Teyana Taylor is keeping her relationship status with Aaron Pierre under wraps for now.

The “Gonna Love Me” artist recently opened up about her rumored romance with Pierre, the actor known for “Mufasa: The Lion King,” but she stopped short of defining their relationship during her chat on Wednesday.

In a conversation with the Hollywood Reporter, Taylor mentioned that any official declaration about their relationship would be a mutual decision, emphasizing their shared understanding.

Nevertheless, the 34-year-old star of “One Battle After Another” expressed admiration for Pierre, 31, affectionately referring to him as her “apple pie” and revealing that they provide a comforting refuge for one another.

Speculation about their relationship began when they were spotted sitting together at the American Black Film Festival Honors back in February.

Pierre later shared photos with Taylor from their attendance at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala to his Instagram on Feb. 2.

Taylor further fueled romance rumors with the “Rebel Ridge” star in May 2025 by sharing a photo carousel of the pair taken during the 2025 Oscars.

“Oscar night in black & white, no grey area. 🤍,” Taylor captioned the photos with Pierre.

The relationship was confirmed in June when a video of the two stars locking lips began circulating on social media.

The clip was taken around the same time that Taylor surprised Pierre with a special 31st birthday party.

She also marked his birthday on social media with yet another flirty post showing a collection of cozy couple photos.
