Gwyneth Paltrow recently took to Instagram to share a heartfelt slideshow of snapshots from her past week, featuring a striking selfie with her daughter, Apple Martin. The pair’s resemblance caught the attention of many fans.

Apple, now 21 and a senior at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, faced some criticism after a performance on October 17. She sang with the Los Angeles-based duo Jade Street at Cannery Hall in Nashville, a performance that drew mixed reviews due to its off-key moments.

In an interview with The Telegraph earlier this month, Apple reflected on her unique upbringing. “I constantly remind myself how fortunate I am for these opportunities,” she said. “While my childhood was far from typical, my parents made sure I understood that I shouldn’t feel entitled. ‘I was such a fan of her company [Goop] which seemed to be about uplifting women,’ the 53-year-old disgraced HR manager told The Times last week.

‘And then she did this. I thought, “How dare she after the beating she got for all the conscious uncoupling stuff.” What a hypocrite.’

Cabot didn’t mention Paltrow’s 48-year-old ex-husband nor Ryan Reynolds, whose marketing agency Maximum Effort masterminded the whole campaign.
