Few things can compare to the wrath of an expectant mother who feels insulted.
Meghan McCain, currently nine months into her pregnancy with her third child, didn’t hold back in her response to British far-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, who repeatedly mocked her weight on “The Tucker Carlson Show.”
“I understand that during the latest episode of Tucker Carlson’s show, my weight was a topic of discussion with his guest, particularly focusing on how fat I am,” McCain, 41, expressed in a post on X this Thursday.
“Indeed, I am quite large at the moment, being nearly nine months pregnant with my third child. However, I am also very content,” she continued.
While it was Yiannopoulos who made the offensive remarks, McCain criticized Carlson—a former Fox News contributor who claims to follow Christian beliefs—for allowing the conversation to happen on his platform.
“I don’t care how many times Tucker talks about being a Christian, that is not Christian behavior to engage in such a conversation on one of the largest podcasts in the world,” the daughter of late Sen. John McCain insisted.
Meghan, who is politically conservative, went on to argue, “This kind of meanness to women and hypocrisy is a classic example of why the right has such a problem with women voters of my generation.”
The former “View” co-host urged the public not to “feel bad” for her, as she’s been the subject of body shaming since the start of her media career at the age of 22.
“It is old, lazy, tired,” she said of the criticism of her physical appearance. “I don’t make my living off of ugliness like that and truly can’t fathom what life is like for anyone who does. It must be very dark.”
During Wednesday’s episode of Carlson’s podcast, he and Yiannopoulos spoke about “closeted gays” in right-wing media, with Yiannopoulos asking Carlson whether there was “anything gayer than John McCain’s bloodlust.”
He continued, “I mean, he’s even got the fat friend. It’s his daughter. He even bred the fat best friend. Is there a more ostentatious fat hag in America than Meghan McCain? You know, she hates herself. She’s fat. She’s crazy. She’s every gay man’s dream.”
Yiannopoulos — who has worked with controversial rapper Kanye West in recent years — did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
As for Meghan, she announced in June that she and her husband, Ben Domenech, were growing their family.
The couple — who are already parents to daughters Liberty, 5, and Clover, 2 — will be welcoming a baby boy.
