GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida Police Department (UFPD) has issued a Public Information Bulletin about emails that were received today at the University of Florida and other universities nationwide; the emails threatened a shooting at the college “in protest of illegal activities at the hospital.”
UFPD says they believe the emails were sent by Jonathan Amit, who lives in Israel. Amit’s family reportedly said that Amit is in “a declining medical/mental state” and has no means to travel to the United States or carry out the threats.
