Ben Garrod is an evolutionary biologist and primate conservationist who is an obsessive bone collector. He is also active as the Professor of Evolutionary Biology and Science Engagement at the University of East Anglia.

Ben’s career choice in the initial was not to be an evolutionary biologist and a primatologist but was in the medical field. But everything changed for him after his encounter with primatologist Jane Goodall. 

His love for nature and curiosity about animals got reignited, and he started to work in managing and researching the habituation of wild chimpanzees in Africa. This event also got him the chance to record primate behavior.

He is also the presenter of TV series and programs like Secrets of Bones, Attenborough and the Giant Dinosaur, The Day the Dinosaurs Died, Hyper-evolution: the Rise of Robots, Secrets of Skin, Baby Chimp Rescue, and most recently, Attenborough and the Mammoth Graveyard.
