Halle Bailey has been granted a temporary restraining order against rapper and YouTuber DDG following allegations of domestic violence.

On May 13, a Los Angeles court approved the protective order for Bailey, 25, and her 17-month-old son Halo, whom she shares with DDG, real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.

The order requires DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from both Bailey and their child, and prohibits any direct or indirect contact.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, Bailey outlined a series of concerning encounters, including a January dispute that reportedly turned violent. During the altercation, she said DDG (born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) allegedly slammed her face into a car steering wheel. She submitted photos showing a chipped tooth and bruises as part of the filing.

“I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain,” Bailey wrote, further stating, “Darryl lacks an understanding of how his actions impact Halo. He is often verbally abusive towards me in front of Halo.”

Bailey also detailed several other alleged incidents, including a confrontation in March where DDG reportedly entered her home while she was away, sent her a threatening text, and days later locked her out of her house.

According to the documents, he allegedly took her phone and later threw it out of his car window. Bailey included Ring video footage of the incident in her report.

The most recent reported exchange occurred over Mother’s Day weekend.

According to the filing, DDG accused Bailey of being in St. Lucia with another man. The actress, who was traveling with her son and sister Chloe Bailey, responded to the accusation via text, writing, “Not with any man out here. I wouldn’t do that. I have Halo … Please let me enjoy my Mother’s Day in peace.”

Bailey also addressed DDG’s social media activity in the legal documents, stating that his public comments to his large online following have led to online harassment and threats against her. She expressed concern about the emotional impact these actions may have on their child.

“I have done everything possible to avoid going to Court,” she said. “I have tried to placate Darryl by providing him access to Halo, even though he is not with Halo and often leaves Halo with his Mother. I have facilitated his visits, no matter where I am and often last minute. I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this..”

Back in March, DDG publicly expressed frustration on social media, claiming Bailey was keeping him from seeing their son. “I just don’t want it to come to the point where he’s like, ‘Alright, my pops not around,’” he said during a livestream.
