The doctor will see you now.

On Dec. 21, the hit true crime series Dr. Death returns to Peacock for a second season, starring Wolf Like Me‘s Edgar Ramírez and Mandy Moore of This Is Us. The new episodes will see Ramírez play disgraced thoracic surgeon Dr. Paolo Macchiarini, described by the streamer as a “charming surgeon renowned for his innovative operations.” Moore’s Benita Alexander begins to fall in love with the so-called “Miracle Man” while writing an article about his works.

However, “the line between personal and professional begins to blur, changing her life forever. As she learns how far Paolo will go to protect his secrets, a group of doctors halfway across the world make shocking discoveries of their own that call everything about Paolo into question,” the show description teases.

And while the anthology series doesn’t require a rewatch of Season 1, there’s no harm in revisiting the scintillating debut episodes. Find out where to watch all episodes below…

When does Dr. Death Season 2 premiere?

Clear your calendars for Thursday, December 21, 2023 when all eight episodes of the upcoming season will drop on Peacock.

Keep the marathon going with Dr. Death: Cutthroat Conman, an accompanying docuseries about the rise and fall of Macchiarini, which will debut on Peacock the same day.

Where can I watch past seasons of Dr. Death?

The first season of the anthology series is streaming now on Peacock.

In the premiere season of the anthology series, Joshua Jackson played Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a spine surgeon working out of hospitals in Texas. Viewers watched as Jackson’s Dr. Duntsch injured 33 out of his 38 patients in less than two years, earning him the nickname “Dr. Death.”

Eventually, investigators realized that Duntsch was injuring, rather than healing, and brought charges against the man, making him the first doctor ever convicted of aggravated assault for care provided in the operating room.

There are multiple documentaries and Oxygen shows about the disgraced doctor. Among the many programs available to stream is the 3-episode docuseries Dr. Death: The Undoctored Story, streaming now on Peacock. The series features interviews with those directly involved or impacted by Duntsch’s medical practice.

Additionally, Oxygen covered the story of Dr. Duntsch in the series License to Kill, hosted by Terry Dubrow of Botched. The episode is titled “Deadly God Complex,” and is available online.
