Stealing the first kiss from Grant Ellis on The Bachelor Season 29—despite claiming she never smooches a man on the first date—it is obvious that Allyshia Gupta is a frontrunner for the professional basketball player turned day trader’s final rose, but what is she like beyond what we’ve seen on the reality television series so far?
Sitting down with Grant during the premiere of The Bachelor, Allyshia delved into the details of her family, explaining that she is extremely close with her mother—who is a single mom, as well as an immigrant—but the Bachelor beauty has even more secrets that you would never know from the surface.
Keep scrolling for everything you need to know about her before The Bachelor progresses.
Allyshia Gupta’s Age
Allyshia Is 30 Years Old
Although The Bachelor filmed when Allyshia was 29 years old, she is now 30 years old, entering a new decade of life on November 4.
“dirty thirty 🍸” she captioned an Instagram post on November 6—just 48 hours after her special day—sharing a series of photos drinking champagne, eating chocolate-covered strawberries, spending time with her sister and more in West Palm Beach (in her home state of Florida).
With her November 4th birth date, her star sign is a Scorpio, “known for their intense passion, magnetic presence, and unyielding determination” (according to Allure).
The article continued, “The best match for Scorpios are those who seek similar levels of powerful intensity and soul-deep loyalty,” notably water signs like Cancer and Pisces.
With Grant being a Sagittarius—a “bright and vivid fire sign” that often does not mesh well with Scorpios—despite having conflicting star signs, let’s hope he and Allyshia have a spark nevertheless.
Allyshia Gupta’s Job
Allyshia Is An Interior Designer
Although Allyshia is currently an interior designer, she has lived several lives beforehand.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she attended Auburn University from 2014 to 2018, earning her BA in Business Administration and Management. Afterward, she moved to the Big Apple to attend New York School of Interior Design, where she earned her MA in Interior Design.
After graduation, Allyshia worked as an Assistant Media Planner at Horizon Media in Los Angeles, California—as well as a Designer at California Closets in New York City—all while simultaneously competing in the Miss Universe Organization.
Serving as Miss California USA 2020, Allyshia became the longest-reigning Miss California in the history of the organization. How iconic is that?
While hanging up her crown and sash once and for all, Allyshia wrote in an Instagram post, “Today is the day we get a new #MissUSA and what a batch to choose from!” She continued:
“I’ve imagined this moment for a very long time and I can confidently confirm, it is so much more than the imagination could dream up. Our time together as the quarantine class of 2020 has come to an end, but the memories we have made together will endure for a lifetime.”
“To the next Miss USA, you have an army of women behind you. March confidently ahead in the direction of your dreams,” she concluded, garnering over a thousand likes on said post.
Now that her time as Miss California USA 2020 has come to a close, Allyshia co-owns her own company—Lee Taylor Design Studio LLC—”a high-end residential and commercial interior design firm based out of New York City and Los Angeles.”
IMO, Grant needs to pop the question to Allyshia while he still can, because she sounds like a serious catch!

Aside from reflecting on her 30th birthday bash and her Miss California USA 2020 experience, Allyshia posts on Instagram for a variety of other reasons, giving Bachelor Nation a glimpse into who she is and what she enjoys beyond the reality television series.
Based on her Instagram profile, Allyshia enjoys hitting the beach (and the slopes), spending time with her friends and family, trying out new bars and restaurants and more.
Also based on her Instagram profile, Allyshia loves to travel, spending time in Colorado, Florida, New York, North Carolina, St. Tropez and more in 2024. We cannot help but wonder what vacation destination is next on her bucket list, though…
Perhaps she and Kelsey Curtis can take a trip to the tundra!
More On Allyshia Gupta
Aside from what we know about Allyshia from her Instagram profile, ABC describes the Bachelor babe as “a beautiful catch with a huge heart” to begin her official biography for the show. Said biography continues:
“The former pageant queen is currently the longest-reigning Miss California and isn’t afraid of taking risks. A lifelong equestrian lover, Allyshia is obsessed with all things horses but also loves a great beach day and hanging out with her dogs, Bentley and Bagel.”
Following what was said in her Bachelor biography, Allyshia also shared three fun facts with ABC:
- “Allyshia is a typical Scorpio… very mysterious”
- “Allyshia drove a Barbie-pink Vespa in college”
- “Allyshia is a pumpkin spice season queen”
Nevertheless, concluding her Bachelor biography, the network wrote that “Allyshia is a hopeless romantic who’s ready for a fairy-tale type of love,” but will Grant be her Prince Charming?
Although Allyshia is an obvious frontrunner, Grant has (or should we say had?) 24 other wonderful women to choose from:
