The Philippines’ Department of Education (Deped) has begun an investigation into a Filipino teacher who recently uploaded a video to his Tiktok profile. It has also piqued the interest of authorities, who are now “insinuating a potential child abuse action.”

Deped Investigates Viral Tiktok Video Of a Filipino Teacher
DepEd has started its investigation on the viral Tiktok video of a Filipino teacher. In the video, he can be seen dancing and running his hand through his hair to catch the attention of a “cute” student.
According to Philstar, the video was posted by a user named @leobondoclopez. He has 104,000 followers on the platform. However, his account has switched to private.
The caption in the video reads, “Kapag dumaan ‘yung cute na student mo…tamang pa-cute lang” which translates to “When you try to look cute as your cute student passes by”.
The agency released a statement saying that DepEd is trusted to protect the right of every learner and will not tolerate any form of abuse towards children.
They also added that they want to remind the teachers and non-teaching staff to be aware of their words and action including their social media activities. All of it should be made to the highest degree of ethical and professional standards.
Child Abuse Allegations On Filipino Teacher
A Filipino teacher who made posted a video where he is trying to catch the attention of cute students is being investigated with child abuse allegations.
