Michael Flatley Health Update- His Aggressive Form Of Cancer Diagnoses And Surgery

After receiving a cancer diagnosis, Riverdance and Lord of the Dance actor Michael Flatley is at home resting from surgery, his team revealed on Wednesday.

Michael Flatley has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, according to an Instagram post that was posted next to a black and white image of Flatley standing on a beach and gazing out into the water.

The message went on to say that the patient had surgery and was being treated by a top-notch medical staff. “There won’t be any more remarks made at this time. We merely ask for your good thoughts and prayers. I’m grateful. I am Teamlord.”

The 64-year-old Irish dancer was showered with congratulations from fans in the comments.

“All my thoughts and prayers are with you, Michael 🙏The whole world is with you! ” one fan commented while another wrote, “God bless you, Michael. I hope that you make a full recovery.”

“As a cancer survivor, all I can say is trust in your medical team and keep positive. There are so many new medications available now, thanks to all the research,” one follower wrote before sending a message to Flatley’s wife and son. “Keep Strong Michael and Niamh ❤️”

In 2003, Flatley was also diagnosed with cancer after a spectator on MTV saw a malignant melanoma during an appearance.

He later underwent successful treatment for skin cancer, as reported by the Irish Independent “It was discovered entirely by mistake. I hadn’t even noticed it before. It can be a scary environment to be in.”

“A fear like that makes you even acutely conscious you need to live every minute while you can,” he wrote about it in his memoirs.
