DICKENSON COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — An extensive, months-long drug investigation in Dickenson County has led to 39 people facing charges.
According to Dickenson County Sheriff Jeremy Fleming, a large-scale arrest operation was conducted across the county on Friday.
In total, 39 people were charged and face more than 200 felony counts related to the distribution of illegal drugs, Fleming said.
“Our office remains committed to aggressively pursuing those who traffic illegal narcotics in our communities,” Fleming said. “This operation reflects the ongoing dedication and collaboration of local and state agencies in protecting public safety and holding offenders accountable.”
The 29th Circuit Narcotics Task Force, Clintwood Police Department and Virginia State Police assisted in the arrests.
“The sheriff’s office extends its appreciation to all partner agencies for their tireless efforts and seamless cooperation throughout this investigation,” Fleming stated.
