  1. Sit near the front edge of a sturdy chair.
  2. Place your feet flat on the floor about hip-width apart.
  3. Lean forward slightly so your weight shifts into your feet.
  4. Press through the floor and stand tall.
  5. Slowly lower yourself back toward the chair.
  6. Lightly touch the seat and stand again.

Best Variations: Hands-assisted sit-to-stand, slow-tempo sit-to-stand, sit-to-stand with a pause above the chair.

4 Morning Exercises That Rebuild Lower Back Strength Faster Than Gym Sessions After 60

Chair-Supported Reverse Lunge

The chair-supported reverse lunge gives each leg focused strength work while the chair helps you stay balanced. Stepping backward keeps the movement controlled, and your front leg handles most of the work as you return to standing. This exercise helps rebuild strength through the thighs, glutes, and hips, which can make walking, climbing stairs, and getting around feel more confident. Keep the step small at first, then build the range as the movement feels smoother.

How to do it:

  1. Stand beside a sturdy chair and hold it lightly with one hand.
  2. Stand tall with your feet about hip-width apart.
  3. Step one foot back.
  4. Bend both knees slightly.
  5. Press through your front foot to return to standing.
  6. Alternate sides with control for the full 40 seconds.

Best Variations: Small step-back lunge, supported split squat, reverse lunge with a pause.

5 Daily Exercises That Restore Stamina Faster Than Cardio After 60

How to Make This Routine Work Better After 65

This routine works best when you treat it as practice, not a test. Ten minutes gives your legs enough work to build strength while keeping the session manageable enough to repeat several times per week. That consistency matters because leg strength after 65 responds well to clean reps, steady effort, and small progressions. The chair helps you stay confident as your legs take on more of the work over time. Keep the pace smooth, use a range of motion you can control, and let the final round feel stronger than the first.

  • Use a sturdy chair: Pick one that stays planted and gives you reliable support.
  • Start with a comfortable range: The sit-to-stand and reverse lunge should feel controlled before you make either move deeper.
  • Keep your hand support light: Hold the chair for balance, then gradually use less help as your confidence improves.
  • Track smoother reps: Progress can mean better control, steadier balance, or fewer pauses between reps.
  • Repeat it consistently: Aim for three to five sessions per week so the routine becomes familiar and easy to stick with.

England Train Derailments: Two Incidents in 48 Hours

LONDON – In a troubling turn of events for the UK’s rail network, a passenger train derailed near London on Friday, the British Transport Police confirmed. This accident marks the second derailment in just two days, following an incident on Thursday where two individuals sustained serious injuries after a train left the tracks.

Emergency responders, including officers, paramedics, and firefighters, rushed to the scene close to Wickford train station in Essex, roughly 30 miles (48 kilometers) east of London. Reports indicated that the train’s rear carriages had derailed. Remarkably, these carriages remained upright, and authorities confirmed that there were no injuries from the incident.

National Rail has acknowledged the situation, stating that they are actively investigating the cause of the derailment. As a result, significant disruptions to train services are anticipated to persist throughout Friday afternoon.

This latest derailment follows closely on the heels of a serious incident involving a London to Eastbourne train, which veered off the tracks near the town of Lewes in southern England less than 24 hours earlier. In that accident, three carriages overturned, critically injuring two passengers and leaving 18 others with minor injuries.

According to the transport police, all passengers from the Lewes derailment were safely evacuated within approximately three hours of the incident.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation.

According to police reports, a Wisconsin man pinned a woman to her vehicle following her attempt to fend him off using pepper spray.

The man, identified as 33-year-old Vang Yang, targeted the 63-year-old woman in an alleged “road rage incident” that took place in Madison’s northern area on Tuesday morning, police disclosed in a detailed report.

Authorities reported that the altercation erupted around 9:50 a.m. near the intersection of North Sherman Avenue and Northport Drive.

Despite the harrowing encounter, the woman managed to free herself and drive to her workplace, where she contacted law enforcement. Meanwhile, Yang stayed at the location of the incident, the statement revealed.

Dane County court records show that Yang has been charged with felony battery to an elderly person or at-risk adult and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. He was released from the Dane County Jail on Thursday after pleading not guilty and has a court appearance scheduled for Aug. 26.

Global Outrage as Iran Eyed for Influential Human Rights Panel: A Threat to International Integrity?

0

Labeling it “Orwellian,” the head of a U.N. watchdog expressed grave concern over the prospect of Iran’s potential membership on a key United Nations committee. This powerful group helps shape significant policies surrounding human rights, women’s rights, and counterterrorism efforts.

The U.N. General Assembly is scheduled for a decisive vote this November on Iran’s inclusion in the Committee for Programme and Coordination. This committee, composed of 34 member states serving three-year terms, is likely to see the vote as a mere formality, largely expected to succeed.

Though the committee doesn’t directly craft human rights treaties or condemn violations, it holds substantial sway over the administrative execution of human rights initiatives throughout the U.N.’s operations.

Despite Iran’s well-documented record of systematic human rights abuses, aggressive crackdowns on women, extensive surveillance, and lethal suppression of dissent, the U.N. Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) put forth its nomination for Iran in April.

Global bodies also consider Tehran a leading state sponsor of terrorism that funds proxy militant groups, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. In addition, Tehran has attacked neighboring Gulf states in recent months amid a war with the United States.

“It’s the last government in the world that should have any influence,” Hillel Neuer, executive director of Geneva-based UN Watch, told News Media.

“Sadly, at the United Nations today — an organization founded after World War II out of great idealism to bring international peace — it is a case of the lunatics running the asylum,” Neuer added. “You have the Islamic Republic of Iran, a regime that beats, blinds, tortures, rapes, and imprisons women for standing up for their rights or showing a few strands of hair.”

News Media reached out to the Iranian Permanent Mission to the U.N. for comment.

Iran’s appointment would not be unprecedented. The U.N. Human Rights Council’s 47 member states currently include nations with severely criticized human rights records, including China, Cuba, Pakistan and Eritrea.

“The United Nations speaks out in the name of values and principles such as human rights, democracy, freedom, equality and women’s rights,” Neuer said. “The reality is that, sadly, at least half the U.N. is made up of dictatorships.”

Tehran continues to brutally suppress basic freedoms. In July, two men were publicly hanged for participating in nationwide anti-government demonstrations, while hundreds more remain jailed or killed for demanding regime change.

In addition, the U.N. has been accused of bias for heavily criticizing Israel’s military actions in Gaza, while often failing to pass formal resolutions or issue direct condemnations against Hamas.

According to Neuer, the most disappointing aspect of Iran’s potential committee appointment is the willingness of Western democracies to acquiesce.

“The short answer is interests, cynicism, politics, dealmaking, and a culture of ‘go along to get along,'” Neuer said. “If you are the French, Canadian, or German ambassador, you don’t want to pick a fight with dozens of countries or trigger friction with Iran. They would rather simply avoid it.”

Japan Hit by Catastrophic Rainfall: Eight Dead, Thousands Stranded in Unprecedented Downpour

0

A relentless deluge of unprecedented rainwater has transformed the streets east of Tokyo into gushing torrents, claiming the lives of at least eight individuals. This devastating weather event has marooned over 10,000 travelers and commuters throughout Japan’s Chiba prefecture.

Approximately 7,000 people found themselves spending the night inside terminals at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport. Floodwaters had cut off essential rail and road links, coinciding cruelly with one of Japan’s peak holiday travel seasons.

Emergency crews were seen distributing essentials like sleeping bags, water, and food as families made temporary beds in cramped departure halls on Thursday night. The scene was a somber testament to the storm’s impact.

Tragically, among the eight fatalities was a man in his 60s or 70s. He was discovered lifelessly adrift on a submerged road in Ichikawa, a grim reminder of the storm’s fury.

In another heart-wrenching incident, a 66-year-old woman perished after becoming ensnared within her flooded vehicle in Sakura. Other victims were similarly found in inundated cars or lying on flooded streets throughout the prefecture.

The scale of the downpour was extraordinary even by the standards of disaster-prone Japan, with over 14 inches of rain falling within 24 hours in parts of Chiba.

Chiba city recorded 4.5 inches in a single hour on Thursday evening, followed by more than 7 inches over three hours and 11.5 inches in six hours.

All three totals smashed local records dating back to 1966.

“This case was an extremely unusual situation, even by Japan’s historical weather standards,” Chiba Governor Toshihito Kumagai said.

“I have responded to many disasters in the past, but I have never experienced a case like this.”

Almost 230,000 residents were urged to seek safer ground as floodwaters poured through streets, swallowed cars and entered homes.

An early damage count found more than 80 homes had been flooded, but authorities warned the true figure was likely to rise as emergency crews reached more of the affected areas.

The rain knocked out power to about 68,000 households at its peak.

Roughly 23,000 remained without electricity on Friday morning.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency issued its highest Level 5 heavy rain warning across 22 Chiba municipalities as the deluge intensified, along with its most severe landslide warning in six areas.

Those warnings were downgraded to Level 4 shortly after 5 a.m. on Friday as the worst of the rain eased.

However, forecasters warned that the atmosphere remained highly unstable and further intense thunderstorms were possible later in the day.

Waterlogged ground and swollen waterways also meant even comparatively modest rainfall could trigger fresh flooding or landslides.

At Narita, the airport company said approximately 7,000 people remained inside the terminals at 4 a.m. after buses and trains linking the airport with central Tokyo were suspended.

“I never thought I’d spend the night at the airport, but it is what it is and we are learning,” one stranded traveller told Japanese broadcaster NHK.

“We’re never going to forget this trip.”

Rail links began reopening in stages on Friday morning, although delays, cancellations and long queues continued.

Flights were operating broadly as scheduled, with Japan Airlines warning that some services could be delayed but saying no widespread cancellations were expected.

The chaos extended far beyond the airport.

More than 4,000 people spent the night inside JR Soga station after surrounding streets were submerged by water that reached as high as an adult’s waist.

As many as 1,700 other people took shelter inside the Chiba prefectural government building and a neighbouring government facility, while 11 temporary accommodation sites were opened across Chiba city.

Dozens of abandoned vehicles remained scattered across flooded roads on Friday morning.

On one stretch of road in central Chiba, more than 20 vehicles blocked traffic across approximately 492 feet.

Major highways linking Narita Airport with Tokyo were also closed or heavily congested, forcing motorists onto alternative routes.

Weather experts said the disaster was caused by a rare combination of cold air high in the atmosphere, an enormous supply of warm, moist air and converging winds over Chiba.

Jesse James Faces $90k Custom Gun Lawsuit Amid Divorce and Abuse Allegations

Jesse James, known for his past marriage to Sandra Bullock, finds himself in hot water amid controversy surrounding a $90K bespoke firearm, coinciding with his ongoing divorce and abuse accusations linked to his fifth spouse.

The 55-year-old former TV star is facing legal action over a custom gun ordered by a client. According to TMZ, Jesse argues that the client, who has initiated the lawsuit, is balking at settling the full payment and is attempting to reverse the agreement.

In documents presented, David Chace states he entered into a verbal contract with Jesse and his firm, Jesse James Firearms Unlimited, back in 2018 for the crafting of a tailor-made gun set.

Chace contends he has already provided the West Coast Customs founder with a $5K deposit, alongside an additional $75K, but he is yet to receive the firearm or any updates on its expected completion.

In response, David is pursuing a lawsuit to reclaim his money, along with seeking further compensation for damages incurred.

Jesse told TMZ, however, that he had been in constant contact with David throughout the process as the gun has been finished but the customer refuses to pay the final bill and owes him $90K.

David had claimed that he had put the custom firearm plans on hold in 2020 and tried to change his order from a whole set of pistols to a single custom and that Jesse had agreed to the switch-up in April 2020.

It has been six years since the original agreement as the customer claims that the gun hasn’t been finished to his satisfaction as Jesse claims he is being ‘hostile and inappropriate.’

Jesse told TMZ that it took almost a year just to make the parts of the weapon which is valued around $250K which he gave David a discounted price for.

The Monster Garage star alleges that David doesn’t want to pay him the money and is suing in order to get his money back.

The lawsuit news comes as Jesse’s wife of two years Bonnie Rotten – real name Alaina Hicks – has once again filed for divorce from the reality TV star after she filed twice in late 2022.

This time both have accused each other of domestic abuse.

James even filed for the restraining order on Wednesday after Rotten’s divorce petition. She also had her own restraining order request.

He is asking the court to keep Rotten ‘100 feet from him and their child until a custody hearing can be held,’ according to a Friday report from TMZ.

Former porn star Rotten, 30, became 55-year-old James’ fifth wife in June 2022. They welcomed a son named Bishop in 2023.

James famously cheated on his A-list movie star wife Sandra Bullock which led to their 2010 divorce. He also dated tattoo artist Kat Von D.

DailyMail.com has contacted Jesse James’ representative for comment.

In court documents, James said that in early 2022 before they even wed she attacked him and tried to break his finger. But he married her anyhow.

And he added that she was violent many times after that.

His examples are when Bonnie allegedly tried to poke a hole in his neck with her nail when she was pregnant with their son.

James also said that she kicked him from behind, breaking his wrist and dislocating his thumb. She argued that she slammed the door on him and he fell.

He also accused her of abusing their cats and dogs.

Bonnie claimed that Jesse slapped her in the face once and punched her in the throat.

TMZ claimed to have spoken with Bonnie.

She told the site she moved out of the house with Jesse and took their son with her ‘to protect them.’

She also claimed that Jesse is trying to ‘gaslight’ her.

Rotten told the site: ‘For the safety and well-being of our child, I will not engage in litigating this matter in the press. I trust the legal process to address these issues appropriately and respectfully ask for privacy during this time.’

This comes after she filed for divorce twice in 2022.

In December 2022 she accused her husband of cheating and branding him ‘disgusting’.

One day later, Rotten revealed the pair had reconciled.

In 2022 the two were at each other’s throats.

Rotten announced her pregnancy with a sonogram photo in November 2022, with the caption: ‘Jesse is busy trying to f*** other women while I’m pregnant.’

This comes after James took to Instagram to deny the cheating accusations and share an array of snaps of the couple in happier times.

He wrote: ‘Baby I didn’t cheat on you I swear!! I’m sorry we got into a fight. I’m sorry I called you a r****d when we were fighting.

‘I know that just made you more mad, and didn’t do anything to make the situation better. It was out of line and childish and immature. I’m sorry I did that.

James, who has a long history of infidelity, added: ‘In the whole time we have been together, I have never texted or sent inappropriate DMs to anyone.

‘Please know. I’ve never thought about cheating on you. I’ve never tried to cheat on you. I’ve never had the urge to cheat on you. You are the only one I want, forever.

‘Every chick that was hanging around back then got told I was in love with you and I couldn’t see them anymore,” he wrote. “This was me making efforts to secure your trust and do things the right way. (What a ‘Man’ does).

James admitted that he had texted an ex ‘out of spite’ after his row with Rotten, saying: ‘I really thought we were done, and I was so mad and acted out of anger and spite.

‘I know this hurt you and I’m sorry. I unfollowed her and won’t contact again.’

‘I know you’re pregnant, and I know you are having a rough time right now. I want to make things better and do everything possible to make your life the best.

‘I want to be a positive and fix everything with us. I’ve learned from my past mistakes and I will do whatever it takes to make you happy, and gain your love and trust. Please come home. I love you.’

He later changed the caption on the post to: ‘2022 a love story in 9 pictures’ and tagged his estranged wife.

In December 2022 he said: ‘Ok I think you guys have had enough.. I’m sorry you guys had to endure my little social experiment this week, but it was necessary, For Starters…I love my wife. Like really love her.’

Rotten branded the famed mechanic a ‘truly disgusting human being’ and said, ‘I’m so hurt by everything he has done to me.’

She also accused him on following his ex and other girls on Instagram: ‘I see his page he’s following his ex and a bunch of girls.

‘I’m his pregnant wife and he chooses to act like this. THAT’S NOT A MAN.’

‘I’m so hurt by everything he has done to me. He doesn’t give a f*** about anyone but himself. He’s a truly disgusting human being,’ she went on.

She also addressed those who warned her about James.

‘Everyone can laugh at me make fun of me whatever you want to say. Nothing will make me feel worse than how I truly feel right now. I should’ve known better you’re all right,’ she added.

The couple wed in a small backyard wedding in Texas back in late June 2022. It was Rotten’s second marriage, and James’ fifth.

Bonnie had her eight-year-old daughter in attendance from her first marriage to celebrate the nuptials.

This isn’t the first time James has been accused of cheating by a spouse.

His marriage to Oscar winning actress Sandra Bullock imploded following news of his infidelity in 2010.

Sandra and Jesse got married in 2005, and together they adopted a child named Louis.

However, soon after the couple took that big step, news of his infidelity with tattooed model Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee swept over.

In April 2010, Jesse checked himself into a rehab facility in Arizona for sex addiction after apologizing profusely to Bullock, although that wasn’t enough to save the marriage – they divorced the following June.

Jesse has three children: Chandler James and Jesse James Jr. with his first wife, Karla James, to whom he was married from 1991 to 2002.

He also shares daughter Sunny James with his second wife, retired porn actress Janine Lindemulder, to whom he was married from 2002 to 2004.

His fourth wife was professional drag racer Alexis DeJoria.

They married in March 2013 and went on to separate in March 2020, after he allegedly cheated with ‘at least 20 women’ and would ‘sneak his mistresses into the marital home in Austin, Texas for sex while his wife was away on race meets or at family functions.’

He was also engaged to famous tattoo artist Kat Von D in January 2011. They had an on-off relationship before ultimately splitting in September 2011 as she later accused him of cheating with multiple women.

Megyn Kelly Defends Martha Stewart’s Bold Remarks on Meghan Markle, Celebrates Her Wit and Wisdom

Megyn Kelly didn’t hold back her criticism of Meghan Markle following a recent social gathering involving Martha Stewart.

During her SiriusXM broadcast on Tuesday, Kelly emphasized her trust in Stewart’s version of events, which suggested that Markle was allegedly recounting tales of her meeting with King Charles at a recent dinner in California.

“Martha tells it like it is,” Kelly asserted. “She doesn’t sugarcoat.”

Kelly, at 55, pointed out that despite Stewart being 85, her mental acuity remains impressive, implying she wouldn’t have misinterpreted Markle, 45, during the event.

In an interview with People released last week, Stewart shared that Markle had reportedly been discussing her meeting with Charles, 77, shortly after returning from the palace.

However, the host of the dinner exclusively told Page Six, “I sat next to Meghan at the dinner party and this account of what happened is simply untrue. Meghan didn’t talk about her European vacation other than to say the family had a great time.”

Kelly, a long-time critic of Markle and Prince Harry, theorized the mom of two had her team put out a statement to discredit Stewart after the dinner.

“Meghan can’t have anything written about her without filing a lawsuit, threatening a lawsuit, having her people call,” Kelly said, noting that Stewart only “said something innocuous about Markle” in the interview.

Kelly’s guest, Maureen Callahan, similarly blasted Markle and said she’s “her own worst enemy.”

“I completely believe Martha Stewart’s version of events,” Callahan said, calling the former “Suits” star a “ghoul” and “child.”

Callahan also slammed Markle for being estranged from her dad, Thomas Markle, who underwent leg amputation surgery in the Philippines earlier this year.

“She’s not gonna go see anybody’s father unless he has a crown on his head,” Kelly said, referring to the 71-year-old cancer-stricken monarch. “That’s the father she’s willing to spend time with.”

Kelly also predicted that Charles is going to fully reconcile with Markle and Harry, 41, after their reunion.

“I think the King is gonna allow it. I think he’s gonna let him back in,” Kelly said. “He’s a dad before he’s a king.”

Page Six has reached out to Markle’s rep for comment.

Along with the dinner party claims, Stewart made shady comments about the “With Love, Meghan” host’s attempted homemaking career in the People interview.

“If you’re an actress, it’s hard to then transition to a princess and then from a princess into a homemaking guru on a television show,” Stewart said about Markle, whose Netflix lifestyle series got canceled after two seasons.

“It doesn’t sort of follow. So go from there,” Stewart added.

Stewart previously took a dig at Markle’s cooking endeavours in July 2025.

“I hope she knows what she’s talking about,” the original lifestyle guru told Yahoo Lifestyle at the time.

“Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important.”
