Jorge Polanco has officially joined the Mets roster.

The slugging infielder signed a two-year contract worth $40 million with the Mets on Saturday, according to Joel Sherman of The Post.

Last season, Polanco recorded a .265 batting average, a .326 on-base percentage, and a .495 slugging percentage, along with 26 home runs, while playing for the Mariners in 2025.

Although he primarily served as Seattle’s designated hitter last year, Polanco has showcased his versatility throughout his 12-year MLB journey, spending considerable time at second base, third base, and shortstop.

The Mets envision Polanco rotating across the infield, with a focus on first base—formerly Pete Alonso’s position—while also contributing as the team’s designated hitter.

A Dominican Republic native, Polanco played 10 seasons for the Twins before heading to Seattle, making the American League All-Star team and receiving some MVP votes during a career-best 2019 season.
