Tori Spelling and her former spouse are facing a hefty tax bill exceeding $1.3 million due to unpaid federal and state taxes.

This financial obligation is outlined in the final divorce settlement between the actress and Dean McDermott, officially concluding their 17-year marriage.

According to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the couple—Tori, 52, and Dean, 59—owe the IRS a staggering $1.2 million, with an additional debt of over $500,000 owed to the California Franchise Tax Board, as reported by Fox News Digital.

The court documents specify that each party is liable for at least $600,000 of the federal tax debt, while the state tax obligation is to be shared equally.

Additionally, the filings uncover a range of other financial burdens that have accumulated over the years.

The pair owe $37,000 to American Express, and continue to carry a long-standing balance with City National Bank stemming from a six-figure loan taken more than a decade ago that has since grown to nearly $400,000.

Further sums include Tori owing $288,000 to a private individual, $69,000 to another unnamed individual and $10,228 in uninsured medical costs.

Dean owes $22,000 from a student loan and a further $20,609 in uninsured medical bills.

The financial disclosures accompany earlier filings detailing the pair’s respective incomes.

In an income and expense declaration filed on September 5 and obtained by Page Six, Dean claimed Tori’s monthly earnings fluctuate between $3,000 and $75,000 ‘depending on the job’.

He stated his income stands at $3,800 per month, explaining his earnings fell sharply over the past year ‘due to the SAG/AFTRA strikes and change in the industry’.

He added: ‘My acting and producing work has decreased drastically.’

Tori and Dean announced their separation in June 2023 after nearly two decades together, and the actress filed for divorce nine months later.

Their split was finalized earlier this month, with Tori filing court documents outlining agreements on support, asset division and custody arrangements.

Documents state each will be responsible for at least $600,000 of the federal tax debt, and that the state tax bill will be split evenly (the two are seen in LA back in December 2018)

The former couple share five children – Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 8.

Dean also has a 27-year-old son, Jack, from his previous relationship with Mary Jo Eustace.

About two weeks after settling their divorce, she said ‘it’s been quite a journey’ while speaking candidly in the November 11 episode of her podcast misSPELLING.

This comes after she appeared somewhat downcast in her first public sighting since she and the Chopped Canada host figured out their settlement a couple of weeks ago. 

‘I am officially divorced,’ she began on her podcast. ‘It’s been quite a journey. I gotta say, you guys, this is something never said — this was one of the easiest divorces in Hollywood.’

‘You can quote me there. Screw it — take Hollywood out. This is one of the easiest divorces,’ she added. 

She also said it was ‘interesting’ that the pair experienced marital woes over two decades together but did not have any during the dissolution of their marriage.

‘It’s so interesting because Dean and I were together 20 years, married 18, and while we had our ups and downs and problems throughout our marriage, we’ve had absolutely no problems throughout the divorce,’ she shared.

She said that the reason the divorce went smoothly is ‘a testament to the two of us and wanting to really step up and be there for the five humans we chose to create out of love and setting a good example.’
