A video showing a man dressed in all black struggling to climb a tall security fence outside the White House has gone viral. Witnesses heard him uttering “f–k it” before attempting to scale the fence.

The incident was captured by a tourist as the man charged towards the fence on the South Grounds on Monday. He quickly began pulling himself up to the top of the fence.

“Bro!” one onlooker could be heard gasping as the black-clad man shimmied his way up to the top of the fence.

Officers watched on as the climber got to the top of the fence — with Secret Service agents inside the White House grounds racing toward the fence.

However, the climber encountered difficulties as he reached the spiked top of the fence. It seemed like he had a change of heart, deciding to retreat and climb back down. Nonetheless, he was immediately surrounded by security agents.

Oklahoma tourist David Stanley, who filmed the “surreal” experience, said the man in black said “f–k it” before running over.

Stanley told Fox 5 he and his wife could also see rooftop snipers “scurrying around” as officers zeroed in on the man.

Authorities have not released the identity of the climber or shared his motive for scaling the White House’s fence.

The 18-acre White House complex is secured by uniformed officers, special agents, mission support personnel and advanced protective systems, according to Fox.

It was not immediately clear if the suspect would face any charges.
