Kuzma then read her a love letter in the form of a poem that Harlow described as “the cutest ever. I was like tearing up, crying.” But she had no idea a proposal was coming because at the end of the poem she figured her beau was going to say, “Will you be my — Valentine?” Instead, he asked, “Will you be my — wife?” and that’s when she became “flooded with tears.”

Harlow added that she said yes before Kuzma even had a chance to show her the ring.

Why Harlow loves doing marriage counseling with Kuzma

During her conversation with Alex Cooper, Harlow also revealed why she and Kuzma attend marriage counseling even though they haven’t walked down the aisle yet. The supermodel explained that it’s proactive marriage counseling and something she really “enjoys” doing with her future hubby.

“I enjoy it so much,” she told Cooper. “I hate that nobody talks about it because it’s so necessary. You want to understand your partner, you want to be able to communicate with your partner. And, sometimes, it is difficult. But, learning the tools is the first step. Communication. It’s so corny to say, but it literally is that.”

Harlow also shared how she and the basketball player fit into each other’s schedules.

“I’ll plan things around his schedule sometimes, and then he’ll check my schedule to be like, ‘OK, cool. I actually see that I’m playing here and you’re going to be there for work,’” Harlow said. “So, it’s all communication.”

The model shared that at times they can get stuck in “work mode,” so they’ll have to remind each other how important it is to make time to connect and be present with one another.

“Sometimes, I’ll be traveling and he’ll be working, and I’ll come back and he’s in work mode,” she explained. “I could come back from a two-week trip, and then he’s in his schedule, focused,” she said. “He works out at a certain time, he wakes up at a certain time, he goes to the arena. All that stuff, he’s locked and loaded. And then, it’s ‘Hey, I’m back.’ But, making that important.”
