In Salt Lake City, Utah, the USANA Foundation and various organizations have come together to address the impact of recent SNAP program cutbacks by assembling 3,000 food bags. This collaborative effort took place amidst ongoing reductions in federal SNAP benefits due to the government shutdown, which has heightened food insecurity issues across Utah.
The USANA Foundation, known for its commitment to supporting communities facing food insecurity, spearheaded the initiative. Volunteers from the Bountiful Food Pantry, Gathering for Good, For the Kids, and the Department of Cultural and Community Engagement also participated in this significant packing event.
