Eamonn Holmes Surgery And Health Update: What Happened To Eamonn Holmes?

As he underwent an operation on Thursday to lengthen his neck and spine, Eamonn Holmes provided followers with another health update.

The 63-year-old GB News Breakfast host recently admitted that following spinal surgery in September, which led to a terrible fall, he “can’t walk.”

On the plus side, the presenter made light of his appearance while sharing a photo of himself attached to a spinal decompression table.

Eamonn was wearing straps across his head and shoulders that, in his opinion, looked like vintage sweatbands.

I appear like an 80s disco dancer, but I’m actually on a rack getting my neck and back stretched, he wrote in the description of the photo. Decompression of the spine.

Wife Ruth Langford, though, wrote: “Ouch! But I dig the 80s vibe!”

Negative intradiscal pressure is produced in the spine using computerized technology on spinal decompression tables.

It follows Eamonn’s admission that he is “not good” while providing an unsettling health report on his first GB News show back after the summer holiday.

The popular TV personality discussed how he is finding it difficult to adjust to life after spinal surgery in September, which was followed by a terrible fall, in a conversation with guest Tim Franklin, who is running across the world.

Tim talked about his own health problems and back concerns, and Eamonn acknowledged he “hadn’t recovered” from his. He confessed, “I can’t run, I can’t walk, I can’t do anything except watch TV and eat.”

I only have back issues last year, from which I haven’t fully recovered, he said. I have to say that the recipe is not nice; it is not good.

The celebrity first had sudden, acute back discomfort in the spring of 2021, which made him dependent on a walking stick. He eventually realized that his right leg’s limited motion was caused by three slipped discs.

Eamonn explained to The Sun in December 2021 how having a “trapped sciatic nerve” affected his family, who had to assist him with daily activities.

He admitted: ‘It’s been a difficult year. For months now I haven’t been able to walk, sometimes at all, and it has really taken its toll on everyone around me too…

Candid: The GB News Breakfast anchor recently revealed he 'can't walk' after spinal surgery last September , following which he suffered an horrific fall (pictured pushed by his son in February)

“Ruth has to wait on me because I can’t bend down to pick things up, and I know my sons in particular are a little embarrassed by the way I move around.”

When he traveled to Belfast in May of last year to host a celebration for his close friend and broadcasting icon Gloria Hunniford, things started to go south.

His spine troubles led to bladder and bowel problems, which led to a visit to the city’s Royal Victoria Hospital’s A&E department.

Eamonn was admitted right away for emergency surgery, but the procedure was abruptly postponed because the doctor thought it was “too complicated.”

Eamonn described how the three bulging discs were originally discovered in a scan to The Daily Mail, saying, “I still thought it would go away, but it didn’t.” I significantly lost the use of my right leg as a result.

“I had epidural injections, which helped, but only partially,” the patient said. Life was already getting more restricted when I started using a stick.

He believed that the spine and all of the nerves that branch out of it have a profound impact on many other issues and need to be addressed first. I was devastated. I had been in excruciating pain for a year and fervently thought that this might be the solution.

Instead, he was watched for nine days in a hospital before going back to England and starting a busy work schedule that culminated in live coverage of the Queen’s passing in September.

Late in September, Eamonn underwent surgery after getting in touch with a qualified doctor. It went well, the doctor cleaned up, and the discomfort has basically subsided, which is great, he remarked.

Eamonn’s left leg was also weakened as a result of the spinal surgery, and less than two weeks after the procedure, he tumbled backward down 18 stairs at the Weybridge house and landed on the stone floor at the bottom.

The terrible incident may have easily resulted in his death. Instead, he was found to have a damaged shoulder and weaker legs.
