PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A former mixed martial arts fighter known as “The Cadillac” will spend the next 50 years behind bars.

A Multnomah County judge sentenced 33-year-old Zachary Lee Andrews to 50 years in prison on Friday for sexually assaulting three homeless women in Portland.

“While no prison term can undo the trauma he caused, this outcome ensures he can no longer hurt others,” Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez said in a statement. “We are grateful to the survivors whose courage and testimony brought the truth to light.”

Between October 2021 and October 2022, Andrews forcibly raped and strangled three unhoused women in their tents. He held one of the women against her will for 12 hours. In two of the cases, Andrews told police the women had a “force fantasy” and wanted the attacks.

Andrews was convicted of 16 charges, including three counts of rape in the first degree, two counts of sodomy in the first degree, three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree, three counts of strangulation, kidnapping in the first degree, unlawful penetration in the first degree, and three counts of assault in the fourth degree.
